WHY DON'T MEN TAKE THE FIRST STEP ANYMORE???
Posted: 7/14/2007 2:52:19 PM

they do not think ahead of after the first contact email and if "Said" woman does reply he is not prepared to continue a conversation let alone a date/meeting.

I think you are right, rowdycowboy. I get many emails and I respond in kind and then the communication ends!

It is good to know that there is at least one rational person left north of the border.

*tyme gypsy--Thank you for the compliment. I haven't visited this thread in so long.
It's hard to believe that it's been almost two years since I started this thread and I still feel the same.

I would boldly suggest that if you think "clinton II' is such a great idea that you invite her to run YOUR nation into the ground.

With another election looming, it will be interesting to see which one in the line of up candidates (particularly Democrat) will follow when Bush leaves the most powerful office on the planet.

GOD BLESS CANADA and AMERICA and Happy Birthday to both our countries!!!

This Forum is a testament to The FREEDOM of SPEECH we all enjoy.
Thanks to all of you for your comments and to those who have visited.
I thought my thread had died shortly after I posted my sentiments on
the London Tragedy. What a difference 5 years makes. Having travelled
extensively in the UK and in the US, I came to reflect on what I admired
about those lands and their peoples. Although our governing bodies leave
much to be desired, we can speak out and voice our discontent.

When we can, it is right to give praise where it is due. We Canadians should
be very proud of our Country and not be afraid to show it.

There's a minor time delay for new posters. Usually, by their 8th or 9th post, things start showing on the profile.

I have 12 posts and recently only the last two appear. Whatsup with that?

Do you trust feelings?
Posted: 7/8/2005 11:13:01 PM
When you get to the know the essence of another person,
there shouldn't be anything to interfere with a seemingly
mutually shared, profound relationship.
But It takes two. I've found that out that Men can be as
fickle as women and sometimes even more so.

To conclude and answer your question Taurus: I can't trust my feelings.
I have read a book about Learning to "Trust Myself." I can trust myself in
anything but Love. Thanks for letting me see that I am not alone in my
thinking.

Cheers,

I woke up to devastating news of terrorist bombings in the London transit
system. I remembered my three weeks there in the summer of 2000. I felt so
safe travelling alone, for six weeks, all over the UK by train, bus and the London underground system; where everything is so orderly and very punctual.

So safe that the police didn't carry guns. Where I was staying in Nottinghill,
there were two armed guards posted in front of the building across the road
from my room; sometimes a police car on the corner; right outside my window.
I had a strong sense of security, but found out on the day I left, that the Minister
for Northern Ireland resided in that place across the way.

The English had already dealt with IRA terrorists over the years. Since 9/11,
it seems that no peaceful land can feel an immunity to the evil and hatred that
lurks in the souls of those who ressemble us only in superficial, physical ways.

No other country displays its belief in Freedom as much as America. The
4th of July is a 233 year tradition of celebrating Liberty and Justice for all. For
that, I as a Canadian applaud your shining example to the rest of the World.
God Bless America and the rest of humanity.

Cheers,

None could have said it better than you did, Familyman.
Because it is so rare, that special Forever bond is what
makes the journey of life worthwhile.
