Atheists: What are your theories on how *it* all began?
Posted:
7/22/2009 6:39:23 PM
I have been an atheist most of my life, after having been raised Catholic. I don't pretend to know "how it all began", but I am sure than "God did it" isn't a good explanation. Oh, it's a
possibility
, but not a very likely one. *chuckle* Based on the evidence, I the universe appears to be the result of natural processes extending back billions of years until what we refer to as the "Big Bang." Whether there is an explanation for
that
, I don't know - it may simply be a brute fact. But to arrive at such a brute fact and then say "God did it" is just silly, and unecessary. To take the brute simplicity of the conditions of the early universe and then solve their lack of explanation by proposing an omnipotent, omniscient, and highly personal "God" which is
itself
without explanation "multiplies entities unecessarily", as Occam put it.

could humans be the highest form of intelligence in the universe?
Posted:
7/22/2009 6:29:00 PM
Oh, humans
could
be the highest form of intelligence in the universe. Is it likely? Hard to say, given the difficulty in calculating the odds of life elsewhere in the universe. Life appears to have arisen on Earth almost as soon as it cooled down enough, so I find the argument that life arises relatively easily relatively convincing. Of course, the rise of
intelligent
life looks a little more unlikely - given how long it tooks,
multicellular
life looks pretty difficult, let alone intelligent. On top of that, you have to consider how common planets capable of supporting life are, but given recent discoveries it is starting to look like planets might not be too rare, so at least some of them are presumably going to life bearing. So, if I had to guess, I would say there is probably something out there smarter than us, but that the odds of us ever meeting it are vanishingly small, if not near-zero. *chuckle*

Circumcised vs Un-Circumcised...
Posted:
7/22/2009 6:12:12 PM
Wow, the discussion never ends does it? I am just glad I live in a country where circumcision is rapidly becoming extinct. There is no good argument for circumcision: the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS)'s neonatal circumcision policy since 1975 has been that there is no medical indication for male neonatal circumcision. As for arguments like looks... does it really matter what the flacid penis looks like? Cut or uncut, it looks pretty silly. And fully erect (which is when it really matters) there usually isn't that much difference.
And the cleanliness argument is just silly. You are going mutilate millions of babies (killing a few of them in the process) because the occasional idiot doesn't wash? Wow, that is just incredibly poor thinking. Hell, you don't even
need
to wash to stay
relatively
clean - give the foreskin a pinch while urinating and it will be rinsed clean. Not very palatable obviously, but clean enough to avoid any build up. The foreskin isn't really any more of a "breeding ground" for bacteria any more than a mouth or a vagina, and almost no one suggests surgically altering those to dry them our and toughen them.

Anal Sex

The best lubrication is a woman's own? Seriously? For vaginal
perhaps
, depending on the amount of lubrication a woman is capable of, but for anal? You are the first person I have ever seen suggest that as a good idea. Oh, vaginal fluid and saliva can make anal
possible
, but it is not the most comfortable possibility - try Hydra-Smooth.

Depends on the guy. Personally, I eventually learned not to pursue a girl - if she is interested, she will either answer the phone or return my calls. Of course, that was after a few years of doing
way
too much pursuing. *chuckle*

what does it mean really for a guy to try to have sex with you on the first date?
Posted:

I would say that it really means he is a guy. *chuckle* Seriously. For me at least, having sex does not "ruin things" - if I am
actually
interested in a girl, having sex with her does
not
decrease that interest. That is, I would suspect that when a guy loses interest after sex, he wasn't really that into the girl. *shrugs*

what's with women going to the toy box instead of the real thing

Anal Sex
Posted:
7/22/2009 5:24:10 PM
Uh, yeah... you don't have to have an enema before you have anal sex unless you are planning on doing it total porn star style with lots of ass to mouth and so on - that can be fun, but that kind of prep is pretty damn time consuming. Oh, if either of you is insanely squeemish about occasional minor messes it would be necessary, but I don't know if anal sex is really worth it if that is the case. *chuckle* And it shouldn't hurt intensely, first time or not: with enough warm up, lube, and patience (i.e.
never
just plunging in), full penetration should be possible without anything more than minor discomfort.
As for the bleeding, I have
never
encountered that despite having anal on a relatively regular basis, nor can I recall ever hearing much about it. If it was me, I would stop anal entirely and seek medical attention - apparently it could be an anal fissure.

How to you get your man to like giving oral sex
Posted:
5/29/2009 11:38:26 PM
Hmmm... I don't actually have an answer for the initial question. *thinks* Well, I suppose you could always point out the power and satisfaction possible in making a woman enjoy herself, as well as potentially getting her really wound up for whatever comes later. Of course, par tof that is dependent on how responsive
you
are to oral sex - just lying there silently is not the way to get a man to enjoy himself.

