rather than shave your eyebrows, just go back to bed
get those silly thoughts of Vera Lynn ,out of your empty head
better a dirty woman ,yeah I think that would be nice
instead of shooting bricks or skating on thin ice
now Eugene,He just states the facts
running for his life ,yet careful with that ax
he will shave those eyebrows for you
so just sit back and relax

to face with joy another year
to live in grace with hearty cheer
to run the race and bring up the rear
to simply state...what the f@ck am I doing here
a year has past since I took my leave
fed up with it all ,saying "that's it I'm through"
yesterday I returned ,and what do I see ?
the same rudeness to rules ,even when its spelled out for you

In the lies we tell ourselves each morning
we find discrepancy's in our own truth
like rabid clowns or thunder head warnings
the undercover monsters from the days of our youth
yet under it all is the meaning of us
a very scary unrealized scene
and though we know the dangerous
we still can't remember just where we've been

rapture leads to love

its not for jaded hearts

but when loaded on your G.P.S
the screen just fades to blue

Life was created by the sun and water
waste it wisely just ignore its deposits
habits breed quickly pushing us over the top
preserve our proposed someday ,somehow make it stop
its hard to say what will get us first
the molten air or the blinding thirst
I'm talkin about the all time worst
me and you on the last day on earth
whats it all for ? this land of milk and honey
discovery makes the world go around not money
fear is the weapon of choice the ultimate discrepancy
while fat cats get fatter with needless industry
whats the point, whats the use, what is the matter
with us ,with them and all my useless chatter
there is enough to feed us all both great and small
even those dissidents in the mountains of Nepal
in that land of our rebirth
at the top of the world
me and you girl
me and you on the last day on earth

do you think it would be warm out side
as sunshine mines platinum for the spring
where even shade finds a place to hide
in pools of azure where children sing
and they sing "is this whats left for us ?"
has the smile betrayed your face
as memories squeeze future plans for space
is there more days in your time instead of time in your day
did you ever sit and wonder how it all just kinda slips away
my comfort zone has been expanded or abandoned I don't rightly know
calling it our quality time instead of yours and mine may be the way to go
love bites then leaves a bruise and we save all the colour for future abuse
is that me talking or pretending to heed my own advise when I have far better things to do
do you feel the cold in here ,should I throw another log on the fire
or just throw away the rudder and let fate have our final decide
while even someday creeps slowly from our side
in pools of unsure where we once sang
and we sang "is this whats left for us ?"

are you for real
yes I am
I'm just not completely coloured in
thats how I feel
now and then
I hoard rainbows to keep it all even
is that a true
or just a timely tell
is it just me or has this all gone to hell
is that real enough
has it been too rough
lets throw up our hands and sing its just as well
its just as well ,just as well I can't spell

catastrophe and paradise walk hand in hand
he said it like he knew he was Tolkien about
all great things start with this simple contradiction
believe me I'm right this monkey feather had the plan
was gonna keep it all to himself as a perfect way out
only he knew the details the rest is fictional depiction
a photo unshaken or some misspoken mistake
even the time arriving just a little bit too late
but I'm prepared for that eventuality he said
I'm primed and ready to support the troops
just as soon as I question the cause
or for that matter and a healthy dose of surreality
I too think its about time for a pause
so we paused or at least perused a clue
mayhem even took the time to question one or two
he pushed on with "love at first sight has muddled the mind
just then common sense used my mouth to say "lets play it by ear"
I know I heard someone once declare that love is blind
but you and I both know I'm deaf to anything that unclear
his theory had legs I will freely admit
proclaiming opinions are contrived to be related in script
digital displays signalling satellites telling us the news
buying what they tell you right down to which shit tickets to use
this is called popular opinion and could go on to translate
but as far as escaping it was already too late
best to take your 80 years and do the best that you can
just forget all about those americans and their immortality plan

