Silver Surfer - I've always been fascinated with the UK. How about we just trade places?

Funny you should say that. I was just thinking the other day how I would like to do a swap with another line dance instructor. He or she would come and stay in my place and take on my classes while I go over there and take on their classes... a bit like the tv prog. 'wife swap'... but it would be 'Life swap'.... a bit too much to ask for?

Death and the age of 50....
Posted: 10/31/2009 5:58:01 AM
You are quite right OP. I had noticed this too even erlier than the last ten years or so. Reason being I'm now 64! (That old Beatles song haunts me because of it!)

My very best closest friend died even before her 40's with Cancer.
My first long time partner never got to 50 due to booze and ciggies.
His best friend (mine too) MS in his 40's.
My husband always said he didn't want a mortgage by the time he was 50. He got his wish! Diving accident.
My second best life long friend died just a couple of years after her 50th. Natural causes they said.
I could go on and on.... it's very scary to know how fragile we really are.

I'm from the rock 'n' roll generation.... we were gonna live forever!

It all started to go wrong with Keith Moon , Brian Jones and Jimi Hendrix.

That thing of putting my feet up with a cool long drink in my hand, swaying in the hamock on the beach by the ocean, remincing the 'good old days' with my old pals seems less and less likely now.... I think there are just about three of us left
and I'm thinking like.... in 20 years time!

It's such a strange thing.... I've known and know lots of people in their late 70's and 80's plus... They seem to live out the expected time and beyond.

What happened?

It's a funny thing, some people think they live in the wrong body.... I think I live in the wrong part of the world

I think it's an accident of fate that I live where I live and for a very long time I've felt I should be somewhere else.... that's all I know though.

so... yes, I would easily consider a move.

Two dilemas concerning death.
Posted: 9/25/2009 10:12:54 AM
OP, first of all I would just like to say how sorry I am for your loss.

I can understand how you must be feeling confused at this time. I doubt we are ever really prepared for death and each of us responds so individually.

I'd like to just say something about my own experience as a child.

I was very fond of a young woman who lived next door to us and was an occasional babysitter for me and my young brother.
I will always remember how one day she came round and somehow I accidently knocked our heavy front door into her face causing a bump to her forehead. Of course she said she was fine and told me not to worry about it but I heard a few days later that she was not feeling too well and then suddenly she died.

I was taken to the cremation ceremony and cried a lot. I blamed myself for her death as nobody explained to me what had happened to cause her death.

It was years and years later that I found out she had died of a brain tumor but somehow deep inside I still blamed myself.

As for your questions, I hope you find your way through them.
My first grandchild lost her father in a very similar way and it is still proving difficult to deal with withing the extended family.

I personally don't think making something up will help in the long run and have found that just talking and listening about the living years has been a great help to both of us.
One day when she is really ready to understand I'm sure her mum will explain it all.

I wish you well in getting through this very difficult time.

Smoking!
Posted: 9/24/2009 4:32:01 AM
OP: yes, it is an absolute deal breaker.... a potential date and anyone else who I make friends with....
I spent ten years as a hospital radio presenter/fund raiser and request collector... I met up with many young people who suffered different smoking related problems leading to a very painful death.... I wonder why it's not publicised more to show the real issues.
Just yesterday it was on the news that it has been proved that smokers are more likely to die of a heart attack. That's a quick way to go..... I've seen the very slow suffering of people who are not able to breath on their own.... struggling for breath to live .... lying there weak in fear....
is it really worth that little white coughing (coffin) nail?

and the people they leave behind? I've lost friends and loved ones to the dreaded weed! In our youth we were not aware of the damage we were doing to ourselves....

is life really not that worth living?

How can someone honestly say they 'like' a smoke? Would you be as willing to suck up the exhaust of a car?

As soon as I hear of a place that is completely smokers free.... I am packing my bag and heading there....

Why does everyone blame Siavash over Norin, it takes two to tango or had you forgot.
I hope he wins now. He may have broke rules, he had his reasons and lets face it look at what the others did too.
I dont mind looking at his body he s got one to show off. And what a head of hair! some of us women would die for that.

Thank you for that entry^, I so agree.

Though I have to say, it's only the men who seem to have negative things to say about him on this forum.

a guy whos sexuality is questionable

I love the way he is and will so miss him now it's all over. I wouldn't mind being his flatmate. Life would never be dull around him.
I was really impressed with the way he let the housemates try his clothes on .... he has no selfish tendancies and allows his feeling to flurish. People who just don't 'get him yet' may realize a few things down the line.
He was so pleased for Sophie, who incidently seems to value her friendship with Sievash and good for her

I'd like to see Sophie win it and, if not, Siavash.