People, there is nothing wrong with going over the same topic repeatedly: there are new people all of the time and other people enjoy repeated discussions. Really, if you don't want repition, why are you even here? I mean, what
hasn't
been said before? *chuckle*
Anyway, I think people are becoming a lot more comfortable with the ass. Personally, I find the ***hole incredibly cute and sexy, so I really enjoy rimming. And I enjoy having it returned one and a while in the shower or during a blowjob. *shrugs*

What do men think about during sex to stop them from bustin?
Posted:

I have never had to
think
about anything to keep from cumming - years of practice masturbating mean that I pretty much don't cum unless I want to. Of course, a shift in speed or a change of position can be helpful at times. *chuckle*

IF A TREE FALLS IN A FOREST, AND NOBODY IS AROUND, DOES IT MAKE A SOUND???
Posted:
1/2/2009 3:44:07 PM
Certainly it will produce sound
waves
, but is that all you mean by "sound"? If it is, then it does indeed make a sound. If you takes the position that sound is something which is experienced - that it is the sensation produced in a sentient being
by
sound waves - then it does
not
not make a sound. *shrugs* Where you draw the line is pretty arbitrary, so I don't think the question is really that interesting, though it certainly sounds interesting the first time you here it. *chuckle*

sex, is it cracked up to be all the hype you think is it ?
Posted:
9/9/2008 9:32:28 PM
Well, without physical intimacy a relationship is reduced to a close friendship, so I consider it pretty damned important. Plus, it is a hell of a lot of fun - more work than masturbation, but having the whole physical experience plus the reactions of a partner are generally worth it. Oh, I can go without sex and just masturbate, and have for up to a year, but I still love sex. *chuckle* Oh, and since when do women close their eyes during sex? For brief periods perhaps, but not the whole time.

Tongue Piercings
Posted:
8/28/2008 8:42:25 PM
You know, I rarely hear people say any of those things, at least in real life. *chuckle* Tongue piercings are just so common that it would be silly. And what about us guys who have our tongues pierced?
Anyway,
1."All girls who get their tongues pierced are sluts."
Well, that's a ridiculous generalization. I mean, what does "slut" even mean anyway? Someone who has a lot of sex? Someone who has a lot of sex with different people? Someone who enjoys sex? Regardless of what is meant, it is still ridiculous.
2. "The only reason why girls get it done is to give good head".
It is pretty much my understanding that blowjob quality is a function of a girls skill and enthusiasm, though some of the best head I have has was from a girl with her tongue pieced on either side.
3. "The only reason you want it is to make yourself look cool".
The
only
reason? I am sure it is a factor for some people to some degree, but it seems extremely unlikely to be the
only
reason. Oddly enough, I got mine pierced the first time on a bet with a girl. *shrugs*
4. "Why would you get it done? you will never get a good job with it in".
A complete lie. Hell, unless you are showing it off all of the time, most people don't even notice. Besides that, you can always get a clear spacer.

Well, as far as I am converned, it's just you. Of course, I don't think women are doing it simply because it's "stylish", and that isn't why I like them to do it - many of us simply don't like hair, we like smooth. And unlike head hair, it isn't attractive looking hair either.

Two men in a a loving caring relationship isn't frowned upon by
me
, but then neither is two guys just ****ing. It doesn't appeal to me any more than any other two organisms getting it on. *shrugs* As for other people... some men seem to find man-on-man somehow scary or threatening or at least unappealing (bizarrely, moral judgement are occasionally made based upon nothing more than an "ick" factor), and so frown upon it.
Of course, being attracted to women, I consider girl-on-girl to be pretty hot (assuming attractive women), coming as it does with the fantasy of being involved.

So by the stats from

, "some 30% in all can climax during intercourse often or always." Of course, that doesn't say if intercourse is including clitoral stimulation or not, but still, relatively high numbers considering it isn't including those who climax less than "often."
Still, I didn't say it before, but it is pretty sad to be bragging about that. *chuckle* I have had a pretty good success rate, but I don't ever "brag" about it except in a context like this. In real life, I have always tried to let people judge for themselves.

I don't know that I would agree that "most" women can't arrive that way, unless "that" way doesn't include simultaneous clitoral stimulation. Granted, I have a relatively small sample size, but quite a significant percentage could cum without even that. Of course, there were those who couldn't even get

How long does it take to get good at sex?
Posted:
5/31/2008 1:44:19 PM
I am not aware of what the average early performance is, but mine was relatively good. Try treating masturbation as practice for sex, and rather than just trying to get off when doing it, learn to extend it and go to the edge of cumming without actually doing it, and so on. That might extend performance.

If it actually bothers you and you can't get over it or manage to enjoy it, consider mentioning that fact, or perhaps just that it is chafing or something.
