Before fb you never heard people complaining about how so and so rejected their friend request or so and so didn't " like " my comment , etc

People interacted in person and didn't wonder if everything that came out of their mouth was " liked " or not.

That's all well and fine but once someone has been cheated on , whether it was with a platonic friend or not, most will not want to take the chance .

The text looks fine to me.

The only suggestion I would make is when you do put up new pix, you might consider getting rid of the leather jacket one - I used to have pix wearing a leather jacket and was told it looked " cheezy " . Who knew ?

I know I'm not the Fonz and am not trying to be - I just like leather jackets .

Also, your age restriction only goes up to 2 years younger than yourself but down to 35 - some women wont like that one bit. Just sayin.

Wolfluvr - thanks for your post : it's nice to hear from someone who UNDERSTANDS rather than someone who really has no clue since they've never found themselves in our situation for any length of time so they get on the blah, blah cheerleader rant UGH !

I hope you find a solution to your situation. I'm considering putting an ad on Craigslist seeking friends to hang out with - surely I can't be the only one in my city going through this !

Just how many here have become depressed over loneliness, and how many have actually thought of suicide?


I'm going through this at this very moment actually... I'm not considering suicide but I sure as feck understand fully why people do it ... I'm all alone right now and I'm not just talking about being single - all my friends have either moved away or are too busy to hang out anymore. I understand , I don't blame them, but this has been going on for some time now and I'm just so tired of it. It's not like you can just go down the street to some " instant pal " vending machine and problem solved.

It's a beautiful , sunny day today - amazing for this time of year ... and yet I have nobody to enjoy it with... So, what do I do ? I go get some alcohol to numb the pain for the zillionth time... but ya know what ? It doesn't really work.

Sure, I feel a bit better at first once the buzz kicks in...but then it does an about face and I end up feeling worse, so I drink more hoping to numb myself...vicious circle...

Anyway, just wanted to vent I guess

Look, I know what it's like to have the type of personality that most don't find appealling - TRUST ME !

As a result, I can go through long stretches of being single and lonely.

However, when I do find someone who likes me for who I truly am I feel glad to have found someone who likes the real me.

That's WHY the ones who want their school to ADD the religious part as opposed to the rest who don't should have to pay for that EXTRA .

Actually , it's 78.2% according to my " Predict-a-Wed " calculator.

30 is actually a good age to find someone who wasn't so quick to jump into marriage at too young an age and is actually a decent person.

However, most decent people get scooped up very young.

However again, they sometimes marry not so decent people and end up single later on.

However , they usually have kids and are a bit screwed up by the experience , what's known as " baggage ".

So, it's not about whether you will be alone for life by chance but rather by CHOICE, depending on what comes along.

Nitemonger, I understand what you did and I like that you admit that it was out of spite more than you thinking the woman had a right to know.

The retaliation aspect reminds me of a friend who had a "sort of " relationship with a woman who kept him a secret due to her circumstances ( her and hubby lived together for the kids's sake but hadn't slept in the same room for 10 plus years ).

He waited for 3 plus years for her to get out of her marriage ( initially she told him she was going to get out “ soon “ but felt “ stuck “ ), so they could finally get together. Within that nearly 4 year period he tried to let go many times but kept getting sucked back in because ... they worked together.

He finally let go about a month ago and he constantly tells me that what angers him now is that while he is very sad and feels ripped off that he waited so long for nothing , she seems perfectly fine as if it doesn't bother her a bit. He says his blood boils every time he witnesses her laughing away with someone.

He says he often thinks about getting revenge by spilling the beans to everyone she knows about what went on between them.

I tell him to take the high road by just letting it go and eventually he should feel better, but it’s easy for me to say.
