If aliens landed tomorrow
Posted: 9/22/2008 2:13:32 PM
I was thinking about this in the past and could only think of one thing. If there are aliens and we have proof and evidence of this, it will rock the religious part of our society. That will mean the bible is nothing more then just a book like Jack in the Beanstock and Dr Suese.
Another thing is that the majority of us can't and won't be able to handle in mentally. There's people out there that can't get over different races still, same sex marriages, and whatnot. Bring aliens into it and who really knows what's going to happen. Just a thought.

Tattoo's on boobs...attractive or not?
Posted: 1/5/2008 12:59:18 AM
For me it depends on the size and what it is. I have a friend that has a musical symbol on the side of her breast, not close to her nipple at all. But if there's one that's bigger then my hand, then it might not be as attractive.
I have some tats and my fiance has a couple. None of them are where there's a boob, butt, penis or vagina area.
It's all about what you're taste is. If you don't like it, then don't look or look for someone else.
There's people out there that have a full head of hair but shave their heads anyway. It's their choice to do so. Common sense.

Acting out against your lover.. whats the worst thing you have heard ?
Posted: 1/4/2008 11:51:09 AM
This is too funny...lol. I feel for the guy but still how the hell did it happen even if he was sleeping.
I remember hearing this in a movie...Reservoir Dogs...a bunch of badasses were talking about it while driving.
Here's the moral to this story guys....no matter how you broke up with your ex, stay the f*ck away from her!!!

Do you think there should be laws against people who trick you into sexual encounters!
Posted: 1/4/2008 11:43:05 AM
Man this is a stupid opinion. Why not have laws against gold diggers as well? How many guys would be charged for such a crime everytime a man dumps his girl?
If someone tricks you (don't care how that person did it) there should be laws to protect us from you since you're the one falling for it.

Bi-sexual girlfriend...
Posted: 12/14/2007 10:55:24 PM
How would you feel if he wanted sex from someone else besides you? Man or woman?

I dated a girl that was bi. I knew that going in and thought I'll give it a shot. After a year, she's hinting that she wanted some girl on girl loving. I asked her if I could either watch or participate? And if not, can I have sex with another woman? After sometime, she decided that I could watch so this way she isn't "cheating" on me. Doesn't make it right, but at least I know what's going on and don't have to worry if she's capable of cheating.

Porn Industry, is it now an accepted profession?
Posted: 12/14/2007 10:48:24 PM
I think porn has always been big. They used to have porn in theatres back in the day. Here in Winnipeg, I don't believe there's any anymore.
I don't believe crap when people say women got into porn because of somesort of abuse. There's some people that love to be watched to have sex and why not make money while doing it? I know there's a bad side to porn just like everything else in life.
There's a porn star named Tara Patrick, a hot asian woman. She was a nurse before doing porn. I don't know if she's still making porn at the moment now that she's married, but she still poses for nude pics.
Then there's another one name Asia Carrera that got into porn for the wrong reasons besides to make money. For her it probably was a mistake but she met the "man or her life" because of it.
I read somewhere that in the top 10 magazines sold in one month, 4 were porn mags...Playboy, Penthouse, Hustler and another one I can't remember. Sports Illistrated wasn't on the list. Go figure.

Boys need fathers...Period
Posted: 12/14/2007 10:35:47 PM
valleyjavastop I didn't see that I've been around for "20 pages" as you put it. Maybe in the beginning, but I havne't been on the furoms for quite some time. Now about the gay parent thing you mentioned...it was about an adoption topic so that's alot different then talking about a biological father. You might think its the same, but I know alot more foster fathers and adopted fathers that are better fathers then biological fathers. Not saying there isn't any, but with the programs and churches I was put into growing up you meet alot of children that have only one single parent. My opinion is that every child doesn't necessarily need their fathers. If they have a positive male or female in their lives being foster parents, aunts and uncles, or even big brother/sister, the child is getting all the help they want.
Just a question because I'm curious...to all the single mothers that believe they're doing a good job raising your children, what's your opinion to this? Why's the fathers not around? Easy to say if you're speaking from your own experience like I see everyone is doing, but what your experince did for you doesn't necessarily mean it will do for someone else.

