just beat Seattle by 38 points ..yup. I see what you meen now. The Giants are definately overrated
They better be 4-0!! They have so far beat St. Louis, Seattle, Cincinatti, and an unpreparred Washington team. We'll see when they have to play someone good. The Giants are a very beatable team when their running game gets shut down, and the opposing offence are ready for there sometimes predictable blitz patterns. (ex. Carson Palmer) .... blah no point argueing , stick to Golf man.
The offence is fine, but I just think the defence rely on the blitz way too much. Good teams will expose that .... like Pittsburgh . lol

They have a stacked team .... a solid running game, They have 1 of the top 5, QB's in the league .... they won the superbowl ... what are they predicting injuries?
They should be playing better then they are. Washington and Cincinatti weren't very convincing wins.

Dick .... once again shut up, you're an idiot. Have you watched the Bills lately? They've come back from behind from Oakland AND St. Louis. They are coasting on an easy schedule.
Jacksonville's MVP is Scobee ... who is there kicker ... a 2-2 record who were favs for the division. OVERATED!
If you actually watched the Giants / Bengals game last week and know anything about how defensive plays work, you would have noticed that Carson Palmer was eating up the Giants blitzing and almost won the game.
The Giants won in overrtime!!
God you're such an idiot. Watch football, undertand how the game is played, then come back and start being a**** Dick

Are you kidding me RatherB ?? Who was actually stupid enough to say the giants will fall. I've heard and seen nothing but positive things said about this team

Yup 56 points looks like a losing franchise.
**** shutup. How many points have the Jets let up so far? Defence wins championships. The Jets suck, they aren't putting up those kinda numbers again. Our team has 5 super bowls, real fans, and an identity. The Jets have a dinosaur QB, a lousy defence, and no fans .... how many games back are they? 2. If the Jets don't do anything this year then they're doomed for years too come .... The Jets suck, period. Don't even compare them to a successful franchise like Pittsburgh.

I hate how people are overreacting on this situation. The Cowboys are fine, infact they are going to benifit from this situation. As a team they have learned from this and are gonna destroy Cinci on Sunday. Y'all will see.

Geez c'mon. Brett always finds a way too lose a playoff game.... if he can even make it there.
I respect Favre, but don't think for a second he's one of the greatest QB'S ever. Simply because of all those interceptions he's put up. If I were a Jets fan I'd be outraged that he's playing right now. The whole franchise has no future and never will.

I hope Chad Johnson gets traded to the Lions.
Ratherb c'mon man are u serious? The last position they need is another WR. The Lions have absolutely no identity. **** another WR how bout some protection so they can actually get the ball to recievers?? Or better yet how bout some defence?
The most overrated team I think is Denver. They have a good jump on the division right now but no thanks to their defence. There offence is clearly good, but last week they made too many mistakes. On both sides of the ball they are overrated I think.
Buffalo is overrated too I think. They haven't really had a dominating win since week 1. They squeeked by St. Louis and Oakland and beat another overated team in Jacksonville. The Bills play hard all 4 quarters which is why they're 4-0 ..... but still they don't quite have enough talent to get that ring.
I think the Giants are overrated too. They blitz way too often and it will come back to bite them. Good QB'S will make you pay for that like when Carson Palmer almost led them to victory.
Ya my Steelers are overrated. I'm not proud of that win at all. Even if we do win the division, half our starting offence will be beaten up. This schedule is just plain brutal..... at least the rest of the division has to go through almost the same bull....

What a mess in the AFC. Tennesse has the best D, Bills got the best special teams, and Denver has the best offence ... but no defence. I still like Pittsburgh out of the AFC. They the most balanced ... but that O Line has issues and Ben holds onto the rock too long.
Its too early though. Who knows maybe San Diego, Indy, and Jacksonville will turn things around...

Wizard you're a douche bag.
You obviously didn't watch the game because Matt Cassell did nothing spectacular. Yes he did manage the game well, (anyone can throw screens) but look at the sacks he had along the way. He had alot of help from his backs and a defence to keep him in there.
The Pats can't play conservative every game. That defence will get worn out like they did last year and Cassell will have to make big plays, which he can't. They've played 2 terrible teams, we'll see what happens when they play a REAL offensive team.
Cassell made plenty of mistakes, he didn't look good at all.... the rest of team just made him look good.

Either way whoever fights Forrest will take the belt from him. Forrest can't leg kick his way through every title defence.....Forrest is shit.
Machida is a ****, noone likes him. Thiago Silva would be more suited to at least make it an exciting fight.
Don't matter, Forrest shouldn't have even gotten that title fight. Fortunately for him he's better looking than Jardine so he gets picked first and Rogan rides his**** Whatever, UFC is shit now I hate Spike TV and those lame “ultimate” fighters.