I would go with these two too. Though I think I would say Siavash first, I think he's had to put up with so much these last few days.... how could they be so cruel.... sorry, Siavash but it was funny... hope you will be able to look back on it one day and see the funny side.
I think Sophie did a great job of portraying Noireen....

REALLY NEED A 60+ FORUM!!!!!!!!!
Posted: 8/21/2009 5:39:00 PM

I suppose we could discuss how slim the pickings are in the old folks' home, but that would be kind of a downer

I'm not really ready for an old folks home yet but I am actually interested in the subject.
At my age too, I find time goes more quickly which may be how the term 'over the hill' came into being.
I don't seem to have many people in and around my area to connect with on this site in my age group and welcome the fact I have made friends globaly... mainly through the forums. But it has taken a very long time.
Dating at my age is not something I am comfortable with. I am from a different generation with a different mind set. I was married for 25 years.
I didn't believe in sex before marriage and I'm certain there are other people like me. Even young ones but in the main, from what I've read on some of the forums I know my opinions would either be comletely ignored or made fun of.

A 60+ forum would fast track people like me to finding friends of a similar age to connect with and believe me that is very important at my time of life.

I'm shocked that Bea didn't confess her behaviour in the house was just a 'game plan'. (I think perhaps I gave her too much inteligence credit)

It pains me to say it, but at the interview she came across just a horrible selfish person but yet she seemed so lovely when she first arrived at the house.

If she really is like that, I feel sorry for her friends and family. No wonder her mother didn't want to come on the show.

Personally I think the heading 60+ forum would actually deter anyone much younger to even clicking to open it.
I know that for sure as one of my children is in her 40's !!!!

I've a long time now wished there was one.... it's deffinitely the first place I would head for.

I went back to HMV today and asked about it.

The guy said there was an earlier version but it was now deleted.

Can anyone can tell me if this earlier version is any closer to the original album sound or am I going to have to accept that I won't get to hear it the way I remember it.

The problem is that not many people are left from that era who would possibly remember how it sounded. You would need to be well over 60!

She's been getting bigger and bigger.... she seems to be eating a lot lately and even she has mentioned how much bigger she is getting....

Just now on the live feed, I'm sure I heard some of the housemates asking is she pregnant.

ooooooohhhh,

i love a nice pigs heart stuffed with tripe and brawn!

This sounds interesting.
I've never tried the pigs heart.
However, my dad used to love tripe with vinegar and he would try and coax me to eat some but somehow I could never bring myself to try it....

I loved his smoked eels though and my mum made the best brawn ever!!!!!

Well, this one didn't get the chance....

the turntable is long gone and after hearing the album (as in a collection of songs) on a CD player, I think I want the turntable back!
I'm sure I saw a copy of the original (big plastic disc in a large cardboard cover) album in a music speciality shop the other day.

There was something really special about handling a large album cover with loads of information on the band which I liked to read as I listened.

The CD booklets are so tiny, I almost need a pair of binoculars to read anything in there!

I bought a new copy of the CD 'Crosby Stills & Nash' today. I had the original album years ago and loved it. Looking forward to playing it tonight, I ran the bath and lay back to enjoy a trip down memory lane..... WHAT!?!!!!

It sounds awful! What is going on? On the cover is a silver sticker boasting it is DIGITALLY REMASTERED! What was wrong with the original?

Can it really be my memory?

Or is it my hearing now?

It sounds dull and forced.
I remember it being light and clear.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with this or any other DIGITALLY REMASTERED album?

For me it has lost all it's original quality and there isn't a single track I can honestly say is pleasing to my ears.
It's going straight back to the music store tomorrow and I'm going to see if I can get a copy of the original recording.

cheap day return. You have to travel to and from on the same day but it usually works out just a few pence more than the single.

What takes priority – respect for someone’s culture or your principles?
Posted: 8/19/2009 7:10:25 AM

He was a backbench MP seeking some publicity

I'm a little concerned that this was a an MP.

He was also a friend of the bride and groom and must have know what to expect. It was neither appropriate or acceptable in his position to make such a high profile fuss about it.

He didn't have to accept the invitation if he didn't agree with the ceremonial custom.