Posted: 12/11/2007 11:28:08 PM
THis is what I mean when I don't agree that boys need fathers. YOu have jerseygrlinfl3 telling her story and she had positive males in her son's life.

NOw with the smack in the face, if you told my mom, "boys NEED their fathers", she will be offended if not worse. She did more then my father could ever do. I was lucky because I had a godfather that cared for me. Now if I didn't have him, I might think the same way only because I didn't have that male around to guide me. Now that's what I think is the problem. It's hard to say you need or don't need a father if you never had one. I truly believe it depends on the situation. If the boy knows what kind of father he's missing, then chances are he doesn't need him.

You know as I read everyone's opinions, I realize that for those of you that say "boys (or children) NEED fathers" is a slap in the face to the single mothers that do a great job raising their boys (or children) without their fathers. JMO.

For the above post, why did your son's father leave the country? Is it a personal reason or an excuss (sorry for saying that if it wasn't, just curious is all to why he would leave his son).

Tattooed eyebrows?!?!
Posted: 12/9/2007 11:06:55 PM
I know I won't be doing it..lol. I do know a few women that have it done. One is because she can't grow her eyebrows since she was young (she's over 50 now) and the other one is just because she's lazy and didn't want the hassles of putting on make up so she thought tattooing them is a good idea.
I just hope my fiance doesn't do that.

I'm on both sides on this one of late. I seen my share of good fathers being there for their children but I also seen quite a few bad fathers as well. Hell, I even seen children growing up without a father (or a mother) and turn out great.
I don't think it's that having a father in thc child's life is the issue. If the father isn't in the child's life for whatever reason, I think it depends if there's a possitive role model in it.
Speaking for myself, I didn't have my father there for me for the past 27 out of my 32 years of life. As an adult, I tried to give him an honest chance to get to know each other. Biggest mistake in my life. Now I know why he wasn't around so no one can tell me that I needed my FATHER. But there was a man that was part of my life that watched over me and that was my Godfather. He's still there for me.
Now that I'm a father and have a son of my own, I do believe he needs me. The difference is I do love my son and will do anything for him. Problem in my life is my dad didn't give a sh!t and I doubt that he loved me and he showed that to me.
Every child out there need to have a mother and father out there to love and care for them. But how many grow up without one or the other if not both? I can speak for myself, but I can't speak for my son or for you as a matter.

What if the Statue Of Liberty was on the US/Mexico Border ?
Posted: 12/9/2007 10:44:27 PM
I'm curious...what's the original language in North America anyway? Everyone is assuming it's English. Is it?

And for the guy who says if you're breaking our laws, leave. That could go to so many people besides Mexicans. I didn't know that Mexicans are resposible for so many of American crimes. Wasn't it a white man that killed 8 innocent people in a mall last week? Seems to be there's some racism more then anything else to me the more I read.

Oh, here in Canada, there's quite a few cities have have TWO languages on signs. English and French. So if one country can do it, why can't the mighty Americans do the same?

Yes they are coming over and wanting to keep their culture. Why does this bother us more then any other ethnic group, be they European, African, or Asian or even worst of all...Canadian ? I like mexican food. Mexican woman are cute..while they are young.

I'm really curious to what you mean by "worst of all...Canadian?" I was with you on most of your rant until I read this line and feel somewhat offended by this statement you made. I'm trying to look at it like you mean we, as Canadians, accept everyone regardless of whatever. Or maybe I'm just looking at this the wrong way. Just curious.

As to "what if the statue of liberty was on the us/mexico border? She'll be holding a burrito instead of the torch (at least that's what I think it is) and wearing a totally different kind of hat. Sad thing is, she'll probably be graffitted on as well.

If one thinks about the future, chances are they won't ever do what they really want. Who's to say anyone is going to be around at the age of 60? You could get hit by a drunk, die of lung cancer, slip and drown with your head in a toilet. If you have your ears pierced, did you think what it would look like when you're 60 before you got it done? Bet you didn't. What about people who get plastic surgery...do they think what it's going to look like when they're 60? Look at Whacko Jacko, he's not 60 yet and he looks like he belongs in the next installment of the Hills Have Eyes.
Just saying, why worry about something that you can't control anyway. Tats are beautiful. Make the world better and get tattooed!!!

