Belly Fat - Help any tips on how to lose it, thanks
Posted: 2/13/2008 6:14:30 PM
I read this in shape last week so I am supposing it is true, but it suggest msa's or monosaturated fats. You can find them in almonds, avacados, and a few other foods just look them up on google. My problem is the hips and the thighs so it did not sink in all the foods but maybe that will help you. They suggest that these in moderation help you loose belly fat.

Anyone else doing the new day your way challenge?
Posted: 1/20/2008 1:46:09 AM
Hey soulbaby it is a challenge that kmart has got going on to loose weight for 12 weeks. It is too late to join in the competition but you can join the blog, just go to kmarts web site and scroll down to the bottom and look for a red (I think) icon that says new day and click on that it will take you to the page to join in.

I too have the same battles that you do, especially the battle of the bulge. I do agree with Scorpio though you are making excuses to make yourself feel better and I know because I was there before the first of the year when I decided to quit making excuses for my weight and that I was the only one who could do something about it. I took a weight loss challenge that makes me hold myself accountable so maybe that is what you need to challenge yourself. I require myself to workout minimum of 30 minutes a day, no excuses. I too am a single mom but what we have to realize is that if we do not set an active example for our children then they are going to be in the same place that we are in years to come. Go join weight watchers you get the most important stuff in the first meeting and then you really do not have to go back if you can follow the system on your own. I would suggest buying the complete food companion (you can get last years right now for a reduced price, same stuff) and a points calculator (it is just easier than trying to use the card). All this should cost you about 60 bucks tops. You said you go to class in the evening try parking farther away and walking further to class, I know it is cold but it will make you walk faster and get your heart rate up. I own just about every excercise DVD collection that has been a fad in the last few years and I still continue to do my Billy Banks Tae Bo basic workout on VHS ( you can find it on ebay or sometimes in thrift stores. Come to the conclusion that I come to if you do not like what you see in the mirror looking back at you, you are the only one who can change it!

Now that I am through preaching if you need someone to hold you accountable then by all means leave a comment and I will be happy to support you.

Good luck and keep your head up! CM

Different fitness standards?
Posted: 8/23/2007 5:34:47 AM
Here is my opinion on this matter I know that I am not fit enough to save someones life, though I am working toward my own fitness goals, why would I put someone elses life in danger just because I have a dream of being say a fire fighter. This is what I would think first there is a child trapped at the top floor of a 15 story building and I am suppose to climb a ladder to that 15th floor 1.I am not scared of but do not go out of my way to get that high up in the air 2. It would take me longer than someone say 50 pounds lighter to get up to that 15th floor, so would it be fair for me to assume that they should lower the standards for me, by no means. America is so set on giving everyone an oppourtunity to not sue them for discrimination that we have forgot about what is really important, standards!

A question about Weight Lifting (Weight Training)
Posted: 8/23/2007 5:17:33 AM
There are also many books out there about weight training and if you are worried about him maybe you could buy him one as a gift. My mom knows that I enjoy studying fitness, no I am no buff but I do know what I need to do to get that way, anyway she got me the abs diet for women and I really enjoy the workout plan in it. They also have a mens edition and it lays out the plan for you if you are just starting. I have only been following his muscle building plan for a little over a week and I can already see a significant difference in myself. Even if not this book maybe one of the guys that are really into fitness can suggest one that they used to start out. Good luck to you and him as well.

Hey TL040 I tried to message you but you have restrictions so that I cant. Here are a few of my favs
Chocopeanut : to the previous mix add two scoops of chocolate protein, 2 tbls of peanut butter, and a banana
Orangecicle: Add 1/4 cup of mandrine oranges with two scoops of vanilla protein and a cap full of vanilla
Carrot Cake: Add 2 tbls of cream cheese, 2 scoops of vanilla protein, cap of vanilla, add splenda to taste
Peanut Butter and Jam: 4 large whole strawberries, 2 Tbls Peanut Butter, 2 scoops vanilla protein
I can not remember if I put protein in the other post but this is the amount of protein I use in these shakes not in addition if I put it in the previous post.