The bride and groom had a right to have the wedding of their choice.
In fact I read they did it as a mark of respect for some of the older members of their family.
They put the feelings of others ahead of their own in my opinion and perhaps they would have prefer ed a different type of wedding too but respect for their family and close friends took priority it seems.

We all make sacrifices for the ones we love sometimes.

I read too that the MP and groom are no longer friends.....

I know who I'd give my vote to.

BBBM are on about Ninja Wanking. What have I missed?

but could it have been something to do with the sound affects I heard the other night?
I came home and switched on to watch the live show.....I thought at first there was something wrong with my TV.... and then of course it all became quite clear... the sounds that is. The visual they focused on was completely of something/someone else!

Drama queen Bea is at it again,
"If you can't take it don't give it out"
she shrieked at Marcus who looked bemused at the 'ugly' face she was pulling.
I remembered what Freddy said the other day about that, and he's absolutely right. I think it may have something to do with the lies pouring out of that mouth of hers.

The whole situation just confirmed to Freddy what he already knew, so he burst out laughing.... me too!!!!
It was all for Charlie who gave her the hug she felt she deserved.

It's so plain to see now that Bea's been playing the same game from the start when she called out Tom on the task to have Freddy nominated for eviction gleaning sympathy from the housemates which helped to integrate her with the original crowd.

She was able to lead them all into the crusade to keep Marcus in when she wanted Noirin out.

All that 'best friend' rubbish as she stuck the knife in... during the conversation in the kitchen over Sievash with Noirin and her boyfriend.
Who incidently wouldn't play along with her and so became her enemy.

Is Charlie really that thick that he completely missed her bad mouthing Sievash, Marcus and Freddy in one breath and then, when it suited her, to call them her 'best friends'?
That was all the 'ammo' she needed to get him to fight her corner while she went off to try and squeeze out more tears in the toilet!

Marcus had nothing to do with her 'crying antics'.... she did that all by herself!

And then to top it off.... she goes into the diary room to make sure all 4million viewers or whatever are made quite aware of who she wants out of the house.

I think actually Marcus was being quite kind to her, in letting her know how she may be coming across..... it seems, in her opinion if things are not going her way, her best defence is attack!

Fair game to her though.... she's about the only one with a real game plan who has entered that house and so far it seems to be working for her!

So far it seems anyone who may have been strong enough to expose her has left.

She reminds me a bit of the little girl with the ringlets, played I think, by Bonnie Langford in a tv series years ago; who when she wasn't getting her own way, would cry and cry and cry til she was sick!

Is it may imagination or does Bea twist everything?

I swear she was sitting at the bus stop with Freddy last week telling him how much she hates Dave and can find no common ground with him. Just before all that stuff hit the fan about the ciggies under Marcus's bed.

The next thing she is hugging and looking like she is best mates with Dave and Lisa.

When Siavash talked to her about something she had said to Freddy, she turned it around saying it was Freddy who said it.

Then she went on and on and on and on...... about Freddy accusing her of being negative? huh? wasn't that the other way around?

She kind of barged into the conversation Lisa and David were having... 'a new day, a new beginning without negativity!' she declared and then steered the conversation to bad mouthing Freddy again!

I think she just wants to get him out of the house, because, perhaps in her mind, he is the only person in the way of her winning!

I wonder when the others will see that....
I did laugh though when she got stroppy about the etiquette task, saying she would be the best person for the job as she'd had lessons........ and then Sophie, (bless her) said, 'Yea, I've had lessons too!'

I don't think there is such a thing as a typical testimonial.

as far as yours goes, I thinks it's fine so long as it's what you really think.

However, you could have left this bit off..... it's more about you than her.

when were old
Posted: 8/12/2009 9:13:18 AM
Thanks a bunch OP

Im talking older ladies from 60 up

speaking as an over 60 lady I would say I'm happy to still like the music I grew up with and the hair being while doesn't bother me at all.... in fact I can remember paying out loads of cash to get the same effect when I was a lot younger and has similar thoughts to yourself.
However, the old ladies of my time were once flappers of the Charleston days and I was actually interested in their stories.... did you bother to chat to them?

I think perhaps a word with the DJ may have given you a wider choice of music rather than putting the blame on the listeners.

and where do they get those big glasses from?

Must be some trendy shop, they are top fashion at the moment!

they saw me and my daughter having vegetarian options from the menu they were all looking at us like we were little green men from Mars.