How do you learn to trust again?
Posted: 12/2/2007 10:23:48 PM
IMO, it takes time. I know what's it like to be cheated on...but I also know what's is like to be the cheater as well. I'm still with the woman that cheated on me, and I cheated on her as well, and it took quite awhile for us to trust each other again. It's been 7 years since we were honest about what we did and it took along time.
Now to trust men/women afterwards if not the same lover, I still say it takes time. People are going to hurt and disappoint you regardless. Everyone in my life as hurt me one way or another. It's life.

Tattoo pics on Profiles

The tats I have on my body are all original and my design. Everything from my son's name to the details of my basketball and spiders tats. So I do take some offence when you say it's a fad, everyone's doing it, or that "possibly" I got it out of a magazine.
My tats describe me, through love of my son, to what makes me who I am. I'm sure alot more people feel the same way. It seems like some of you don't understand why someone would put a full pic of a tat...they're showing something to those who are interested in them. Makes sense to me.

Hey dude, I sure hope you speak for yourself and yourself only. For myself, I love to see if someone has a tattoo. You call in a tramp stamp, man are you close minded. Just how many women do you think you just turned off with that stupid comment of yours? At least their pics aren't as boring as a snowy background, huh? I might not have "wrestled" big time names, but I have learned a few things from my indie wrestling friends. Let me tell you something, it's not all acting. Like I said before, give it a try before judging it. I respect wrestlers, well most of them anyway, then I do most sports athletes, why? Because when an athlete for NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB get hurt, they go on the injured list...when a wrestler gets injured, they continue to wrestle. They don't get taken out of the ring unless it's something serious. They continue to wrestle with broken arms, legs or whatever.

Check out this site.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Benoit

If you're too lazy to read everything, here's something to read...
After the double-murder suicide, former wrestler Chris Nowinski contacted Michael Benoit, father of Chris Benoit, suggesting that years of trauma to his son's brain may have led to his actions. Tests were conducted on Benoit's brain by Julian Bailes, the head of neurosurgery at West Virginia University, and results showed that "Benoit's brain was so severely damaged it resembled the brain of an 85-year-old Alzheimer's patient." It was also shown to have an advanced form of dementia and was similar to the brains of four retired NFL players who have suffered multiple concussions, sank into depression and harmed themselves or others. Bailes and his colleagues concluded that repeated concussions can lead to dementia, which can contribute to severe behavioral problems.[87] Benoit's father suggests that brain damage may have been the leading cause of his crime.

If you have been watching wrestling lately, you would noticed that the wrestlers of WWE are not using chairs, sledgehammers, ring bells, tables, ladders, etc for a reason. If it's not because they're not getting hit with them and that wrestling if "fake", then tell me why it's not happening anymore. This is a big piece to the Beniot murder/suicide IMO.

Why do people cheat on their partners?
Posted: 11/26/2007 11:08:57 PM
Why would it matter why someone cheated on you? Unless you're planning of forgiving and "fixing" the problem on why they cheated on you.
Both me and my fiance cheated on each other. Her reason was because I was chatting with a woman. If that's the reason, then it's pretty stupid. That reason doesn't matter because there will be times I will chat with a woman....how could I not? The world is populated by at least 50% of them. Or what if she was chatting with a man, does that mean I could cheat on her for that same reason?
The question is, if you knew the reason, why would you ever think or believe it might be your fault in some way, shape or form. Unless you put your lover's penis in another woman's vagina yourself, it's not yours but his.
And this is coming from someone who was on both sides of the fence, and neither reason makes me feel better about it.

Why do people cheat on their partners?
Posted: 11/26/2007 10:40:26 PM
In my opinion, there are many reasons to cheat. The question is does it really matter why people cheat?
I have to admit that I cheated on my fiance in the past and she has on me. Our reasons were very different for each other. Mine was pretty much that she always was working and I only seen her for the weekend. Her's is because I was talking to a woman that was attractive. Now are these reasons for cheating??? No.

I have a friend that cheats because the wife doesn't have sex with him. I know people at work that cheat because of excitement, the feeling of getting caught. There are many reasons...it's just that the reasons are not acceptable or forgivable.

For the above post...

