Why do so many women use the word Douchebag in their profile?
Posted: 8/10/2009 3:39:39 PM
I don't have it in my profile, because men who are douchebags are too stupid to know it. I use that term in my speaking every day. I love the term "douchebag" It has a certain charm to it and tells people just how socially upward I am, ha.

Baby Shower Questions and Ideas
Posted: 8/10/2009 3:32:29 PM
Ha, beer pong. That's why guys shouldn't go to baby showers. The last shower that I went to, every guest had to bring a baby picture of themselves and they were put up on a board and all the guests had to match the picture to the grown up version. It's amazing how ugly some of us get over the years, lol. We also had to diaper people with toilet paper to see who could make the best diaper the quickest. Personally, I thought it was a waste of good ass wipe.

Question for ex-drug addicts/ex-alcoholics
Posted: 7/20/2009 1:14:47 PM
Wow, sounds like ultimatum time for you dude. Go into rehab or get the hell out. I was a pothead for years, then quit that and started getting drunk every night. I only have a drink maybe once or twice a year now. Thank God, it made me feel like chit. Now I need to quit cigarettes. I used drugs to deal with anxiety and depression. It helped for years, but then made it all worse. I did rehab and now I'm on prescription meds. Ironic ain't it? I think a lot of people give up all recreational drugs because they're afraid of sliding into another addiction. Good for them if they can admit that they have to stay away from any mood altering substance. Some people can partake on occasion and some people can't. I'm like the previous poster who couldn't smoke just a couple of cigarettes, though I have cut back some. Better to smoke one pack a day instead of two.

All time best blow offs, keep it fun
Posted: 7/20/2009 12:37:00 PM
After a new dating "relationship" quickly turned into nothing but booty calls this guy says to me "Sorry, but I can't accommodate your requests", because I wanted to actually do something besides have sex. Oh yeah, when I was 15 a boyfriend broke up with me by saying " I don't like to date just one person over the summer". WTF?

My ex husband told me that I "stole his dreams". I don't know what his dreams were, but he's living out on the street now and panhandling.

Your Truly,

Fatigue Factor
Posted: 7/8/2009 7:36:33 AM
Fatique is the body's way of telling you to slow down. Have you seen a doctor about it? We can't expect to run around in our 50's like we did in our 20's. Maybe you just need a break or some vitamins. If fatique is something new to you then a doctor's visit and blood tests could rule out anything serious. If you're like a lot of guys, you haven't seen a doctor in a long time. It could be worth the trouble and expense.

I've been watching it just to see what crazy chit they come up with next. Plus, seeing Josh Holloway (Sawyer) without his shirt gives this old lady a thrill, lol. Everyone needs a hobby.

OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)and the effect if can have on a person
Posted: 7/4/2009 5:21:29 PM
I've had OCD with the disturbing thoughts for years, since I was a kid, but Iknew I'd never act on them. It's when I got into my early 30's and the thoughts turned into hurting myself that I went for help. I take Fluvoxamine (generic for Luvox) and it's really helped me. It's an antidepressant prescribed for OCD symptoms and depression and eating disorders. I went into group therapy with other OCD sufferers over 10 years ago, but they were more messed up than me and I had to leave because they really disturbed me. lol. Plus, they were all trying to get off their meds. Bad idea.

Flashbacks from my childhood. I remember hearing "Pushing Too Hard" almost constantly on our local radio stations. How old was the guy anyway? I never saw anything in our paper about him, unless I just missed it. I guess he hadn't done anything in years.

I'll watch any movie with Depp in it. He's a little wimpy for my taste in men, but a damn fine actor. Anyone remember the old story about Dillinger's schlong being in a museum and it was 11 inches long? Got to be horse hockey, but if not, then where's that museum?

It's just crazy. You see these celebs who appear to be in good physical shape just dropping dead and I just saw an old boyfriend, 59 years old, about 100 pounds overweight, been smoking for 45 years, and he's still waddling around.

What is an acceptable response to say your not my type?
Posted: 6/19/2009 3:37:37 PM
Yeah, I got a persistant little booger the other day. This guy didn't understand a polite "NO". I wanted to write to him "Leave me alone you friggin' freak!!!" I finally just didn't respond anymore. The one's I'm interested in never contact me, and if I contact them, they shoot me down. Finding love is a real beotch.

It's crunchy Cheetohs (or generic brand) and brownies for me. I have to have my salty and sweet. I know I shouldn't, but what the hell. Good for the soul. I try to eat right the rest of the month.

The New Season Of LOST
Posted: 5/14/2009 2:34:44 PM
That was some good acting, watching Ben getting slowly pissed off as he talked to Jacob. Then when Jacob dissed him and Ben went Jackie Chan on him. I'm wondering now if Locke is possessed by some evil spirit. Maybe he's turned "bad". I'm still confused as ever and PO'd that we have to wait so damn long to see the final season. I think the writers did too much LSD in the seventies. I'll miss the show when it's gone for good. At least it isn't predictable. It was cool to see Rose and Bernard again.

Why the hell not? If I hadn't wanted children so bad, I probably would have taken archeology classes and traveled around digging up treasures. I don't think a wandering lifestyle goes with family life, unless the kids are grown. Go for it. You only live once. I'd try something adventurous if I had bigger cajones, lol.

Dating with health problems
Posted: 4/15/2009 8:22:51 AM
I have Fibromyalgia and some arthritis too, and I plan on putting those up, along with other issues, when I update my profile. I have it hidden from searches for now. I don't want to waste my time or some man's by having to explain it after a contact. I spent several weeks talking to a guy from here who finally told me he drank every day, smoked dope, and had had 2 heart attacks. I want to know upfront what I'm dealing with and want the other person to know about me. I'll know it doesn't matter if I can't go on 5 mile hikes if I hear from someone, or I may have low energy days where I can hardly get out of bed. It's up to each person whether or not to reveal health or mental issues from the get-go, but I'd prefer to know right off the bat.

