Has your taste in men/women changed?
Posted: 5/23/2006 11:54:01 AM
I'm still attracted to the ladies that I just can't seem to keep my hands off of. That is after I get to know them of course. Would rather have a hot 40yo lady in bed then a 20yo. That took me a little while to figure out. Ladies in their upper 30s and 40 know what they want and how to get it. Sometimes even to a point of being agressive in and out of bed. I'm up for that...........

Sexual peak issues for women
Posted: 5/23/2006 10:59:55 AM
"I don't want to be celibate for a year when my body is screaming for sex, just because I don't happen to be in a long term relationship at the time. Shouldn't we have a right to enjoy our sexual peak as much as the guys?"

I thought that was what F.... Buddies were for! Believe me when I tell you that having sex with ladies in their upper 30's and 40's is the absolute best. They know what they want and how to get there.............. I'll take a well trained 40 yo over a 20yo anyday !

Go for GF !

New BBQ!
Posted: 5/23/2006 10:54:58 AM
I found the recipe for Beer Can Turkey on the Grill............... Yummy !

Found this recipe on Lone Star Site...........any other hints or suggestions?

Beer Can Turkey (Lone Star Turkey Recipe)

I tried this last Thanksgiving and it turned out to be a big hit. Everyone loved the Lonestar themed Thanksgiving.
Lone Star Turkey
Serves 10
Ingredients:
1 - 16 oz can of Lone Star Beer
1- beer can chicken holder
1- small turkey (8-12 lbs)
5 - Bay leaves (crumpled)
2 1/2 - tsp. of dried thyme
2- Cloves garlic
½ - Cup onion
Any of your favorite spices!
Wood chips
Glaze:
Combine
2 - Tbs. brown sugar
2 - Tbs. ketchup
2 - Tbs. distilled white vinegar
2 - Tbs. Lone Star beer
2 - tsp. hot sauce
Cooking Instructions:
Soak the wood chips in water
Remove the top of the Lone Star can using a household can opener.
Set aside 2 Tbs of Lone Star beer to use later for the glaze.
Discard about 1/3 of beer from can; only 12 oz of beer is needed for turkey.
Place crumpled bay leaves and dried thyme into the Lone Star Beer. You can also add any of your favorite spices for an original taste.
Place the can in the holder and lower the turkey onto the can (the holder will keep the turkey upright during cooking).
Place the turkey and can on the grill over low heat (If using a gas grill, position the turkey over one burner, away from the other burners. Turn the burner under the turkey off and turn the other burners on low.).
Make a container with aluminum foil (or use a metal wood chip tray) and fill it with the wood chips that were soaking in water.
Place the container over the other burner or on the hot coals.
Close the lid of the grill.
When the thigh meat reaches 160°F apply glaze.
Wait a few minutes and then brush on another coat of the glaze.
Cook until the thigh meat registers 170°F or until juices run clear.

I've posted and I know that others have as well about Beer Can Chicken. Last Turkey Day I did a turkey the same way and it was the best I've ever had............ I ended up using a Foster's Aussie Beer Can since it was larger.

Give it a try you won't regret it !

Corned Beef Apple & Brown Sugar Recipe (Crook Pot)
Posted: 4/3/2006 8:21:15 PM
Here is another plus to the recipe that I posted. The sauce that is generated should not be thrown away. Skim off the fat and save it. I've scoped out several cups and heated them just a bit and used them while doing the BBQ. Brushed several times will doing white fish and bbq chicken..........yummy ! Don't pitch it..........use it is what I say !

Corned Beef Apple & Brown Sugar Recipe (Crook Pot)
Posted: 3/21/2006 7:52:02 AM
I know that it's past St Patty's Day. But....just in case you didn't get enough Corn Beef or had a terrible meal like I did at my local restaurant on Friday here is a Recipe that is outstanding. Corn Beef is still available at Schnucks and Dierbergs. In fact, the brisket that I used was not the high end to make this. I used a 3 lb Brisket. I have a smaller crook pot. You will note that the recipe doesn't indicate. Also be sure to carefully trim all that nasty fat off the outside first.

Crock pot Apple And Brown Sugar Corned Beef Recipe (Crook Pot)

1 corned beef brisket
1 quart apple juice
1 cup brown sugar
1 Tbsp prepared mustard
8 small red potatoes
2 medium carrots, pared and cut into chunks (my girls love carrot's so I added more)
1 medium onion, peeled and cut into eights
1/2 head cabbage, cut into chunks

Place all ingredients in large crock pot (cut meat in half if necessary). Stir to mix.