Natural Remedies for Irritable Bowel Syndrom
Posted: 8/19/2007 6:37:01 PM
OK I am not positive that this is what I had but I do know that some of the symptoms that are mentioned is much of what I was going through. I started doing two protein shakes and two small meals a day and have never been more regular in my life. I credit this to two things 1. The protein shake combination and 2. Kashi Cereal. Here is waht I use in my protein shakes : 2 Scoops vanilla protein 2 tbls each flaxseed, oats, olive oil (except when using peanut butter) and plain vanilla. I then add in various other items depending on the mood I am in fruits and such if you want some good smoothies just send me a message and I can hook you up. With this plan i have lost 6 lbs in a week and feel better than I have since I before I had my son. Hope this helps.

The Abs Diet by David Zinczenko
Posted: 8/18/2007 12:09:52 AM
Newguy,

Thanks for your take on the book but for someone like me who use to be a lot more fit than my present state and needed something to remind you of the principles of the way life needs to be to keep you from getting in an unhealthy state, it is beneficial. I use it for the recipes as well as the work out plan. It works for me and I do incorporate the olive oil.

For whoever asked how do you use the olive oil, there are many ways:

Since I have conciderably restricted my diet from fried foods I use it in my protein shakes never even know it is there and you do not need much just a little so it works perfectly adding it this way. Also should I have the craving for a fried food which i have learned that totally restricting myself from anything is just asking for disaster (notice I said considerably restricted) I will use it instead of the unhealthy (in my opinion) oils such as veg. oil.

In any case as was said earlier in this thread it is a lifestyle change and not a diet that gets you where you need to be so you have to be willing to make changes.

Thanks to all responses especially you Calvin that is what I wanted to know. I do enjoy the recipes as well. I started on Monday and am at this point down 5 so I think I can stick with this and though it says that you can wait the two weeks before starting the workout routine I did start it on Tuesday and combined Monday and Tuesday and Wed really felt the burn, it was great.

Has anyone tried this diet and if so how did it work for you? I have been reading the book and started using some of the methods that it implies. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced it and if you followed it to a tee or if you can vary a bit and still loose.

Anyone in Weght Watchers here??
Posted: 6/21/2007 10:35:31 PM
wpg,

WW is not just for people that want to loose a lot of weight, if you read anything on WW it is not a diet but a lifestyle change. I went on it a couple of years back and los about 50 pounds and got prego so I stopped going. I however would not have had to stop going because the way that you eat there was a lot better than the way I ate after I left. If you do make a healthy change in your diet and keep it up you should not have to worry about keeping the weight off. In my opinion and I think most people would agree there is something magic about going to those meetings. Once you loose the weight you are a lifetime member and yes it is 100% free to go to the meetings and I would highly suggest that you keep them up.

Judgy,

Thanks you have inspired me to do it again. I am going to sign back up on my next day off. Muahhhhh! Good Luck! Keep Up the good work!

Was I Wrong?
Posted: 6/21/2007 10:26:17 PM
CA,

I would strongly advise to not go into foster care unless you have a very strong marriage. A lot of the children that come into foster care have severe problems that only arise later after the child has been placed and God bless you for not doing anything that involves children while you are having marital problems, so many couples think that will fix there problem (having a child). I commend you and your husband for not looking at the child end until you as a couple are strong. I have lifted the block so that you can message me. Have a great day.

CA,

I know this forum is not about this but I know your pain on the child thing. Though i know have chidren for a long time I was just like you. Have you thought about foster care? I read that you are in Canada do they have foster care there? I adopted my oldest son from the state and now my niece that could not have children has a adorable baby girl that is in her custody. If you want to know anything about it just drop me a line and I will let you know what I know. It is really a good system just gets a bad rep because of so many children going into custody on a weekly basis.

