The problem I'm experiencing is I login and read my mail and when I type a reply it isn't sent. My message comes up on another window and tells me to save it and I get a log-in box too! It acts like I'm not logged in. It' s getting very frustrating trying to communicate with other fish members. Last night it even told me the person I was trying to send a message to was not accepting messages from anyone as far away as I am. I found out that wasn't correct because I talked to him on IM a few minutes later. Sometimes a message goes thru and sometimes it doesn't. I've cleared cookies and all the other things you have advised on this forum but no luck yet!
Would appreciate any help you can give!

Thanks Betty Jo for volunteering to help us! We had a great time at the hog roast last night!
It was great out on the patio and the food was terrific!
I will let you know more details about what I need you to do prior to the 22nd. I think you will enjoy it as I really did during our first event. It's nice to get to meet all the Pofer's as they arrive. Thanks again for your help! See you on the 22nd and be ready to have a good time!

I can't wait for this one! I've been a Buckeye fan from the cradle! I met Woody one day
when I was about 9 years old and I was quite the tomboy in those days! I was thrilled!
Still have the autograph he gave me that day! He talked to me for about 45 minutes......it's
one of my favorite childhood memories!
The buffet and hog roast sound delicious......sounds like the club is going all out!!!!!
Guess I'll have to go off my diet for this one!
Like the lovely LancasterLady says come find us! If you came alone and need someone to sit with I obviously can't dance much yet still being in my wheelchair and I love to make new Pofer friends!!!!! See you there!
Go Bucks!
I love you guys! O.......H.......

Casie and any others who were disappointed:
I am sorry you did not have a good time at Sundance! Casie, I think you must of left before we closed down the sign-in table outside because I did not see you once I came inside. I would of definitely talked to you! Lilac Rose - you were a very nice and sweet person and I enjoyed meeting you!
I remember the drunk outside at the table and that was the only "bad" thing I experienced all night. Maybe I didn't handle him in a way you felt was appropriate, but you know anywhere alcohol is served you are going to run into intoxicated people now and then. He was the only intoxicated person I ran into all night and I was there until 2am. He was not a pofer and I felt it was just best to let him sign the book and say whatever he was babbling.
He left right after that and I didn't see him again. I guess he thought he should sign out! LOL
Anyway, life has taught me not to argue with people who are intoxicated......it's never helpful to any situation I've ever seen.
I talked to all the POFers I came in contact with and all of them assured me they were having a good time! I didn't hear one negative comment. I was impressed at how nice Pofer people are! All the fellows I checked in at the door were either very friendly and nice or even flirty which always makes a woman feel good!
Casie. please know I am not trying to judge you or not let you have your opinion. I'm just trying to share with you my experience because if I am reading between the lines correctly I see alot of myself in you. I'm trying to give you a little friendly - sisterly - woman to woman advice - that you may not appreciate, but I really am trying to help in a loving way,
at least that is my intention - hope you will take it that way!!!!
I had a great time myself! Not bad for a 47 year old fat woman in a wheelchair! I got kissed 5 times! Once by my new pofer friend before he headed home, once on the forehead by a young good looking kid who was not a pofer but out looking to find beautiful young girls ( I know you all remember those days - when we were young)! And once by pofer DJ Amish on the cheek - thanks sweetie- I thought you were having a good time?.....that girl you came with sure looked pretty! By the way the badges were so you could get in free and so other Pofers would recognize you as one of them and hopefully help people break the ice!
I did personally see Ronnie and Barb talking to people and dancing with them. Barb talked a lot with one nice pofer gentleman who did not dance all night so I'm assuming he is not a dancer. He thanked us in here for us helping him have a great time.
From my table outside I saw Ronnie on the patio several times talking to pofers and I saw groups of 2 to 4 people on the patio that came in alone who were sitting and talking together! That was kind of the pofer meet and greet area - maybe you didn't make it there! I'm not quite sure how we can encourage that more......but maybe it's something we can work on!!!!!!
You know I used to be backward and shy in a setting like that and I always waited for strangers to approach me....I expected to be rejected because of my weight, but the older I get I've realized that life is what you make it and as I'm going through this healing process and this fat is finally melting off my body-thank the Lord-I've begun to be bolder and stick my neck out and talk to people and I am getting really positive results!!!!
I really miss being able to dance, but instead of feeling sorry for myself I went over by the dance floor and watched the country line dancers where Barb was dancing and I talked to people! Barb(Lancaster Lady) and I don't know each other very well yet, but she is the sweetest lady and I have a feeling I may of just made myself a new best friend!!!!!!
Then I went over where Ronnie (Charles43130) was and watched some pofers dancing! They seemed to be having a good time! Later in the evening some of the young people came into the club and they were doing Hip Hop dancing on that other dance floor and I wheeled up to the edge of the dance floor to watch them. Several of these young men came over and danced with me!
I can't stand long enough on my feet to dance normally yet so I danced in my chair from the waist up and I had a great time. Two of those young men kissed me on the hand after they dance with me. That's where I got my last two kisses! Haven't had that kind of attention from men in a long time! Definitely made my night! I guess what I'm trying to say is I've been
sticking my neck out and taking chances and because of that I've been having F-U-N!
The more positive I become and the more I show love and friendliness the more it's coming back toward me! And people that reject our friendliness and loving ways aren't people we really want to spend time with anyway! Right!
Gee, I didn't mean to go all "Dr. Phil" on you and I definitely am not a person with all the answers - I'm just as human and fallible as everybody else......ask my friends......I often get my foot stuck in my mouth because I like people and I'm always trying to help them......this
may be a carry over from being a first grade teacher all those years!!!!!! LOL
Ladies, that parking lot is so safe I would not be afraid to go to my car by myself even at 2am and I'm a safety freak!
To ALL MY FELLOW POFERS,
Look the biggest majority of the people I am coming into contact with here on line and at the club last night are wonderful, loving, sweet people. But like that drunk last night there are always going to be a few people that are not nice for whatever reason.
I think those of us who are trying to be positive should just keep doing our thing and have fun. Let's just let the negative people be negative if they choose to be.........at least until we can win them over to being positive - !!!!!LOL
God Bless to all,

