Study all u want learn it all scales, modes, rythem, harmony, arppegios, triads, biads, lol.
Just always hear it in ur head first.Never just mindlessly practice.
I use to get up every mourning with a cup of tea, coffee or whatever and think that a hour
or two of scales as i watch T.V was all i needed.Turn the tube off concentrate on
hearing the note before u play it.Get use to analizing ur next move at all times.
Use a metronome this will make all the difference in ur playing later on how people will know the difference in your sincerity as a player.

phrygian
lydian
mixoydian

locrian
it's more important to know the #'s
1 major
2 minor7
3 minor
4 major7
5 dominant 7
6 minor or natural minor (try key of G major with natural minor being E minor play Gmj to Emin.]and solo over.or Gmaj to CMaj7th being 1chord[maj] to 4th Maj7th many songs are built this way.
7 minor flat 5
ie 1 3 5 your basic blues for starters.
so a blues jam in A
would be 1A 3D 5E7th chords.
or to build chords off any given key.
Nice way to jam is simply to play each chord in progression using
corrosponding scales.

Yes i remember Twins to be popular.I don't remember people
going for anything less then 100 watt amps.It was all about being huge
living large. My first amp was a Sunn 2 cabs it was bigger then me and i would
rest my beer on top of it and had to reach up to grab it.
Is funny when guy's started showing up with 30 watt Fender champs and
micing em threw the PA and sounding gr8.
Man looking back to late 70's early 80's what clueless youth we where.
lol.
at least me.anyway.

hm natural harmonics interesting topic
basslobster.com offers a good chart for that.
playing fretless bass i,m big into harmonics.
they are all over the neck ,listen to amazing grace on basslobster
then check out the chart and tab.
also look at the jaco vid /Potrait of tracy.
the same harmonics can be found on the guitar.
artificial harmonics different topic but just as interesting.

WE WAnt Miles is gr8 CD i know i have it.is hard to find
i found it in a cd shop in lower manhatten i paid 30 bucks for it.
i saw Miles with that band at fordham uni in the bronx
first row a lil to the left side of stage just a few feet from marcus miller.
i was also alway,s hanging out at 55 Grand bar on wed's night years ago where
Mike held court. But during those day's too stoned to have cared about the guitar rig.
I was freinds with him back in the day.lol. First time i met him was at the blue note
on bleeker street when he was playing with Jaco.Man those guy's where awesome friggin
Jaco would be drenched in sweat halfway into the first song and never let up
threwout the show.
he also used to play at a place on 17th street with Billy Cobham on drums and jaco sittin
occasionally.
But we where high catz in those day's and my memory is spotty.lol.

i was using a pod for awhile and now i think i am going to give it away.
for electric guitar playing i have been using the marshall and crybaby only.
i play alot using a ebow and for that i take the crybaby out of the loop
i find it screws up the resonance and sustain i get using the ebow.
man u can get some killer lows with that thing.
fun lil toy.
i have noticed digital effects sound better threw solid state amps.

Should the internet be allowed to be your true source for free speach?
free action?
I understand protecting children.though when is federal law correct?
Who should govern?
I am reffering to new laws protecting music.
many music sites that upload individuals renditions of artist's written music are now being threatened with jail time.

Use ur internet resourses while u still can.
alot of tab sites are closing down due to new laws threatening jail time.
personally i think it is a shame the internet was a lawless society only governed by those who use it.now it seems if u want to post ur own rendition of someone elses material be carefull.it kinda goes hand in hand with pop ups.online invading of ur personal space.

in the middle of January.Pretty weird.Anything is possible.
It is only when the last light goes out that u notice you are in the dark.
The tsunami was a natural act of movement of the earth.

I've heard it is better to take dry vitamin e[powder form]any truth to this?

So why not take a spoon of sesame oil or extra virgin olive oil?
less expensive.

u got certain people with
that druggie personalty and once
u become a star and u got the cash rollin in.
the end is near cause u got the means to get the potent stuff.
and is only that much quicker to ur demise.
kurt got so spaced and dope sick and the depression that goes with it.

. all depends on ur style of playing.
If u are strickly a lead guitarist then u can
use less watt,s but if u are big on rythem[spell check lol]
then more watt's.
I find diversity playing need's more watt's.
Marcel u say u play a tele ur a big fan of roy?
fender reverb amp's 10 watt's will kick ass for lead
then u mic it threw the pa.but u go play some nice chord changes
and u get mud.
I like to get a nice big full sound that is why i used many fender twins as opposed to
using smthing like a roland chourus or tech 60.[ss]
When i play acoustic there's not a tube to be found.
But i have never gotten a bad remark in fact people
have been more then nice.
I use a PA as my amp.and use the house PA or
my Mackie to
sing and carry some sound.
I like to play the Whole Guitar.Alot of open strings, travis pickin
i studied classical guitar.and i just find i get less problems without tubes for acoustic guitar
plus u add in the audience noise.so i use fishmen preamps.also i use wireless.

Aussie joke!
Posted: 1/10/2006 6:54:06 PM
In 1993, the American Government funded a study to see why the head of a man's penis was larger than the shaft. After one year and $180,000.00 they concluded that the reason the head was larger than the shaft was to give the man more pleasure during sex.

After the US published the study, the French decided to do their own study. After $250,000.00, and 3 years of research, they concluded that the reason was to give the woman more pleasure during sex.

Australian scientists, unsatisfied with these findings, conducted their own study. After 2 weeks and a cost of $74.95, they concluded that it was to keep a man's hand from flying off and hitting him in the forehead.
