Sorry guys and gals...We can not make this event....Stupid work!!!! I wont be in Columbus until tomorrow morning..... For those of you who are not going up to the Mansfield event tomorrow.... How bout Planks pizza and some beers??? You know how to get a hold of us ..... I will be up all night tonight message or call if you want to go. Oh yeah and BTW I need the responses to the "Private" event this October. For those of you who were mailed or handed invitations please send them back ASAP!!!! (Wayne~ You are still invited I just havent sent yours out yet)

My wish is for ^ to have a wonderful time on vacation with her family...... My other wish is that people would stay on topic on the forums. If he is lying then that is on him and his conscience. Why bother yourselves with it? I guess my wish at the time was for people to quit lying and for my friends to quit falling into traps of liars. Which is why I went out of forum topic on this one. I think my other wish would be ... For this site to allow members to air the really bad and ugly about people they have come to know and now need to steer clear of. I dont mean the little he said , she said or the bickering about things like "he/she didnt call" or "he/she didnt pay for dinner" stuff. I mean the really bad ones like abusers, users, liars, cheaters and scam artists all the way up to the "on parole" convicted felons. I know a lot of people on this site, many of which email me asking if I know other members or my opinions of those members. I get so frustrated when my friends get drawn in by those people and hurt.

Today I would wish that I didn't find out that my mom's liver is riddled with cancer Wasnt it just about 2 years ago that she passed away??? Dont your remember??? You were out at that bar in Painesville, Pam and I were both there.... You even used her cell phone to call home and thats when you got the horrible news.... Wow thats amazing she died, was re-incarnated and now has liver cancer, she has terrible luck!

I regret to inform all of you that I will NOT be hosting camping events this year. I work nights now and with the “big” private event I am planning for fall I do not have the time or money. I understand that Plantinumfish and Bethy2 have a few events planned at the party barn this summer and hope you will be able to attend those. I am very sorry if I have disappointed any of you. work Xmas party and a fun night at the VIP WOW getting some bits and pieces firing in my memory..... LMAO what a night. Wouldnt it be fun if we could find John and the rest of the gang and do it all over? Bet we would all have a better time cause we wouldnt have to watch what we said..... I think that had something to do with Esther the beast and my departure. She didnt like how well I was liked in Columbus, or that I was invited down there. HHHMMM Thought she would have learned you could get more flies with honey then poo. Nope she didnt, now even the people who once liked her no longer do..... HA HA HA HA KARMA! ANYWAY.... We do need to get together again, sorry I cant be down there for this. Maybe you will just have to come up here to witness some vows.... I will keep ya posted! Hope all you Kentuckians have a great time and continue to get together on a regular basis.... Besides its nice to have more than one friend you could call in the middle of the night to bail your butt out! And trust me you will find good friends on POF!

Just beware of the Ta Ta's and the Cincy crowd (yes word of you has gotten this far north) LOL...... You will have way too much fun with them and could possibly get into some good ole trouble with them too! I think they should have a success stories for friends too, not just matches. I think I have a success story of my own, 14 months and counting with my match but some of the people I have met on here have become more like my family. I think they deserve the success stories as well! (I know several of you I would rather have at my wedding then some of my family and those who do come, I am sure we will have fun together while most of my family sits in the corner or leaves early) Love you guys! (you know who you are too!)

Joni^ I like the way you think!!! I used to be all bah humbug but for some reason this year I am all about it. For about month now I have been buying gifts here and there and I find myself so much more cheery, even singing all the stupid songs from the Christmas station. I am living now between Brunswick and Columbus and found myself bummed on the 12th when I came home to Brunswick because the Christmas station up here doesnt start until after Thanksgiving (well the last time I checked anyway). I will be putting up 2 trees this year one for both homes, not sure when they will go up as it is a matter of timing, time whats that? Previously Dennis wrote: We use to play a came on Christmas when all our family use to gather on Christmas eve. Forgot what it was called, but everyone would put a gift in the center fo the room. We would all sit around it and draw numbers to see what order we went in. Then you would pick your gift, open it and you had the option of keeping it or stealing someone else's gift that has already been openned. That was so much fun! Now we all live a million miles apart so haven't played that game in some time. Dennis I think we should have some type of POF Christmas party and do this, but put the white elephant spin on it and bring unwanted/regifted gifts. You should host this at your house....LOL