In remembrance of
all this and so much more
most deflated by me Love
throwing shadows at the days without nights
if you believe in dreams
regret can have no remorse
just a little pretentious to be
opening windows to the new sunlight
Bradley I Pitt against Angelina Jolie
somethings happening it says here
but I have never been there
or seen anyone that strange and not acting
convincing it says and you know they know it all
complete with photos sure to cause a fall
Its a numbers game that's come to me
in words too long to complete
you know they're one of them
all but the heartbeat
and you know we're two of those
only when our hearts beat
In deference to
the lonely four
often related too my hand in yours
ashes will form when everything's right
when we conceive the means
secrets will have their voice
and dreams will cease to be
sunlight through open windows at night
John Paul Jones Plants a Page of folly
where time has hidden something so dear
under the big top at small town fairs
and no-ones as normal as when we're attacking
practicing our ways and heeding the call
unfeeling in action preparing to fall
we're a wordy bunch it seems to me
with thoughts too high to reach
and yeah I'm one of them
all but the heartbeat
and I know you too are one of those
I can feel your heart beat

I'm keeping the lines open like a faintly eroding vein
little word blurs and rivulets of passing thoughts in refrain
just lately being lyrically poor ,carving grooves into ruts
a reflection on how all dreams have their own inevitable buts
but
shes bent in half at the end of the bed
painting her toes to match the thoughts in her head
she changes her eyes before she turns to me
blows me a kiss that unlocks all the keys
but
its not my fault I'm a bit too convenient
never too late to take the appointment
you'd think by now I'd learn to avoid it
or easily explain what it all really meant
but
I'm negating the hairpin when its us and them
flailing about at the old sink or swim
taming the tiger and chasing dorsal fins
that's right I said dorsal fins at the sink or swim
but
the lines are still clear, bleeding the vein
dropping hints and allocations taking places and names
I know what to think just not what to say ,or even where to start
like a dream reflecting back on everything ..or anytime before the but

First off Sly "you talk too much ..........way too much"
Second I am heartsick about the Sens Stanley Cup Final crash
It has taken me almost two weeks to get over the pitiful 5 game mismatch
and I'm still asking myself "what the **** happened ?"
Too long a lay off ? ,Calls weighted in Ducks favour ? ,No guts ? I don't know.........
I do know this The Sens are better with Redden and Alfi does want it as bad as me
and whats done is done and we can do nothing until next year
So lets move on Leaf fans ,,even with a goalie you still SUCK
and Ryan Smyth wants a cup guess who he thinks he can get it with ???
I also have to retract the shit I said about the Ducks line of Getslaf Perry and Penner
they are better than I thought ...oh well live and learn eh ?
anyway the draft means nothing for at least two years but Russians are still are crap shoot so
any team picking them should tighten up their butt cheeks and hope for the best.......

please listen to whats best for you
pick up on the P's and Q's
forget everything they said
they who put ideas in your head
their eyes are everywhere
watching everything you say
when they're not really there
appearing out of thin air
it must have been some other day
don't take it cause ya need it
oh no baby ,creep up on it slow
it knows how to get you there
higher than you ever wanted to go
until the reception fades
and the dream becomes stark
going through the phases
making plans and trading places
another stop on the train of thought
so thats about it!
life caught up with me
who gonna buy that shit ?
"thats how its gotta be"
when it all gets so strange
that the locks don't fit the keys
why everything must change
who's the God to blame
thats come between you and me
pay attention to what I'm not saying
fill in the blanks where the color isn't fading
it takes two to have a master plan
its the ladder we stand under pretending to understand
black cats have supervisions too
they don't want me to cross their path
but mirrors break my heart
seven years is just the start
the rest is the eventual aftermath
so there I'm missin U2

what an outdated moronic statement
do you think that Alfredson or Lidstrom or even Selanne
have been getting up at 5AM every morning since they were six
and living away from home since twelve and sacrificing family ,friends and
a normal childhood just to piss it all away for two months in the summer ?
They want to win and work as hard as any North American does
If you have to group people into races then Hockey players are a breed of their own
This is the 2007 Stanley Cup playoffs not the 1938 Olympics for Gods sake
wake up ! The Cherry train has long since left the station
ask the porter if Anton Volchenkov has a taste or the heart for playoff hockey
The only reason a "Euro" hasn't captained a Cup champ yet
is that the odds are stacked against them
Out of 30 teams 35%have non North American captains
yet 50% of the frozen four had a Swedish leader as well as half of the final two.
Racism in sports died with Jackie Robinsons MLB debut or should have

or the female version
with twisted perversions
revealed in stages
or better yet cages
where we're all less afraid
of the parts we have played
but I digress
in utter distress
......forever yours
more or less............
"I could just about scream"
she might have moaned
had she known
no one was at home
Instead she fled
straight under her bed
where prayers are said
remembered by rote
through times kaleidoscope
unclothing cryptic notes
reading thats all she wrote

