i have never for the life of me been able to understand how anyone can eat sweet things before noon. maybe i have a wussy stomache, but i just can't do it! i'm sick all day! i can eat sweet things after noon, though. i used to eat a turkey sammach on whole wheat everyday, never had so much energy in my life!

this is a borrowed poem, but it's a good one, i think..
NO DIFFERENCE
Small as a peanut,
Big as a giant,
We're all the same size
When we turn off the light.
Rich as a sultan,
Poor as a mite,
We're all worth the same
When we turn off the light.
Red, black, or orange,
Yellow or white,
We all look the same
When we turn off the light.
So maybe the way
To make everything right
Is for God to just reach out
And turn off the light!
~shel sliverstein~ 'where the sidewalk ends'
you all!

how do you know if the person is actually interested?

i think alot of people haven't learned that mr. perfect isn't always what they should be looking for. there's so many that have physical ideals that they just don't let go of....always blondes, always such and such an age...and more often than not, there's someone quite wonderful just outside of that "perfect" but you're so busy culling the herd you don't notice him/her. i've found wonderful people in many places, time and shapes. whether it be friends or more, i've always tried to look for the fit, not try to fit them to my look.

"it" kept getting out and impregnating the locals? good god....sounds like farmers with pitchforks and torches were called for!
i just wanted to poke my head in, smell the beautiful smells that remind me of a simpler time only a year or so away...a happy time. i wanted to hug my very best goat friend, smile knowingly and appreciatingly at the lucky woman he loves and loves him back in full measure and with my eyes tell her "thank you for making a dear friend happy.......and clean...clean is good...."
to everyone else i know..hello! perhaps i'll be back soon with a bit of my own poor poetry or crap strung together as i like to call it. just make sure you don't step in it if i do....that'll be a pair of shoes past reclaimation. :)

i am so excited....i don't know where he'll be stationed after he finished his airforce training, so i'm really excited to know where we'll be going to. i'm secretly hoping germany...it's so beautiful there...and he spent much of his childhood there. i think i'd love it there.
i'll certainly get some pics up....maybe even one of he and i and my kiddo up now.
and you know...already, things seem better just knowing i have him. while he was here, he'd get mason up in the morning and get him breakfast so i could sleep in a bit. he's going to make a wonderful daddy and a fabulous husband.
thanks for the good wishs hon!! *hugs*

i've been polyamourously inclined my whole life, so threesomes and then some when ever they came up were always eagerly accepted. ...and the only time they were any fun at all?? when i was single. when i was in a relationship, it was always a nail in the coffin. it takes a very special kind of people to carry off a polyamourous relationship....and casual sex is not that...it's only viable in a loving committed relationship agreed to and accepted wholeheartedly by all parties. casual group sex just hurts...sometimes beyond repair. SOMEONE ALWAYS GETS HURT!!!!

there's quite a few of you who know me...by some form of kota or dakota, i've been here off and on with one profile or another for almost a year and a half now. i was once addicted to chat. when chat left her, slowly, so did i. thankfully, i think i have weaned myself off that vicious viper and am trying to find something else to while away the time. my profile says a bit about me.....i'll maybe give you a bit more.
i'm 24, mother of a son who'll be 2 on the 4th of july. i have MS, was diag'd last july and have had a terrible time of it, nothing works...things just keep breaking down. i just 3 weeks ago got engaged to a man i met over the internet who lives in TX. as soon as he's able we'll marry and be off to where ever he's sent to.
anyway....i just wanted to say hi to all those i don't know and give some much neglected love out to those i've been gone from for so long.
if you wanna know more, ask...come say hi......YOU KNOW YOU WANNNNNNNAAAA!!