Serious question about hula-hoops
Posted: 6/14/2007 11:55:27 PM
This is kinda off the subject of the hula hoop but kinda on the subject as well. I was getting bored with kick boxing and really did not have the room for one of those standing punching bag things so I bought a tetter ball and hung it from a tree to work on my puches and kicks. Anyone who wants to say that that is not a work out ought to try it. I get to have fun with the kids, learn more balance, and exercise all at once.

Something About the Bigger Ones
Posted: 6/14/2007 7:39:22 PM
I have found a great sight that is free that I have found a lot of people looking to loose weight, it is a boost because we are all there for the same thing and knowing that other people are going through the same thing as you are. The site is www.my-calorie-counter.com, if it does not come up then goggle it under diet journal. Also as far as work out go to www.beachbody.com all of their work outs are great from the ones that I have tried and I am only missing two of the sets so. I really like hip hop abs and yoga booty ballet. After going to their site and reading about them look on ebay some times you can find them cheaper there sometimes not. Hope this helps and good luck!

Child that is facinated with strangulation
Posted: 5/4/2007 2:23:47 PM
Thanks guys for all of your help and yes he has been diagnosed with bp sorry thought that I mentioned it. He is on lithium and ritalin. I do know from the short time that I dealt with the bio mom that her mother was bi polar and the mother was too drunk to be tested. He does have anger issues to the point of some days I donot knnow how I am going to go on rasing him and keep my sanity. I as you Rocker now take two different meds to deal with him, one regular and one to deal with really bad days. This is from a person that bas what he before nI adopted him would rarely even take a asprin. I hate meds and thought that I could deal with it but I was sadly mistaken. As far what he faced before he came to live with me it is hard to say. i do know that that the older lady who had him also had 6 other foster children so it is hard to say what he seen. Then there is the time that he spent with his bio mom when who knows what he seen. As far as bi polar some of you with older children can you please tell me what the best form of disapline that you have found for unacceptable behaviors. Spankings does not work for him and it is almost impossible without sitting on him to keep him in time out.
Thanks again guys!

Child that is facinated with strangulation
Posted: 5/3/2007 1:58:29 AM
My 5 year old that I adopted in November of last year is fascinated by strangulation and I am not sure what to make of it. He started by putting belts around his 3 foot Bob the builder stuffed toy and now every time i turn around something else has a rope around the neck of it. I was cleaning the boys play room yesterday and found a plastic animal that he had tied up with the string from a mini blind. Then today when he come home from school I had a note from his teacher that he had taken the rope they use to line up to go to the play ground and tied it around his neck. When he first came into my home as a foster child when he would get angry he would go straight for the throat, then for awile he showed no signs of this now it is back and stronger than ever. I worry deeply about this because I also have a younger son (granted he is almost as tall as my five year old) he still looks up to the older one as a older brother. I have him set up to see a psychatrist (spelling?) on the 17th but was just wondering if anyone else has ever seen this in a child this young? Thanks in advance for any responses!

A child on the way
Posted: 4/28/2007 1:33:18 AM
I think that it is outstanding that you want to raise your child but you are young and you do have your whole life ahead of you. Try to work it out with her for your childs sake if not work out a friendship to where you can both be in the childs life. you may have to suck up a lot of pride but that is your baby. Obviously you want to be a good dad and that is honorable but unless she just does not want the baby you are going to play heck getting it. No matter what good luck hope it works out for you.