Just want to let everyone know I was at the 8/25/06 event at Sundance and I was there from 7pm until 2am. I feel that parking lot is extremely safe! Even the young people (who were not pofer's) that were in the club that night, were not only well behaved, but extremely polite and friendly. It was the first time I've been in that establishment in 15 years and I was very impressed with how well those young adults conducted themselves. I didn't even hear any swearing!
I Hip Hop danced from my wheelchair with two of those young men and even was able to stay on my feet long enough to have one slow dance with my good friend
Ronnie (Charles43130). Ladies, I'm telling you he has got the moves and in the dictionary under the word gentleman it should have his picture!
I was signing in pofer's at a table outside the front door from 7pm until 9:30(approx.) and had a complete view of the parking lot. I saw absolutely no trouble and would not have felt unsafe going to a car alone even at 2am.
After dark the parking lot is lit up like it's daytime. Ladies, I would not be telling you this if it wasn't true because I would never want to cause anyone to be harmed in any way, shape, or form! I saw absolutely nothing the whole night that made me feel even the slightest bit unsafe! I saw no police cruisers in the parking lot.
I personally saw two hired off/duty policemen outside in the parking lot on my way to our vehicle (it's my understanding they hire 6 altogether). The officers didn't appear to look like they were concerned about there being any trouble. Looked like pretty easy duty to me!
I hope this will clear up some of the mistaken information that seems to be circulating about this club.
Because of my health issues this is the first social event I've been to in about 5 or 6 years. I had a wonderful time. I'm very new to Plenty of Fish as I just signed up on the 18th of this month. I was very impressed at how nice all the Pofers were that I met at this event. Makes me have a lot of hope for this old world! There are really a lot of nice individuals that are Pofers!!!!
So if you didn't come to the Aug. 25th event because of the negative comments about safety issues, please don't let that stop you from joining us on game day to watch the Buckeyes! Come find out for yourselves.....and bring a friend because we are going to have a great time! Go Bucks!
God Bless to All,

Well it looks like I will be attending the Sundance event on Friday night. Though I can't really dance yet I have been asked to greet people and hand out name tags. Sounds like fun because I'll get to meet all the Pofers coming to this event!
I also plan to bring my camera and take some pictures of all of you having fun!!!!!! So don't forget to bring your smiles! I also plan to enjoy the music, especially the live performance of the new country music performer on the patio. I wonder who it could be? I remember seeing Kenny Chesney at the Fairfield County Fair right before he hit it big!
We may be seeing a performance by someone who will be that famous soon. too!
See ya all there!

To Pofer's on this thread:
I thought those of you who do not know Ronnie (Charles43130) might look at this whole
situation a little differently if you knew anything at all about this man. For 5+ years I have been housebound due to an illness. I had to stop teaching first grade. I had taught for 14+
years and dearly loved it! I had tried to get help from many doctors, specialists, and physical therapists, but I was only getting worse and worse.
In the first week of January of this year I met Ronnie. I couldn't even hold my hands above my head. My color was gray and my breathing was extremely shallow. I know Ronnie didn't think I had long to live.
There was no reason for Ronnie to help me. He had no way to make any personal gain of any kind by helping me. So why did he? It has to do with the kind of human being he is! I am now (7 months later) vigorously exercising in a heated pool two days a week. Ronnie provides my transportation to the pool and is my coach. He has been the only one to provide an exercise program that builds my strength weekly without causing me injury or extreme pain.
I am almost ready to get rid of my wheelchair. I can now lift my arms above my head and pick up and hug the little children that come to visit me! I have lost about 60 lbs. and last Thursday after exercising in the pool I went out to lunch without my wheelchair, a walker, or even a cane. ALL THIS IS DUE TO RONNIE!
Ronnie would never host an event in a place that would be dangerous to anyone, especially single ladies. He is a gentleman! He is a kind, considerate human being that goes out of his way to help those in need. I know of several people he helps routinely! I am proud to call him my friend!
I am not going to this event because I am not yet able to dance, but I plan to be at the Buckeye Bash on Sept. 2 at the Sundance! Hope to get to know all you Buckeye loving Pofers at that event!
Good Luck with this event Ronnie.......I know it will be a success!!!!
God Bless,
Lynn110
