Have you cheated death?
Posted: 11/13/2009 12:01:00 PM
Don't know about cheating death, but those Final Destination films really freaked me out! Imagine being stalked by death? It actually being a constant presence about you, knowing you have seen your own death and trying to beat it. I suppose death does stalk us, when you really think about it. I don't like to think too hard though, life is for living not worrying when it ends!

Regards climate change, is the phrase save the planet misleading?
Posted: 11/13/2009 7:27:23 AM
Well it is changing, I mean look at the weather for instance. They used to say "april showers", but october and november this year has been REALLY wet! We don't need an excuse to destroy ourselves either, humans have been killing eachother for centuries. No harm in doing our bit for the planet though, but better putting more energy into saving ourselves.

Brits are ugly and so say all of them............!
Posted: 11/13/2009 7:16:47 AM
You may have the looks outside, but can be very ugly inside. True beauty comes from within, that's where you find perfection. The moral of the story? Never judge a book by its cover. Well that's how I see it, and that site is just a bunch of narcissists (spellcheck) . We're all beautiful to someone, even my fugly face must be!

X factor 2009
Posted: 11/9/2009 12:40:54 PM

Do we know that the votes are counted in a honourable fashion? I doubt it. That's why talentless idiots get through

That's a little harsh, I wouldn't say they're totally talentless. They're just on the wrong show, being used like the rest of them in a game of chess. I agree on the voting though, how are we meant to know the ACTUAL amount of phone votes cast 'correctly' for each act?
The sing off, is also totally pointless as someone said if it goes to deadlock. A better idea, would be allow the STUDIO audience (no family members) to vote instead on the last two. Forget involving the mentors at that stage, they're always going to side with their acts anyway.

X factor 2009

No, John and Edward had 2 votes against them, if Simon had voted for Lucie she would have been saved.

Louie voted first, picked Lucie to go obviously! Danni voted next, chose Jedward to go (two mentors picking their own acts). Then Cheryl voted, she picked Jedward to go. So two votes for Jedward, Simon Coward chose to sit in the fence and picked Lucie to go. He doesn't care about anyone but himself, all he see's is £ signs and veiwers/phone ratings rake it in.
I don't hate Jedward, they have some sort of talent but it's not singing. I feel sorry for them actually, and all the other acts in this show for that matter. They're merely pawns, being paraded for their own mentors egos if you ask me

X factor 2009
Posted: 11/9/2009 3:26:26 AM

in that fact that the judge who had the deciding vote have chickened out of "dropping the hammer"

Well they should change the format then, remove their powers to say who stays and goes come the last two. Or even allow the two judges, who have no acts in the bottom two to vote first? Simon Cowell IS a hypocrit, he voted Jedward for one reason. The reason being, those that CAN SING are a threat to his acts.

Lucie WAS a threat, he knows the two clowns are loved by 'the public'. They keep voting them in, to see what shambles of an act they have for next week. No disrespect to those who genuinely like the boys, but they belong on a TALENT show not a SINGING one. In my opinion, the show is literally a total farce for letting it go this far.

Well my favourite went last night, Lucie Jones was ousted by the public! I can't believe, that she got less votes than dumb & dumber . I'm more angry at Simon****eadCowell!!!! He's hated them from day one, but chose to let us decide.

Wtf do we know about 'Musical Talent'? Well nothing apparently, as a proper VOCALIST lost out. Okay Jedward are good for a laugh, maybe even have careers doing kids parties. Possibely even, they will be the next Ant & Dec. I'm boycotting XFactor now though, it's nothing more than a joke after this result!

Nikolay Valuev is 7"2 & 24st

And a face, like a bulldog chewing a wasp This is a complete mismatch, it's like pitting a ballet dancer with a full grown grizzly bear! Good luck to our lad though, he looks more the proper boxer. If I was to meet either in the street though? The russian, would make me soil my pants by just saying hello!

I don't know about types of greeting, but there's one thing about the police I have noticed. They all seem to possess the same knock, the shyte your pants time type of knock on door! Never changes the tone, just a robust THUMP THUMP THUMP! Doesn't bother me like, as I'm such a law abiding citizen .

She tried to set up a profile on here but it messed mine up...something to do with tools on the top bar

She's not blonde is she? hehe only messing Settings changed (I think, or maybe I'm blonde too!). You can give it a try Cilla, who knows you might have to buy a hat for the wedding . Back to topic though, I did say about being in the right place at the right time in my previous post. I agree though, the older you are the smaller the pond to fish in .

One of my housemates as the hots for a certain welsh fella on here and does she ever shut up about him? Does she hell!

I wonder who that could be CB962? Still, us welsh boys are handsome devils I suppose (who am I trying to kid!) . I wouldn't say dating people, that you haven't met online is hard. I think it's more, of being in the right place at the right time in the "REAL" world.... PS: I'm waiting miss housemate

Quite simply, the pen (or text in this case) is mightier than the sword. Words on paper, or even put on a screen don't really show the full spectrum of emotion. You can't hear the intent, the eyes can decieve more than the ears. Wow I best shush, I'm sounding quite intelligent!

