as for the hoppers, best to pick them up before coming out , I may or may not be able to get them so best come prepared, Velocity is 270-280, as for paint, depends on how trigger happy you are, 500 rounds might last 3 hrs, would only last me an hour though, we'll be there all day, till 430 or so, everyone can quit when they like, rest when they like.

Paintball field near Hamilton
Posted: 7/16/2008 1:36:56 PM
it is all ages,10 and up, caters more to a group outing but still entertains individual walk ons. The play areas arent huge by any means and the rates are set up for per hour play. Look around, Im not putting it down by any means, if you're looking for a cpl hours, no more, of decent fun, its a great place from what I remember, if you're more interested in playing for a whole day for not much more , then I know another place in Hamilton

look up SOF

thnx Sk8 or Die for the assist, as WAKD group attendee its even cheaper!!!
the $50 and upward is accurate but where some pay $120 or more we pay a lot less, if you are trigger happy its quite a savings I assure you.
As for the clothing again, you're right,, appropriate clothing depends on your tolerance of the paint impact, suggested are a long sleeve loose fitting top (jacket or tee) and loose fitting pants, this reduces the impact felt, runners or hiking boots which arent new and shiney lol, you must be willing to sweat and get dirty, and definately bring GLOVES!!! a must!! any kind will do, preferable thin gloves, makes for easier handling of gear. Any questions, feel free to post them here or message me.

Thats being kept quiet out of respect for the family, all WAK'D members who dont know yet will know at the event, just keeping it from public is all. Like the old days, how we met her here, we're hoping to crank it up again , bring more great peeps into the group, some of the best people I've met were thru this, paintball events.

It's been awhile since we've done this, due to the recent passing of a WAK'D member who we met here on pof at one of these very same events, it felt fitting to do this again, in her memory, introduce new people to the sport of paintball, as she did.

On July 26th we're hitting up Flagraiders Cambridge outdoor paintball for a huge gathering, some 30 plus members attending, we invite you. Ever wanted to try paintball? or just want to come out and play with some great people? here's your chance.
All day paintball. Establishment fee's apply but by attending as part of the WAK'D group you'll receive HUGE discounts! I'm not at liberty to post the rates but feel free to message me to ask for them and then check out the regular rates at www.flagraiders.com and tell me its not a sweet deal.

I have a large group that goes to a Cambridge location to paintball every second weekend, we save almost 50% when we go, its a regular rate my group gets anytime we go, regardless of number of attendee's. The group all started here at plenty of fish 2 years ago and we always welcome newbies and first-timers. The group of peeps are really good with teaching you what you need to know and helping you out any way you need, they host clinics for newbies regularly and they're a whole lot of fun too. If you are ever interested in trying it out, contact me, I'll give you details and let you know when we're going again.

Paintball,,, WAK'D style
Posted: 4/5/2008 12:09:08 PM
Here's a concept,,,,,,, MADBALL, an Adrenalin pumped sport in a charged up atmosphere.

Together with Flagraiders Kitchener, WAK'D is throwing out the idea of 5 live bands playing while ballers play the speedball course at the kitchener Flagraiders indoor. If there is enough interest, the event would take place on a designated thursday night starting at 9:30pm. There would be a general admission cover charge, whether you are there to play paintball or just watch the bands and the ballers. There would then be a small fee to play paintball and an additional fee to rent gear if you dont have your own. This would be an all ages non alcohol event, although there would be non alcoholic beverages and food available during the event. If this sort of event interests you, please contact us at the link above and let us know. We are also looking for 3 more bands for such an event, 2 bands, a death metal and a SKA/Rock band have allready expressed interest in volunteering their time and talent, Rock, Punk, Core genre bands preffered but not essential, a wide palet of tastes would be best to cater to. Dont hesitate, contact us now, the sooner we get feedback the more likely it is to happen. All details will be worked out and promoted as soon as enough interest is shown. Thanks for taking the time to read this, your co-operation is essential.