...pokes head in, looks around ...."ahhhh, it never really changes, the paint peels, the wood warps a bit, but the smells are always so much the same....and never very good :)" i've missed it here.....but poetry has escaped me a bit lately, been a bit more of the mind to write long sappy love letters. i'll share what sap of poetry i've writen, though...
all the little things
short surprised laughter
narrow glance
tiny smile
knowing grin
wanting to touch
longing to know
your hand, mine
my lips, yours
every time i want to tell you
how hard it is
for me to resist
telling you.
i'm falling in love with you
this very instant
it's silly
but there's no question
of it being true.
but i can't jeopardize
the small spaces in time
i get to spend with you.
don't think i'm naive..
just know i'm falling and i don't want to land....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The gift I'd give you
If I had only one gift I could give to you,
I'd give the gift of seeing yourself true.
I'd let you see the man that I see,
All you are, all you can be.
The man that you are, deep down inside,
The beautiful soul you could never hide.
The wonderful heart,
The brain so very smart.
So happy, so silly, so sweet and so kind,
The amazing body, soul, heart and mind.
...i've missed it here with you, my goaty friend....but to make ammends for my long absence, i've brought you leftover bbq and some fine german beer....with styrofoam to eat afterwards. eat up love :)
FRIENDS
i've always been the kind of person who has so very very few friends...i'm just not the most social girl you've ever met. i know alot of ppl, and i talk to a lot of ppl, but very few know me very well. very few know the real me, make me open up and show them all that i am, good and bad.
at the top of my list, has for so very long, been excalibur. he's the most amazing man. i love him in ways i couldn't begin to explain. and should he ever be gone from my life, it will be like losing a part of myself. he knows me, good bad and ugly, and loves me just the same. he makes me happy when i'm sad, happier when i already am....and he takes care of me. all the things a good friend should do. and i try so hard to do those things for him too.
the others that are on my list, that would have to be goatsmell....a man of such wisdom and wonderful words. his brain is a many splendoured thing, if you're ever granted the opportunity to get to know him, take it...he's a gift.
outtaluck..another wonderful, caring, sweet man who's always been there for me, to be concerned when i'm sick, happy when things go well...and someone to call when i need to talk at 4 am. he's a very goood thing too!
the only other one i could really list is whoami....my love, my lover, my best friend, my soulmate...the one that i want as my husband for the rest of my life. god grant me that one wish and i shall consider myself a lucky woman indeed.
well...luckier than i already am. i have 4 truely amazing ppl in my life. life is good, no matter what else happens, my life is better than many just because of them and their love.
strong feelings about abortion? would you take this bet?
Posted:
11/21/2004 8:57:53 PM
you can all go to the ugh bush thread, if you want to know my story..i'm not going to go into that here.
i've stated before, that my basic belief system is christian, meaning i believe in one god, who made us all, ect......but i believe in more than that.
i believe that we all chose the paths we take..that we're all here to learn something, or to help someone else learn something. we don't remember this choice being made very often, thus the anguish, the why me's when things go badly. instead of learning what we can from what's happening and improving our souls from it, we're too busy mourning ourselves.
that said, i believe that babies. born and unborn, choose who they're born to...knowing full well what the out come will be. me, myself, i chose to be born to a mother who was much too young and much too irresponsible, who would not take care of me and would eventually give me up to someone who would take care of me, ........and even in that family, all would not be well. i've learned alot in this life, i think i've gained alot of knowledge. and i'm glad for it. ........and just as i made that choice, i also believe that every unborn baby, be it still born, miscarriage or abortion chooses that path, for a reason. to help someone else. to help them learn something. be it, compassion for others who lose their babies, patience for the right time and place for a baby to finally be brought to term, or even a wake up call, that the life they're living isn't right, and they've made a big mistake...a huge mistake and need to change the way they're living. that was what happened to me. i realized, in a short second the mistake i'd made....and the choice i'd have to make because of it. and my life has changed since then. and i've learned. i've learned that there's 2 sides to every tale...that we can't know unless we are that person. that there's more to any decision than what you see on the outside...............and that above all...think what you want, but if you believe that god think's it's wrong, then it's god's place to judge and only god's...so why are you doing it here?
i'm going to get alot of sh*t for this...so i'm deciding here and now not to argue my place on it...it won't do any good....i'll not change anyone's mind on anything..i've stated my place, and that's all i really wanted to do. i just wanted to say it's not always to black and white...and that sometimes things aren't always the way they seem...not as heinous as you'd like to make them.........it all depends on what you believe. i'll let you make your choices...you let me make mine. we'll all pay our dues at some point........let's wait until then to start the tallying, eh?