The Sens are Ottawas team thats why they call them Ottawa Senators
The leafs are Torontos team for the same reason and they play there
Canadas team is Team Canada All Canadian because thats the whole point
So root with your heart for whoever blinds your sidings or obstructs your puck persuit
With all the talk about how big and tough the Ducks are I looked at the average size of
the teams Ott is bigger which means "throughout the line up"
every line has a big hit for Selanne 1Alfi 2Fisher 3Neil 4Schubert and four D
I can see Pronger head hunting hope EVERYONE stands up for each other

OK what am I missing ? Rob Niedermier !!! a shut down specialist ? Please!!!!!!
His brother ? OK .Pronger ? I get that
Teemu . A clutch goal scorer ? not if he's pounded silly which he will be...pounded that is
as far as I can see The Ducks have three Big players 2 defence and a goalie
the rest would have to battle to take a spot on Ottawas 2nd line
Yeah Penner ,Perry or Getzlaf would have to fight Schaefer for his spot
Now for all you "fans" that booed your blue asses off at Alfi In his own building
and now buy Sens flags and stickers for your his and her minivans
well I'm here to tell you WE DON"T NEED YOU go back to Scarborough or Oshawa

I have a comment on the so called "Emery rebound problem"
It occured to me against The Pens that Emery was trying to kick some
shots out behind the play in front of him where oddly enough was an open Senator
One times a fluke but I've seen it at least three times since
not that he doesnt leave a few at his feet or in the slot but even most of those
are picked up quickly by a team mate and sent the other way
Is that the plan or is he just so big everything is bound to hit some part of him ?
The other thing I've noticed is Heatley has been a little shaky with the puck this series
like its a little faster than he's used to or he's working through a batch of whiffy sticks
who knows ? I'm sure he'll be as good as his luck was on that Sens goal in the last game

allllllright then about 50% of TSN and Sportsnet commentators are incredulous
at what the Sens have so far accomplished while the other half are making space on the band wagon but the thing they all have in common is they are all Leaf fans with a healthy dose of
reality sickness.
I asked this before and received no answer so once again
Why is Ryan Miller viewed as an elite goalie ?
Tim Connelly and Afinaganov have got to be the most entertaining stick handlers
in the league today and that Vanik guy has got more moves than a snake on sandpaper
But all it takes is a bone crusher from a Sens D-Man to make them realize
that this is a mans game and being cute only gets you into the dance
it doesn't mean you get to take home the girl or in this case Stanley..........

well ,a few of my predictions seem to have gone the way of the Whalers
but Ott and Buf I got right as well as the Ducks didn't think the wings had it in them
so the final four I'm thinking The Sens in five and Ducks in six
By the way why is Miller viewed as an elite goalie
his numbers don't show him to be better than Emery by a country mile
slightly better in reg season if anything
oh well we'll know better by next week ..till then

Wow The Ducks are pounding Vancouver into the ice
just saw Luongo set up Willie Mitchell for a bone crusher
,can't believe The Rangers took another game " right on Henry "
The Sens are a machine ,everybody workin their jocks off
hope theres another gear for the finals {if and when}
Any of you long suffering Sens fans waiting for that Sami Salo give away
or Lalime brain fart ? yeah me too but I can deal with that disappointment when it
doesn't happen They know how to lose without coming apart at the seems now