thnx for getting the thred up Jeff.

ok peeps,, heres the low down,,, Jeff and I and countless others are members of a group which was born here on POF. I decided to call out paintballers to play and some showed, we then decided to make an effort at trying to get newbies, men and women, into the sport and out with us. 7 of us with 8 newbies attended the first time april of 2006,, we now have a group of over 200 members,,, 80% had never played before coming out with us. Not all attend at once but we usually have a group of 15 or more members show up at any given time. What are the benefits? We now have great pricing deals with a particular Paintball field owner which allows me to bring this awesome game to you for almost half the price it would cost you to get out and play anywhere otherwise. We also have a great group of people,,, always respectful, courteous and helpfull, especially to first timers,,, they were too not very long ago.
Check out the facility at www.flagraiders.com ,,, the Cambridge location. Feel free to check out thier prices as well,,, you will see,,,,, this is a steal!!!! average day costs above $120 for a walk on,,,, look at our rate above.
So,,, great peeps, great price,,, what else do you need to give this exciting sport a try?
sign up and see for yourself what all the rage is,, you wont be dissapointed, I swear. I have never had someone come out and not enjoyed it,, hell,,, 95% of those who do attend join our group,, everyone gets hooked.

hope to see you out there,if you dont enjoyit,, I'll strip and streak along Kossuth rd until someone arrests me hahaha

do you have air or co2 supply?
as for clothing, bush camo or dark colours work best, unless you like being a target like me lol.
If you can stand the hits, a tee is what I play in, usually layers are good tho, long sleeve tee under a short sleeve or a light kway jacket(loose fitting).
bring Gloves!!!!!!!!!! Anyone planning on playing bring gloves!!!!!!!!! an absolute must!!!! bmx, riding gloves, tight fitting leather gloves, mechanics gloves all work best.
Footwear is usually important too, something with a really good tread, hiking boots are usually great, or new sneakers as long as you wear loose fitting long pants.

Anyone from Kitchener able to offer up a ride for Insl8r?????
ChrisV, Sentraz, KB, ClownPrince? anybody?

Anyone can leave at anytime so don't worry about meeting those deadlines, you'll make them, unless you get sooo hooked you say screw them lol I do it all the time hahahahahaha.
Welcome in everyone, any questions, feel free to ask here, some of our regulars (like SHAWN) are posting here and will jump in and help when Im out, or feel free to send myself or Lynden-Jeff an email, more than happy to give the 411.

thnx for reminding me Shawn, slipped me,,, they DO provide lunch, a beverage and Hotdogs usually. Joe and the Flagraiders cru are a great bunch, run a good show. Thier outdoor courses are the best! and they are kind enuff to let me run this free clinic, apparantly, whenever I want, so this will be the first of many, Im thinking of having a clinic everytime we have an event out there.

C'mon peeps, meet a great bunch, learn a bunch and maybe have the best experience you've had in a long time, some would say ever, like former POF first-timer gone Paintball FANATIC Sntrazgurl, same story for ThousandMileWish, as well as SweetnSassy, Anthonie, AngelEyes, Dom, Stalker, I cant remember them all, all POF members, they've all come out every time since the first time, feels like Ive been Paintballing with them since forever lol

Every single one of them, never played before, came out with this group from POF and are hooked since, and yes, most of them women, meet them and ask them for yourself, so what are YOU afraid of?

if you like it, it will cost $20 walk on fee and up to $70/ case, with a rental marker you may shoot half a case or less, half a case is $35, a quarter case is $20, so, you could play for as low as $40/case. This would allow you from when we finish the clinic till they close. Usually 6:00
This is a fraction of what regular rate walk ons pay, you pay our group rate.
From Valens, head north on #6, jump on the 401 then take the above directions from there.

