Runners Knee - has anyone had this cured?
Posted: 9/6/2009 7:40:03 AM
most of the time runners knee is casued from the muscles around the joint not being fully strengthend.
For a lot of ppl, there are certain muscles that will always take over in strength, its the week ones you will have to work on.
for now, yes ice, rest, etc etc...its the inflamation the you need to get tid of right now.
Many chiropractors now a days have what is called a low level laser...it was a god send for me.
It is able to get into the cellular structure and rid it of inflamation, intern the healing takes over.
Using high quality magnets (i have 2500 gauge ones. they are very small and have little stickies like a bandage so they adhere to the skin) they realy help as well. I have much success with patients who use them.

HO2....
wasnt going to comment at all till I read what you had to say about toxins and kidneys.

You my friend are wrong...the kidneys and bladder are not the only place the toxins
are excreted (urine Im talking)

Many many patients of mine drink large amounts of fluids (mostly water) and they still will excrete urea in the lymph areas of their bodies (underarm and groin)

That yellow stain is not "body odor" like we all laughed about when we were teens...its urea, that never got expelled through proper channels.

If you have greens eyes as an example....that may be a genetic inheritance...but what you inherited was a difunction within the kidneys.

we are all welcome to believe what works for us individually, even if it sounds hoakie to others....sounds like you far crossed the line of "jamming your opinion down others throats"

lighten up....take some multi-B's...they help with stress!

question christians
Posted: 1/22/2009 6:37:41 PM
what makes you think that the chirstians that did not want Obama as president, had some unlawful issue with it?

Just because ppl pray for something doesn't mean that there is an all out expectation of getting it.

I'd like to win the 43 million dollar lottery on saturday...
I may pray for it once or many times...but when and if I don't receive those monies
doesn't mean I will be all bent out of shape about it.

Devout christians will understand and or believe that what ever God's will is, will happen....whether we like it or even understand it

American Kids are the Most Medicated in the World

you are one cheeky lady...I like it!

ADD/ADHD curable with meds...lol
not a chance, but I do belive that what actually occurs for the majority is that they actually start to grow up and know what foods set them off, what settles them down, what's appropriate and what's not.

I have found in my experince that most children with this disorder of sorts, do so much better when they have a complete diet change (parents actually have to know what a "good and healthy" diet REALLY looks like, and actually have to understand that these kids cannot fit into the proverbial square society would like all of us to fit in.

"Breaking" my childs pesonality quirks is not an option, it's to teach these children how to deal with this crazy place we call life, and on thier own terms.

With love, care, guidance and respect taught these kids can function just fine!

RITALIN - THE COVER-UP OF SUICIDES
Posted: 11/8/2008 5:12:00 AM
^^^^ are you on crack?
ritalin is safe...lmao

Try and do some REAL ressearch into the so call helpful ADD/ADHD drugs

I would give my kid heroin before ritalin, and have a far easier time getting my child off of it. And the end result of her personality would be a much healthier one.

And NO...I am NOT kidding!

as for the original post...yup North America in general is completely over-medicated
we live in such a toxic environment, why would one chose to daily shove more chemicals into thier bodies. ( and no, I am not reffering to people who need insulin etc)

Anyone have a Hiatal Hernia?
Posted: 11/8/2008 5:03:40 AM
^^^^^ ewwwwww mcdonalds getting stuck...ack!
surgery bah!!!
was supposed to have the crazy surgery that slices one open from breast bone to naval
thank god! never had to have it.

I hiatal hernia is either genetic or created...and I created mine
The "flap" over my esophagus was 5cm dialated...which pretty much means it was non-exsistant. Water could set my guts off on a bad day.

After many many yearas of taking many drugs to combat the problem ( i was given chemo drugs for three years to try and stop the vomitting) one day I threw everything away. A few months later I met a chiro who litterally saved my life. After approx. 8 months worth of adjustments, and some digestive enzymes...it's all good today.

I have a very laborus job, and do go to the gym...don't have any problems at all.
It's been 14 years now.