So I see you have some wrestling experience. Where did you learn your wrestling skills from? What famous wrestlers have you wrestled if any? So in your experience, how do you take a chair shot to the head? How does it feel to go through a table lets say 10 feet off the ground? How does bouncing off the ropes feel after hitting them? Just curious to how much you know? I know quite a few moves that no matter how fake you think it may be, just how much it hurts. I have a few friends that are indie wrestlers here in Peg City and I see some of the injuries afterwards. I guess it's not the chair shot that caused some of those injuries....must of been something clumsy like falling down the stairs, huh.

In your wilder days?
Posted: 11/25/2007 10:03:42 PM
A few summers ago when my fiance and son were visiting her family in Portugal, I went to a friend's place for a party. I remember drinking sh!tloads of tequila shots with a couple of friends. I also remember laying on a couch for awhile. When I woke up the next day in my own bed with my shoes on. After taking some time to wake up, get up, and find the bedroom door (almost broke my nose..lol) I found my keys hanging on a hook and no one else in the house. The locks I have are the ones that you need a key to lock it so no one drove me home and left.

Another one, during the same summer, I took a bus down to Missouri to meet up with another friend of mine. On the way there, I noticed a couple of girls getting on the bus when we stopped at Grand Forks. I had my mp3 going so I didn't really chat with them. When we stopped off at another city, the driver told us we're going to be there for 30 min. Everyone got of the bus but me, the girls and 2 drunks. The drunks were chatting with the girls. I had my mp3 off and heard some of the conversation. With what I heard, one drunk was p!ssed because he wanted sex and the girls told him to p!ss off. I decided to enter the conversation by saying is there a problem. The drunk asked if the girl in my girlfriend and I said no...they're my sis and cousin. The drunks got up to their feet and stepped up in front of me acting tough. All I had to do was stand up and they realized I was like a foot taller and they turned around saying something about they're not worth it. Thank god they left because I have no idea how much trouble I would've been in if they didn't. I still chat with one of the girls every now and then so it was worth it.

Why do people ask for their date's 'number' (of sexual partners)?
Posted: 11/25/2007 9:50:04 PM
I have to admit when I was younger it was important to me for some childish reason. Now that I've grown up alittle (ok, maybe not grown up but look at like differently) I just want to know if you're a virgin or not so I have a better understanding of where the relationship is going.
I dated this one girl for 2 years where for some reason I wanted to know how many men she's been with. It was alot compared to me and I was shocked and intimated. I also thought "ho" as well. But after taking a chance and dating for a year, I realized why that number was so high and tried to help her out. We broke up but we're still very good friends and she's a different and better woman for herself. Now I don't care if you slept with one guy or 100 guys...if you're clean and honest with me then it's all good. JMO.

That's the problem, season still early to tell, I agree totally. It's just I don't see many teams in the east that could challenge them yet either. The Bulls suck worse this year then they did 9 years ago. The Heat are way too old IMO. The Pistons might be the only team to give the Celtics a challenge now that I think of it. There's also the Magic...totally forgot about them and they're doing well too. Guess I just put my foot in my mouth...lol!!

Hard to say right now about the Celtics...I looked at the team stats and the Celtics are near the top in every team category. They're beating their opponents by an average better of 10 ppg. But saying that, no one on the Celtics save for Garnett has real experince in the post season. Still exciting to watch so far.

For the NBA, I could see the Celtics going quite far in the playoffs. They're doing so well at the moment considering the big 3 have only played together for less then a month on the court. But my gut says the Spurs are going to be on top again. That team is just to good and no one on the team thinks he's the star like certain players like on the Lakers or Nets...lol.

why do people want to argue the bible
Posted: 11/22/2007 12:06:24 AM
Non believers argue the bible because it condems them and if they can prove it wrong then they can feel less condemed, and of corse it helps if they can get more people to believe the way they do. There is comfort in number.

It's funny you should say this about non-believers....I find believers of god try to get people to believe then non-believers. Every winter when I go shoping at the mall, there's a bunch of christians getting into my face with their religion and that it's right. At first I was polite and told them my family is catholic and have no interest but they still insist. One time I got so pi$$ed at them after I asked them to leave me alone I finally snapped that I was satanic and if they know anything about satanism they better back off. I never seen so much fear in my life and I had to laugh at them. But the point is I have to yell at them to leave me alone. I thought accepting god is one's choice, not something to shove done one's throat? I'm surrounded by friends and family that are religious and the only ones that push it in my face are the ones that should be reading and studying their bibles because they are no way a better person then I am. The ones that don't push it are the ones that truly believe in their religion and understand what the bible teaches. JMO.