Space Lord Mutha Mutha ,nut
What exactly are you ingesting out there ?
The only two thinks realistically undecided in the east
is how long before Ott and Buffalo get at each other
for the conference final and when Avery implodes
I don't think The Canucks have a hope in hell out west
they might not even get past Dallas ,though I think they will
but whoever they get in round two is gonna chew them up
and spit them out ,which is sad because the only way for them
to get at Calgary is in the conference finals
Awesome hockey played last night
The Sens made it through without any serious injury
aside from Eaves but he'll be back for round two
to try and break back into the line up
After watching Crosby in the east
and Luongo out west I had a major brain fart
and imagined that those two will be meeting for the cup
in the next few years

first off nut ,its not your spelling ,its your coherency I'm having trouble following
anyway another smoker in San Jose but watching both Nash and SJ
I don't think they have enough defence for either Detroit or Anaheim
and Vancouver may not have the goal scoring to beat them
I didn't know the Wings were so deep that they could let Bertuzzi sit
that will change by round two I'm sure
No much being said about the Rangers and Atl yet
other than Avery making a difference and if thats what NY is gonna ride
I don't think they will be around after round two
Tampa Bay ,all the eggs in one basket or what ?
gotta think that Marty's got at least one shut out in him
I think only him and Bobby Lu has the ability to win a few games by themselves
Hasek and Kipprosoff being just a step behind in miracles
I'm looking for Therein to lose his players respect and his job by training camp
calling players out has been going on for a long time
but usually its by highly revered coaches on veteran players
I'm not sure the Penguins are mature enough to handle it
after playing so well in the regular season and being praised nightly by every one
Then having a Lemairre groupie dissing them in the press can't be good
After one week of playoffs some teams are building momentum
while the rest are constructing excuses to be presented next week..
Got some advice for a few teams
Calgary ...Wake up
Pittsburgh ....Shut up
Atlanta.......Whats up ?
The Wild......Give up
T Bay......Rest up
Isles.....Throw up
Buffalo....**** up
Canucks.......Back up
Dallas....Pack up
Detroit .....Save up
Rangers......Look up
Anaheim......Stand up
Devils.......Sit up
SJ....Heads up
Nashville....Pay up
Ottawa.....Keep it up

I would agree that their are a lot of loud mouths in the history of hockey
but most were ignored by smart refs and not a lot shown of instant replays
all season long I've seen Sid showboating his skills with unnecessary dives to poke one in
embellishing bumps and constantly yapping and its only his second year
Hockey players are known for being classy ,He'll learn from this beating though
Corvo's been skating good lately time for Vermette and Shaeffer to get some points
a month ago Muckler picked up Bowleg Saprikin at the deadline
Ottawas news paper went apeshit and said he blew it again
today they are calling him a genius for having a 15 goal scorer in reserve
as well as 1a goalie keeping him company and every other move thats paying off now
Gawd i hate reporters
So Smack ,is Sutter getting behind the bench any time soon ?
desperate times call for desperate measures
How about them freaking Islanders ,I thought that might be the only eastern sweep
Can you imagine if ?
Time for Atl to make a statement ...if they can
Man is Luongo huge in the net ,especially in his home blues
Tucker just bogeid 13 ,,oops wrong thread

Man I would like to feel sorry for The Flames but they're doing it to themselves
aside from the Sharks /Predators I'm finding the west really boring hockey to watch
I thought The Nucks and Stars would be more entertaining
The Pens Colby {the rat }Armstrong loves catching people looking at their feet
Its clean but scary to watch ,what goes around comes around
I'm loving MacAmmond and Comrie's fight and character
even Alfie in game 1 wrestled with Big George during a scrum
a lot of the things that shut down Ottawa the last few years
are being handled much better this time around
I like many million hockey fans think Sid is the best their is these days
but man I wish he'd grow up a little and stop whining
its disgraceful and not a bit annoying

Whew eeeee what a night
five and a half hours ? what the hell was that snoozefest all about ?
The Sharks won but Peter Forsberg looked awesome for Nashville
The Ducks and Minny are in for a long tough haul
and did anyone see Crosby whining or Whitney limping ?
I think I figured out how Pitt got so many power plays this year
what a bunch of babies , and I don't care what anybody says
he deliberately tried to carry the puck in with his body
tucking his leg under himself he's not stupid
I've seen that a thousand times "score any way you can"
and agree its just being competitive with win any way you can
but to take a little hissy fit when its denied ,that's just sad
Is that how he wants his first goal to be remembered ?
anyway fook him and the Penguin he road in on
Sens looked pretty good
The A train caught Roberts a few times which was cheered mightily
Neils goal was crazy ,gotta love when a grinder scores
My fave post game quote
"for a lot of us it was our 1st playoff game but we won't use that for an excuse"
Guess what sucky boy ,You just did