Bicycling Toe Cramps
Posted: 9/13/2008 8:13:55 PM
here's my 2 cents.....

calcium magnesium with vitamin D
bewtween 500 - 750 mg of cal
at least 250 of mag
take 1/2 hour before bed

stretching out the calf muscles will help as well.
if you look up the anatomy of the calf, you will find three small but long muscles
along the outside of the calf runs down behind the ankle bone and attatches underneath the big toe. It can casue A LOT of muscle cramping in the foot.

Use a golf ball on the bottom of the foot as well
be gentle, and roll it around on the sole...trying to work out some sore areas

Good luck!

Do you use alternative medical practitioners and have they helped?
Posted: 9/6/2008 7:08:36 PM
alternative therapies or wholistic treatments are in our society for a reason...
becasaue they do work.
Many of my patients think I am "anti-doctor" but I am not
they do have a place in society...just not for every sniffle or sore tummy
I have raised my family wholistically for 13 years.
rarely see an MD
chiro~naturopathy~homeopathy~massage etc....oh ya...and trying damn hard
to eat healthy for me.
It's tough for some people to imagine, but just because it "good" for me, doesn't
mean it's "good" for you. finding out what foods work well in ones body
can be a life changing experience

Fathers rights - looking for ideas.
Posted: 6/29/2008 8:58:05 AM
from many past experiences with friends....
If I were your brother I'd hit up the lawyers that are just finishing school for some basic advice to start with. No they are not complete idiots...they are just finishing is all.

I'd go into court, stand up for myself with my family for my support.

In the eyes of the law...a biological parent does have MORE rights than a grandparent.
Now that the DNA has been supported he needs to get the birthcertificate changed, or the child could leave the country without his knowing.

Yes it will become a p*ssing match
Control is out of fear for these grandparents...they need to get a grip

Going into court alone will not be a bad thing...it may take a little longer
but from what I have seen, most judges give some guidance to the "unlaywered" person.

HOpe all goes well

Dating -vs- a Real Relationship ????
Posted: 6/29/2008 8:47:22 AM
OP....
yes...I do think a lot of ppl do just want to "date"
it's simplier I guess.
we live in a very "me" orientated society where "I" don't have to do anything "I" don't
want to do.
I think it's rediculous personally
Ppl do not have to be personally accountable to anyone....if they are "just dating"

such is life I guess
put it out on the table right from the get go.....
then you won't be surprize after a month of "just dating"

tubes tied and the health risks that come with it(women only)
Posted: 3/20/2008 6:12:23 PM
FYI...they don't "tie" ones tubes any longer...
they actually put clips on them.
It's less invasive (supposedly)
and for the record...there are supposed to be easier to do a reversal.
who REALLY knows. They say over time the clip "may" pinch off totally,
then u have an object floating around...lol
Never had any problems with the procedure.
But with that said...it took me a long time to convince my doctor to do it.
They figure until you of such an age (which I'm guess is close to ones mid 30's)
and have a least one child...they don't want to do it very bad.

I do see their point...many women have reversals
and others use it as an alternatinve to "safe sex" practices
and I see the other...if you REALLY know then what's the harm.

rub towards your groin so that the toxins can get out of the lymph system in that area
it's been more than long enough to have some actual deep work done on the muscle involved...look at pictures of how the thigh muscles run and do it yourself...or go to a massage therapist. stretch a little ...do a few times a day
Make certain to ice afterwards.

There are many many reasons to have one...the experience can be odd at first
you should have two sessions back to back, and from there your certified therapist will guide you to how often after.
Having a CHT done after a parasite cleanse is a must!

SOS - I have strange vertigo..........
Posted: 12/3/2007 9:25:59 PM
^^^^ do u also have what I like to call..."itchy ear syndrome?"

The top 2 vertebrae are responsible for head position, and any misalignment in that area can cause all sorts of oddities in the body...such as vertigo, itchy ear, clenching and grinding of the teeth, 33% decrease in lung capacity, all kinds of GI issues, and constipation...just to list a few.