No smoking in car with minors
Posted: 11/21/2007 1:48:11 AM
Next time, when in the cancer ward, delve into some of these patients' past histories, work environments, etc. You may be surprised to learn that tobacco is being used as a scapegoat to hide other probable causes

Who says I never chat with the patients? I do all the time, that's why I don't buy what I see as BS. There are non-smokers that are both men and women. So I could rule out quite a bit that you mentioned in your post. If you read what I said, I don't believe everyone that is dying of lung cancer that I've met is dying because of 2nd hand smoke, but at the same time, I'm not saying that it doesn't happen. You're right...for some its the profession that they had before becoming a patient of mine. Some of them have worked in diners and bars that had smokers. Coincidence? I don't know, but I do have my reasons why I think that way.

Want to hear something funny? My mom was a smoker (about 2 or so every evening). We had a cat that we could hear breathing hard all the time. Never thought of the reason since she was getting old. She bought a new house and we moved in. She decided to quit smoking and the house will be a new start. Guess what...the cat stopped breathing hard. We didn't know where she was half the time. Coincidence? Now I'm not saying this is the case for everybody, but it was for a 10 year old cat. Maybe it was because of the cat's past? Sorry, had to be an a$$hole here...lol.

With all the posts I've read here you would think that all of you either know Chris Beniot personally or you know so much about mental problems/dilusions, cause of steriods, cause of depressions, and lets not forget cause of getting hit in the head with a chair over 15 plus years does to one person....hmmm.

I know what's it like being hit in the head just once with a solid object and it screwed me up for quite along time. Now think of getting hit with an object 2 or 3 times a week for who knows how many years. Someone said wrestling is fake...let's get somethings straight for the ones that don't know much about wrestling...the storylines are fake. The outcome is fake. Taking a powerbomb or a piledriver to the cement floor or steps is not fake. If you say it is, then please, let someone try it on you if you're so sure. Those ropes are not elastic, most wrestling rings use thick cables which leaves bruises. Now I'm not saying everything is totally real or fake. But anything that requires your head to hit any object does cause injuries...how many wrestlers do you think have concussions over the years. Beniot was one of them among Mick Foley, Jeff Hardy, Bret Hart and many others.

I don't know if Beniot was in control of himself when he killed his wife and son. I think he might be, but I can't really be sure. With the information that we know, I do understand alot more then I did 5 months ago. It doesn't make it right so don't question this please, but it makes me think of him differently. If he was a totally stranger with a crap job who took a major beating from 3 or more guys and did the same thing but didn't kill himself, some people would look at him being mentally disabled or so. But since this is not a stranger but a wrestler who was on something, the first thing people blame is steriods or whatever, not the facts that are coming out.

As a wrestler, Beniot has accomplished alot and made the wrestling fans proud. As a man I can't say. I just know that because of that weekend, a woman and a boy were taken away from here and Beniot took the reason with him along with his life.
I just hope that the family is at peace now.

why do people want to argue the bible
Posted: 11/21/2007 1:12:40 AM
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Psalms 14:1

When I read this, I feel that someone is disrespecting me. Why? Because I'm no fool and I'm not currupted. I don't believe in god anymore then I believe in satan. To believe in one means to believe in the other...so why exactly am I currupted? I have more good in me then most "religious" people I know. My family goes to church and pray one hour a week and treat society like $hit for the remaining of the week. I'm sure they're not the only ones.

There is no physical proof that anything in a bible is true. There is no arc found as of yet, no den or whatever that Jesus was in for 3 days, and I have a hard time believing a man has the strength of who knows how many men of the name Samson. The reason I'm not a believer of god isn't because of curruption but physical evidence and so far there hasn't been. Just because a book says so doesn't mean I should believe it.

Chris Beniot
Posted: 11/19/2007 1:32:25 AM
With all the new evidence about Beniot and his family that is revealed over the past couple of months, does anybody have a different opinion of what happened?