Cook on high for 4 to 5 hours on high or 8 to 10 hours on low. (mine cooked in 8 hours) Remove meat and vegetables and some of the cooking liquid. Slice meat thinly across the grain. Serve with the vegetables and some of the liquid.

Use left over corn beef the next day.....layer in crock pot with sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. Warm and serve on rye bread with 1000 Island dressing!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Notes: I believe that the Apple Juice helps to cut the fat. That with the cup of Brown Sugar you get a sweet taste. I also added the seasoning packet that came with the Brisket.

Date from hell.
Posted: 1/31/2006 8:54:02 AM
Don't be putting down us older guys. We still remember how to treat a lady like a lady. I've dated my share of younger ladies. Tired of training them ! Give me a lady in her 40's and you leave the games at home. You both know what you want. Been there and done that in the past and you don't have all the head games! This poor girl just broke all the dating rules by not driving herself and agreeing to a long dinner date on the first meeting !

Date from hell.
Posted: 1/31/2006 8:44:27 AM
Well said bucsgirl ! Everyone knows you drive yourself to the first meeting. Why would you want any strange guy or girl to know where you live right off the bat. Hell, I don't tell anything other then my cell and as much as the other person wants to meet. I'm a very open person but we've all been there and the picture doesn't match or the other person is simply lying in their personal. I don't even ask questions like give me your address, home phone (easy to find address with home phone BTW).

Sorry you had a bad date but now you know next time. DRIVE YOURSELF ! As a rule I never do a first meeting for dinner. If the other person drinks then it's drinks or coffee. Remember it's the first meeting not a date. If you like the other person then you do dinner, sex in the car (joke here), etc. By agreeing to a drink or coffee and you see things going down hill excuse yourself politely and drive home or ..........

Just my 2 cents...........

How long do you wait for a date before you split?
Posted: 1/31/2006 8:00:40 AM
I always try to pick a place that is fun but quiet so you can talk. Now days everyone has a cell so I have to agree with it's rude not to call. I always get there early so my date isn't walking into a place unattended. If one is late and they don't call I will most likely order another drink and give it a little time. Afterall, the first meeting took some time to put together. Most likely you met and exchanged a few e-mails and spoke on the phone. You have time invested why blow all that away because a person is a few minutes late!

Just my 2 cents.

Ok....your going to read this and think there is no way I'm eating at Curt's house. But I was curious to find out:

How many people let their dogs lick the dinner plates?

They say a dogs mouth is cleaner than a humans. I do have a cute story to go along with this though. I had a neighbor that always seemed to show up around dinner time. You know the type. The kids only eat Mac and Cheese, Hot Dogs and the occasional pizza. The only good meals she had were the ones from my house. I cook everynight for my small girls.

Anyway, it was getting a little annoying so after one meal I put a plate down for the dog to clean off. Then made sure she noticed me pick it up and put it back in the cabinet as if were clean. Needless to say that pretty much stopped the drop in's!

Have a great day !

Are men really more interested in sex?
Posted: 12/14/2005 8:12:53 AM
Women only are open about it when in groups of women. I run with a group of ladies from time to time. Big brother type of thing I guess. I hear some pretty good stuff. Guys will come out and say their horny or want to ........... Ladies think it but won't say it because it's not lady like. Then once you get to know them.............it's all different ! Are guys more horny........you betcha !

Why do women say they're ......

I have to agree with all the post here. It's a matter of how your see yourself. I honestly believe that everyone should post a picture just to be fair. Or be able to e-mail one immediately. Guys and girls as a matter of fact are lazy. We all already know that no one reads profiles anymore. Chances are if you don't have picture posted you'll get passed over and you could be a great lady! And people remember a picture adds 20lbs......or is it a camera....or the 2 pizzas you had for dinner.........I can't keep that straight.

I will say this.....just remember,"THIS IS SOMEONE FOR EVERYONE IN LIFE " ! Big or small your match is out there. It's just a matter of finding them.

I've made a few..........made copies for the young lady and put mine away for when I'm 100 yo and trying to remember was sex was all about. Maybe they will let me show them as saturday night entertainment in the nursing home.

If your question is related to should you show your card playing buddies..........don't ! Just keep it to yourself and it doesn't show any class to broadcast.

Ladies get your facts straight.........
Posted: 12/10/2005 8:10:35 AM
I think that this site is mostly about the Forums anyway. But then again many of the others (pay sites) people are there just in it for the ego. You know what I mean. All excited to receive a couple e-mails from interested people that you never are going to meet anyway.