Out of the mouths of babes!
Posted: 4/25/2007 1:11:20 AM
My little boy is fascinated with nature anything outside. He was four at the time that this happened but he said mom look at that sky (it was a really pretty sky, sunset over the valley) anyway he is quite for a minute and he says mom can I go up there I said no sun it is not your time to go up there (our dog had recently died and I told him it went to be with Jesus in the sky) so dead silence and he says out of no where mom because I would be thirsty and you could not get me anything to drink if i was in the sky..........At least then I knew what I was good for

The same child has a habit of dressing himself (very colorful taste) this particular day he had on bright red shirt with a yellow orange pair of pants we were going to the gym and I told him we would have to change his clothes and he says why mom I said you are not going anywhere with me looking like that he stops dead still in the middle of the floor spins his head around exorcist style and says mom I am handsome..........What could I say

childhood bipolar disorder parent
Posted: 4/25/2007 12:34:24 AM
It was a really great song, I cried. I feel your pain my son has just turned 5 and has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I have been fighting this battle since he came into my custody about 2 1/2 years ago. I adopted him ain November and have finally been able to get him into a psychatrist. He also suffers from FAS and Severe seperation anxiety (this is what jeffery dalhmer suffered from). Let me ask you a question does it sometimes seem that they (the doctors) use your son as a ginny pig? Or is that just me? I know that meds are a dime a dozen these days but their lets try this has left my son zombiefied, had him halucinating, and using the bathroom on his self. just wondering if you feel this too.

I love the song. I have got to get my mother to listen to it. The things that you say are what we feel daily. How do you save them? I wish I knew I guess that you just love them and hope that one day they will be leveled out enough to live a normal life. At least that is what I am hoping for. God bless you!

pregnant and drinking
Posted: 4/24/2007 11:54:28 PM
I am rasing a child with FAS and let me tell you some days you do not even want to be alive. Though I did not give birth to him I suffer with him. Some days are pure hell for him and me as well. Here's what you people that agree with drinking while you are pregnant being a choice need to think about. This person that is choosing to drink while pregnant is probably not going to take care of that child you are. You are going to pay the exspenses of that child when it goes into states custody. Now how do you fill about it. So as for it being her choice no it is not her choice to drink while pregnant it is my and your choice because eventually we as working adults are going to pay for that childs exspenses. Once all of you people that say it is a womans choice to drink while she is pregnant have raised one of these children that suffer from all the problems that the mother who has the right to drink while she is pregnant has caused this child then you tell me if it is her right to drink while she is pregnant.

I have heard all of the glass of wine or beer a day and that is fine. Despite what was said previously no this will not cause FAS unless it is done during the time that the childs brain is being formed then yes it can be very fatal. The safest way is to just not drink during pregnancy unless brought up by or has the ok from your doctor. Anything to the point of a buzz is too much.

I do also agree that if a woman is pregnant and just wants that one drink to cure a craving or is suggested by a doctor why should they not do it at home instead of a smoke filled bar.

If you want to know anything else on FAS please fill free to ask I live it daily as well as 3 other sets of parents that are rasing my sons bio mom's 3 other kids that she can not take care of 2 of which also have been diagnosed with FAS. By the way before we adopted these children if you work you were paying for them.

single guy with 3 kids, why does it scare ladies away???
Posted: 4/24/2007 11:24:05 PM
Being single mom myself I think that both of the guys are correct in their own ways.

1. Holding up a beer in your profile photo for me shows that you are a regular drinker.
I do not nor will I tolerate anyone drinking around my children.

2. The drama of a custody battle is a lot more than I would want to deal with trying to
get to know you. I would not want to hear all the time about what your ex is doing
now. It has nothing to do with the kids.

3. I understand completely about spending time with your kids but if you are trying to
get to know someone who does not put their kids first or does not have kids they will
not understand the priority of your children.

4. Your profile also has a unsaid truth that you are showing you are still in the party
stage of being single. You seem to have yet reached the ready to settle down stage
and if the lady that you are talking to wants to settle down that would be a read into
the profile to see if he is what you are looking for.

5. Try the other photo of yourself with the white shirt where you are smiling as your
profile picture.

6. Last but not least something to think about what are you offering a female in your
profile?

Hope this helps and good luck to ya!

Four and a half months pregnant!!!!
Posted: 4/24/2007 7:43:42 PM
I had a wonderful pregnancy all the way through. I never got sick the first time with my son and my family cused me the whold time. I think even if I would have though he was worth it.