I never want to meet another man as long as I live.

That's just anger, and some very righteous frustration talking. Not all of us are bad, maybe he's realised the grass isn't greener on the other side? I'm not having a pop at you sjxx, I can see you're really hurting badly . You just need time out, we have all been let down by those we love/loved. Life is a total bytch, but learn to live it and not just exist it. x

School Children and Respect for Teachers.
Posted: 10/22/2009 5:13:58 AM
As someone said above, teachers/heads have worked for and earned to be respected. They have skills to teach, and pupils to learn these skills. If the kids don't want to learn, or even show any respect? Then what the hell are they doing in a place of education?
The cane was in my school, it did me no harm in growing up learning discipline. I'm fed up with it, the kids today don't know they're fecking born! Shame on the parents too, who were probably brought up on discipline. Lack of respect, no discipline and they wonder why their little darlings turn into arrogant little sods!
Bring ALL archaic rules back in school I say, something definately needs doing in my opinion.

NHS Value far outweighs its cost
Posted: 10/19/2009 7:22:27 AM
No chance! The american health care is terrible. If you're poor, you get treated like some sort of refugee medical wise. If the NHS was so bad, then why has it lasted so long? God forbid they privatise it, like the mess they made of British Rail. We have BUPA anyway, for those who want to pay for "prompt" medical service don't we?

How do you define human interest?
Posted: 10/19/2009 6:51:52 AM
Simple, human interest means something different to everyone. That's the beauty of being "Human", there is no actual definity to it. Your title should have been, "How do you differentiate human interest". Lots of things interest me, too many to even mention on such a specific thread. What you class as "unusual and the bizarre", might actually be normal to another person. Like chopper said, he likes looking at ladies bums . It might seem trivial, but it's more fun than being interested in things we have no control over. But I'm with chopper, I love ogling the female posterior!

X factor 2009
Posted: 10/19/2009 2:45:43 AM
I said Saturday night, that I thought Ricky Loney would go. I Had him, Rachel and the GOD AWFUL! twins in the bottom 3. He's a nice lad Ricky, but never had that OOMPH in his voice to compete. It was painful to watch Whitney speaking to Dermot, she seemed to be searching for words all the time. Brain totally addled, and in my opinion? Should be in hospital until fully fit again. I have always loved her music, but she looked like a 3rd rate club singer Sunday night .

Don't know what's happened to XFactor this year, but so far? It looks like they want to wheel out drugged up has beens. Maybe it's a ploy, to show the kids what drugs can do to you and to keep away from the stuff? Anywho I digress, Luci Jones to win! Cymru am byth.

Any person employed, by any company who's moody with joe public should go. I'm sick to death, of staff in any establishment wearing blank expressions. No passion in their work, treat the paying customers like cattle. You don't have to be happy in your job, but a smile (even if faked) goes a long way.

Leona Lewis.....What it would look like like if a Lion and a Horse had a "baby"

That made me chuckle! Bit harsh belting a woman, I'd go as far as slapping her on the arze though. Men celebs, who I wouldn't think twice to batter would be...
1) Gordon Brown (breathe properly FFS!) SMACK!
2) John and Edward (xfactor dorkus maximus twin plebians) DOUBLE HARD SMACK!
3) Louis Walsh (jaunty irish judge on xfactor) WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? SMACK!
4) Russel Brand (no c0ckney speaks this thick) SMACK PUNCH KICK BITE!

Rant Over .

Never too old for jeans, I still wear them in my early 40's. I don't like the stone washed ones, or the really dark blue new looking kind yack! . I wear straight legged jeans, prefer black ones myself. As for camel toes, I think they're best left on camels .

Erm, well isn't that what a "biography" is anyway? Just another fad if you ask me, nothing more than a souped up secret diary of adrian mole. The past is there for a reason, you can't change anything so why keep a record of it? Plus, isn't that what our brains are for memories?

He was on the xfactor with it, I hate the way shows like that try to plug ailing artists careers back. Personally, I thought it was the biggest load of shyte I've heard from him in a long time. His earlier stuff was good, but this new one was totally dire! Also, he looked totally spaced out on something? Going round the audience, shaking hands and saying hello to people. Very odd behaviour, and a very strange man.

fair play to the scots and irish..they dont feck around when they think they are being given a bad deal by the goverment..they stand up and let themselves be heard

chopper, that's because like us Welsh? They're Celts! Mad warrior class, who will fight til the death to get what we want . Plus, we get more rainfall than you southern English softies hehe. Seriously though, water rates are astronomical! When I moved into my council flat, I got a water bill for it AND from my previous place.