You're absolutely right Dwayne! Its why I think Chuck is garbage and is falling behind in all this new talent.
Wtf!! V. Silva should get the title shot not Rashad! So what if he beat Chuck. Rashad hasn't beat Jardine yet, plus he hasn't even fought anyone good yet. I'm sick of Dana's biased decisions, thats a terrible match to make for the title.
Franklin did well but he's right, he needs to get a bit bigger to compete in that tough division. I think he's already better than most. Noone is really consistant in the light heavy weight... and we all know Rich Franklin is.

I can't believe Washington had absolutely NO hurry up offence. They have no excuses for it. They started training camp before everyone else as well as their pre-season.... which didn't even looked like they had. Zorn should get most the blame for this. Not having some sort of 2 minute drill is a complete joke. This team could have alot of problems unless they get their running game goin' as well

Whether New England keeps on winning or not, injuries can still occur. If any of Brady's OL hets hurt...he could be next. If I was a Pats fan I would seriously be worried about the Steelers who have stopped their streak once before.
Pittsburgh will be in Foxboro in shitty whether where the Steelers like to play. They are going to be more physical and no doubt they have a defence who are capable of containing them.
Since New Englands defence are showing signs of aging they may give up enough points where the Steelers defence could hold Brady and his cheap ass offence to a halt.
I don't care who beats the Pats I just wanna see some of their players get hurt. Plus if they do win the super bowl it will be much bigger than before because they didn't have to cheat this time. Nah, they're probly still finding a way to cheat, Belichick is an evil old man. **** the Pats.

UFC can not compare itself to boxing.
Posted:
11/5/2007 6:49:36 PM
How come this topic is STILL going on and why are boxing fans so ignorant.
Can't they accept the fact that the sport is dead and a new and more entertaining fighting league has emerged??
Who sells more PPV?? Who has broken the record for consecutive most watched PPV?? Who is on cable?? Who can name 3 boxers??
Spike TV is the reason why people don't take this sport seriously. People look at UFC and think its some kind of joke. UFC needs to be on a more serious network that covers other popular sports such as CBS, NBC, or even FOX.
People can't take UFC seriously when its on the same network as TNA and Manswers for crying out loud!!

After this embarassing loss I'm sure Shogun will make changes with his training. Perhaps get rid of whoever he was with and train with a better team. His endurance needs to get a hell of alot better because if he wants a title shot, he better show Dana that he can go 5 rounds with anybody.

New Orleans Saints
Posted:
9/20/2007 7:07:42 PM
Ah, nothing to worry about if you're a Saints fan.
The Saints are still in an easy division. Tampa Bay and Carolina aren't shaping out to be very consistant teams and will probly hit a slump at some time. Atlanta is just fin to go nowhere so what are you Saints fans crying about??
0-2 is obviously shit, but look at this game againts Tennessee on Monday. New Orleans should come out on top since their main weakness are their corners and Tennesse lacks good recievers. If they can just contain Vince Young, keep him off the field, and use BOTH their running backs WISELEY while controlling the clock....they got this one, and thats what I'm predicting. I good solid running game and clock management will keep Young off the field, they also need to make sure they exucute in the red zone. Field Goals won't beat the titans.
I'm not a Saints fan and will agree that last year they did indeed have an easy schedule in an easy division with a struggling Bucs and inconsistant Falcons and Panthers.
In conclusions, I wouldn't panic mainly because of the division they're in.

Unless nobody has seen Kongo's standup, I'm shocked people actually thought he would get mopped.
I thought for sure Kongo would knock him out first round. I meen you're taking Crocop who is a kickboxer, and Kongo who is a kickboxer/Muay Thai. Kongo's stand up has been flawless so far and he is getting better defensively fight by fight.
Crocop is a big name but just look at Kongo's standup...noone right now can exchange with this guy.

I kind of agree but again disagree.
See I think thats the beauty of it. You can't predict a winner because the competition is too stiff. I'm glad that all the best talent is colliding for the same ownership. Its what we've been waiting for for years.
Its not really a toss up when you analyze both fighters fighting style. Like with Kongo and Crocop, I knew Kongo would have the advantage simply because he's bigger, stronger, and knows Kickboxing AND Muay Thai. You knew Crocop would wanna strike with him and you know he's get out matched.
There is just the oddball fluke, I meen we should have known Matt Sera would be swinging for the fences looking to finish early, but I really wouldn't call it a coin toss because whoever has a better mental game along with skill and conditioning usually always comes out on top. Therefore proves who the better fighter is.
Its great how the competition is so stiff right now, top fighters aren't getting any push over matches ANYMORE!! HAHAHA

I'd watch out for this Houston Alexander. This guy fights with intensity and looks to finish fights quickly. We don't know what he has on the ground but taking him down might be too difficult as it is.
For now it is all about Rampage and time has passed since his lossed against Silva and Shogun. I think now he won't be considered and underdog anymore to most Pride FC fans against those two opponents.
We also need to point out that Rampage definetaly has the endurance to go 5 rounds no problem with anybody. Seeing him defend Dan Hendersons takedowns was really impressive and didn't even take much out of him. He really is going to be tough to beat and its great to finally see him get the belt that he deserves.

