Can hardly wait to have my pool fix , meet some new people and visit with old friends....What a great way to end the work week! So much fun!!! And I've even remembered to sign up for the event, lol!!! !!!

I don’t frequent the forums often, but couldn’t resist responding to this post. BE, I don’t think there is anything wrong with your profile, except for one detail– the word Separated. That may scare some women thinking that you’re not ready to move forward because you’re not completely out of a prior relationship? Words are words, and anyone can say what ever they want to in a profile – what’s important is meeting that person and finding out if he/she is really what their profile portrays – to me that’s more important than a bunch of words. I will say though (this is just a personal opinion of mine), that a picture is worth a thousand words….and personally if you don’t have a picture – then there’s a big chance you’re perhaps trying to hide something? I have been on POF longer than I care to remember (not bragging about that one bit), lol actually my 3rd year anniversary is coming up very soon, rolls eyes. I’ve changed my profile bio so many times over the past 3 years that I’ve lost count. Did it help? Not a bit….Going to the events and helping co-host the ever so popular Mosquito Creek dances helped give me the exposure I was looking for (right ML1, lol) – did I get any dates out of it – NO…but perhaps at that time I was not ready to date rolls eyes again ; However, it broadened my friendship circle, and I’ve met so many fantastic people and developed ever lasting friendships because of it – and to me that is priceless. I’m convinced one day I’ll meet a fish that I’m interested in – but I’m afraid by that time I’ll have forgotten how to flirt, lol!!! Everyone has preference – you did get a rose the other day…so not all is lost! Keep being the person you are, patience is a virtue…you’ll meet that person one day…whether you have a good profile bio or not, because at the end of the day – it’s about WHO you are that counts – and words are just words…If you are comfortable with your profile then keep it the way it is!

I'm going to try and make it out to shoot some pool tomorrow - depends on transit though...it's Good Friday....I'm thinking bus service will be minimal and it might take me hours to get to Clancy's, lol!!!! but it will be worth it....:) Maybe see ya'll tomorrow!!! Happy Easter!!!

It seems every Friday when I look for this event - I have trouble finding it, lol!!! Good thing I know that its held every Friday or I'd miss it all together. Looking forward to meeting up with my friends, and to make new friends....what a great way to end the week...shooting pool, playing darts and taking in a little dancing ... such a great atmosphere ...and such a great event to meet people... Wrist bands / glow bracelets, do you want them? Posted: 12/6/2008 9:27:37 AM
I vote Glow bracelets - especially at an event where the general public is also attending (Moquito Creek, Firefighters Club and all the other dances held at local pubs/bars)!!!! They are the easiest way of identifying who's in the POND. It doesn't matter what angle you are looking at - you can see those glow bracelets. (Name tags/pins etc can't be seen unless you are looking directly at them). I would never go up to a stranger in a night club/bar/pub who's dancing on the dance floor and just start chatting up a storm with them for no reason.....but I will if you have a glow bracelet on - because I know you are there for the same reason as me, lol!!! If you don't have a bracelet on - well then I probably won't talk to you which is a shame because I just missed making another friendship! We all have choices - hosts won't force you to wear the glow bracelets - so it's up to you - it's your choice. To all the hosts who continue making our first experience a good one with glow bracelets- Koodo's to you!! And mountain lion1 didn't you know that bs isn't recyclable?????

I had a great time last night...thanks to our hosts, Mountain Lion1, Bigandtalldancer, and angiepie for making this event another rawking good time at the creek. Also thanks to the staff at MC for letting the fish have another fun night at the creek... and the band...wow....they were awesome!!! It was great to see and chat with so many people that I haven't seen in such a long time...and to chat and meet some newbies as well......its always so much fun making new friends, Until next time........

Thanks to the organizers for hosting such a great event and to all the photographers who took pictures (can hardly wait to see them). I had so much fun last night... That was so much fun...thanks FF for organizing...loved the tail gate party - what a great way to meet new people and enjoy the company of old friends. The ball game was awesome. I even ended up getting 2 free umbrella's...whoo hooo!!!!!! Can hardly wait until we do this again next year.....

I was going to bring buns and plastic cups (you were going to let me know how many buns to bring); however I can bring beverages and plastic cups instead - as well as plastic cutlery...or I can bring buns, plastic cups and plastic cutlery and beverages...hee hee. The Celebration of Lights Finale will be on August 2nd at English Bay which is the long weekend in August. Awesome show! For more information about this event click on the URL http://www.celebration-of-light.com/ Theres also a POF event in Burnaby that weekend. (Check out the POF events in our area) Like missbrattypants mentioned - it depends where you are staying. We wouldn't want to send you somewhere that would take hours to get to - you might get lost..., lol! btw...Welcome to Vancouver in advance - hope you enjoy your visit:)