One helpful hint and do not ask me how it works but I proved it with my son, eat chocolate everyday (some type). When I was about as the far along as you presently are I read a study in my local paper that said eating chocolate daily leads to calmer more serene babies. My son only cried when he was dirty or when he was hungry.

Next helpful hint at about two months start a small amount of cereal in a bottle before bed, it helps them sleep longer because they are more full. Hopefully you will choose to breast feed (it leads to healthier smarter babies and it is the best bonding time you will ever have with your child) and in this case just buy a pump to use before the babies bed time feeding. By two months you generally do not have to worry about nipple confusion.

Helpful hint number three: this worked for my son when they start not getting full on milk start with regular food (not baby food). Buy yourself a good food processor and start with fruit mixing it with small amounts of water and a taste of sugar. Blend until smooth and watch the baby enjoy. I never bought baby food. My son ate what we were eating after he got off of the fruits whatever veggies I made for dinner I would make him a spoonful of each in the processor and now the only things that he refuses to eat are asparagus and he is not real found of bannanas. I know this sounds time consuming but I worked 12 hour shifts and was able to do it so it really does not take that much time. One bannana, pear, or apple with a small amount of lemaon juice in it (not enough to taste) will make a small baby two meals.

When your baby out grows all of the clothes that you get at the baby shower ( a lot my son never wore) find a local childrens consignment shop that will trade up with you. A lot of the clothes that you can find in them are brand new designer names. This will save you time and money. They grow out of them so quickly.

Buy you some shout and a old tooth brush. Pretreat baby stains by spraying with shout and scrubing with toothbrush (soft bristle is less hard on soft baby products). This will keep babies items new looking for the short time they are worn.

For doctors visits when you know they are going to give shots give the baby 2cc's of tylenol about 30 minutes prior to doctors visit. Babies are not quite as fussy after the doc visit.

Invest in the baby einstein cd's they are worth the money. My son is not even two yet he is starting to learn his colors, talks in sentences (small sentences), takes his clothes off and puts them in the clothes hamper, and puts his toys away. This may not all be due to baby einstein but I am not saying that it is not either.

Ok I am going to stop here cause I could write a book on this type of stuff but one last one. Uncontrolable crying, try laying the baby belly down on your knees, bounce your knees and pat the babies back. (Also works when babies are fighting sleep.)

These worked for my baby and he is healthy and happy little boy.

Good Luck and Best Wishes! I hope these help.

Attend all natural subsitute for Ritalin
Posted: 4/24/2007 12:36:59 AM
My son is five and he has been on Ritalin for about 1 and half years. He does not function at school or home for that matter without it. Thanks Random for the poitives on it, you never hear that side of the story. The quack and I say that after several times of trying to get through to this woman and various attemps to reach her when my son was having visions of spiders and bugs with no response changed his medication from regular ritalin time released. Make a long story short it is not working and i can not get him in to see anyone else until the 17th so I am going to try the all natural stuff. I just truely hope and pray it works. Thanks for all of your imput!

Attend all natural subsitute for Ritalin
Posted: 4/19/2007 8:04:43 PM
Hi all my son takes Ritalin and I have wanted to take him off of it for quite some time, due to possible side effects. I found a website the other day that scared the heck out of me as far as possible side effects.

I have tried the fingold diet and with being a single working mother it is just too hard to cook all that we eat and so forth.

I found this stuff on the net called ATTEND just wondering if anyone has ever tried it with their child and what the outcome is. I have ordered it and am hoping it will work, anything to get him off of a legal hallucinate, speed and what ever else that stuff does. So if you have tried the ATTEND please let me know what you thought.

It has a 100% money back guarantee and I do have a all natural spray that will calm so I am hoping for the best.

This is what I think Ritalin must be like for him: An adult taking one or more valums hoping that it does not cause us to over dose.

And I long for the day when people of ALL faiths/religions/non can live in peace w/o some making the rest of us feel like shit becuase we are not Christian.