They were probably impressed!
Our faces loose muscle tone and so it's harder to read our true thoughts!!!!

the generation ahead of me were and still are the gaffers for vegetarian food... they had to grow their own during the war years...... most pensioners I know today still grow their own in the garden or have an allotment.

I do remember wondering though what the fashion would be like for the younger people when I became older..... and what a shock!

They still wear their hair the way I used to.
They still wear a lot of the same sort of clothes I used to.
They still listen to the same bands I used to.

I missed some of what was said in the early bit with Marcus and the ciggies... I still don't understand why he had such a go at Bea?

I missed a couple of episodes at the weekend so have they fallen out or something?

One moment she and Freddy were sitting talking about Dave (well, she was) the next Marcus was having a go at her because he thinks he knew what she was thinking about him?

I have to say, I never really got it about Charlie but noticed several people seem to like him from reading this forum.

I never got to the point of liking him and now I know I never will... boy can he talk, talk, talk..... and tell someone to shut up!

What's Wrong With Country Music?
Posted: 8/9/2009 3:24:35 PM
The only thing I can find wrong with it is there isn't enough of it.

I pay my licence fee like 'most' others do... but where is the country station?

It seems to me that people just dis it without really giving it a chance.

I would recommend that you listen to Josh Turner, Hal Ketchum, Jason Allan, Toby Keith, Collin Ray, Alan Jackson, Mark Chesnutt, Rascal Flatts, Danni Leigh, Billy Yates, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Vince Gill, Martina McBride, Zac Brown Band, Willie Nelson and Asleep at the Wheel... just to be going on with.... then come back and give an opinion!

... still not sure? I will be happy to keep on listing til the cows come home !!!!

What a great addition to the forum from clarence clutterbuck Msg: 12

Took me back to the days I spend in 60's London and for a short time was friends with Peter Green and Jeremy Spencer.
I have great memories of their early gigs and loved the music.

It was some years later when the line up changed so dramatically I became a new 'fan' with the Rumours album. I think my husband and I had to replace it, we played it so much. I also had a tape in my car which I'm happy to say I still have and play.

I became hooked on Stevie's voice and love her own album and the song 'Leather and Lace'

They certainly have a knack to stir up emotions.

Yes I agree, they should fix the time and stick to it....

However, I found they repeated it the next morning.

I'm sort of agreeing with message by ~Hams~

I'm sure the house would would be far more interesting if Marcus came out and especially if Davina shows him what his so called 'friends' said about him prior to the entry of Issac.

Bea was rejected by Issac and this is her way to get revenge.... get a gang together and storm the diary room.
what utter rubbish they came out with and was there some hidden message with the towels or was that just to hide their insincerity?

Was it really just a few days ago they reeled off reasons for him to go....?

.... and did anyone notice the gesture Lisa made with her fingers holding the cigarette towards Noirin and Issac in response to the rectum tree so called joke?

update:............ so it's Noirin and boy did Bea look like she was on Belladonna....

I'm now beginning to believe Noirin is an actress sent into the house to baffle everyone, though I think BB must be in on it too because they panned onto her face when the doorbell rang and it looked like she knew what was going to happen. She screamed once when the guy still had his helmet over his head and you couldn't really see who he was and then again when he took it off... hmmmmm

oh but how I rolled with laughter when Sievash came out with.... something like:

and I have to say my hearing sometimes gives me the wrong information

"do I really wanna chat....with the American Arnie? as he slopped off!

this was in response to the invite to have a 'chat' from Noirin's BF.
oh dear me..... sorry to laugh but it was so sweet and so very,.....funny

It's going to be interesting though after the kitchen incident. Bea must know she has been sussed now.

I don't understand why she played the high moral ground card as she made it quite plain she does not believe in monogamy so really she shouldn't be judging others.

Info on York please?
Posted: 7/27/2009 5:05:07 PM
I just heard there was a pof get together in August in York but I can't find anything about it. Does anyone know anything please?
I did a search and this thread came up...

York is one of my favorite places... they have great river trips which would make an excellent social event....

I've missed the weekend shows and only caught the end of tonight so I'd like to thank all the posters for filling me in on what has been happening.
From what I saw tonight it looked like Bea was mixing things a bit for Siavash (he is so sweet and smitten... and so considerate)..... but did you notice the look on Marcus's face when Noirin went past to go to the bedroom.... will have to watch the live show tonight..... 'if looks could kill!!!!'