I don't know what happened that weekend myself and I could only go by what's been said by the police. Chris murdered his family, yes. Chris also had the brain damage (or whatever is the right definition of his problem) of an 80 plus year old alzhiemer patient. For those that say, that's just an excuss, then I'm sorry to see that you don't have much experince with mental damage people. I'm not making excusses for Beniot's actions...they were terrible. But how can one say "burn in hell" when one doesn't know the facts about the whole situation?

Graphic Novels, Comics- Anybody Reading?
Posted: 11/19/2007 1:08:57 AM
I'm a comic lover. Been collecting them for over 20 years now. Among my favorites are Spider-Man, X-Men, and Transformers....lol.
About the last post of Fantastic Four 2...When I saw the movie, I could've sworn I seen Galactus behind all the smoke cloud as a shadow? There was a shape of his head there. Maybe I'm wrong, but it sure looked that way to me. I think it would suck if they tried to make Galactus any considering there was so many complaints about the Hulk looking to computer like. Galactus is alot bigger then the Hulk, what do you think they would say...lol.

why do people want to argue the bible
Posted: 11/19/2007 12:43:33 AM
Before I answer the original question here I would like to know something....

When scientists believed they found Noah's arc in the past decade, why were the christians against the find? This would prove the bible is indeed true, right?

Here's another one...when Mel Gibson released A Passion for the Christ, again why were the christians against the movie without even watching it? Talk about judging others, I thought judging was a sin? Hmmm.

Now here's something I bet not many of you know....how many of you bible lovers have piercings of some sort...guess what? It's a sin if you have them. Yup, not makin it up, but the church my fiance's family goes to says "IT" was a sin but now it's acceptable. I'm waiting for homosexuals to be acceptable....lol!!!

I'm engaged to a woman that is catholic. My background is catholic. I admit I don't know the difference between a catholic, christian and budda, but if they all could agree that God created everything, then why the different religions? Anyway, back to the fiance...her family goes to church every sunday for an hour. But the rest of the week they sin in so many ways. None of them even read a bible. I did when I was younger to make my own decision if it's for me or not.

My answer is it's hard to believe a book that has NO evidence what so ever. I have a hard time that hungry lions didn't eat Daniel (I think that's his name), that only a young man by the name of David killed a Goliath but soldiers couldn't, and a guy with super strength loses his strength when his hair was cut....that sounds like a comic book to me. The bible makes the planet seem in the thousands of years old while evidence says completely different. There's no mention of dinosaurs in the bible, yet there's proof of them, go to any museum to see it.

I understand that people need something to believe in and have faith in it and that's dandy. But I don't agree with religion to be outside one's home and church.

Would you rather love and lose or never love at all?
Posted: 11/19/2007 12:21:47 AM
I really can't say which one I would rather have...

I met and fell in love with a wonder girl when I was 18. We dated for over 3 years. We were engaged, living together and planning on getting married and everything. She was my first everything and it felt right. At the age of 32 now, I still have those feelings for her. It's not like I think of her all the time, but I do see her at the worst times and wonder if it's some kind of torturous fate...lol. When I hear her voice, I can't think straight. I seen her just a few weeks ago at a mall and I couldn't even talk to her because of those feelings just came back.

I'm engaged now and I do love my fiance, but that first love really did a number on me that I sometimes wished I never had. It's not like I want her back because I do know that we're not the same people we were 14 years ago...I'm sure not the same guy that's for sure. But like I said, I'm not sure whtch one I would rather have...the love and loosing her or not experiencing it with that one particular girl....

No smoking in car with minors
Posted: 11/19/2007 12:03:38 AM
You see "it" at work, but that is ALL you see....not the big picture.

That's funny...after 14 years working on a cancer unit and dealing with cancer everyday, and knowing who has what and all...all this time and it's not the smoker that lives in the home that accidentally caused the non-smoker to have lung cancer but radon and a graph. Ok, I'll give you that. I'll pass that on to those who are dying of the effects of radon. Not being an a$$hole to you, friend, but I do see quite alot over 14 years. I'm not saying all non-smokers that have lung cancer are dying because of smoking, but there are quite a few. If you want to go by stats, go to any cancer unit and talk to those that have the cancer, not a website or books or papers, etc.