I really have no opinion on his matter, but after "Octomom" and all the other stuff going on these days with procreation, it doesn't seem that weird. Perhaps this woman could be persuaded to adopt an older child who needs a home.

Can asexuality be triggered?
Posted: 4/11/2009 2:00:42 AM
Have your testosterone level checked. It may be low and you'll need a shot or whatever it is they do. I know they give women cream for their privates to make them randy, but I think men get shots or pills. If you've got your mind on work right now you may want to wait till you're ready to chase females again. It happens to a lot of men and nothing to be ashamed of. Chit happens.

The New Season Of LOST
Posted: 4/9/2009 6:30:04 AM
For the record, I enjoy the show, but I don't consider myself all that intelligent, lol. I knew Ben wouldn't get "smoked" last night, he's too important to the show. I'm happy as hell that John is back and maybe he can get everyone back together. Still confused, but I'll keep watching. I did enjoy seeing Desmond beating the living chit out of Ben, he deserved it big time.

Curious miscellaneous tips...
Posted: 4/6/2009 7:58:50 PM
And here I thought that WD 40 and duct tape would fix anything. I tried the vinegar for heartburn and it made it worse. The toothpaste does work pretty good for cleaning jewelry, just make sure to rinse it off. I use an old toothbrush for the cleaning. Cinnamon is supposed to be good for lots of ailments. Guess you'd need to Google it as I can't remember the list.

BREAKING NEWS AIG GIVES MORE BONUSES~~~
Posted: 3/14/2009 10:30:03 PM
Nothing surprises me anymore. The absolute stupidity that goes on in this country. There are people who had good jobs and nice homes and lost them because of idiots like this. Some of them are living in tent cities now. It's not fair, it's never been fair for years now, and it probably never will be. We can only hope and pray that the government will hear the ****ing and moaning from the U.S. citizens and decide to take action. I doubt it though, as the big guys all seem to live in their own little world and don't give a good crap about us "little people".

The beginning of aging
Posted: 2/16/2009 5:05:14 AM
Hellz no!! I'm not trying to fight aging as much as I could, but years of partying and laying out in the sun are out there for everyone to see. I'd get a total body transplant if I could, or at least get everything lifted that's fallen in the last 10 years. I had to touch up the gray roots twice this week. Stubborn little baztardz. You know you're getting older when you get gray hair and it's not on your head, lol. They need dye for those "special" hairs too.

Article - Relationship Red Flags
Posted: 1/24/2009 9:10:19 PM
Showing up for a first date with his wife, girlfriend, or boyfriend would be a red flag for me. Oh yeah, and a lot of that other stuff people already wrote. Let's not forget the messy cars. A little messy is fine, but not food wrappers with mold on them. I don't like guys who spit either. My son has picked up that nasty habit and I'm always on his ass about it. The red flag about the exes has been pretty much universal with every man I've dated since my divorce 7 years ago. That would be 6 men and every damn one of them started in on the exes. The men were perfect, but their ex wives were all beotches. Yeah, right. I don't want to hear that crap on a first date, unless I get to complain about my ex who threatened to kill me and the kids, wouldn't work, stayed drunk the last few years we were married and owes over $46,000 in child support. I don't think most men would want to hear that either.

How much do you spend a month...
Posted: 1/16/2009 3:03:43 PM
Man, you people have some cash to play with. I currently have 6 cents in my purse and about $7 in my checking account to last me the rest of January. By the time I pay the bills and buy food every month, I may have a few dollars to play with. Oh yeah, I bought some yarn last week, lol. That was my splurge for the month, and eating at Burger King, with a coupon. Of course, if my ex paid his child support I'd have more to give my kids and to play with. I don't go to movies and shop at thrift stores. I've gone so long having to watch what I spend that I've almost gotten used to it. Almost, lol.

How do men feel about women with silver hair?
Posted: 1/16/2009 2:46:22 PM
I just started coloring my hair again after 2 years of being gray (I know, my picture is over 2 years old). Men rarely looked at me at all when it was gray, even when I was wearing it longer. I just got a short haircut because my hair texture has gone from silky to coarse and it looked like witch hair when I grew it out. I went out the other day with my newly colored hair and actually got some glances. Now all I need to do is lose more weight and get that facelift, lol. Wear your hair the way you feel comfortable with, not because someone else wants it a certain way. It's your damn hair. I'll go gray again when I get sick of touching up those roots every 4 weeks, which could be next month or never.

Music Journalism

Back in the early to mid 70's I would have loved to have written for Circus magazine. Whatever happened to it? I can't find Hit Parader, Creem, or Crawdaddy anymore. It's all rap crap and teeny bopper crap that I find now. I can't even listen to the radio anymore, except for the oldies and classic station. I hate the new whiney emo music, if you can call it that. I've only bought Rolling Stone maybe 3 times, twice in 1973 and once in 1975. I thought it was mostly crap then and it still probably is. Suitable for lining bird cages.

Duckman, the poster before me came up with Buddy Holly. Got to give them credit, as they reminded me of 'ol Buddy. What about Beethoven? He was a long haired musician and probably considered a rocker in his time. You'd have to yell really loud to talk to him as he went deaf. Might be fun.

It sounds interesting to me, and I have watched wrestling off and on my whole life. Rourke looked too good in the pic I saw from the movie. Maybe he had some work done. The movie hasn't been released in my town and I'm sure our local reviewer will probably hate it. He's into artsy fartsy stuff.
