Best Place To Go Country Dancing In The Lower Mainland?
Posted: 11/1/2006 12:57:06 AM
That was the 8 SECOND SALOON and I use to bounce there. Sorry but the place has closed down. At least they don't play country music anymore. To bad because that place had alot of promise. There was even some POF parties there too. I have bounced at 3 country bars in the lower mainland and I would say that Boone County is still the best. Although I am interested in checking out Big Sky and seeing what it is like. Maybe if it is good we should have a POF party there.

Have a good one!

Do many of you ENJOY cooking?
Posted: 9/15/2006 3:11:43 AM
I enjoy cooking so much that I think that cooking and grilling are two different things. Then once you start Barbequeing, well that is something totally different.

Asparagus and cheese sauce from heaven
Posted: 9/1/2006 5:10:39 PM
I think for me as it is summer I would have to bbq. I would do baby back ribs that I have had marinading for a day with my home made dry rub. Then slow cook it over charcoal for five hours. Once it has cooked for about 3 hours I would add some honey on it and wrap it in tin foil and cook like that for another hour on low heat on the bbq. It eventually comes back out of tin foil and on the bbq again and the last hour or so is still slow cooking it. During this whole process I am also adding Hickery chips to the coals to give it a nice smoke. Plus every half hour I am spraying it down with a Cider spray that has bourbon in it and other ingriedients. Then the last 20 minutes or so I add my own homemade bbq sauce. There is a picture of it on my profile. Go take a look.

With this I would make wild rice and bbq some zucinni, tomatoes and peppers. A little garlic bread is nice with some wine.

While I'm bbqing all of this I am making us home made daqaries in my Vitamix 5000.

Desert would consist of bbq'd pineapple.

If it was the fall it would be something else.

How do you tell someone you DON'T WANT to be friends?
Posted: 8/28/2006 12:39:36 AM
I was stalked by this woman over a year ago. It got so bad she was phoning my work and telling them that I had a grow-op in my house and that I was a pediphile and that I was harassing her daughter. She was even reading my mail and found out what my last name was and account numbers, etc. I called the cops on her about 3 times and went to the cop shop about 3 times and in the end the police said there was nothing they could do. They had even talked to her and told her to stay away from me. She use to stand across the street from my house and yell obsenities at me while I was in the house. The police said there was nothing I could do or them, untill the day comes along that she assualts me. Then they can do something. Sure, they told her to go away. But she would be back 2 days later. In the end the best thing I did was change my cell number and it cost me something like $30. I haven't heard from her since.

I have to go now as someone is at my door.

Hmm, Bologins is a referance named we used in the army. That is why I chose it for the internet. "Corpral Bologins this, Corpral Bologins that". I spent 8 and a half years in the PPCLI. For you people that don't know it, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.

I was at the John B. pub night last night and had a very good time. There was a much bigger party happening at the Newlands in Langley. But it doesn't matter of how many ppl are going it matters on the company. I think if we have a small group of ppl it would be more intimate and better for making friends. I'm looking forward to this event. But at the same time lets get the word out.

If you're single and not dating, what's your reason?
Posted: 8/11/2006 6:17:04 PM
Hmm, I think for me is that I'm not quite over my ex yet. Even though I broke the relationship off I still think of her and her 2 kids. Her husband died about 8 years ago and I came into the relationship about 7 years ago. At the time when he died they were split up and he actually died at his new girlfriend's house. At first like all relationships we just casually dated and I just saw her kids once in a while. They ended up moving in with me. Well now her oldest which is a boy is now 21 years old and the daughter is 17 years old. The duaghter 2 1/2 years ago said she looks at me like I am her dad. I do feel like her dad because I want her to do well in life. My ex's son and I had a rocky relationship in the beginning. He was 13 when his dad died and didn't want anything to do with me. Even when we all moved in together. Both of them stole alot of personal stuff of mine. But I have fogiven them both. I miss them both and I miss the relationship I use to have with their mom. The relationship I had with my ex was over before I moved out of the house. I was going to move out of the house the Christmas before but didn't because I stayed for the sake of the kids. But eventually it just didn't work out anymore. So I had to leave. Basically I still am emotionally attached to all 3 of them and need to get over that. At this time I probably would get upset if I saw them around the city somewhere although we don't live in the same city anymore but we are close.

These are the reasons I don't want to date at this time. Starting off as E-mail/Talk is my start to a new me. I am actually going to my first POF function this Saturday night. I'm looking forward to it. I think I have been on this site for 3 weeks now and found it has brought me out of my shell somewhat. This is a great site. Eventually I will start dating again. So plz be careful of hurting me. Look at my picture. Don't you think I am a vulnerable person (LOL).

Anyone want to share Favorite Patio & BBQ Recipes?
Posted: 8/11/2006 1:02:01 PM
When I make burgers I use my dad's home made recipe. Then I add blue cheese.

2lbs burger
one egg
package of onion soup mix
worcestershire sauce
some bread or cracker crumbs

I just eye the amount of ingredients I use.
After making the burgers which I make thinner than usual I will add a little piece of blue cheese in the centre of one patty and lay another patty on top and press the sides together.
You then cook it on low heat and the cheese melts in the middle and you have the flavour of blue chees in your burger. Plus the blue cheese makes the burger nice and moist.

Enjoy

Buying condoms
Posted: 8/11/2006 3:06:21 AM
I was on my way home and I phoned my room mate to let him know. He had some chick he had just picked up hitch hiking. He asked me to do him a big favour. He had asked me to stop at the store to get him some condoms. I said no. I was over a half hour drive from home and the 7-11 is only a 3 minute drive from our house. Was I wrong in saying no. I just feel if he really wanted them he could do the 3 minute drive instead of waiting for me. It was kind of inconveinent for me to stop. What do you guys think?

Do you find women legs to be sexy in stocking to sexy and why don't they wear them anymore?
Posted: 8/11/2006 2:00:21 AM
So very sexy. I love the way they look on women and the way they feel. I"m sure they must be uncomfortable for women to wear at times but women that do probably get alot of looks and attention.

Funny T shirts or Tattoos
Posted: 8/7/2006 11:45:14 PM
I was at a Country Fest in Dauphin Manitoba one year with my cousins. They had an amphatheatre there where all the performers were. Tim McGraw was playing. As we were walking up the steps to get to the beer gardens everyone was pointing at me and laughing. Women were yelling at me "what's for breakfast". I had a shirt on that said in big letters:

"BREAKFAST INCLUDED"

I loved that shirt. My girlfriend at the time ripped it up once she knew I wore it there.

Ok here is my input on this subject:

The book you need to get is "Beer-Can Chicken" by Steven Raichlen.

He has a bevy of bbq books. Here is his website to go check out. I am a member there too.

www.barbecuebible.com

You bbq people will simply love it.