It was over £400 , but I do pay it off by a payment card at £18 fortnightly. As for rainwater gathering? Just boil it up, should be fine after that

Peer Pressure
Posted: 10/13/2009 5:58:06 PM
When I was in my youth, I was a 'victim' of peer pressure. The lads I was with, dared me to jump off the pier (sorry for the pun) in Llandudno. They were all doing it, and I flatly refused to take part. So they all ganged up on me, picked me up and threw me off! True story that, I have always done my own thing never been pressured. But seriously though, I have to agree with this very short but true statement...

Peers pressure sorts the sheep from the herder

A lot of kids today, are more the sheep than the herders. I was once a father, to my EX wifes daughter. It must be hard for real parents, but in all honesty? There's not a lot I would think you can do, short of locking your kids away from other kids forever. Like when we were kids, we made our own mistakes and drove our own parents to dispair.

Great idea! I seen the film "Total Recall" making sense now. I saw that clip with Arnie, as he legged it through the scanner as a skeleton with his gun as GENIUS! I hardly think optional, as most here say it's a necessity. The point? Progress, that's the point.

It was a little uncalled for that comment from Danni, but the same could be said for those aimed at Kandy Rain. Danni, and Cheryl basically calling them sluts. I know they're all in competition as judges, but NOT at the expense of the contestants. These poor sods, are being mocked for parts of their lives, that have NO baring on their vocal talents. It gets worse every year, no need to publically humiliate the contestants. It makes my blood boil!!

Has anyones intuition or 'gut feeling' ever been wrong about a date?

Not all gut feelings are bad, you need your head as well as your heart to make choices. The heart for your emotional feelings, and your head for the logical ones. We all feck up, so there's no harm in being wrong. It's what makes us all human, something I'm very proud of.

Is the pill putting women off masculine men?
Posted: 10/9/2009 5:23:22 PM
I'm about as masculine, as a stick of limp celery . I try to be macho, but the ladies just laugh at me! Maybe it's just my sense of humour, or the fact I'm just too open with my feminine side? I always get the phrase "you have a heart of gold" said to me, is that some female metaphore for saying I'm a wimp? As for the pill, I tend to steer WELL clear of a woman during "her time". Just on the safe side, I like my balls on me and not in a jar!

It's just the minority, of both female AND males radars that are wonky. Like kids in sweetshops, they veer off and go "ooo I like that"

Posted: 10/8/2009 3:36:59 AM
Why should we require a password and user name for ever – just to conduct 1 transaction with e.g. Easy Jet, Last Minute or Halfords?

I agree with that bit, they should have something like this added in their registering details. As a one time user, where you're allowed to give your real details (securely of course). Then at the end of your transaction, are given the option if YOU want? To register with them in full. It's a shop online, we don't walk into real shops and do this do we? Stupid!!

I agree with the number of profiles though that say this! It's like, most POF members are too knackered after all their training, to actually go out finding a date. They should change the site name, I think it should be "Plenty Of Fitness Fanatics" .

If I ruled the World...?
Posted: 10/8/2009 3:03:43 AM
If I ruled the world, I would probably get assassinated. I could have all my policies laid out, all good intentions and mean well for ALL. But you can bet, there will be someone who thinks they can do better. It's the way of the world sadly, so saying if you did? Is pretty pointless. Leave it to some other mug, they all end up being overthrown or murdered anyway!

Nice Report, very well laid out and probably very true to some extent. However, I'd have to say totally pointless. It's the nature of the beast sadly, and no amount of analysis will fix it. I'm sure you're guilty, of talking to a decent enough looking lady and then finding a better looking female show an interest in you. Maybe you haven't, but a lot of people will have done what you said. I have even been guilty of doing the same, and said lady lost interest in me! Basically, you have a no win situation on your hands. However, you can find someone you really do click with on ALL levels.

I have! She's gorgeous, witty and very intelligent. She might not be all of those things to someone else, but she's perfect for me. Some do see this site, as merely a popularity contest sure. Yet most, are here to find that special someone.

X factor 2009
Posted: 10/5/2009 5:07:38 AM
From the early stages, you could see who would be the likely final 12. To me it's all a bit faked, I mean did you see Cheryl Cole's VERY poor acting? When that young lad with the opera type voice came along. Her little looks to him, and then looking away all nervy was sooo wooden . Is that to make us all sit on the edge of our seats, wondering oh what's going to happen now?

If it was a real moment, she was very cruel to come back and give him a NO . It's pretty obvious who makes the 12 anyway, first one up it's usually a YES and the last two up for the final place? Has a crap one, and a fairly decent one to pick. It's not rocket science, I just can't stand the way they mess with peoples emotions dragging it out. Just be bluntly honest with them, and tell them sorry you're not good enough.

But they don't, they drag it out and praise them with false hope that's cruel in my book . Anywho I digress, Lucie Jones and Stacey Solomon. Those two, seem to be the only really genuinely shocked and honest people I have seen. As I'm welsh however, I have to go with Lucie Jones to win this charade!

I get told often, that I look good for being my age of 42!! . Now all I need, is for a 20 something female to say... You look good for your age, I'd bang you like a barn door.
Still waiting for that, one can dream I suppose .
