buying skins, instead of gifts
Posted:

We can use our points to buy those gifts for others, so why not allow us to buy profile skins for someone, using our points. I have the maximum points and hardly ever use them, so I wanted to buy a skin for someone using my points, would this be allowed?

MANDRAKES house by the fire...for all to share
Posted:
11/21/2009 8:00:28 AM
Hiya 60 to 70, long time no see....love the write. Always nice to see you.
There was a snowboard,
sitting in the snow,
attached to my feet,
just so you know.
First the left foot,
then the right one went in,
strapping them up,
was the cardinal sin!
The board started sliding,
through no fault of my own,
with the look on my face,
Oh God, where's my phone??
As the board picked up speed,
and a tree straight ahead,
wrote my will in the snow,
cause I knew I was dead!

rape/molestation victims and dating.....
Posted:
11/21/2009 5:38:57 AM
I dated a woman that had been molested, and it was rocky right from the start. This was quite a few years ago. Nothing about that relationship was normal. After discussing it with my family doctor, she told me to "get out of it now!!" Everything my doctor told me was coming true. I was becoming a victim of her past abuse.
I did care, very much, but there was no closeness, no touching. After three months of dating, there was no sex either. I felt like I was walking on egg shells all the time. That's when I realized I couldn't stay with her. I needed a place where I could be myself.
I moved on, and so did she.

If a dog is trained for such purposes, and attacks/kills an innocent person/child, then there should be a new law on the books...one where the owner of said dog, can be charged with second degree murder!

Did you think life would be like this at 50?
Posted:
11/20/2009 8:04:06 PM
In my wilder days, I lived it up, never expecting to live past 50! Now that I have reached that milestone, and all in one piece to boot, it can only get better from here.
All the goals I had set in my youth, I achieved by the age of 19! After my fifth concussion though, everything went downhill. My life spiralled out of control for the next 10 years, and then I got back up on the horse, and started to put me back together. Every day is a blessing. I love my kids and grandkids, and all is well, so I am planning on relaxing for the next milestone! Tomorrow!!!!
we're not here for a long time, so make every day count for something positive!

Circumsision and its woes.
Posted:
11/20/2009 4:51:06 PM
OK, seems like a touchy subject for a lot of people here. I am not in favor of circumcision if it is not necessary! But I want to comment on some of the things I believe to be fallacies:
I am a good example of both sides . I didn't get circumcised till I was 22 years of age. Yes, I got a few infections there, but they were minor. The reason I had to have it done was because the foreskin was way to tight once I get an erection, to the point it caused a great deal of pain. I couldn't even have sex because it hurt that much.
As for sensitivity? I am just as sensitive today, as I was back then, maybe even more so! There may be people that lose some of their sensitivity, but I am not one of them.

Do you ever feel like you belong in a different place or in a different time?
Posted:
11/20/2009 3:44:15 PM
I have those feelings often, and had them all the while I was growing up. However, they weren't from a sense of belonging, they were more a sense of "deja vu". I have never been one to cater to that "in crowd" philosophy.
For me, it is a sense of being somewhere I have never been before, and feeling that "I know this place" or "I've been here before". And then there are those times I just wanted to be somewhere else, or felt I was from another time!
These are not instances that overpower me, but they still happen from time to time. Sometimes I am in the woods, and swear I can hear the voices of spirits speaking from long ago....and no! I am not drunk or stoned!
Then I start wishing I could be a peeping tom, and look in to see what their lives were like!
It's all good though...I'm here, where I'm suppose to be!..............I think!!!!!!

only way is to hide your profile, and stay out of the forums. Also in your "edit" profile, there is a selection so that people you view, will not know you have viewed them. If you have people on your favs list, and they have you on theirs, they will be able to see when you come online, unless you delete them, and take yourself off their list.

“Every blade of grass has its angel that bends over it and whispers, 'Grow, grow.'”
Posted:
11/20/2009 12:56:58 PM
Hi Wooby, this was one of the first poems that had a huge influence on me. We had to memorize it for English class, and I still ove it today!
Abou ben Adam
Abou ben Adam (may his tribe increase!)
awoke one night from a deep dream of peace,
And saw, within the moonlight of his room,
Making it rich, and like a lily in bloom,
an angel, writing in a book of gold.
Exceeding peace had made Ben Adam bold,
And to the Prescence in the room he said:
"What writest thou?" The vision raised its head,
And, with a look made of all sweet accord,
Answered, "The names of those who love the Lord."
"And is mine one?"said Abou, "Nay, not so,"
Replied the angel. Abou spoke more low,
But cheerily still, and said, "I pray thee, then,
Write me as one who loves his fellow men."
The angel wrote, and vanished. The next night
It came again, with a great awakening light,
And showed the names whom love of God had blest,
And lo! Ben adam's name led all the rest.

every cult has it's glimmer, but ends in tragedy.
In particular, Heavens Gate is only ONE of the cults formed by a Mr. Applegate. One or more of Applegate's cults were based on scriptures, and Revelations in particular!

Miss Leona...I have 6020 points, I wonder if I can transfer them over to you? I never use them...or maybe we could arrange so that we can buy skins for someone else! Senseless having points I never use, when someone else could benefit from them.

I have zero experience with older men.

You know? Trying to keep it up for hours can get boring also. It's not just about the man's performance, or lack thereof, it's also about the woman's performance too. If a woman can't get off in a "reasonable" period of time [one hour], then it can start to create a lack of interest. Now, I'm not talking about once or twice, but regularly.
A half hour of foreplay, and a half hour of intercourse should be sufficient. It always has been for me and my partners over the years. There have been longer sessions, but within an hour has always been the norm. I don't have ED, so that's not an issue for me. One woman I was with, a few years back, had a hard time finishing within the hour time line, and I found out she had a drinking problem...that killed that!
It's not always the man that has a problem, some of us are quite healthy sexually. Might have lost a few brain cells along the way
but the rest functions quite nicely!

I actually started a thread, asking the same question, but can't remember it's title. There never was an answer given about those highlighted profiles on the favs page.
Funny thing is, I don't get them anymore. They just disappeared one day, and never came back. It started with one, then two, and then three....now there are none showing in that space...just the usual row of ten now. Don't be too concerned about it.