I do wish Marcus would get a grip.... she never said she wanted a relationship with him and she did say she wanted to stay 'friends' (why bother, Noirin?) so I'm not going to feel sorry for him to have to sit and talk to people he had no time for before. It's his own choice. If he really 'loved' her he would accept what has happened because he would want her to be happy.... isn't that what he kept on saying over the last weeks?

How dare he say things are bang out of order.... "I can't help my feelings", he said to Noirin when she told him they could only be friends...... but he would not accept her explanation about her feelings towards Siavash!

He still seems to demand that he has ownership over her. It was all his fault that Tom left the house due to his insecurities. He spent so much time saying nasty things about him to everyone. Marcus is the nastiest person ever, in every way.
The guy is positively deluded.

I get the feeling he could do some real damage to people if he does not get his own way.
I do hope the BB team are keeping a good eye on all of this.

How stupid are the PRS?
Posted: 7/24/2009 4:57:55 PM
A PRS licence enables an establishment to broadcast music in a public place.

The word broad cast is just that... sending out sound into a space as opposed to individually through headphones. (sorry, I have to chuckle here... I've sat on a bus with people wearing headphones who are certainly breaching the broadcast rules lol!!!!)
A bedroom is an open space whether there is just one person listening or several hundred.... one has to assume the music can possibly be heard by others.

when I was a hospital radio presenter we had to be very careful that we did not allow our program to be heard in a public area as we would have had to pay the full PRS licence which we as a charity had a special arrangement.
This included rest rooms where people other than patients may be able to hear the program. Quite a worry sometimes as it could have incurred a fine or loosing our licence

A DJ would not be expected pay PRS as it is the responsibility of the venue who would claw it back in the rent of the room hire.
However, a DJ would need a PPL licence to play the music. The cost varies on the amount of people listening to the music.

All DJ's are required to fill in a play list of the music with the title and number of the track to enable payment to be made to the artist. Sadly this is not always done and the money is then shared out to 'main' artists. It's therefore really important to make sure one sends in the play lists to ensure the correct people are getting their share.

Radio stations are very careful to list all the details of the music they play so performers get their share.

It's an interesting question OP as when I've stayed in a hotel I have to admit I never noticed a radio..... TV's yes but never a radio on it's own in the last forty or so years.
I do notice though that they charge for the use of the tv sometimes and there are several radio stations in the TV, also music channels.

Perhaps they should ditch the radio?

Noirin and Siavash have feelings for each other. Hmmm, I think it's all FAKE FAKE FAKE.

Not at all, I don't think so........
I just watched the show and those feeling were REAL !!!!! I HONESTLY BELIEVE WHAT I SAW TO BE TRUE!

The funny thing is Siavash invented a girl friend to protect himself from this happening

how absolutely amazing that the LOVE BUG bit them both at the same time! And it's so true that you just can't help those feelings.
Poor Noirin, she tried her best not to even mention his name.... but the longing was there....
(I'm sure there are loads of us who watched her in the diary room remember exactly what she was experiencing... blush, blush!!!!)

Marcus has been a real bad selfish bully through all of this, thinking only of his demands and wants. Even now she was thinking of sparing his feelings when he absolutely didn't deserve it. She has been a much better friend to him than he will ever comprehend.

He really doesn't seem to understand the meaning of 'love'.

The eyes are the door to the soul and all along you could see there was nothing there for him (Marcus) and yet he demanded it and tried to control the situation. Had the Sree episode not happened I doubt very much that Marcus would have got so close to her in the first place.
She has been 'on the run' (emotionally) from the people in the house who have wanted to control her for so long.... it was so nice to hear her say she was 'happy' at last... the fear she must have had to endure is now thankfully over for her.

seems to be all around, it was a good move by BB to bring in new blood... I do like Bea

I posted before reading to the end of the list and see others have mentioned similar things about the pills...

about Marcus though, I don't think I normally judge by the cover but in his case I get the creeps.... the vest and general sort of aura he seems to give out is dirty in every way... I'm sure there must be people who are turned on by that but not me and I am really happy to believe he would equally be turned off by someone like me please God!...( were I in his age group sort of thing.... not now of course!!!!)
anyway,

It was just the last straw when he hoicked up his bum to extend his leg for leverage in the arm wrestling contest with (is it) Tom? who just sat there obviously relaxed as he 'defended' his position.
But I suppose I should thank him for the laughs he has given me... "No I didn't" was his reply when accused of doing it.