About the banning of smoking in homes and apartments, that's already started in many parts where I live in Winnipeg. The last apartment I lived in, if you're just moving in, you have to sign the lease that says you're a non-smoker. You smoke, you're in violation of your lease. If you smoked before, that's a different story, you're allowed to smoke but you can't smoke anywhere else BUT YOUR APARTMENT. Not in the hallways, front/side/back entrances, laundry room, etc.

I like the idea only because I'm a non-smoker, but I do agree that it shouldn't be a law to smoke in your own home when you want to. It's your right to smoke. If anything, it's the landlord/owner's decision to make their apartments/homes smoke free.

Philadelphia Smoking Ban in Bars and Clubs
Posted: 11/17/2007 1:40:02 AM
I just now read this thread and wanted to give my 2 cents worth....

In Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, we have a smoking ban anywhere that is a public indoor building....bars, malls, restaurants, work, everywhere. And you want to know something, I find the bar scene alot more friendly and fun. I'm a non-smoker, and smoking hasn't really bothered me. I would have one whenever we go out in the past only because it seems to me that the smoke always goes to the one that's not smoking...which is me mostly unless I light one up.
I like the idea of taking my family to a restaurant and not have to smell smoke while eating my meal... non-smoking areas my a$$...smoke travels anywhere as long as there's space and vents.
When it comes to bars, I will admit that the ban was stupid in the beginning since we're all adults and there's no children to worry about, but for the non-smoker that wants to have a good time must suffer to make smokers happy. What do you think? If your health as a smoker isn't important to you, what makes you think others think the same way as you? Just a thought.

No smoking in car with minors
Posted: 11/17/2007 1:22:30 AM
In my opinion, when it comes to non-smokers, you should respect them. When you light up in front of them, you're disrespecting them.

Now when it comes to smoking in a car with minors, why the hell are you smoking in front or around your kids? Don't you love them enough to quit? If you're willing to put their health in danger for their future, then you don't love them as much as you love yourself, huh. It's only a proven fact that over time, smoking does kill you. Non-smokers are known to die of lung cancer...I see it at work, I work on a cancer unit so don't tell me different.
You could complain about the deisel from buses and whatnot, but that's something that you CAN'T control. You can control yourself and what you do in front of your children in a car. I don't smoke, and if I did I wouldn't smoke in front of my son. He means to much to me to make him sick just so I can give in to my addictions.

Spitting on someone is abuse!
Posted: 11/17/2007 12:57:55 AM
I would think it all depends on the arguement. If this couple were both accussing the other of cheating, then of course it was wrong doesn't matter who did the spitting.

For me to accept spitting on someone, it goes to the arguement. If I had a girlfriend that cheated on me (which to me is the ultimate no-no you could do in a relationship and is degrading as well), I can't say I wouldn't spit in her face in disgust, but I know I wouldn't accept it and take her back.

Now I not saying it's right because it isn't...but for me I go by action and reaction. Going by the little information that is giving about the couple, the guy is totally wrong. But I'm sure there is always more on the other side. JMO

Did I over react?
Posted: 11/17/2007 12:49:39 AM
I wouldn't say you were in the wrong. Why were the clothes on the floor? Why didn't she put them in a cart to put the clothes away? Then she actually yelled at you? For her ignorance? I see stuff on the floor or ground outside my house, I think garbage. Why? Because people walk on the floors with dirty shoes that were just outside.
Don't give me crap about working in retail. That's your choice to work. Every job I had they not only train me to do my job, but to do it with a smile. I never yelled at any customer, patient or anything else since I've been in the work force. If someone with no common sense starts yelling at me for their stupidity, then they better get ready for any action that I might or might not do.

You did good in my eyes. I probably would've picked up the clothes and threw them in the ignorant woman's face and telling her to fuking do her job properly.

ban on U.S. cars
Posted: 10/25/2007 10:43:27 AM
In my opinion, it's your choice where you buy a car. If you could get a cheaper deal, then what's the problem?
Now when it comes down to warranty, then I don't see why Canadian automakers should honor them if the car was bought in the States. Just my opinion.

Who answers yes to who does drugs?
Posted: 9/21/2007 11:03:46 PM
I don't take drugs. I tried pot once and thought I could spend my time doing something better...like banging my head against the wall until I fall into a coma.

I do find the question interesting only because of the drug discussions on the forums. So many people say they don't/will never/have never taken drugs...if its true, only you know. But most of the people on the drug forums stick up for some of the drugs yet they claim to be clean...hmmmm.

