I just want to say Ive been with selfish men in the past and I have always been a pleaser sooo I think you should just back off a little and let him know youre there for him BUT he also needs to know you need yours also!!!Sound like hes being lazy and after such a short time you might need to rethink the siutation..good luck to you and be kind to YOU!!!

We do make wonderful partners because weve been through the ups and downs of life and lived and hopefully learned from it...Some of us wanted the picture perfect marriage and children routine and got that,but it wasnt like in "Home Beautiful"...........sighhhhhhh..but now that the smoke has cleared we are pretty great even at this ripe ol" age...I liked this post and feel we have so much to offer our partners now and even more so,cause lifes' experiences are the best teachers!

I just turned 59 yesterday,for some reason I just feel old!! I dont think I look my age does any of us lol!!butttttttttt............... I really have to make this year THE year,kids are all grown and life is basically good and I have tons of blessings ..........I care for a 90 year old lady whose still got all her marbles and is realively healthy so I feel maybe 30 more good years if the good Lord is willing lol but its just 59 sounds like old to me remember when 30 sounded old lol...is 59 really the new 49????????or does people say that just to make themselves feel younger lol anyway if you can relate to this tell me your thoughts....

YES we do and men can make those meals once in awhile also..I cooked for a very long time for a family and that was back in the day,but I still like to a few times a week fortunately I have a guy who loves to get in hte kitchen also but Lordy he makes a mess!!but then its usually very good and worth my cleaning up hey fairs fair..I raised my daughters to cook also so their sweeties have the benefit of a mom who liked making homemade meals...

well I dont like the smell and dont care to partake myself ,but my guy does do it ,has for many years ,he doesnt get "Stoned" and he has alot of medical issues and his dr does know about his use, soo I guess I will be happier when it is legalized for my sake and it wont be so expensive...!!!!Ive had to really rethink this subject like do u you want to disregard a decent caring man for his habit?????ummmmm I guess I tolerate it but the smell does really get to me he smokes far far away when he does do it..just my humble opinion...

Im wondering if anyone else in this age group are having problems with their teeth...I am not looking forward to having dentures but that looks like its going to be my only option...I had a condition that really messed up my hair growth nails and now teeth...could anyone tell me their experiences and if dentures can be ok...Im so self conscience about this it makes me feel really ancient!!!

My post is a questions of sorts..I met a man less than a year ago...There were problems from the get go, but I tried to overlook them and I thought I had learned to live with them...He smokes alot cigs plus....he says it mellows him out and has been a practice for a long time ..hes 59...he was an army vet and hes suffered several medical injuries... There are times when it just flys all over me (like this morning) when right off the bat after he rolls out of bed he lights up...today it bothered me..!! I know if a person is right with something they have to be right ALL the time with it,but this isnt the case with me... He also sometimes seems unkept,he seems to always need a haircut,and he dresses kinda funky...lol his shorts are too short and his white socks takes aways from the clogs..IM serious...his nails are always dirty,and I do give him a manicure reguarly...he says they just get dirty!!!ALOT...especially the pointer finger lol it gets Real yellow!!!anyway is it like throwing the baby away with the bathwater???? For the long haul could this work?????? He does have some good qualities but are the negatives to much????

Loved this thread so many good memories!!We went as kids and the park and the intermissions were so much fun and the snack bar!! Dating we'd park in the last row and as the kids came we were closer and closer to the screen!! The girls are grown now and still talk about the fun they had being in their jammies and me popping a whole brown bag of popcorn(trying to save money even then !!)...my grands have yet to go but this summer we are doing it!!!! quite a ride to the nearest one here but well worth the trip!!Thanks for this one op!! My daughters boyfruiends,and husband have never been to the drive-in OH well thats gonna change LOL they had never been camping either and now LOOOOVE it!!

Hi! I am currently dating a very loving,wonderful guy...However he has a few habits that do bother me...It has gotten so bad that I have went overboard in repeating my suggestions over and over LOL..This really gets to him and I need to FIND A WAY FOR THESE THINGS NOT TO BOTHER ME SO MUCH,BUT IT IS VERY DIFFICULT... We are older and hes got a habit from war days that I have a problem with..the smell mostly, as it doesnt seem to affect him like it does most people. He says he uses it for pain and just to stay level ...ok...I have kinda gotten use to it,he keeps it away from me so thats better at least ,he refuses to quit... Some of the other things are the question I have???????..He wears his hair to long for my taste,as well as he seems to always have dirt under his nails!!!He uses a nail brush alot but tells me ,what do you want me to do carry the thing around with me in my pocket!! He does have a point...but I hate dirty nails...!!!!:help Are these control issues ??????and I JUST need to shut my mouth and just go with the flow...I do find it hard some days to just be quiet when it does irritate me to no end!!!I dont want to nag the poor guy to death... just need some kind advice from the pof gang..

...........I was abstinent for a yr..The guy that forced me into that state had cheated on me and instead of trusting or throwing myself into another situation,I took a deep beath,cried my tears and stayed abstinent!! Ive seen many others just pick up the next available person to throw themselves into to get over the last one!!! I think we all to need to step back,BREATHE and ask ourselves what did we learn about this??? Not all relationships end badly,however and one can take as much or as little time needed to regroup.. Im very particular with who I make love with so being abstinent is no stretch,when Im not in a commited relationship!!Good thread..I wish you the best!! And I too was told to stop looking!!LOL I always said Im not LOOKING!!!