then yes, i mean what you think i mean. not everyone has any sort of taboo about the body like that. honestly, no one i've ever dated....i suppose it would stand to reason though, that the men (and women for that matter) that i'd prefer would be more like me on that matter and not think anything of it.
i agree with the calling other things drugs, too then. .....caffeine?? omg!! never in the whole while i smoked weed did i ever wake up at 3 am NEEDING a hit. i can not count how many times i've had to wander into the kitchen and down a mountain dew before my body would let me go back to sleep. i couldn't think of anything else..i had to have it!! but no one thinks of that major addiction badly. how many ppl HAVE to have coffee in the am to get their day started or things just don't function well?? yet if i had to wake and bake, i'd be a bad person and d*mn that addictive weed. wtf?? why is it different? i don't see it. what i do see is that i can in the span of 10 minutes make a trip downtown and buy all the alcohol, cigarettes and caffeine i can hold....and no one would thing anything of it. hmmm. such double standards.
my uncle lived in iran for a while and was drinking out of the milk container one nite and felt something *thump* against his mouth...turned out to be part of a mouse. bleck.
i've luckily never had anything too gross...but my brother neglected to rinse the dishes he was doing very well, and i got a huge mouth full of dish soap when i got a drink. i'm anal about rinsing my glasses before i use them now...even if i washed them. it was NOT such a good time........oh and i once gave myself food poisoning by thinking the leftovers in my mom's fridge were the ones from the nite before. my brother had eaten those...these were from 3 weeks earlier. i've never ever been that sick in my life. i slept in the bathroom. the really sucky part is, it didn't hit me until we were at dinner at a friends house later that day. she thought it was from her cooking. we figured it out when i said "all i had to eat today was the leftovers from last nite" my mom just got this funny look on her face and said "i knew i should have cleaned the fridge out yesterday...." to this day, it's a very very rare case that i will eat anything leftover.
btw....did you guys know that there is an accepted amount of maggots that are allowed to be in commercially canned mushrooms? mmmmm....maaaaaagotts.......!
lol...i'm known for asking ppl what they're wearing if i love it. kinda freaks them out sometimes, but usually they like the compliment. personally, i think "you smell great" is better than "you're pretty" ....scent is such a strong sense. tied so closely to memory. it can make or break an attraction. how many times have you just loved the way someone smelled and when they'd walk by, you'd just kind of breatheeeeeeeeee...and smile at the pleasure of it? that's so cool.
i like to wear girly pink smelling things, like victoria secret's 'pretty in pink' 'sweet honesty' (or is it 'sweet temptation'..i forget) and a couple others...and i looove 'sweet pea' scented things. perfume i've worn has been 'gucci rush' which is completely different, dark, almost chocolatey smelling....good for night, too heavy for day.
for men?? used to love curve, joop.....and realm makes me jump out of my skin. i am not responsible for my actions pertaining to men wearing realm. ....now i'm AWFULLY fond of the smell of 'old spice glacial falls' body wash, deod. ect.....since that's what my baby wears...and his smell makes me all warm and shivery all over. i found myself in walmart the other day smelling a bottle of it, just because i miss him so d*mn much......lmfao. i'm such a saaaaad case........
tarus, after the last 2 months i've spent apply for federal aid, i can guarantee you that women are forced to work if they're going to be on aid, too. there are mandatory programs for both sexes and if you don't complete them and actively seek/maintain a job, you loose your assistance. i have to get a signed affidavit from my doctor stating that my disease causes me to be unable to work at this time or i'm out in the cold with no help. even as it is, i'm living on $328 a month. it's not a cushy as you might think. not up here its not...maybe there are states that are more relaxed...north dakota is notoriously stingey with it's aid.
Why do Christians feel the need to press their religous belief's on people?