If it lists drugs as legal or illegal, you have to assume that it's illegal. But there are people who do take drugs that are prescribed by a doctor. It's up to you which of the two.

Like I said, Chris Benoit the wrestler. You might see him as a man, I don't. The wrestler is a fictional character, is it not? I don't think there's a real Undertaker or Boogieman walking around the world.

The reason i pointed you out is that you responed to my post earlier. YOu jsut didn't say my name. If you want to bring the bible into it, ok, let;s look into that...doesn't it say not to judge others too? Who on here hasn't judged Benoit? A sin's a sin in god's eyes. There's not one that worse then the others if you're going to heaven or hell. For the example of the man I gave out, I wanted to show something. People's first reaction is to see the worst in others. No matter if its small or big. Benoit was a real big baddie thing to do. The worst matter of fact. Killing blood is just bad.

Now that you brought up your cousins, yeah you right. They didn't kill their autistic child. But like I said before, unless you were there, what do you know? Everyone here likes to give opinions which is great. But an opinion without fact is fiction. What Benoit did was wrong. Can't be justified. But with all the reports and problems that family are now coming out say that there's so much crap in that family. Everyone is looking at this murder as a moral value, or biblical view. Sorry, but the world isn't based like that. You have family killing off family for money and greed. You have best friends killing each other for jealousy. Murder is wrong. I agree. There's no reason to do what he did. But like I said, what do you know what he's going through. I'm sure your cousin's parents were not on the road 300 days a year. I'm sure your cousin was getting help and your family was open about it. He wasn't.

I'm a big fan of Chris Benoit the wrestler. Chris Benoit the man, I hate him right now. The more I read about him and his family, the more anger I feel towards him because some of the shit he's going through I'm going through. Only I come home every night. I wasn't open about my son's autism for almost a year. Not because I"m ashamed, but because I wanted to get over the crying and stuff so I could help my son. I don't know what makes one to kill his own child. When everyone that knows him, from family to friends to co-workers, the opinions are just whacked. I

For Benoit's family, his father made some comments already. Some can be viewed on prowrestling.com. For Nancy's family, all that was said so far is that Nancy and Daniel will be cremated in her home town while Benoit's funeral is coming up.

hey queen

How do you know your cousins have worse condition then Benoit's son? Did you read Daniel's medical report? If you did, let us know more about the situation then. If not, then don't bs everyone here. My son's medical condition, I can't compare my son to Benoit's son.

After reading more about this murder and Benoit, I realize that there's way to many stories going on about it. For those that don't know sh*t about Benoit, counting myself, then our opinions mean sh*t. Many wrestlers post on their sites about Benoit and the murders. Out of all of them, only one is truly pissed at Benoit. These are his workers and friends.

I'm not trying to make excusses for Benoit's actions. They were wrong for those of us that have morals. If you look at it with an open mind, his actions toward his son (I don't believe his actions toward his wife are the same at all) were justified to himself. He knew he was going to prison. No one outside the family knew of his son's fxs. He thought death would be better then life for his son. I'm against this logic of thinking myself. I say he quit on his son.

For those that are raising children with special needs like add, ads, autism, and whatnot, you all know what frustrating times it is to go through raising our children. Not everyone would go to the extremes as Benoit. I for one know the frustration of raising my son with my fiance. Over 90% of our arguements are about our son's future. We don't argue about family, money, bills or anything like that. Then there's the lack of sleep, stress of needing more help. There's a list I can give you. But in Benoit's case, he didn't want to go public with his son's condition and that was the start of his mistakes. His wife needed help at home while he was at work, but she didn't want him to quit wwe like he wanted to. Benoit screwed up big time. No arguement from me there. But if you don't know what him and his wife are going through, the problems and frustration, then how can you judge somebody? If a man kills over 20 families, but gave his heart to a dying person before being excuted, what are you going to remember most about the killer? His victims or that one person he saved? (now that sounds stupid, dont it..lol)

I just know it's easy to judge without knowing sh*t. Like how many of us complained and ****ed about the tribute that WWE did for Benoit on monday night raw only to find out the truth that they didn't know until after the show. They had a show to put on. Guess most people thought they should have played the angle of vince being killed other then that.