How many times have you been exchanging e-mails and finally when it comes down to meeting the person is gone. I honestly think that people aren't serious about meeting anymore and it's all just turned into a big game. Then if you do meet someone you can't figure out who the person is because the picture that was posted was 5 years old and their hair color has changed 5 times and oh yea they forgot to mention the extra 20 lbs they put on.

I have noticed that some of the ladies on here do mention that they are only here for the forums. At least that is being honest.

If your in it for the excitement of seeing how many people hit on you every morning your wasting everyones time.

Mike don't get discouraged out there man. Just look at it as you could be meeting all the wrong ladies if every girl in your area was to contact you. The right girl is out there. If not borrow some kids and go to the store............works for me with my cute girls.

Oh yea...........one more thing ! Get a recent pic and post that puppy. People are lazy on the personals. Most won't read a profile and only look at the pic. No pic.............no response. Same holds true for you ladies. Soon or later your going to have to let us guys in on what you look like. I for one will only exchange a max of 3 e-mails with someone without a pic. Hey, it's only fair don't you think. You may have a personal reason for not having your picture on your profile but there is no excuse for not having a picture that you can e-mail.

Everyone have fun and don't get down over the holidays if your single without anyone special in your life at this time. It does get better and when you least expect it...........bang.....you meet that special person.

I need breakup advise!
Posted: 12/2/2005 7:50:08 AM
Christie...........it appears that your getting many mixed views here. The first thing that I hear is your still in love with your X. That can be a good thing but most likely not so. Everyone always thinks that they can get back with their X. Even people in abusive relationships want to.......they remember the good and forget all about the bad times. I haven't viewed your profile but it appears that your very young. You have your entire life ahead of you. A ton of great times and experiences are waiting for you. If you were sitting with me right now I would tell you exactly what Carissima advised above. It's all about showing class and being straight with this person. My guess since your hung up on the X your going to have many relationships like this one until the right guy comes along and makes you forget the X or the X hooks up with another lady. Which will rip you apart so be ready for that....but that's another segment in your life. Be strong and don't string this poor guy along.

For the guy that went on the trip with the lady I feel sorry for you. I don't actually agree with the thinking with your gut. I tend to believe that thinking with your heart is better. My question for you is...... Do you think if you paid for her ticket that she would've dumped you on the trip? Myself I would've made sure that we had separate rooms and set out to find someone in Mexico to enjoy the rest of my trip with.............

Happy Dating everyone...............

WHAT DO I DO!?!?!?!
Posted: 11/25/2005 2:26:52 PM
I think that your getting sound advise here. I just know that if I went 10 years paying for someone else's kid I don't think that I would be a happy camper. I guarantee that I would make her pay every cent plus interest and Attorney Fees and court cost and she would pay ! On the other side of the coin............finding out that I have a 14 or so child and it being kept a secret would most likely be just as bad.

Your friend (can I use this term) is a piece of dirt. There is a remote possiblilty that she could just be saying this to make you feel better. Or maybe she is just the complaining type.

In my honest opinion, I would reflect your feeling about the situation. Tell her if what she is saying is true she owes it everyone to take the necessary test to see who the child belongs too. I would express just how unhappy it makes you to know the guys and also know what she is saying. You might think about it this way too. Maybe she just doesn't have the guts to open the can of worms. By her telling you she is searching for the strength to do just that.

Don't keep it or secret even if it means loosing her as a friend. She probably isn't much of a friend anyway !

I wish you luck...............

Advice to single female parents - Pedophiles
Posted: 11/25/2005 1:57:30 PM
I disagree with your post. I think you should mention that you have children. You don't have to include pictures and ages as mentioned in another post. I think if anyone follows the normal guidelines for dating you'll be safe. Afterall, your not going to meet some guy in a place where there aren't other people for the first few meetings. Your not going to tell him (this can go for guys too).......where you live. Your not going to provide your home phone number. In fact, keep your last name a mystery as well for a little while. Then if you trust the person you might show a pic or two. Lying about not having kids on your profile is like saying your thin and weighing 200 lbs. Guys may look stupid from time to time but were not dumb ! If you didn't mention kids and we met and I found out later most likely I would stop seeing you for the plan fact that I would wonder what else you lied about.........and you having kids would be a concern to me since I have 2 as well.

Just a note too......... I'm extremely picky about who meets my girls. I've dated several ladies that never even met them and some I wish didn't.

Child support Question.....
Posted: 11/25/2005 1:06:49 PM
I'm in the US and in my State you can have your support payments paid to the state office and then they forward the checks. It slows the process down a little bit but in the event payments aren't made you simply make a call and they pick the party up!