Posted:
11/18/2004 7:55:23 PM
many many of our founding fathers supported religion being present in our government because of the moral influence that comes with the christian religion. people who have a "golden rule" base belief system, such as christianity tend to be better citizens.
the whole point of this post was not that christianity is bad...but aggressive promotion to people who are not seeking it is. i have nothing against christianity, my belief system is largely influenced by it. i do however have something against people in effect harrassing me with their beliefs when i don't care to hear it from them. having your religion/belief system is good, and telling others about it is fine....but you needed be aggressive or annoying about it, and many christians are. i don't want it forced down my throat. for that matter, i don't want anything forced down my throat. i'm just as irritated by say, cell phone sales men in the mall kiosks constantly yakking at me to "hey, come on over here and i'll get you a free phone!" or telemarketer calling. if i want it, i'll seek it. if you want to let people know about it...put up a sign, make brochures available, put a commercial on tv for ppl to seek more info. don't corner me, don't lecture me, don't knock on my door, don't spend 20 minutes asking me if i've "found Jaaayyyzuuuuus" in a public place where i'm likely too polite to tell you to back the hell off.
for that matter......not all christian religions are like that..i was raised methodist...and i've never encountered a pushy zealot of a methodist yet. they're calm and will talk to you if you show interest, but will not persue you unless you do. they want to spread god's word, not shove it down your throat. it's only the religions in the basic group of christianity that are much more aggressive in their conversion seeking that are my problem. and not even the religion itself....just the hawking it like it was game at the carnival to anyone who's in hearing distance or too slow to sneak past you so you can't corner them. that's my problem.
very respectable stand point. i appreciate the i dont want to do it, but you can, if you want to way of thinking.
the reason it would be hard to tax is the fact that it's very easy to grow yourself in small quantities for your own personal use...thus would be untaxed by the gov't. perhaps if it were still illegal to grow it yourself? i don't know. i really do think the gov'ts issue on the topic is because of the tax thing, for a large part. they aren't very fond of anything they can't make money off of somehow.
but, i do agree with the wait 20 years and see what happens thing. i'm hoping anyway.
woo hoooo skidder!! good post, man!
okay..for that matter people will kill people over a pair of shoes...............regardless, the main reason that there's a violent black market for pot is it's illegality.
i feel there should just be a field sobriety test...if you fail it, then piss test positive for pot, it's a dui. it should be strict.....to deter people from driving while high to any extent.
...just lite up, sit back and stay home. you ain't got no where better to be while high than wandering around your head anyway!!
Pitbulls Banned!!!
Posted:
11/17/2004 9:51:26 PM
While there can be a deviant bull-breed dog, these animals should not instill fear. Studies show that cocker spaniels, Rottweillers, golden retrievers, Labrador retrievers, and chows are more likely to bite and with greater severity than a bull breed. Unfortunately, media coverage of attacks by these other breeds lags far behind its coverage of "pit bull" attacks.
i have owned and bred dogs, and was a groomer for years. it's not the dog, its what you do with it. pit bulls that are trained to be vicious will be.....though honestly, not always...i can remember more than a few young, tough guys who were mad their pit wouldn't get mean no matter what they did to it...it always stayed a loveable little teddy bear..though one with much less spirit from being mistreated.
did you know that statistically the cocker spaniel is the most likely to bite?? but is anyone afraid of them?? i am, after grooming.....cockers were obviously a pretty common customer, with all the care they require...and i'd say i groomed well over a hundred different dogs, most of them coming back on a regular basis. of those, there were literally 5 that never tried to bite me. 5........that's an awful low number. they were just naughty, vicious little dogs. but no one ever thinks about them when they think of dogs to fear. ....and what of the pits i groomed?? never had one so much as snap at me or need a muzzle. i did almost all the rotties in the shop (another breed that gets a bad name) and i only ever had 1 of those take a snap at me...and he was a very poorly trained dog, no obedience, no disipline...he walked all over his owner and snapped at her too.
give me a pit any day, they're good, sweet tempered dogs when they're well breed and well trained...just like any dog...good breeding and good training equals a good dog. ....perhaps we should consider banning owners who desire an aggresive dog from coming into the city and anyone encouraging their dog to show more than the normal protective instinct should be dealt with?? it's not the dogs who are the problem..they're just becoming what they've been pushed to become....sometimes violently pushed...it's the ones doing the pushing.
be nice to jimi, koi...he had to fall back on bible quotes and making things up to suit him...he's obviously having trouble finding a good arguement on this one. running out of anything better than stereotypes and other blather.