LMAO!! Well he's deaf!! He doesn't exactly know what he's coming down too. lol.
Bisping is an ***hole!! Being all smug about his win saying he out boxed him. That**** British panzy deserves an ass whoopin'!! I say forget about Hamill and start feeding him to the dogs!!
Bisping doesn't stand a chance in that division. He needs to drop into the middleweight and even there he won't stand a chance with that division improving as well.
Anderson Silva, Rich Franklin, Goulet, Macdonald, Terry Martin, Kampman, and Okami would all destroy Bisping no problem.
I use to think he was a great fighter, but after his performance and the way he acted after the fight....totally lost respect for him.

As soon as the match was announced that he was gonna fight Kongo...I'd knew he's lose. The only way of defeating Cheick Kongo is on the ground because Kongo is a K-1 fighter so he has no ground game. Of course now he has learned his lesson and can now defend plus he showed he can also ground and pound.
Crocop isn't done yet I'm sure. He just fought two really impressive fighters. I think if he was to fight Gonzaga again he would definately come out victorious.
Its tough to see him lose those matches because we all want to see him fight Coutour. It most likely won't happen because Coutour doubtfully will have the belt that long.

I can't wait until the classic showdown. Colts Vs. Patroits again in AFC final.
We'll see how healthy both teams can stay, but ya can't count out Steelers, Chargers or maybe even the Ravens to challenge that conferance. Its gonna be an exciting year for the AFC.

Bisping Vs. Hamill

That fight was Bullshit!!
Hamill had complete octogon control the entire fight. I would have gave Hamil all three rounds as well. It really surprised me how well he did I couldn't believe how aggressive he was.
Even though I was routing for Bisping, I was disappointed with the results. Bisping did not deserve to win that fight he looked terrible.
Matt Hamill should not feel like a loser after that night and I'm sure Dana White told him that. He fought a good fight and for whoever is next against him...better watch out.
Bisping on the other hand stands no chance against these top light-heavy weights. He needs to go into the 185 division where his size can make a difference.

RAMPAGE RAMPAGE RAMPAGE

All Lidell can do is counter punch and defend take downs. All he does is throw bombs as well. Coutour has been his only real stiff competition. Tito is just a wrestler so Chuck obviously has an advantage with him.
Lidell is an overated chump who isn't well rounded enough to match up against these newcomers such as Rampage, Henderson, Silva, and Shogun.
Now onto a REAL Fighter, Rampage looks better than ever. Coach Riley has done alot with his game and it shows. I was surprised to see Henderson gased midway through the fight. He was heavily breathing out his mouth from the 3rd round on. Henderson might choose to now drop some weight and enter in as a 185 fighter. Randy Coutour even stated that he is much better suited as a middleweight where he can easily dominate that division.
Rampage much feel happy about his win but now he's got a couple of fierce competitors, thats already beaten him, to look forward to. Shogun and/or Silva are gonna be extremely tough fights for him. I hope to see Ramage succeed but Silva and Shogun are just to damn good.
I hope to see Liddel loose to Jardine because I don't even wanna see him fight Silva...because he isn't worthy enough plus he will get embarassed. Lideel IS A CHUMP and he proved to be, getting embarassed in the first round.

"14-2 and you think i'm high"
Why Not?? They are clearly the best team in the league and they just got better with Moss and that dude from Miami. (can't remember his name, starts with a W. lol)
Plus being in that shitty division they won't have a problem. I know I'm being very generous but CLEARLY they have the best shot because of all that talent they have and just added.

...One more thing. I hate how much credit people give the saints. Everyone knows Saints got no pass defence and they turn the ball over too much. Indy like to make big plays downfield and thats what the Saints are terrible at.
I really hope the saints choke game after game so people will stop yapping about them. I admit they do have some weapons but they're notorious for choking in alot of situations.

Saints lose tomorrow....
The Steelers have an easy schedule. Mike Tomlin is going to be praised in Pittsburgh when he gets his team to the playoffs.
Thats a good pick saying Leftwich could end up on the Ravens. It will determine if Mcnair does enough on offence. I'm sure he'll be fine now that he actually has some running support with Mcgahee and Anderson on carries.
Week one is exciting!! Very tough picks and its hard to pick a guaranteed win on any of these games. This is going to be the most competitive season ever.
I expect to see alot more from the NFC West, it should no longer be classified as a easy division.
Saying the Pats won't make the playoffs is ridiculous. The Jets are they're only threat in that division and in my opinion they got really lucky last year and I doubt they will do as well this year. However, alot of people I know are picking the Jets this week simply because they're at home and Manjini knows Belichick's schemes quite well :)
Even if the Pats do finish 10-6....like the Jets, Bills or Dolphins can top that. Guaranteed division winners there. I'm not a Patroits fan but as an NFL fan I will predict the Pats will go 14-2.