Wait until after the holidays. Just remember to pick your battles. What is it that you really want............him to see your child..........or more money. If he was a good father he would want to see his child. I don't know the entire situation but he sounds very young.

I wish you good luck.

Does anyone else find this extreme?
Posted: 11/25/2005 1:00:11 PM
Sorry but I didn't take the time to read where your from but in my city the kids are now assigned their own Attorney.....GAL ! I would think that a quick phone call to make him or her aware of the situation is good. What he is going is totally wrong and she will grow up hating him for it. My girls are great eaters.....and they are my test rats for new recipes because I love to cook. Their mother is on a health kick. You know the kind where everything taste like cardboard. What I told my girls to start doing is everytime they go over there to start boasting about how great the cooking was at my house. To tell her what you had, etc. Understand we are pretty health aware here as well. No bacon, sausage, or heavy fat meals. When the girls started to tell their mother about the meals she got very competitive with me....... So she started to back off a little with the cardboard food!

I wish you good luck. Just remember you have to pick your battles with your X. I find now days after several years of her messing up all the time, that kindness is more effective then yelling at each other. When your kind the opposite party is always wondering what your up to!

It's great that your taking time out for your son, I have 2 young daughters and did the same in the beginning.............however I have to agree with your boss. i have a secret
Posted: 11/25/2005 12:16:22 PM
Congrads on the weigh lose and shooting for 40 more. I did a diet years ago that was successful for me..........

I ate a light breakfast. Generally ate what I wanted for lunch within reason. When I got home from work I would ride my bike for at least 30 miles. Yes, the pedalling type. Then a bowl of pasta and a salad for dinner. I was single (single again now) so I would head to the local pub and drink all the Bud Light that I wanted. I think now days they call that a protein diet !

Seriously, if you get on a walking routine and try to walk everyday you can still enjoy a piece of choc without freaking out. Treat it as a reward. The more you walk the larger the portion.

Good luck in achieving your goal !

You would be surprised when offered to your single friends that don't cook or the older couple that had ham because a 12 pound turkey would go to waste will take you up on your offer for some leftover turkey, dressing, etc.

I find that most people now days don't take the time to cook anymore regardless if it is Turkey Day or not.

What's happening in good ole America?
Posted: 11/25/2005 11:12:39 AM
I know that a good percentage of the members on this site are from Canada. This is directed more to the US Members but you Canadians might enjoy the read.

After Holiday Cheer!

I hope you all had a good Turkey Day and had a great time with your family. I was fortunate to spend mine with my girls. I did my best to stay away from the computer but that only caused me to spend time thinking about what next year is going to bring all the business people (small and large) of this great country of ours. Many of you most likely are seeing the signs of change in your companies. Employee's are leaving or being let go. Are they replaced.........no! Most companies are using this as an opportunity to cut back. How many of you have been given the extra duties of the employee's that left? How many of you received handsome raises because you’re taking on the extra duties? This is not to make you feel bad if I stepped on anyone's toes. I exchange e-mails with individuals all over the country. Believe me when I tell you that this is happening everywhere.

Were you aware that The Big Box Store Walmart is changing this years greeting from Merry Christmas to Happy Holiday's. For a good laugh take on the Walmart story go to http://www.jibjab.com and click on the Big Box Store. We all are aware that the schools have moved away from the Christmas programs to Holiday Programs for the kids. Call me old fashion but what's with that? I liked when First Graders sang Silent Night. My girls and I enjoyed the Polar Express DVD last evening. It kind of brought a glow to my heart with all the reference to Christmas and Santa! Hey you may laugh at me but Santa may be collecting food stamps and standing in the unemployment line if it's up to a few individuals in this fine country of ours. It's just not American! Did you know that there is a proposed Bill to remove all reference to God.....? All your currency is going to change..........why? And they’re taking down the 10 Commandments from State and Federal Buildings. Because of a few out spoken individuals.

We've all heard about outsourcing. It used to be when a large company wanted to cut cost the big guys would move factories to the southern states. The small towns where $8.00 - $10.00 per hour was a good wage for them. Now instead of keeping these factories running the CEO's are pulling a large 7-figure bonus. And we're not talking one from a company...we are talking several. Just think if one or all of them were to cut back for just one year, these factories that employ hundreds could stay open. Take a look at some of your tags or product labels lately. When was the last time you saw Made In America? That used to be a saying of prestige!

