Gold Fish required now to see sent message status???!!!!
Posted: 12/7/2010 6:48:33 PM
People, you have a CHOICE in this matter! If you don't like what is happening, then find another site. There are numerous FREE sites out there. Some are just as good as this one, but without the fees, and some have forums that are far better than this one.

I don't like the changes that have been going on around here, and I have been checking out a few sites. All you have to do is google the appropriate words. I have been here four years plus, but my account will be closed this week.

cheers everyone...send your message whatever way you wish.

MANDRAKES house by the fire...for all to share

For Poetlover59

It says you have blocked me
when I send you a message,

and if this is so, it's ok
but, somehow, this is strange

and hard to believe,
after all this time.

I have my own suspicions
but will save that for later.

RSVP, if you wouldn't mind.

Whisper's in the Dark.... Road being traveled...
Posted: 8/13/2010 6:20:21 PM
I am humbled Sir! Thank you...let this entry be my last...I leave you with this, written a few years ago, but one of my favorites. I dedicate this write to Sarah!

Trail of Whispers"

I felt the softest whisper,
nick the back of my neck,
playfully and yet shy,
it darted off in a sec.

I followed up the scent
your deliciousness that wows,
the second whisper giggling
somewhere among the bows.

I search the lower branches,
your scent of lingering peach
blowing kisses in the wind,
floating, just out of reach.

I hear the next whisper,
beckoning from afar,
I hear you laughing playfully
yet, know not, where you are.

The next whisper bolder ,
covering up my eyes,
I heard the water splashing,
then, to my surprise

Your voice spoke out more clearly
No longer whispering scents,
"Don't peek, I'm swimming naked!"
yet, not feeling tense.

She collected up her whispers,
the apparel that she wore,
and hand in hand, we walked along
the shores of forever more.

^^^ and what, may I ask, is your age again? [wink]

The whisper falls prey
to it's own sanctuary,
imprisoned in a tomb of voiceless
silence, searching destiny
on the walls
of charcoal halls,
dreaming of a safe harbor
to be heard,
yet alas! the whisper falls prey
to it's own echo!

Ahhhhh, the Jekyl and Hide,
that quiet deception,
like a toxic elixer
of a fragrant orchid,
leading me to feel good
rather than "just feel",
blurring the lines
of reality,
seducing my weaknesses,
exploiting my sanity,
that sadistic torturer
that wants me to believe...
"just one won't hurt!"
and the devil went down to Georgia!

OK, I don't like the idea of being "forced" to apply this new feature in order to access my mail. I can understand the concept for those who are looking for a mate, but this feature will be contrary to what's in my profile now. I don't want people contacting me thinking I'm looking when I'm not. But until I pick one of the options, I can't access mail.

Green dot in the In box - user online
Posted: 5/9/2010 8:37:11 AM
Just a thought, maybe you could put two lights ..a green and a red, the green to show they are online, and the red so each person can turn it off if they wish. If you can put a green light there, it shouldn't be any more difficult to add one more!

If I don't want to see them above my mail box, I can click on the red light to delete that person's appearing.

Way to go, Retard

Words are words as some would say, but freedom of speech comes with a responsibility. Always remember that every action has it's consequences. Speaking without thought of anyone elses feelings is an action. The best defence is not to offend! One must not think of their own level of sensitivity, but the sensitivity of others. It is called being considerate!

Greece trouble
Posted: 5/7/2010 8:10:35 AM
It's not just Socialist Gov'ts that are responsible for dipping into the coffers. All parties do the same thing, Conservatives, Liberals alike! In order to keep Gov't workers happy, they create cutbacks everywhere else. Then add taxes to counter their spending. Sooner or later, it all catches up to them. Unions have to become more realistic with their demands...now that's a laugh!

Frijid Pink may also be considered as Metal! Some of their stuff was pretty heavy. Not sure if they came before Sabbath or after though.

question about reporting profiles
Posted: 4/28/2010 6:43:56 PM
those are certainly red flags. The key is wanting to move to private email so fast. At this point however, I don't think what you have constitutes any violation. Perhaps see what happens from this point. Save/copy emails that might prove your theory.

Posted: 4/27/2010 7:33:21 PM
Right on Bro^^^ cool pic. Mine only had two pickups, no Trem, and three controls. It was flaming red! Yeah man, that T-bar was one of it's best features. About a year after I got my Hag, I bought a Garnet Amp with the stinger function...wow! what a sound that thing had>!!

Hey Lucky! I had a backup acoustic, and it was a black and white silvertone...archtop! Very nice sound for a cheapy!

Best Guitar Still...or the one that got away.
Posted: 4/27/2010 6:58:31 PM
When I first started playing the guitar, I picked up a Hagstrom Mk III, that was early 70's. I liked the Hag because it had it's own design, very slender neck, and fast! My acoustic was a Gibson Dove. Back then the Les Paul seemed to be all the rave.

What I liked about my Hag, it was far lighter than a Les Paul, not to mention, cheaper too!

try using Avast, the free edition anti virus, and down load "windows defender". It is also free. I have both, and have no problems at all. I use to have avg, but it kept shutting down my windows defender. That's when I changed to Avast. Problem solved!