John Adams, one of many contemporaries who had little use for Benjamin Franklin, intended no compliment when he observed of Franklin's religious views that "the Catholics thought him almost a Catholic. The Church of England claimed him as one of them. The Presbyterians thought him half a Presbyterian, and the Friends believed him a wet Quaker."(1) Had Dr. Franklin ever been among Hindus, Buddhists, or Muslims, doubtless he would have convinced them that he was deeply sympathetic to their beliefs as well. The fact that no one to this very day is quite sure of Franklin's religious beliefs would please him enormously, if he were still with us, for Benjamin Franklin liked to keep people guessing. That is what made him a controversial figure during his lifetime, and that is why he remains controversial today.
Franklin would find it highly amusing that in recent years he has been portrayed by the political and religious Right as an orthodox Christian who helped lay the foundations of a Christian nation. The good doctor was certainly not anti-Christian, for he believed that the Christian religion inspired many Americans to be good citizens; moreover, their faith comforted them in times of crisis and gave them strength. On the other hand, Franklin believed that all other religions did the same for their adherents--Islam, Hinduism, and all the rest. Religion--any religion--was a good thing in his view, for it served a useful purpose. Franklin treated all religions alike, making him in all probability the first American champion of generic religion.
Still, the Philadelphia philosopher was well aware that except for a few Jews, the nation he was helping to establish was peopled overwhelmingly by various kinds of Christians. Most were Protestant, including numerous Congregationalists and Episcopalians, a generous supply of Baptists and Presbyterians, some Methodists and Lutherans, and a sprinkling of various religious groups from the German states. While some Catholics had played a significant part in the American Revolution, and by 1850 Catholics would become the largest single religious group in the United States, in the 1780s they composed perhaps one percent of the population.
There is no evidence to indicate that Franklin wished to impose a Christian or any other particular religious agenda on the American people. He and his colleagues at the Constitutional Convention of 1787 were wise enough to look down the road to a future time when the mostly Christian religious picture might change and to eschew setting up a state based on a particular religion. There is nothing in the Constitution as it was originally ratified to suggest any connection between the state and any specific religion. That the founding fathers intended to keep them separate is patently obvious, and that intention was reinforced by the First Amendment, which states that "Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Franklin was dead by the time the amendment was ratified, but all available evidence suggests that he would have endorsed it enthusiastically.
What exactly were Franklin's own religious beliefs? That question has been explored by a goodly number of Franklin scholars, and no consensus has been reached yet.........
as for thomas paine??? ..." After his death in New York City on June 8, 1809 the newspapers read: He had lived long, did some good and much harm, which time judged to be an unworthy epitaph. "
for the actual facts of his life, as seen in a light not meant to be derrogatory, you can go to... http://odur.let.rug.nl/~usa/B/tpaine/paine.htm
you'll see his leaving the country was not to flee.....his staying in france was to stick with his cause, be it in the US or elsewhere, his ideals were the same, regardless of the nation he was in.
please do your homework a bit better jimi.....you can spout bible quotes all you want, it really just bores most of us, but if you're going to dispute things by twisting facts and creating half truths....that, sir..is not the way to argue your point. you'll just be called out on it...as you just have been.
is it just me, or has the whole concept of christians approaching you to try to "give you the word of god" become like telemarketing....i don't care what they're selling anymore..i ain't buying no matter what. i just automatically quit listening when i'm approached because i'm just so annoyed by the intrusion into my day. i know where to find religion if i want it...everyone does. i'll go there when and if i want it. until then....go about your merry way and do as you wish amongst yourself. i'm fine how i am thank you...no saving needed. all good on that front.
