Racecity this Saturday

LATE MODELS AT RACE CITY ON SATURDAY NIGHT
Legends and NASCAR Stockers on the Same Card

The high-banked half-mile oval track at Race City will roar back to life this weekend with one of the wildest AUTO VALUE Saturday Night Stocks shows of the season.

Headlined by the Border Challenge 150, the first 2007 appearance of the NEWALTA Late Models at Race City this year, this race is an important stop on the NEWALTA series championship trail and should attract nearly 30 of Western Canada¹s top Late Model stock car teams.

Late Model stock cars are pure racing cars with powerful V8 engines, purpose-built tube chassis and fiberglass bodies. They are capable of screaming around the very fast Race City oval in under 17 seconds.

Another exciting class is the Mac¹s Legends Cars, 5/8ths scale replicas of '30s coupes and coaches powered by high-revving motorcycle engines. Legends Cars run on very hard highway-type tires and that makes these little screamers a real handful on the Race City high banks.

Race City¹s feature NASCAR Stock Car class are back in action for track, provincial and national points. The racing in this division has been very close this year and the championship is too close to call.

SATURDAY spectator gates open at 6pm.
AUTO VALUE Saturday Night Stocks action begins at 7pm

The night will be capped off with a fireworks show

A co worker car got hit and run and a nebour ir witnessed it and gave my coworker the plate # of the hit and runner. He called the cops and repaorted it to the police.10 days later my cower called and asked if they had the culprits insurance info for his insurance company. The cops told him "we can't work miracles we've phoned him 3 times".My question is why didn't they arrest him for hit and run?Figure that out...

Good tasting protein powder
Posted: 1/20/2007 1:09:27 AM
yes you can get protein from that, but fats come with it and it's not concentrated protein. What happens is when you work out you tear muscles and acids fill the void thats why you hurt.protein is energy to repair muscles and energy.

Businesses and people pay me to advertise on my racecar and 28 foot trailer. The commitments include public displays at car shows and company functions. It's a tough deal to convince a company to give you money to put on a vehicle. If you find an easy way let me know I need a couple new sponsors....Shoulda bought a Chevy...

Car problems
Posted: 12/30/2006 11:35:15 PM
I am a mechanic and if a ignition coil or fuel pump failed it would still crank over.To die at a light and not crank it is a power supply problem unless some mechinacal problem is siezing the engine.Tammy send me a email is the car at home or did you tow it to a shop?Duffy is right the main power wire may have come loose down at the starter if the battery is still fully charged.

Car problems

Honestly without having a look at the car its pretty hard to tell.Did the alternator or battery light come on before the car died?If you boost it does it crank over?

Idiot light Expense!!
Posted: 12/21/2006 9:54:40 PM
actually in most causes thats why the light turns on is the circuit is not complete, when and sensor or switch cannot complete and circuit it must get to a ground which turns on the warning light and sets a ecm code.Remember the problem is not the little annoying light something else is wrong.Sometimes it something that may not effect the way the car operates but it will effect emissions and fuel economy.Best bet is to have it checked out.

Idiot light Expense!!
Posted: 12/21/2006 7:51:53 PM
I got to step in here and say as a "auto technician" it isn't us it's the maufacturers, the cost of parts and door rates are insane. The main cause of raising door rates relates back too business overhead, which is not only the insane cost of utillities but the cost of special tools. They are designing and building these cars so you need a 200 dollar tool to change a wiper blade,it's crazy. On another note the guy that thawed your washer pump out was a idiot because your washer pump cracked when the fluid froze in it,happens 95% of time.Dealers also raise their prices due the amount of warranty claims happening same with overall car purchases,it is unbelievable what some people complain about and we simply can't fix because thats the way it is.I will give you example= -30degc my brakes squeal first few stops when cold-We can't fix that because we no longer have asbestos brake pads for obvious reason, brake pads are now made of metallic or ceramic composites and will make some noise until they reach operating temp. You can tell a customer that and they will come back tommorow complaining of the same thing. But hey if I paid 70grand for a sport utility I wouldn't be happy as well,it's a no win situation for me or you..

You may just able to power buff them out,If not for power coating I use Top Gun Coatings for all my racing stuff,You can paint stainless you need to use an etching primer first and wolud probably be cheaper.
