The management at Joeys has promised me a DJ for this party and if we'd like a live band in the future they will go that route as well. They will also have the room to dance. They have told me that their usual crowd does not want entertainment, but are willing to work with us in any way they can to bring in new business. We will basically have the place to ourselves on Friday nights as they are committed to a poker tournament that they run on the lower level on Saturday nights. The Halloween party was a bit different because of the circumstances with Legends burning down just a few days before the party. I was forced to make a decision to save the party or just cancel it outright.....so the party we had didn't have the room or the entertainment available that I will set up when given the normal time frame. If we come out in force and show our support for these parties and show the management of Joey Armadillos that we can make it very profitable for them to work with us we can have some outstanding parties at a very nice, clean and comfortable location. This way we can continue to have these parties and meet old friends as well as the new ones that show up to each party. ....once again, feel free to bring as many guests as you like....the more the merrier!!

I host these parties because they are fun, I enjoy seeing the friends I have made along the way, and I get a ton of replies from area people to keep them going. I have met someone on here that I am dating....I don't need these parties to meet people to date!! ENOUGH WITH THE REQUESTS TO HOLD PARTIES NEAR YOU!!!

PLEASE be sure to sign up if you plan on attending. This is a new location for us (2nd party) and the owners want to know how many people to expect so they can have enough wait staff on hand for us. Thank you. ....and to those IN people that are wanting a prty in Mishawaka and Elkhart...I am trying to hold these parties at a central location for everyone. We have people come to these parties from areas of SW MI that would make an IN very impractical for them. Just because you want a party a mile from your house doesn't mean that other people want to drive an hour to get there for your convenience. Hosting the parties are very easy....just ask me and I will help you get one started near you.

For the first time , I'm going to try a Friday night Michiana POF Singles party at Joey Armadillos In Niles MI. This is the same place we had the Halloween party at. This time we will have the run of the entire lounge as there's no poker tournament taking up the lower level. We will also have a DJ and room to dance. Joey Armadillos has very good food...entertainment will start at 9pm until 1 am. Come early if you'd like to eat dinner or just to mingle before the DJ starts. Come out to meet old POF friends....and to meet new ones. We had a very good turn out for the Halloween party, and the management at Joey Armadillos has invited us back for another party!! This is the relocated Legends Party. It has been moved to Joey Armadillos in Niles due to Legends burning down on the morning of Oct 26. Hopefully this does not cause too much confusion. The doors open at 4pm....but I will be arriving about 7pm and hopefully lasting until 2am. Please come out and make this party a success like all the ones we had at Legends. Hopefully our POF group will make the same great impression on Joey Armadillos staff as we did at Legends.!! Joey Armadillos is located one miles north of the MI state line on US-31 or M-51 whichever hwy name you want to go by and across the street from Campbell Ford and Rural King. The manager of Joey Armadillos did pull me aside to talk about future parties. He will work with us to get a DJ or maybe even a band in for our parties. They will not be as crowded as it was last night and we will have room to dance....it was just a big crowd for Halloween, and we had a very short notice because of the fire. When summer rolls around we will have Patio Parties outside with live music. The patio holds 350 ppl. Joey Armadillos was very happy with the POF turn out we had. Thanks everyone for saving me on the fast relocation!!

Well...it wasn't a well organized party due to the fire at Legends, but I think we can put this party in the win column. Although the musical entertainment was limited to the Jukebox, everyone seemed to have a good time and we did have a good turn out. I saw a lot of new faces....and a lot of ppl came out that didn't make the sign up. Thanks everyone for coming and making this a fun night. Hopefully the next party won't be this hectic!!

The prizes for best costume are $50 for single....$100 for couples and $150 for group (3 or more). Prizes will begin to be awarded at Midnite.

Joey Armadillos is connected to the bowling alley. If you are meeting people that don't want to walk in alone, a better place to meet would be on the bowling side. Close by...very well lit and safe.

I hope this doesn't confuse anyone...but this is the relocated Legends party. As most of you know, Legends burned to the ground on the morning of Oct 26th. With the help of the management at Joey Armadillos I have managed to switch the party to Niles (about 10 miles west of where Legends was located) Just sign up on this forum....and forget about the other Legends sign up. If you were at the Warsaw party last night, please take a minute to leave your thoughts and feedback here. This way Bunny will know which direction you want her to go for the next party....ie..another Karaoke party, a DJ, or live band. This is your chance to let her know what you want for the next party. I have consulted her with my ideas of a venue that is more "mingling" friendly with possibly a live band. Your input her is very important!! I live 70 miles away and am merely trying to help Melissa on advise on what works for my parties....these are YOUR parties, and she needs to know what you want.

