Same things you guys are looking for Nate.I too have been on here for awhile.Been on a few dates,coffee,dinner etc,but no love connection.I have made some great friends and love the POF parties.So,I just keep holding on.Who knows whats right around the corner.

If you had ever lost a child you would never ask this question.Tomorrow will be one year since my 25 yr.old son was killed.There is no comparison. The pain is like nothing you can imagine.Im divorced and can see my ex anytime I want.I will never see my son again in this lifetime.

N O there is no comparison.Losing a child is the worst pain you will ever feel.At least you will still see your ex.I will never see my son again.I will never hear HAPPY MOTHERS DAY again.I will never hear I love you mom.Please tell you moms you love them everyday,you dont know when they will be taken from your life.

Thank you very much for the kind word about nurses(being one myself) Its a very hard job,both phys,and emotionally.I love my job and have been in the nursing field my whole life.Its not for everyone and takes alot of dedication.

Im so sorry for your loss.i lost my 25y/o son in June of 2008.The pain is unimaginable. But I have found that grief counseling does help some.It takes time and I hate that word.He was my only child and my best friend. Just know that you need to grieve in what ever way you do.No one way is wrong.Give yourself time to heal.They tell me it takes at least 2 yrs. to start to feel human again.Nothing will ever be normal or be the same again. I will keep you in my prayers.Take care,Deb

I too run into the same thing as I work 7p-7a so I understand how difficult it is to meet someone.That is why I joined this site hoping to meet someone.It hasnt been easy but I have made some great friends.I havent given up yet tho. lol

No one knows the"right " things to say so they avoid you and because it is too uncomfortable.I too am grieving alone and it is very hard.Grief counseling does help.I tell people the best thing you can do for someone is just be there,listen and let them talk about their child or cry.But no one knows the pain and heartache we feel.I will keep you in my prayers.

You are so wrong Bob.I had unconditional love every day of my sons life until he died at the age of 25 6 months ago. He brought me joy EVERY day.Did he do some things wrong? Of course,he was human. But he was my heart and soul.But I wouldnt change having him in my life for anything in this world.I would rather have loved and lost then never to have loved at all.

I so can relate to this.I lost my 25 y/o only child,a son in a motorcycle accident a few months ago.There is no greater pain.Going thru it alone is worse.Just let her know that you are there for her.Grief counseling helps alittle.NO ONE can understand the horrific pain she is feeling.Every day hurts. Ive lost 82 lbs going to curves in less than 8 months.I go 3 times a week and do it for 30 min. only.It does work.The machines are geared for the parts where women gain the most weight.

I so know how you feel and my heart goes out to you.i lost my only child,my 25 y/o son in a motorcycle accident on June 5th of this year.I am still grieving as well.Most people dont know what to say and alot say the wrong thing.He was my best friend and my life.I am going to grief counseling and it helps alittle.But my heart aches 24/7 and I cry all the time.We missed out on so much.All I know for sure is to let it out and find a real friend who will listen to you and let you talk w/0 giving advise because if they havent lost a child they do not know how you feel and never will.If you need someone to talk to I am here and I DO KNOW HOW YOU FEEL.You are in my prayers,Deb

I wish I knew.I lost my only child,my son who was 25 to a motorcycle accident on June 5th.His daughter was born on June 14th.The pain is so bad sometimes that I wonder how I will survive.People mean well but all those sayings dont help when you suddenly lose a child in an accident.He was my bestfriend and we were very close. I pray for the day peace comes.

I so disagree.My hair is so easy to do.I just wash and go.When it was short it took me a long time to style.With it long I can put it up,put it in a ponytail, curl it or whatever I want. I can be ready in 10 minutes. i love it.

Spud,I know how you feel.I lost my son on June 5th and if it wasnt for my family and friends I dont know how i would have made it this far.All I can say Is,allow yourself to grieve.It is a process and there is no right or wrong way.Stay in TODAY. Ive been on a few.Some good,some pretty horrific,Some very funny.Ive made some great friends on here,men and women.I prefer to email or IM chat to get to know someone,at least for alittle while.Then coffee is a great icebreaker.At my age you have to be careful out there,there are alot of NUT cases.