OK nut ,no more woulda shoulda coulda
pick a series or even a game but for fook sakes pick
Darren McCarty's got the best playoff haircut so far
I'm getting psyched for this
CTV's still talking about the Leafs ....what a joke
TSN's got them for hockey people
Has San Jose or Vancouver's playoff successes ever lived up to expectations
are their any left coast Leaf fans calling your team chokers
Hunt them down and buy them a Kokanee

No excuses and no over looking anyone
Pittsburgh was amazing this year with those young guys
and could win this series if their 3rd and 4th line can be productive
if their inexperience doesn't become noticeable
if their vets can stay healthy ,stealthy and wise
For me their are too many ifs coupled with the fact
that their season has already been a huge success
that might be enough for them this year
Me ? I'll follow my foolish heart once again
and believe THIS IS OUR YEAR

nut ,you gotta rule out eight teams immediately
For me in the east Isles ,Devils ,Pens and the Thrashers are the early exits
Meaning Tampa would be moving on to the second round
to meet Buffalo and soften them up for Ottawa
ya'see nut TBay and NJ are playing each other this week
so I don't think they're your eastern final teams
I don't know much about the west
but I do know the goaltending from team to team is pretty equal
I don't think Calgary has got 4 wins in them{hope I'm wrong}
same with the Canucks "elite goalie average team" {again hope i'm wrong}
unless Nasland gets it together I see them gone in the second to Anaheim
San Jose knocks off Nashville and Detroit
eventually losing to the Ducks who meet the Sens for the cup
I have a perfect record picking the Sens
I haven't been right in ten years

I like the TBay /Devils matchup I think the Lightning could upset them
but I don't think the Isles stand a chance
Anybody could win between Atl and the Rangers
I think the Thrashers blow it in six
Sens and Pens is gonna be wild hopefully depth is gonna be a factor
and Ottawa explodes in bunches and puts some old ghosts to bed
I don't have a clue whats happening out west
here in Leaf Nation I'm lucky to get 6 Sens games a year televised
so I'm as happy as Harold Ballard the Leafs missed the playoffs
I'm guaranteed at least 4 games but I'm hoping for 16 wins to watch
If not ,next year I'm holding out

I'm a little shaky on my pins today
I just mumble to myself "it makes no sense"
Its my only defence I'm ashamed to say ,again
I can't help it ,I can't make it go away
It starts before I discard my bed
it takes the place of a bullet through the head
A litany in cadence my statement of lucidity
my grip on the insanity and blinders to pain
its my escape to Graceland my quick getaway
its everything I think but am too afraid to say
It comes and it goes , rhythmic sedatives that encourages the toes
start tapping and relaxing ,open the mind and charge into that world of words
fire yeah a fantastical verb repeat all those crazy things you thought you heard
before you know it the spark has been struck and you're down and out for the count
and you too will mumble to yourself "it makes no sense"
In my defence its how we play the game

Shannon Hoon
I don't feel the suns comin' out today
It's staying in, it's gonna find another way.
As I sit here in this misery,
I don't think I'll ever (no Lord) see the sun from here.
And oh as I fade away,
They'll all look at me and say, and they'll say,
"Hey look at him! I'll never live that way."
But that's okay, they're just afraid to change.
And when you feel life ain't worth living
You've got to stand up and
Take a look around you look up way to the sky.
And when your deepest thoughts are broken,
Keep on dreaming boy, cause when you stop dreamin' it's time to die.
And as we all play parts of tomorrow,
some ways we'll work and other ways we'll play.
But I know we can't all stay here forever,
So I want to write my words on the face of today.
And then they'll paint it
And oh as I fade away,
They'll all look at me and say, they'll say,
"Hey look at him and where he is these days."
When life is hard, you have to change.

speaking of nuts ,what a night for positioning
Leafs stop hearts to beat the worst team in the league
The Habs get a better grip as the Isles give a last gasp
and how much does that extra point in New Jersey mean ?
Schedule looks pretty good now

