Is cooking considered a gender role?

Yes, it has been a man's place for most years, now you want us to think it's the woman's domain?

soups from chains like TGIFridays all come from a big plastic bag, heated, like boil in bag. So I doubt any recipes are too accurate for these chains.

anyone see this on espn? The book is about the unrecognized black hockey league. Blacks slaves from america in nova scotia, they invented the slap shot 50 years before the CHL!

Don't delete this thread, it just makes you all look like a bunch of bigots. Black history.

Virginia tried to lose too. Pitt can't lobby for a #1 seed now. I agree Clemson and OK are done, too bad. Florida getting knocked off was cool, looks to be a wide open draw. I still think the Pac-10 can land 6 teams in the tourney. Great time to watch, Georgetown is the hot team now again.

UNC looked to be in trouble, but they appear to have righted that ship. Meanwhile back at the ranch the Cav's and Cowboys of Ok St trying to shoot themselves in the foot? Vandy also losing. It really is going to be one great tourney. 3 mondays and we see the brackets. I can post mine on a page at my site to be seen. Do we get two? On for the fan? With AZ and UCLA in the finals? And the realistic one with maybe OSU and Kansas? Virginia and Pitt (Hey Washington gave you 38 minutes of Pac-10 ball). Big East-Pac 10 match up is my wish.

sea level, got that, cool. Good luck there. I miss lua lua most. And BBQ chicken box lunches. Mostly I miss the seafood, many a day bring home my own reef fish for grilling out or on the beach even. The Koreans were famous for eating the tako right off the reef, sucking those eyes out, treating the entrails with chili and chopping the rest up for soup. Doesn't sound that good does it? LMAO

I did see Wisc lose, fun season. I am agreeing, no one dominant. Should be a great tourney. My boy Lute may not be able to get his boys ready to peak and play as a team. I see the Pac-10 play every week since they are all regional to me. I did see UCLA lose that one and I thought even lowly ASU should have beat them but choked it away with 3-4 minutes to go. They have come close to losing other games in Pac -10 play. I don't see them as solid enough to go far, maybe sweet 16? Of course the fan in me believes the 'cats have the best starting 5 in Pac-10 play and most of the US. Now that Hill is starting they have a great 6th in McClellan, but will it happen? Doubt it. But AZ came in as a 9th seed when they ran for the title in '97!

I will try and get over it when they lose and enjoy the tourney? How do we do an online bracket?

during the 12 game stretch they looked and played like a Lute Olson teams: a lot of passing, driving the lane, getting trips to the foul lines. In short, they played like a team. Since then I have seen some of that, but mostly I have seen 5 players who were all going to be playing in the NBA someday, playing like players showcasing.

If you look at the power ratings Santa Clara matches up well with you. But projections never seem to happen, no point in speculating this early. Your team playing well is good for our power rating too. BTW, AZ Wildcats had (depends on whose rating) the #1 toughest schedule in div 1, some as low as 7th toughest schedule. Only Big East and the ACC look to be as tough.

I would let my kid play for Bobby also. He has never had an investigation for recruiting violations. And this man probably had the largest war chest of any college coach at that time.

Your cavs played my cats early when we lost an 18 point lead. Then won 12 straight. I am looking forward to the tourney but conference tourneys first. I love those also.

Wildcat fan (AZ Wildcats) here struggling through the worst season in memory. But I still expect the Pac-10 to be represented by maybe 5-6 teams in the dance. A lot of good teams out there. I like UCLA, Oregon St, Memphis is playing well now. All of the ACC looks good, with Duke in about the same situation as my 'cats. Both look to be a bubble team. If both are in it may be simply on the strength of a coach and a program. All of the top 5-6 should go fairly deep in the tourney.

George Mason couldn't have been called the "fourth best team" for the year, maybe the fourth hottest team in march. Winthrop could be the next GM?

Hawaiian Treats

I am not sure how you can make this happen without the right ingredients, But I am now in AZ and there is an Aloha Kitchen here. I have tasted their pork (which I assume was never in the ground) and it doesn't taste the same as what I remember. I know they are using real taro and Ti leaves so, you may be able to find these. I would seek out the appropriate ingredients and try and pull this off Hawaiian style. I have made virtually all of the other foods of hawaii in my new home save that one.

Just curious, why would the hawaiian method not work in fl?

Every state in the union makes wine, even Alaska, it doesn't mean they are good. As for homemade wines, No better than homemade "jack" wine. I guess this post shows that there is a market for everything , even that AM crap. I am not a wine snob, just hate bad wine!

Am I wrong? What is your favorite cheese?
Posted: 1/20/2007 6:53:24 AM

I do have to admit that 1 box of Velveeta (microwaved) and 1 can of spicy Rotel tomatoes make the BEST quick dip. Give me a ritz and I'm happy!

How do they do it? Add velveeta to a column about CHEESE! it isn't cheese.

Butcher vs. the Grocery Store?
Posted: 12/25/2006 6:43:31 AM
the butcher stores here regularly get shut down for health code violations. I used to have to buy from one for my boss and it just seemed dirty to me. The people in the grocery know how to cut, this isn't rocket science. I am a chef and can cut meat. No real challenge to it. Since most of it is cut anyway.

Cool, making your own wreaths is cool. I did. It takes me back to the days when we would get a permit and drive up to the hills and cut our own tree and used to make wreaths out of the trimmed tree, usually you can get enough from the bottom of the tree to make a wreath.

Does anyone read the rules? Does anyone hear this? None of you get it, clearly. I could care less about the recipes.

I am glad all is happy here then, she is horrible violator of the rules, regardless of where the recipes come from, the point is the thread is a violation, this is probably the only part of the forums, maybe in poems also (no one goes to those), where you will not be flagged down and removed for doing this continually. It looks like a desperate cry for attention doesn't it? Have a nice day