I feel sorry for the Doctor's of today. In a world of lawsuit happy people would you want to be one? Make one small mistake and you’re in court for millions. Does anyone besides me remember when a Hostess Cupcake was just 12 cents? Or how about those big Snicker bars for 5 cents.....98 cents now! What the heck happened there? I mean ....has product cost for the few ingredients used to make a cupcake increased that much. No, it's called product liability, etc. We all know that we won't see a 12-cent cupcake again. How about the oil companies? Did you all notice the cost of a gallon of gas went down $1.00 ($1.87 in my area) over the weekend from a month ago. Now what do you think caused this? The oil companies reported major profits even during the hurricane issues! If that isn't a crock of balony! You probably read some of them got called on the carpet.....thus the drop in gas prices. Now I know some of you are going to comment with some reason why the gas prices have dropped. Sorry but I won't believe any of it. They have been robbing us for years. I just loved the Bush statement about opening up the reserves. Come on people...........Bush is so connected to the oil industry that there is no way that anything that will effect him financially will ever happen. Maybe we can get the same guys that called the oil companies on the carpet to get our 12-cent cupcakes back.

If you have an opinion about what I stated in this lengthy post let me know here. If you think that I'm full of dog-poo, there is no need to let me know that. If any of this hit home, talk about it the next time your at a party or sitting at a bar with a drink in your hand. People tend to listen a little more when they've had a couple. I think that it's about time that the 85 percent of the Americans that still believe in old time morals and Santa stand up and be united. I like saying Merry Christmas.... I’ve said it for as long as I can remember. Let's not let a handful of individuals change your lives. If they are successful in removing all reference to God that's not going to stop me from being a spiritual person. And believe me it's not going to stop there! If I live long enough and fortunate to have grandchildren I will one day sit on the floor and tell them about the good old days in America The Beautiful when people cared and stood up to tell everyone how they felt before it went down hill. I guarantee the Big Guy or Girl depending on how you look at it is testing us now. Let's now let him/her down.

In closing, hug your kids regardless of how big they are and tell them you love them. With all the crazy things happening today in our country, it might be the last time you see them. Wear a smile and try to not let the little stuff bother you. There is always someone out there in worse shape that would gladly trade with you in a heartbeat. Take the time and dance.......even if there is no music. It will warm your sole and get the pumper working for a few minutes. Who knows it might push that clot downstream and prevent the big one from happening!

Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, In God We Trust, God Bless America!

the family bird

Turkey Day 2005

I just started a thread on doing my bird this year using the same recipe as Beer Can Chicken. Just my two small girls and myself so only 8 lb bird. I posted a recipe on my thread in the Recipe and Cooking Area. If anyone has attempted this or has suggestions to make it even better please advise. I've done a bunch of chickens this way and they always turn out super moist and very yummy. I generally put the bird when it's cooked of course on a platter and my girls and I just pick on it until it's bare bones. I guess since it's the holiday we will use forks this time.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

Beer Can Turkey
Posted: 11/23/2005 12:19:18 PM
I think I'm going to do mine this year on the grill. One recipe that I saw was to use a 32 oz can of fosters for the bird. Mine this year is just an 8 lb guy. Just myself and my two small girls. Enough for a few meals before they go to their mom's for the week. I also read to cook about 12 1/2 minutes per lb but will only use that as a guage and stick the meat therm. in to make sure fully one. Cooking on Gas Grill over indirect heat. Making my own rub which is a variation of one I believe DallasGuy posted in the bbq turkey thread.

Any comments or suggestions.

Class action against Yahoo Personals and Match.com for fraud
Posted: 11/22/2005 11:05:14 AM
I've been a member on both at different times. Member on Yahoo now and not Match. Of course the same people are on both. Their not the only ones sending out fake winks and e-mails. I like the ones that your not a member on and they send you an e-mail but not let you view the e-mail or the person ! I wonder if we can get our membership fees back from both of them?

Happy Hunting

Cant Americans speak gooder English on this sight?
Posted: 11/14/2005 3:19:47 PM
Ouch..........what are you trying to do here. Draw a line between the US and Canada. I can't believe that the Admin's allowed this a hole to make this type of comment. I believe based on the time that I've been on this site it goes both ways. Who really cares anyway. Why don't we filter all of our e-mails through you to do a grammer and spell check and then you can forward them on for delivery.

Get a life..........or shall I say a job and leave us fun loving Americans alone.

Gentlehand, thanks for the tips. I was not aware of the "Rules Rules" when it comes to eating Sushi. My girls started eating Sushi at at 3 and 4. Not the stuff with training wheels (California Rolls, etc.) as we call it.

Good girls drink for those that don't normally drink tuni's. Same kick though so be careful !
