Although I do not smoke myself, I have dated quiet a few smokers. I admire when they have enough respect to ask me if I minded if they smoked, while we were together i.e. a date.

I have been very lucky, I have enjoyed every date I have been on. It takes 2 to make the date go right. Some people determine a date, whether they have a connection or not. That is the wrong approach. Enjoy the person you are with, and whatever comes of it is up to you.

Reminds me of a story I heard a few years back..... A male friend, one of his co-workers was all pumped up because the women he was seeing for about a month,wanted him to move in with her. Actually I think they had purchased a home.She had a little child but this man was prepared to assist in raising this child,something I respected. Fast forward a year into that relationship turns out she was a gold digger who only wanted him to move in so she had someone to take care of her kid, and her. She left him with a broken heart and an empty bank account. HE LOST ALMOST EVERYTHING. Several people warned him in the beginning and throughout but he was listening to his heart and not his head. Like most of us do. Not saying that would happen to everyone but be cautious when dating someone that wants to move in after a several weeks of dating. I know I would!!!!!!!!!!

My first love was my (now ex) husband. We met at 19 years and were married 5 years later. In total we were together 14 years. It will be 2 years in a few months that we have been apart. The last I spoke with him was a few months ago. It came to a shock to everyone, including me when he left. Him I consider my first true love, the guys before him were just lust realtionships. Long after he left some said to me he deserved an award for the role he played.......What I mean by this is.............the ones that try too hard to show others that they love and adore you and that they are Mr Perfect... are the ones to watch out for!!

A ring should not matter, it is the rest of your lives together that matter. That being said, my ex husband proposed to me twice. The first time he could not afford a ring of size he wanted( although I was very happy with it). The second time around he proposed and got me an nice size ring. I was still happy. I wore the first one on my right hand and the second right on my left. A funny story about big rings................. Last year I was running an after school program. Some of the kids that attended were.....difficult. The ones that were most difficult were about 12 years old. One boy in particular was someone that had many walls up around him.He was a child that always had to prove things in front of his friends. Well, one day I had them do a collage using magazine pictures to state their feelings. As I was sitting at a table with this boy and a few others, he passes a page with an amazing ring set. I said to him "WOW, that is my dream ring" all I hear from this boy was a grunt. So nothing was said, and he continued to do his collage. I walked away to see if any other children needed help. The next thing I know I have the picture of the ring in front of me and he is running back to his table. I said nothing to him, not to humiliate him in front of the other children. I still have that pic on my fridge. A reminder how difficult kids are still so loving.

Hey Platinum Lover, OMG that is what has been happening to me the entire weekend. I have tons of patience for things but that constant noise since Saturday morning has driven me mad. The only difference is that the dog that would be barking is mine but she is in my kitchen barking.

It is very sad how many people judge by exterior only. Usually people like that are the ones that end up alone because they are so shallow. Smile,and wear your scar proud. Hey Patch.....I also LOVE Niagara Falls, when I tell people that they laugh at me....they all think it is such a cheesy place. For me though I love going to Niagara. There is something I love about that place that keeps me coming back for more.

I agree with you ERsunshine about just enjoy each other's company. That is all that matters after the big day anyway. I think that Hawaii,Fiji Islands,Bora Bora, Austrailia,or a tour of Europe would be places on my list for a second honeymoon............now the only thing I need to do is find Mr. Right.

I was with someone once who tried to move moutains with me in the beginning. I am not too sure why he did this but it gave me hope and then he let me down. That being said,I admire him for doing it in the beginning and not leading me on further. He was a true gentleman to sit me down and tell me how he felt. I wish my ex husband would have done that. Anyway I look at that experience as a life's lesson.

Firefighters!! Did someone say firefighters??? YUMMY!! I would not kick any of them out of my bed for eating crackers LOL!!! I have always had a thing for firefighters. It is awesome that I live a block away from a fire station. I love when they are training and tons of them jog past my place. Ladies any time you want to have some of that eye candy, come on over to my place. We will sit on my balcony and watch them jog by.

Emotional attachments are often more determinal then physical. If you build up an emotional attachment with someone those are often the lasting ones..they mean something. Anyone can have a physical relationship and feel nothing for the person the next day.

I have always believed that if someone disrespects you, they get it back. That old saying.......... what goes around, comes around. I agree with you Josie, leave someone who hurts you and find that person who will treat you like gold. If he treats you like gold be sure to also treat him like gold. It has to be an equal balance.

Yes I do think of my ex. We shared 14 years together. If I never thought about him meant I never really loved him. I will NEVER regret those wonderful years we shared. He did leave me with a great deal of heartache and pain and that is something I cannot forget.