A couple of chiro treatments can resolve the majority of those ailments.

Are we allowing our children to be poisoned ?
Posted: 12/3/2007 11:22:38 AM
OP...we live in a society that has to be able to "label" everything...just to get funding.
And truthfully I find it sad!

First off....I would give my kid heroin long before giving her Ritalin!
U may think I'm joking...but it would be easier to get her off of Heroin than Ritalin.

If u look at the diagnosis qualifiers for ADD/ADHD...then there isn't ANYONE in my life
that isn't those labels. The qualifiers are far to broad...they include the vast majority of
the population.

In my life so far...I know of one person only...where being on a scrip for his "anxiety" helped 100%.

Most ppl need to change their diet.
they need to find out what their triggers are, and try to avoid them.
there are so many other routes to take, before being put on a scrip...ppl should try other avenues first, instead of looking for the proverbial "quick fix!"

a chiropractor can help with the "fluid build up" within the inner ear.

the top two vertebrae can shift, which puts pressure on the drainage tube in the ear.

Posted: 12/3/2007 10:13:56 AM
there is all different types of "emotional affairs" out there.
but, they don't have to turn into anything sexual or remorseful.

Ppl have emotional affairs with their therapist, because of the help the therapist gives
or with their best friend, because they are a sounding board. Or even a neighbor, simply because they are close by.

But I do agree, emotional affairs can and do break up committed relationships, and most often it's simply...the grass is greener senerio

Flu Shots
Posted: 11/10/2007 9:25:48 PM
Why is it ppl say "they have to?"
I work in a clinic with hundreds of sick ppl everyday...and I don't get a flu shot, not does any of the doctors in my office say "I have to"

I think without knowing both sides of the proverbial fence, one is only going to do what their doctor or society encourages them to do.

It is against my constitutional right to have someone TELL me I HAVE to inject junk into my body....cold day in hell that would happen for me...IMO...because I have researched and looked at both sides of the fence.

Can't remember whether Lyrical Girl brought this up...but did you know that the companies who produce the vaccine look at the air currents and try to decide (haphazardly I might add)
which flu bugs may or may not come into North America...and then they decide which ones are going to be the worst of them all, then take 5 of those viruses and produce a vaccine.

ewwwwww...it just sounds wrong...at least for me

Is it common for a trainer to have you feel their muscle?
Posted: 11/5/2007 11:03:33 AM
I agree with Cam...as someone who touches ppl all day...
I only touch thier body with thier permission. If I need to show a muscle etc, I use a
chart or my own person to do so.

To play devils advocate though...I'm a "touching" kinda person, and may have done the same. In fact...I'm certai I have on several occassions. If nothing further comes out of it...just chalk it up to the trainer being one of thse "touchy" kinda ppl. If it does occur again...time to set up some boundaries or get a new trainer.

a lot of my patients have been wearing shoes as of late that have absolutely NO
arch support in them. One needs proper support, especially when on their feet all day. Getting into a really good pair of shoes, where the arch of your foot actually touches the arch of the shoe is a good place to start. If you want to continue wearing all the "trendy"type of shoes...look into getting orthotics.

You can get orthotics from a chiropractor, and while your at it...it seems like your body may be screaming for an adjustment as well.

Any testimonials for Chantix for quitting smoking?
Posted: 10/23/2007 10:33:31 AM
Did anyone read the article in the people mag last month?

Eddie Bricale (sp?) her keyboard player went completely out of control.
Unfortunatly he didn't stop taking the drug as some of us have, and because of his eratic behaviour...we wound up dead. The neighbour shot him. They thought that someone was tryin gto break into thier home. I guess he was banging and trying to kick down the door. What a tragedy!!!!

My understanding of this drug is....if you have any side effects....they WILL NOT simply go away by tuffing it out and taking it longer. The symptoms will possibly get worse. I knew things weren't good...but it was my neighbour that brought it to my attention big time.