Should weed be legal?
would there be a black market and criminals if it were legal????? anyone dying over control of tobacco lately? hmmmm???? oh wait, no, it's only pot that there's problems with BECAUSE IT'S ILLEGAL!!! how can you not see that!!????? there's no problems if anyone can grow it and therefore wouldn't have to buy from a black market dealer. if anyone, anywhere could grow their own pot for their own use, the problem would be solved. you could go out in your back yard, or in to the basement to your hydro set up and take what you need when you need it. it's easy to do, marijuana is a noxious weed, it'll grow anywhere you give it the soil and light.........there'd be no violence, no gangs, none of it. think about it...during prohibition there was huge wars and lots of crime and murder involved with the sale and production of alcohol. because it was illegal and therefore in short supply. when's the last time anyone got offed over a case of whiskey? been a while, eh? why? because it's legal and it's not in short supply anymore...no one cares anymore. why would pot be any different? it wouldn't. it's easier to grow a little bit of pot then it is to distill alcohol. sooo...got any other arguements? they're dropping like flies here.....
lmfao....or again...a really hot lesbian that won't break down and change sexual preferences for a man...not even a little threesome. then she goes from hottie to d*mn dyke. also commonly used for women with more power than a man....that makes them uncomfortable and resentful...so, again, they're unhappy and dyke it is.
Should weed be legal?
i've been sitting here thinking of something....
i had a major pain crisis this weekend, so i had to go into the ER to get better meds than the ones i usually have. i was given mass quantities of morphine via injection and a prescription of oxycontin to take home for later. both drugs have the ability to alter my consciousness so greatly that i'm a hazard when it comes to being able to drive, ect. there is no way on earth i should be allowed to drive? can i? yes...it's perfectly legal. i could barely stand up yesterday because of the drugs...but it was A.OK with the authorities for me to be that way. had i been allowed to, i could have smoked some weed and it would have taken far less weed than morphine to alleviate the pain. i would have been far less altered and far less of a danger. not to mention, that even after just a couple of days of being on it for pain, i'm thinking i could happily spend my life in this particular state of being, that's how addictive the drugs are. however, never ever did i get addicted to pot. i would frequently stop doing it for weeks even months at a time, easily. right now it's been 4 months since i've done it....it's no more of an issue to me than not getting to see a great friend...it's missed, but i'm fine without it. pot is not physically addictive, though possibly mentally addictive.....it feels good, so you want to do it more. like sex, really. no one really complains about the addictiveness of that. why? because mentally addictive is not a problem. you don't feel crappy because you don't get it...you just miss it because you like the feeling. and why is that a bad thing? why is it bad to enjoy spending sometime in a nice, cozy little realm of being? i just can't see it. unless you haven't ever smoked...then i suppose i can see being against it. because you just don't know what it's like...how soothing, how relaxing...how pain free and stress free it is.
anyway, i just needed to put this all down......i spent alot of time here in my drug induced haze thinking about how much i'd rather be a little buzzed instead...at least i could function buzzed. it's hard to not fall off the bed with narcotics. but it's legal! someone explain that to me......i'm confused......or maybe that's the drugs again....lol.
that's a reasonable "judgement" to make since it affects you.....i would not be reasonable to judge someone based on their sexual past for any other reason. unless you're deciding whether to sleep with them or not, it should be of no concern to you.
and yes, i know a few women who have gotten screwed over royally by men. i know a woman who had her ex husband who had not been in contact with her for almost a year write a few page long letter to a judge filled with obvious lies about her and requested full custody of their child. the judge did not investigate one single claim the man made, simply granted the custody which allowed the man to walk right into his ex's home and take the baby and walk out...just like that. it's not always the men who get f'd over by the system.
even if a woman doesn't get screwed by say having to pay him, ect....quite often they're screwed by him not having to pay anything or it being not enforced and no one does anything about it. that hurts more than her, it hurts the kids too. that's much worse, i think.
another bit of fluff from off the top of my head. sorry to inflict..it's not so good....
i wish that you could see it, what i see in you.
i wish that i could show you, a vision much more true.
you never seem to get it, the reasons for my care,
to you you're just so normal, just another person there.