Thor I do as well wish all religions could get along and live in peace but if you go through and read the most of the post it is not the worshippers Thor, Aili (however it is spelled), Buddah, etc that receive the most ridcule. It is anyone in that is a Christian. (Read the post we are downed constantly for what we choose to believe.

I do Love my God as I have the right, you also have the right to love what ever God you choose.

When I was in school it was a minute of silence. You could pray to who ever you wanted to in that minute now the kids do not even have that!

God in the Email
Posted: 4/19/2007 7:22:33 PM
I as posted before generally only send them to people that I know are in practicing faith as far as the 8 people in 8 minutes who ever stated that it is not in the Christian belief on one part I do agree with you on the other side I do not.

No you are not going to get a miracle for sending it to eight people and that to bothers me when I get these emails for in the Christian religion making deals with God does not work, it is done on his time and not on ours.

On the other hand I do get a miracle daily when I see the sun rise or a flower in bloom or a sunset.

So yes I believe in Miracles from God but I do not believe that you get them for forwarding an email.

Now if I may I would like to ask a question on this same lines if I may: if it is a Christian email that is really neat though it is Christian based does it still offend you? Exp: I got one just yesterday where a man wrote words onto a large piece of paper then painted the head of Jesus in nine minutes. A very good painting. Though it was religious based it was a very interesting process to watch. He could have been painting a puppy it just so happened to be Jesus. Would that have offended you?

I do pray for my friends that are not Christian and on occasion do send them an email as such but I refuse to push my religion on them for in my experience with people they push back if it is something they are not ready for. I also know it may be something they may never ready for. I can not let that concern me but just remain there friend. For my salvation and that of the children around me is what I am accountable for. But let this be said that in believing in God I do know that the Bible does say you should never miss the chance to minister to a person for if you are ashamed of Jesus he will be ashamed of you before his father. I know this may not be the road that many choose to take anymore but it is right for me.

I knew this post was going to get negative feed back but wow, I can not believe their the enormous response to defind all the other religions when in the old days you went to school during the week and went to the same building on Sunday for Church. I know that this is 2007 and not 1907 but I sure wish i could have lived back then some times. Things were so simple. Most everyone then was a Christian and if you was not it was not made so obvious to people.

I am by no means saying that school should be the main place for discipline and by far not the main place for religion. My children are not raised by the teachers but if you really think about it they do spend more time with the teachers during the week than they do with the family: Up at 6, to school by 7:30, home at 3:30, dinner at 5:30 and bed at 8:30. Now I am not a mathmatician by any means but to me that means they spend 8 hours a day at school and 6 and a half hours at home (awake hours).

I do throughly believe that back before we were so politaically correct as a society that we raised much better children. Once you are not allowed to spank your kids and they can not bow their head at school for fear of offending someone we started raising hodlums. They have no respect cause they have never seen a belt much less that paddle that Mr. Dikens ( a teacher (not principle) at a school that I attended) had. One lick from that thing and you remebered what you got the last time you got that. If you really look at it from this point of view the why should they care if they get in trouble, what is one hour after school, just extra time with your friends. I guess we are headed for a country of ill mannered kids, with no religion for fear of offending someone who came to our country. And we wonder why our schools are getting shot up!

I think what you are doing is great but I do think that the jump should wait until you find out if you are a match or not the second poster does have a good point but that would be my luck. Someone going to donate an organ to save my life and then in order to raise money for me they die. Then I would not only have to worry about what happens to me next I have to morn for someone that loved me enough to give their own life for me to live (Put that way it is modern day Jesus).

If I could have saved my uncle 4 years ago by donating a organ then I would have done it with out a question, so I commend you. Having family love is rare this day and age and I love hearing stories about a family bound rather than a family feud (which these days happen inside the family instead of one family against the other.)

The best of wishes to you both and please keep us updated.

P.S. I looked at your profile though I agree with the quitting smoking try chantix if you can not quit on your own ( it is a doctor perscribed drug but it works wonders on cravings), I do not agree that you are heavly over weight from what I seen.

