Gosh I really can't think of putting it any better than Gary did I think this online stuff is just very much like offline experiences. You'll get the good & bad both places. The choice is yours to allow it to effect you or not. Yes some people may get a little braver online & be able to be alittle more blunt or rude at times but you can still get that offline too. Think it just goes back to you being in control of your life & who you choose to allow into your space. Good Luck Allaboutmyheart!

Yep Colsoh1 I think you made a good point. Mods cleaned house & some got fed up & left & others perhaps like myself, it put a damper on things. Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth, ya'll know that feeling right? But we shouldn't or I guess I should only speak for myself shouldn't let that get the best of me. I keep up with the threads just haven't posted much for maybe fear of something taken the wrong way & having my account suspended again.

No Relaxed I don't think it was just you & dm here ....maybe you didn't mean to come across the way you did but it sure came across very judgemental. You had to realize the exact people you were talking about at these 2 events you went to would be reading this thread. How do you think that post made them feel? You didn't find anyone attractive to you? So that means it wasn't worth speaking to anyone? Just some food for thought.

I don't think your wrong. I think what makes a player a player is when one is deceitful. They are not honest with any of the ladies they may be dating. They will try and string a few along and its all just a game to them. They are not really looking for a serious committed relationship at all. They are always thinking of themselves & no one elses feelings. How's that close?

I have to totally agree with CITB also. Its not small stuff if it is something that is bothering you. In a relationship if your SO is bothered by something, that's very important & needs to be addressed as such & worked on & talked about to come to an understanding or compromise of some sort that will benefit both of you. I think one of the biggest things for me when I lost my husband was I wanted so much to talk about him & share stories, it makes you feel close still to the one you have lost, but I was afraid of burdening others. I would just remain quiet until someone would start a story about him and that would open up the door for me to talk & share some wonderful experiences. It truly made me feel more comfortable talking with them. So my advice is talk about the one that has died, don't act like it hasn't happened & your afraid to mention their name or avoid that the death has happened. Usually we want to talk about the one we have lost.

I love animals, grew up with dogs, cats & riding horses. But we had this one dog, a***r spaniel that we called the dog from HELL* This dog hated us, we tried everything with him but I think it was because he was left alone some thru the day by himself that he would pee on something that belonged to the last person that would leave him in the morning. He chewed thru screens & we even put a doggy door in for him. He would stick his head only out the door than I guess think he was outside enough & pee all over the floor with his head sticking out but his butt still inside. We finally found him a good home with some good friends of ours that had kids and were home all the time. The day came for him to go with them & as they started out the door he turned & looked at us & pee'd all over the floor & continued out the door...just as if to say....good riddance. Ohhh I guess you can't say c o c k e r LMAO

Ohhh this subject is such a touchy one. I'm going to try and put in my 2 cents without offending anyone. I am a smoker & I'll tell you what, it is the hardest thing to quit. I have tried ohhh about 5 times now. I think it can be just as bad to kick as alcohol or any of the other drugs. I try to be one of the considerate smokers & not smoke around others that do not smoke. But.........I have not lost my common sense in life, as one has said here or judged anyone for what bad vices they have or don't. I think smokers need a little more compassion instead of the ridicule they get as being uncaring, selfish, second rate people. Funny how this dangerous drug is legal among all the destruction it can cause.

Being one that has never attented the gatherings (mainly cause I am just to far away) Just trying to figure out which one to go to seems madding to me.