how can i make you listen, how can i make you see?
how wonderful and caring, how perfect you are to me.
i guess i'll just keep trying, to get it in your head,
the depth of my emotion could never be truely said.
but try i will, to get my feelings through,
every day i'll spend, showing how i'm in love with you.
maybe you'll never get it, maybe you'll never know,
but i'll just keep on telling, about this love that continues to grow.
everyday it's getting bigger, everyday i'm feeling more,
so every day i'll try to tell you why it's you i do adore.
indeed...i think that men get screwed quite a bit of the time. but that's not the case everywhere with divorce laws. they are so widely different. i know a man who's paying over $500 for one child....my father paid $525 for 3. it's not always as widespread as you think when it comes to men getting screwed in divorces. ......but i think it's wrong when anyone, man or woman is wronged like that.
supporting bikers, outlaws and criminals?? hmmmmm...i dunno who you think i've bought my pot from, but the people i've bought from are none of those, except in the sense they're breaking the law by selling. not everyone who does drugs or sells drugs is a criminal or a bad person. a great many are simply people who enjoy the drug and supply it to their friends. d*mn, violent, unpredictable, homicidal, rage tending hippies....heheh.........i'm dying just typing such drivel. i wonder is some of you even KNOW anyone who smokes pot. i mean pot and only pot, not pot and does some heroine too....just someone who smokes and nothing else. i guarantee you they are no threat to anyone while smoking. i can't even fathom someone being even upset while being high....except maybe upset that the cheetos are gone, or that southpark is over. i know those always bummed me out.
you can in fact live a highly productive life while smoking. it does not have to take over your life and ruin it. i did it for years. i spent years at a very good job as management, made very good money for someone my age, was never late, in trouble or otherwise a bad employee due to pot. in fact, no one ever knew i did it. yet according to you all, pot is evil, bad and leads to all sorts of misbehavior and misconduct. perhaps those people who seems to go that way due to pot were already headed that way long before....it's really impossible to judge. it's very certainly no more of a problem for most people,and i'd say a heck of a lot less of one really, than alcohol. give me a pothead over a drunk anyday.
btw...just because you smoke does not make you a pothead. i guarantee you, you'd never know i smoked.
MODAL FABRIC!! surely god's gift to humanity. have you guys seen this stuff yet? it's so amazingly soft and comfortable. i know it sounds goofy to get so excited about fabric of all things, but man, this stuff is great.
i had never heard of it until i was shopping for sheets at kohl's. i came across these sheets made out of modal, and was curious as to what it was, since i'd never heard of it. apparently it's made from beech tree fibers. it's so very very soft and very comfortable. it's rather like cotton jersey, only it doesn't stretch out like jersey does, and i think it's softer, with a silky sort of sheen.
i'm telling ya'll...if i ever became filthy stinking rich, i'd buy everyone a set of sheets made out of this. you'd all love me for it, i promise.
i've been trying to find pj's made out of it, but have had very limited success....anyone know where i could find them. i'm desperate enough to buy some more sheets and make pj's out of them.
just wanted to know if anyone else has discovered this yet and what you think of it. if you haven't felt it....go into kohl's. i'm so sure you'll agree it's sooooo wonderful!
if you cannot debate resonably and as an adult, then perhaps you should stop. "flipping out" will do nothing to help your case here, just make you look bad. i myself can argue without getting quite so upset and making personal attacks because i'm angry at having my position challenge. some people can't. they should not try to have long, involved, heated arguements.
a government site....yup, gonna trust those stats. propaganda...nothing but. and i can give you more than enough stats to back up my opinion, i believe i stated that. i've spent more time researching the effects of marijuana than you'd believe. i can negate any stat you show me with one of my own from another source.
did you know that you can potentially turn the possible effects of any drug into negative ones? asprin could potentially cause you to bleed to death. tylenol could shut your kidneys down. cough medicine can kill you in so many ways. it's all in how you look at the statistics. there's an endless array of interpretations of any set of numbers. you can twist anything how you like it. just like you seem to want to do with the replies here...taking what you want out of them, leaving it out of context.