^^^^ j.j.j.jerry that was a good one! glames Listen I am sure you have heard the statement "if you can’t take the heat get out of the kitchen". All I am saying is if you want to post and comment on threads be prepared to take the good with the bad. Don’t let that make you afraid of posting or commenting. Until people know you on here they will eat you alive in the threads sometimes. Then you say "how do they get to know me". Well I will tell you post, post, post and post some more. See I did the same thing just sat and hoped my knight in shining armor would just happen to come across my profile, email me and the rest would be a love story....BOY WAS I WRONG!!!! I started posting and some times I was eaten alive but in the long run I ended up earning the respect of many and making some of the best friends a person could ask for. I started going to several events and then even started hosting my own events. By doing that I did end up meeting the person I will marry (hopefully next year, we haven’t really set a date yet). If you get yourself out there people will take notice of you, if nothing else you will make many friends, don’t just sit in the corner of your profile and hope all will be right in the world. As many on here have commented and joked about, poor SPELLING and not using proper ENGLISH are both a HUGE turn off to men and women alike. Do you really think that a woman will take you seriously if you can’t spell or write? Now you could be the most educated person, I don’t know, but poor spelling and grammar will make you seem uneducated. Now no one is perfect all the time and I know I am terrible at spelling but what I do is write it in a word document, spell check it then copy and paste it in the thread, maybe that could help you. I agree with Diesel66 you need to be for trying to find creative ways to stay connected. I also agree with many of the other posters about their ideas. I understand you dont want to just plank down in front of a TV or computer, that just sucks the life out of you and do you really get quality time with someone when they are engrossed like that? If he is really into computers dont just shun the idea, maybe you could find a local YMCA or Rec center who offer some type of computer classes (other then games) you could take together, who knows maybe taking some type of classes like that will spawn the next Bill Gates in him. What about some type of martial arts, woodworking, home repair, car/motorcycle repair or maybe horse back riding lessons? Home depot offers some Saturday classes like building bird houses to how to install wood floors. There are many local programs that offer classes as well, everywhere from kick boxing to nature hikes. I would suggest both of you sit down together and both of you make lists of things you like and ideas of things to do together. Look over both lists then he finds something on your list he would like to do and you do that same with his list. You may find you have more in common then you thought. Good luck with staying connected and remember it's not about what you do, it's about who you do it with!

Sorry guys we have the girls and we will be in Brunswick to trick or treat. HOWEVER......... I have finally gotten my authorization to take my state board exams....... I will be taking them in Columbus on the 11th...... And how convienent that I will be headed to Columbus on the 7th for an extended weekend AND....AND....AND My Birthday is November 9th ........ Now I sit back and think of my birthday last year, NONE of my Columbus friends came up for my birthday party....hhhmmmm WONDER what im gonna do for my birthday this year..... Any suggestions?

Like TAT said, you will make some wonderful friends by attending the events, the friends I have made on here I consider family! Think about hosting an event in your area (thats how I met my fish)

OK gals and gents….. I have been placed in charge of the slide show that will be presented at my graduation (from nursing school for those of you who do not know me)… Any who, I know how clever and funny some of you can be and am turning to you in my hour(s) of need…MUST TO BE DONE BY FRIDAY OCTOBER 3…. There will be approximately 10 minutes set aside for this presentation which needs to be presented in power point. What I would like to do (and have almost no idea how to do it) is show several pictures of everyone over the last year and have several slides with words/sayings on them (boy do we have some doosies written down ~ Quotes from instructors and such). All of this needs to be set to music; I would like to include several song snippets I.E another one bites the dust during the segments where I have pics of people sleeping in class and maybe something like you’ve got a friend in me with pics of people helping each other study. What I need from you aside from general thoughts and ideas is: Songs suggestions How to use only segments of songs Any additional tips or suggestions on the use of power point Anything you can do to help will be appreciated VERY VERY VERY much! Jen you now have posting rights..... For those of you who couldnt OR WOULDNT come out.... We had such an enjoyable weekend, this by far was the best one yet! Unless we find another facility, I am not so sure we will be having campouts next year. Due to the way I was/we were treated by the staff at the last two events I will no longer use this campground. I did speak with some of the locals and got some very interesting suggestions on other places, I will be checking in to them after my finals are over... And NO I never got a chance to crack a book, so no studying other then the "hands on" practice I got. I am glad all turned out well with that situation! Barb, thanks for the kinds words and the boost of confidence about my nursing skills, when you hear it, it makes a difference! Robyn, thanks for the congratulations...You should have come out, the weather was beautiful! Nikki, you know we love u too.... Thanks for getting me in trouble with mom, I forgot to send her a text and she yelled at me! Jen, I am glad you came out, and you didnt keep any of us up snoring so all was good...Thanks for being a great cabin mate! Also thank you for my good luck bear, that was very thoughtful and I appreciate it very much! (I am gonna need it too!) To everyone who came out, thank you all so much for making this the best trip yet. I got to relax and enjoy myself and not have to play den mother for once.....I hope you know I consider you my extended family and I am so happy you were all there to share in my moment, one that will be in my memory forever! Cant wait to see all of you again at the next event! For now I need to take my eyes off the ring and get them in the books! After finals I can stare all I want and start making the "big" event plans...

This is a slow moving system ~ it's almost stationary. It will be moving up from the south and southwest as a warm front on Friday and end as a cold front early Sunday. And I will say again Being a weather man is the only job where you can be right only 50% of the time and still keep your job.... Quit being wimps, it may miss us and if it doesnt then we will have fun in the rain!