Paintball Clinic May12 Cambridge Flagraiders!!!!
Posted: 4/21/2007 7:41:16 PM
On May 12th, myself and members of WAK'd Paintball will be giving a FREE paintball clinic at FlagRaiders Cambridge location at 10am. Anyone interested in a free day of Learning about paintball, suiting up in the gear and trying the different types of markers (shooting at an inanimate target) to get a feel of what paintball is like?
Hear from recent newbies in the sport (male and female).
This will be in a controled and safe environment, you would not be in game play or underfire, I repeat, at no time would you be shot at, only you will be firing a marker and only at a target. You'd get to try the gear and markers and get an understanding of the game, safety and rules. See what all the hype is about.

This will be run by skilled and experienced individuals such as myself and other members of my organization WAK'd Paintball.

I gaurantee you no-one will be hurt during the clinic. The Clinic will consist of 1 person wearing gear shooting 3 different types of markers at a fixed target, not at a person. At no time during the clinic will a person be a target. The clinic will take approximately 2 hrs depending on the turnout and will involve safety, rules and tips and techniques. It will also be held at 2 different locations (Hamilton and Cambridge) on 2 different dates , both at Paintball venues which WAK'd will be booked for the day for game play. Should anyone at the end of the clinic wish to gear up and play,, it will be available to you at the same group rate we pay, which is always posted on our regular event threds . When we book the fields it is private, our field, we decide who is on it playing, we play a closed group, we are all members of an organization (Wak'd Paintball) whose primary objective is to give everyone and anyone equal opportunity to try and enjoy an awesome sport.
Thank you all for your interest and I assure you, you will enjoy this.

Everyone who has felt any intimidation at all,,, it's gone, this clinic removes all intimidating factors and allows you to get a taste of and knowledge of what paintball is really all about.
If anyone has questions about anything they are unsure of,, do not hesitate to contact me, there is no such thing as a dumb question,, well,,, except for the one that isnt asked.
The clinic will be seperate from the game play, it will merely be at the same location so if you want to try it out, if we build yer nerve and rid of the intimidation, you will be welcomed to play with the group allready playing but only if you want to.

Hope to see tons of ya's at the clinic!!!!

After Clinic Rates:
Walk on fee with own gear $20
add $10 for rental gear
Paint...... $60/case whitebox, $70/case premium (regularly $120/case)
also sold in partial case quantities.

We welcome all those who merely want to know more about the sport to those who want to give it a shot but have felt too intimidated.
This clinic is being held at a paintball field, you will get a sense of the environment if you have never experienced it before.

We look forward to seeing you there.
Directions will be posted approximately 1 week prior to event.
Come on out, the clinic is FREE!!!

Gotta love military sim hahaha
I remember the good ol' days, 88, Trenton

Have fun CDNREDNK

The location we are looking at is the Cambridge outdoor, we may use the Kitchener indoor in a cpl mnths. Speedball is a little too intense for most first timers, they feel too intimidated, scenario or Bushball is a much more relaxed atmosphere. The Indoor scenario is way too pricey for something like this, WAK'd does not get a price plan for the indoor scenario at this time, but we do for the speedball and the outdoor.

The Clinic will be FREE with the option to join the WAK'd Posse in game play afterwards for the rest of the afternoon at OUR rates. Details will come soon.
Also be looking for our May 24 event thred soon to come, the only restrictions to the may24 event is "for gear owners only" , must have own gear,, so far anyway, Im working on an arrangement for gear rental, we'll see.

May 24 Camping/Paintball/ Clinic at Ranch??????

Would anyone here be interested in a May24 Camping/ Paintball/ Clinic event being held at a ranch outside of Kitchener? The Ranch has Horses (trails) and other livestock, would be a bring yer own tent/ Bevvies and some paintball rental gear and supplies would be available. There would be Paintballing and Trail riding during the day and a designated party area at night. The Clinic would be held for peeps who are interested in playing or knowing more about paintball. Its all an idea in the works, so far its looking like a go.
If enuff interest is posted here we're gonna post the event.
Feel free to ask for further details.