Bunny has put a lot of hard work and planning into this. I know...she has asked me plenty of questions about how and what to do. I think that for her first attempt it is going very good. ....AND i for one am looking forward to tonights party and seeing how it all comes together. I have been hosting parties on POF for over 2 years....and no matter what you do, or how good the parties are there is just no pleasing everyone. Hopefully everyone will consider her hard work and initiative before making bad comments here, and thank her for doing what no one else in the Warsaw area has been willing to do yet. I've had a few people ask about the people that come out for the parties....and the atmosphere. Legends has a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for the parties . I get complimented at each party by the security at Legends for how nice our group is. It would help if some of the people that have attended other POF parties here would comment on what they thought of them and the crowds. Thanks.....Russ

WOW!!! Where are the people that were emailing me to host another party?? It's a very simple concept....if you want to attend ...you simply sign up. No major commitment...the POF police aren't going to hunt you down if you sign up and don't make it. The more people that we get to sign up for these parties...the more people we are able to get to come out and see what this is all about. The last couple parties we've had more people show up without signing up. SIGN UP!! You may have someone out there that wants to come out and meet you. IF you are having problems with a stalker....please contact me and let me know that you want to attend, but you don't want to advertise it. We need these numbers to have a number to give to Legends so they know what to expect and they have enough of their wait staff there for us that night. Ok...I'm done ranting now!!

Back by popular demand......lets kick off Fall with another Michiana POF Singles party at Legends Restaurant in Edwardsbug, MI. This will be our first party since last May...come out and help us make it a big one!! Legends will be having a Grand Re-Opening Celebration all afternoon....and the POF Party will kick off the evening at 7:00pm til closing time. The Potentials will be our Band for the night. Bring as many friends as you like...and meet new POF friends here as well. Edwardsburg is 60 miles south of Kalamazoo, MI....16 miles NE of South Bend, IN......13 miles NE of Mishawaka, In .......10 miles NW of Elkhart, IN.....and 10 miles east of Niles, MI. We usually draw a good crowd.....with lots of fun!! Don't forget, Legends also offers the Legends Bus to transport members to/from local hotels. If you'd like information on the hotels available, just send me a message and I'll be glad to help. HOWEVER, Troy also has 10 fully furnished apartments available for the night. These apartments are normally rented out for football parties, etc. They are very, very clean, extremely nice, and huge in comparison to a hotel room. They are aprox. 250 feet from Legends. I do see more ladies meeting there and becoming friends, than I do men/women actually "hooking" up. I've also had many ppl tell me that these parties have a very friendly atmosphere...and nothing like the "meat market" feel you get at a lot of bars and parties.

The April Party brought in over 100 singles! We are still trying to find a local band for this party, but in the event we don't we will have the DJ that has played many of the parties for us. The entertainment will start at 9 pm....as usual. Legends is very easy to find just around the corner from Lunkers on M-62 next to McDonalds. The party is usually going pretty strong at 1:30 when we get last call. ....for whatever reason we get a lot of ppl that attend that don't sign up, so you really can't go off the sign up sheet to see who is going to be there...and who is not. PLUS...there is also the idea that a friend of a member may be the person who you are looking for.

Once again....the dinner is menu items and you must pay for them. It's not necessary to sign up to attend....but it is nice that you do. This way it gives me an idea of how many people to expect so I can relay that information on to Legends so they have enough staff on hand to give us the best service they can. If we have 25 ppl sign up and 100 show up then legends can hardly be blamed if you get slow service for the night of our party. If you are having trouble with someone stalking you and want to show but not sign up, please email me and tell me your intentions. Thanks for your co-operation.

As of today....we are still trying to get 1-900 to play. If we can't get them , Legends has another band on call that played the first night after their remodeling. I'm not sure , but I think the name is Rocktober??? Some of the Legends regulars may know of them. I saw them for a few minutes....and they sounded good. Russ

Michiana POF First Day of Spring Party at Legends in Edwardsburg, MI on Saturday April 18. Come out and enjoy the newly remodeled Legends Restaurant with old POF friends and meet new ones as well !! Edwardsburg is 60 miles south of Kalamazoo, MI....16 miles NE of South Bend, IN......13 miles NE of Mishawaka, In .......10 miles NW of Elkhart, IN.....and 10 miles east of Niles, MI. We usually draw a good crowd.....with lots of fun!! The entertainment is still being finalized, but Troy is trying to get 1-900 the band that played our last two parties for us. The entertainment will start at 9 pm....as usual. Don't forget, Legends also offers the Legends Bus to transport members to/from local hotels. If you'd like information on the hotels available, just send me a message and I'll be glad to help. HOWEVER, Troy also has 10 fully furnished apartments available for the night. These apartments are normally rented out for football parties, etc. They are very, very clean, extremely nice, and huge in comparison to a hotel room. . They are aprox. 250 feet from Legends. Thats within walking distance folks! Trust me, you WILL NOT be disappointed if you choose to stay there! You can call Legends at (269) 663-2600 to reserve a room. Just got off the phone with Troy, and we do have the same band, 1-900, that played the Valentines Party.
