People - we are talking about ink here - are we not? Does the logo on your shirt define who you are? Does it need to have "meaning"? Your shoes - is Nike representative of your "class" or "morality"? Let's keep this in perspective (again) - state your preference for or against permanent advertising of whatever - beliefs, religion, motorcycle preference, people. But why insult and demean those who choose a different way of expressing themselves than the purse they carry or the car they drive? It's all relative. Personal choice is just that - personal. Amazing - but not surprising, that so many can get so hot about what another person chooses to do with their skin. And that some actually predetermine a person's intelligence or mentality by their chosen form of expression. I have 3 tattoos - not that any of you would ever see them. They were put there for me to enjoy and each has meaning. Was I going with the crowd when I got them? Nah - I was drastically changing my life after 23 years with someone who - not surprisingly, has a very slim view of what others should and shouldn't do. That is his choice - these comments are yours. Personally I find your closed minds much more definitive of your "mentality" (notice the quotation marks) than any ink I choose to put on my body. But hey (shrugs) that's MY opinon.

Ok - you really seem like a great group. I'm getting excited. I'm probably riding my bike over too (allllll the way over the bridge) but can't help anyone with rides to hotels since I'm just learning to keep MYSELF up. Think I'll pass on the grass skirt - that stuff hurts when it snaps you in the face! See you all next weekend.

I was "June Cleaver" for 23 years. Now I'm single and have three very "easily hidden" tattoos, and they all were carefully thought out. And guess what? I didn't get them for any of you!!!!!!!!!!!! I got them for Me!

I was married to a short haired man for 23 years. Now I'm finding out I really like long hair on men - there's a certain "personality" that goes with a man who will go against the mainstream and keep his locks long. It's intriguing to say the least.

Life begins, in my opinion, when you "choose" to be happy. It's amazing the pitfalls and obstacles you can sail through with that little bit of control. We go through stages - marriage, divorce, etc. No one age is better than others I'm thinking - until you change your thinking. I'm loving life - all the ups and downs. I can always change my mood - because I recognize it as a choice.

I'm very lucky to still have my natural red color at 49, and I always said I would keep it long until I think it looks ridiculous or becomes too much of a bother. But that's me - and I did ask several male friends what their opinion of long hair on older women was. Turns out those that had a preference for long hair actually like "feeling" it moreso than "looking" at it. Ladies I say if you feel good in your long hair - wear it. It's all about you and noone else in the end.