"Single"

...the other thing you can do if you wish to get rid of the coffee habit, especially if your just using it for a bowel response...you can utilize a calcium magnesium suppliment. I use a product by a company called "Life Time" it comes in a brown glass bottle, liquid and in many flavors. I usually use the blueberry flavor.

Cal/mag is bowel tolerant. If you use one Tbsp in the morning, and one in the evening, it will help the bowel, never mind everything else cal/mag will help in the body. You can also use capsules of phyllium husks. All natural bowel fiber.

Congrats on your progress

Natural Remedies for Irritable Bowel Syndrom
Posted: 8/21/2007 12:12:34 PM
For the most part IBS is an idiopathic word given to the masses when a Dr. cannot resonably to what the "problem" might be.

Generally, IBS can show up some similarities in ppl who have it, but the triggers are usually different for most.

Everything in ones life can have an effect on how the body functions.
Yes diet, excercise, suppliments, mental health all play a role...but inless one
starts to eliminate some of the "bad" things in their life...the situation will not change.

I love raw nuts...but most do not like me.
No wheat what so ever...most glutens set me off period!
No dairy...not a good thing for me.
No apples

Marshmallow root works well, pro-biotics help a lot, digestive enzymes.
Everone is different...but one has to start somewhere.

My favorite company is in Sask....it's pure emu...unlike the "emu gold" crap that is sold around here!

sciatica...any exercises to help prevent
Posted: 6/30/2007 9:43:31 PM
a couple of things.....

Have you tried chiropractic?
Have you ever tried a low level laser?
What about massage?

If your a side sleeper...amke certain you put a pillow between your mid thigh, down to your ankles. If your a tummy sleeper...get the h*ll of of it...lol, if u sleep on your back...amke sure to put a pillow under your knees.

Ice is your friend...always use ice when u have a flare up

Alot of ppl have low back /sciatica issues when their hip flexors are too tight. If you have a bit of a sway back ( which a lot of women do after child birth) your hip flexors are too tight. They attatch to the inside of the spine in your lower back. Getting massge treatments will defintely help with that problem.

Good luck!

Mammogram........
Posted: 5/31/2007 9:40:46 PM
^^^^ just what I was thinking!
No mammo for me....it will thermography.

thermography can catch the smallest little lump...that a mammo cannot
Which is the reason why Alberta does not cover thermography...if it did
the mammography places would be few and far between

HPV vaccine - a must-know for everyone
Posted: 5/31/2007 9:31:52 PM
DJ smak...I sooooooo agree!

What I find most interesting when working in the medical field is ppl want others
opinions, instead of seeking out the info themselves.
The majority of my patients know that my child does not have immunizations
and I get asked often what my opinion is on whether they should do the same for their child.
I always tell them to look at both sides of the fence.
I treat my child wholistically 100%, not just sometimes.

When it comes to all the "new" immunizations...society really has no clue yet on how things will react in the future. What if you got your child injected, and at the ripe old age of 20 they find out that they are sterile or worse...what the h*ll are you going to do about it then.

Hormone replacement therapy is a very good example of how all the testing in the world
never figured out until 5 years ago, that HRT actually causes heart diease, and cancer in some women...HELLO!!! What's wrong with this picture.

Do you see your friendly neighbourhood wolf taking HRT or any type of vaccine.

We live in a world where the majority of us have been raised in a medical/chemical environment...it's not always a good thing.

Touch plenty of wood...but my 87 year old grandmother is the healthiest person I know!
She still swims 3 days a weeks and works out on the weights 3 days....the woman just got diagnosed border line diabetic...seriously...she's 87...lives an incredible life...and has NEVER needed the hospital for anything but to give birth to her 2 children. And guess what...she doesn't get vaccinated...go figure!

I'm soooooo glad we still have choices in Canada!

Allergic to leather?
Posted: 5/31/2007 9:09:52 PM
I think there are a few reasons...100 degrees would definitely do it.
Sweat bumps from heat and no air circulation....
The dye used in the product....
Probably the heat though...
