I feel like science uses the word knowledge to loosely, actually the term science gets used to loosely. One of the few things I can actually KNOW in life is that I exist. How do I know? As St. Augustine tells us, even if I were to be mistaken about my existence, that would mean that I do exist and am therefore correct about my existence. I couldnt be wrong unless I exist, I couldnt be anything unless I exist; non-existence is the absence of all. By definition, non-existence iteself does not exist, so there is no such thing as non-existence. So existence must be infinite without seperation from itself, because the only thing that can stop existence is non-existence and its impossible. So if non-existence is impossible, then not only is existence never stopping, it could have never been started either. There could never have been non-existence , because it doesnt exist. even if you wanna say theres no proof that non-existence cant be(which is simple-minded at best), non-existence could never turn into existence. 0+0=0. Non-existence plus non-existence could never equal existence. What property would non-existence have that could "create"? If it did, then it couldnt infact be non-existence. So we KNOW there was always ONE existence. but how did it change into what we are today? 1+0=1. there couldnt have always been 2 that exist, because there is nothing to seperate them. The only way mathematically the system could work is if the ONE "desired" change and therefore willed it into existence. What ever that ONE is (which im not even speculating) becomes GOD- -the ONE which from ALL comes. So to say that some form of GOD does not exist is to go against mathematics, WHO'S SIDE IS SUPPORTED BY REASON AND SCIENCE?

OU, worry or panic? Posted: 9/7/2009 8:14:21 AM
After losing the home opener against BYU, is it time for Oklahoma to start panicing? BYU is a ranked team, and OU did lose their QB, but that was at the end of the first half and they weren't crushing BYU. Their QB is likely to miss 3 weeks, another loss fully eliminates OU from a sniff at the National Title. Even when they get Bradford back, UT will be waiting for them. Is there any reason to believe OU can even compete with the Longhorns, or OSU for that matter? OU lost most of its O-line last year, and I dont think they are capable of the High-powered offense weve come to expect from them. OU is looking at 3 losses this season, with potential for more. If your a OU fan are you worried about the loss, or are you paniced about the season?

This understanding has been around way before Jesus' time, and is even found in eastern philosophy. However, we can use REASON and other facts of information to see how Jesus is unique. He was prophosized about before He came, with immaculate accuracy. He preformed miracles that thousands of eyewitness testify to. And most important, He reserected Himself. Not just to his friends, hundreds of people saw Jesus after His death. Including His very enemies who wished Him dead and then fought to the death for His word after the resurection.

I totally agree with you scorpio, the possible stories that future generations may conjure are endless. [I see that many people worship a man called jesus... They believe that he was not just a good man. They believe he was the son of God.... Your forward thinking opens up an interesting question (obviously). What if a newspaper covering the death and journey of David Koresh (the Waco massacre) were to accidentally fall between two sheets of metal and be accidentally buried for thousands of years as the world around forgot and continued on it's self destructive path?... Once the dust had settled, a new civilization may grow and dig like we do.... They may uncover that newspaper and believe that Mr. Koresh was indeed the second coming of an even more ancient man called Christ.] This very post deals with Jesus' teachings. Jesus could have went into a cave and written a giant book by himself, telling us the story of God and how we as humans should behave. The problem with this is that future generations would be limitied to their translations of his word. Thats why it was so cruical for Jesus to speak in parables, so that no matter the elapsed time, the moral of the story will always be available to us. Also why Jesus started his church with people, so it could be passed down throughout time. Not just a written word that word lose its meaning. Jesus is in us. As long as humans are here, his teachings can never be silenced. "You Simon are rock, and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hades shall never overcome it"

OLD SOUL: im not sure what the elephant cat thing is, unless it was a joke. I never claim to KNOW the truth about too much, and I never take the word to lightly. But there is no doubt and i KNOW with certanity, that God exist. You can be one of two things: existence or non-existence, there is no other possibility Non-existence cant exist, thats what it is, non-existence! The only thing that can seperate one existence from another is non-existence, and again, non-existence cannot be. There is no seperation in exisistence, it is ONE. A man, a horse, a star, we are all connect through existence with nothign seperating us (except illusion to our senses). c was the start of d b was the start of c a was the start b Can this go on forever? No The boundless has no beginning and no end. Non-existence can never exist, so there can not be and end to existence GOD IS EXISTENCE!!

elephants exist, pink exist, dancing exist. You prove the point you were against. You can speak of non-existence, because by its very definition, it does not exist. If there was ever nothingness, then there would have been nothing to change its essence. There had to always be existence, whatever that was is GOD. "I am who AM". You dont have to believe what people tell you about God, but you cant rationally argue His existence. If you want to find out who He really is, just search the truth.

Atoms do exist, but there not the smallest particle. Not even close. In truth there can not be a smallest particle, cause this would mean that where those two particles met, non-existence would have to be. Non-existence is impossible! There is no seperation, all of existence is ONE. Dont confuse the term matter with the term existence. Existence is all there is, the definition of non-existence is that it does not exist. So we are all connected through existence. I know this contradicts motion: My theory is that what we call energy runs through all existence, including ourselves. Since there is no seperation, motion is impossible. So motion must be just a transfer of that energy. Motion is an oppitcal illusion, since we cant see the essence of existence/energy, it appears to our eyes, that things move from one unoccupied space to the next, but this is impossible, cause existence/energy is always there.

Kobe's still gonna get his points, but the Rockets make him shoot and dont let him go to the basket, so he cant dish the ball. Aaron Brooks is to much for Fisher. The one weakness I see, is Von Waffier is getting shut down by that Bushchev guy, or however you spell it. Rockets took home court and thats all they needed. Lakers aint gonna come get one in CLUTCH CITY!!

These two teams have by far the most depth of any other playoff teams, this should be the NBA finals. When the Rockets beat Clevland it wasnt even close. It was the Cavilers 2nd biggest loss of the season

My point that i made, which was not the principal of site, That even though some women can do some stuff better than some men, at the top of the list is a man. This really has nothing to do with the point of the thread, but was brought up to defend an argument!Some women in the military can shoot, but if u look at the best of the best its a man!! first, i dont give a sh*t about ur sister, and the bad choices she made!!! Its not a slave, the women gets paid sor staying home and taking care of the house(by a real man). The women gets anything she wants and the man drops everything in a sec to take care of her needs and wants!! In return she cooks meals for him, make sure he comes home to a clean house, and raises the kids!! Its a great relationship, that the bible preaches!! When you say vows in a CHURCH, the man says love honor and respect. The women says love honor and OBEY!! Why not vote for men? Men have given women every right they have!!

First of all lots of women pull their weight, my mom stays at home and keeps the house for my dad and brothers!! Yes, even in the medical field women are inferior. Especially in my medical field which requires more than working in a hospital!!