About Lisa and Freddy above ^^
It's not really fair for someone to use that as a reason for an eviction nomination. I remember in the early series' that would not have been acceptable.

Surely there have been times when people have walked before and the evictions still went ahead? I don't see what would have been wrong with allowing people to continue to vote.

In the past the eviction did go ahead and we never saw anymore of the person who went over the wall.... makes one wonder what is going on with the rules, why should he have his glory day with Davina?

I noticed above ^^^someone thought there was some conspiracy with the contraception pill.... as everyone know, you have to take them every day for them to work and she had obviously missed a few already. Any normal person would just go to the clinic or doctor to replace them as soon as you realized they were missing. It really doesn't ring true. And what's the big deal, her boyfriend is not around, got to be a good thing for your body to give the pill a rest. In fact why would she have needed to take the pill while she was in the house?

Lisa is 10 times worse..................

yes and I think people have started to notice it.

.....................someone plz evict Lisa.

the sad thing is that Lisa did get put up for eviction but it was voided after some of the housemates crazy plan;

but did you see the look on her face?
I think it blew her mind to hear she had been nominated and I notice she has kept a really low profile since, and been especially nice to everyone.

I have to agree with above posting^.... and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that about Marcus. I really don't see what he seems to see about himself.

I really enjoyed catching up on the show. I was away for a bit staying with friends who just don't watch anything I like to watch and it was so great to have a good laugh tonight.

The new girl though, with the 'secret task' has not really explained to the others that they would just be nominated for eviction and not actually evicted. I kept wondering why not a single one of them had gone to the diary room to check the conditions of the task, I know I would have after hearing her stumble through the explanation.

in answer to nicolaseven on why I said Davina is an idiot...

it was just the way she summed up Freddy's analysis.
she seemed to want to make him sound stupid; but because he actually made complete sense, it was she who looked the idiot she was trying to make him out to be.

He made it all so very clear and easy to understand and I admire how he handled the situation later when confronted by Sophie and Kris (Chris? sorry, not sure how they spell his name).

I think you are just brilliant wafta! you are right on the nail.....

I say the Shepherd needs to be removed, it'd be interesting to see what the mindless little sheep would do without her there to think for them. I mean, what was she thinking when she was singing "the lights are on, but you're not home. You're mind is not your own"?!!
this has got to be my favorite quote ever !!!!!

Davina is an idiot!

I think Freddy just summed up the house absolutely right just now...

Her summation somehow lost the plot and I do hope someone points it out to her.. or perhaps she is playing her own little game now that it's all been exposed and shown for what it is.

Surly there must be some house rule and punishment for eaves dropping on the nominations?
How come nobody noticed what Sophie was up to?

Marcus did vote, he was immune.

sorry, thanks for putting me straight.... I seem to have a very short memory span...

I do wish BB would give Freddy and Sophie back their real names... I feel it's so degrading for them and we may even see a different side to these two characters.

...........look what it did for Norine

note to BB... please bring back the specs... she was a much nicer person

Michael Jackson Has Died?
Posted: 6/26/2009 5:49:50 AM
I wanted to put my thoughts down on this thread last night and was so overwhelmed by all the negative things people had written.
I felt I could not be associated with writers of such venom....
then I remembered to do nothing was to give way to people who say, think and do nasty things and let them get away with it. In doing that, they will never learn there are other people in this world who don't share their thoughts....

Michael Jackson was a human being who was totally exploited and tried his best to explain his way. He was found NOT GUILTY !!!!

He was a very talented Mega Star who gave pleasure to millions of people all over the world. Of this, he was GUILTY !!!!

I was happy to take my young daughter to see him perform on his Bad Tour gig at Roundhay Park, Leeds some years ago....

long live the music

With regard to Marcus:

The guy is a bell end with a very high opinion of himself [which I don't share].

The self proclaimed " Captain Cool " is the single most uncool person I've ever had the misfortune to lay eyes on.

somebody please hide those vests away....

He gives me the creeps with his big frog eyes leering at the ladies and uncouth remarks. He's got no class and no clue.

you said it all for me... you must have been reading my mind !!!!

I feel better now I've got that off my chest.

me too

I just wish Sree (is that how you spell it?) got just one more nomination.... he seemed so pleased with the result, I'm sure he has no idea how close he came to being on the list. In fact I think if Marcus had been able to vote, the outcome would have been quite different.
