I try not to base my life on other people... they are ment to enhance your life, not to be your life. Lots of people get into a relationship as an incomplete person expecting their partner to complete them, or "fill in the void" as it were (yeah, I like it when I talk dirty, too!). Thats the wrong attitude... you have to be totally honest and express yourself as you really are, in your entirety as an individual. This concept of honest self-expression is the only way to truly exist in reality. It is the only way to relate, or be related to by others. Anywthing less is just a case of "monkey see, monkey do." And even if you have some flaw with yourself, the only way to cure it is to accept it. And the only way to do that is to know yourself and express yourself in an honest fashion. So is there a special person out there for me?--Yes, but only if I know who I am and what I need in terms of a relationship and understanding. Otherwise, I'm chasing my own mental reflection and misconception of who someone truly is, and ultimately... who I am He who knows himself, knows others.

I don't think it's possible, so my answer is no. The only thing you could be falling in love with is a mere illusion, reflection, or construct of your own mind. In other words, you're chasing a misconception... you are falling in love with the concept of being in love with someone rather than loving the person for who they truly are... and you won't know whether you are in love or not until you actually meet them face to face and have known them for quite some time. Old people walking hand-in-hand down in the park -- they are in love. Two geeks typing on the internet are just two geeks typing on the internet. Simple as that. Sorry if that sounded hypocritical, seeing as how I am writing this over the internet and all...