In with the early dawn
Moving right along
I couldn’t buy an eye full of sleep
And in the aching night
Under saddled eyes
I was not received
built with the stolen parts
A telephone in my heart
Someone get me a priest
To put my mind to bed
This ringing in my head
Is this a cure or is this a disease
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life now
Show me how to live
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life now
Show me how to live
In the afterbirth
On the quiet earth
Let this things remind you
You thought you made a man
You better think again
Before my role defines you
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me a life
Now show me how to live
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life now
Show me how to live
And in your waiting hands
I will land
And roll out of my skin
And in your final hours I will stand
Ready to begin
Ready to begin
Ready to begin
Ready to begin
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life now
Show me how to live
Nail in my hand
From my creator
You gave me life now
Show me how to live

Get you history books out Tech
Philly ,Buffalo and Washington all went to the dance in recent memory
without bringing home the prize AND President cup winners rarely
are tops in the playoffs . Dallas being the only winners of both in the last ten years
Quit hiding behind negativity and Hooter girls and wear your Leaf colors with pride

I'm getting pretty tired of everyone saying they choked in the playoffs
as if it happens every year to them and only them
Every team aside from Carolina lost the Cup race last year
does that make them chokers J-Rock ?
I agree that the deal for Gerber was ill planned but at this time of the year
it is more than worth it to have a back up that can start games for you
Pick any team and imagine what would happen if their starter came up lame next Saturday
Who's backing up Luongo or Brodeur or Miller in Buffalo ?
anything can happen in the playoffs better safe than sorry
even if it costs 3.5 million to be safe it leaves less room for error
"They choked " what an idiotic remark
28 teams a year choke that's what you're saying
I left out Toronto because they are normally the ones saying it
while the sheep just repeat it

Did anyone notice that this is the first year
The Sens have legitimate NHL playoff goaltending ?
Emery and Gerber and as deep as they've ever been

My mothers seventy five and very much alive
she hums to herself behind everyone else
and still rises at five ,she helped build this country
she sees the need in foreign land
but feels the deceit in her own hand
when compassion turns out to be her money
she given since we were all natives
told we all had to pay for our eventual someday
I can hear her now in her old blue house dress
"Its a hard life I must confess
when you feel like you contributed to giving it all away"
Don't get me wrong ,I want to share
lend a hand and pretend I care
I just don't want to give it all away.
This ain't no protest song about all that's wrong
its simply my lay of the land before its all gone
my little something I just had to say
The Governor General has a heart
proud to be one of us
easily discards the obvious
the kitchens full its a crowded floor
someone should recognize it and shut the door

hey J Rock I remember that "simulator"
it didn't factor in anything that eventually happened
didn't you have the oil pissing all over themselves in round one ?
For it to have a hope of being even close to right
you have to figure in injuries and team depth right down to goaltenders
Where would Jersey be if Marty blew a ring during his pregame dump ?

Can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to
Oh well
When I talked to God, I knew he'd understand
He said stick by me and I'll be your guiding hand
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to
Oh well

ever notice how some comments leave you more confused
than the infinite possibilities of who's going to get 7th and 8th ?

There is a collection of people who can't bridge the distance
lay down their resistance or insistence to fight
religion spawn passions once interwoven
preach intolerance as a definition of rights
I'd like to visit the purgatory the hippies called peace
get lost in their flowers ,grow a beard in my sleep
if ever this happens and I'm absent in reply
don't forget a little you is still coloring my eyes
Don't sell your soul for that life full of holes
spend it on mirrors and shiny brass poles
Do that and spot check over your shoulder
past misdirection to things you don't know
Till you find the road that once held its sway
left choices and freedom decided your days
when that was your right to face me and sigh
saying that someday would someday arrive
There's a problem with distance that deceives its views
with alters and old pews and needs to improve
Its all channel news I'm sure you've all heard
the peculiar indifference to God in His word
Can we not worship in awe of people and place
describe what we saw when coloring our own face
gaze in wide wonder all our cares far below
look in a little closer even maybe say hello
Don't sell your soul for that life full of holes
spend it on mirrors and shiny brass poles
Do that and spot check over your shoulder
past misdirection to things you don't know
Till you find where the road that once held its sway
left choices and freedom decided your days
when that was your right to face me and sigh
say someday would someday surely arrive