Thanks five I will keep that in mind. I had to look for a few days before I found hip hop for a cheaper price than on beach body but I did eventually. You do get the wowy support on some of them. Did I mention I am an ebay addict? LOL! Anyway the hip hop abs was harder to find than the other ones. I do think that you would enjoy the Yoga Booty Ballet too that nocturnal suggested. It is pretty upbeat as well and I love the relaxation at the end of it. Great before bed exercise. Good Luck to you as well and let me know what you thought about the HHA when you get it. If I ever get done with spring cleaning I am going to get back to working out but spring cleaning at my house is an amazing workout all in itself. Now that I am really thinking about what you said about the 10% off you will get HHA on beach body cheaper not sure why that just hit me but you will not find it on ebay for what you will get it for with 10% off. Have a great day!

Five,

I love the Hip Hop Abs. I tried the turbo jam the other day but it I did not do the learn the moves part so it was not that great of an experience for me, but i am going to try it again this weekend and learn the moves first. I love the music in hip hop abs so it is great for me. I did not order the weighted gloves I generally do core before I generally do core before I work out. It is exercise DVD on the ball and I can not for the life of me remeber his name. I appreciate the info on the 10% discount but I got all of mine on Ebay I found that if you watch the auctions just right you and keep checking back you can get them cheaper than at Beach Body.

Do try the hip hop abs though and the yoga booty ballet that nocturnal suggested is great too. Go to ebay to get them though they are cheaper and you can even pick which part of your body you really want the DVD to work.

Nocturnal,

I got the DVD's today and you were right from what I seen they are good. I did the cardio cabaret today and found it to be very fun. By the time it got to the ballet and yoga part I was not ready to slow down just yet. I was short on time though so it was a good thing. I did find by the end I was very relaxed. I think i am going to use it as my before bed exercise. Thanks so much been looking for something like this.

What makes someone a health nut?

I see it posted in several different threads in here, health nut this and health nut that. If a person chooses to eat right, not smoke, work out on a regular basis, and treat their body as the temple that it is meant to be, does that make them a health nut? Or could it be that they just care about and respect theirself enough to take care of their body? After all you only get one in this life and when it is wore out, you are just out of luck!

Ok this may be a redundant topic but I decided to post any way. I was turned on to beach body videos by one of my other threads and just wanted to share some of my favorites and invite others to do the same. i now have a large collection of dvd workouts and do believe that some are much better than others for the toning part if that is all you want to do. Here are some of my a few of my favorites until my new ones arrive and I get to check them out:

Tae Bo Basics by Billy Banks

10 Minute Solution Kick Box Boot Camp by Keli Roberts

Hip Hop Abs by Shawn T

Ones that I am waiting on in the mail that were suggested by other POF's are

Yoga Booty Ballet

Turbo Jam

If you choose to get any of these DVD's check ebay instead of going to Beach Body.com. If you keep checking most of the time you can get them cheaper than the web site.

why dont men want a bbw who is a damn good woman?
Posted: 4/5/2007 12:35:09 AM
I think that Atlanta hit the nail on the head. I do not believe that it is particularly that men do not like bbw women, I think it is that some bbw women as well as men do not like themselves. This is coming from my own personal experience. I am currently in a downward spiral from my weight gain and I can tell you I can tell a difference in the people around me. I feel good about myself and what I am doing for me so I notice more approaches than when I was gaining weight and filling really low on myself. I tested this one night when I went out, I decided before I left the house that hey I looked good and people that generally I would not think would approach me did. So now everytime that I leave the house i make sure that I look good to me so that i can look good to everyone else. It is all attitude in my opinion. It is just like this, every day when I wake I have a choice to make either I am going to have a good day and enjoy myself or I can have a bad day and possibly damage relationships around me.

We are all beautiful in our own way, see your own beauty and others will see it to.

Good luck!
