Councilman Wants Birth Control for Pigeons

In my neck of the woods we need Birth Control for DEER. They're a frickin road hazard, there's WAY too many of them, they are stupid, they eat your garden and they can kill ya if you're in a small car.

would u stay?
Posted: 3/4/2008 6:51:31 PM
Such is the result of a society with insane false religious beliefs that are contrary to our basic being/biology. But if there is true love there it will succeed anyways. Sex is just sex, while it is really fun, when you get to the bottom of it it's mundane. I wouldn't stay , it could get really scary. But After some time the true state of things will be ironed out, so keep the faith

how does one overcome the fear of getting hurt again
Posted: 2/13/2008 2:13:56 PM
IMO most people that get hurt got into the relationship for the wrong reason to begin with (usually physical attraction without that mental spark). This is gonna sound harsh I guess, but I see only one way. You have to stop attachment (clinging) from anyone you date ; but this doesn't mean you should not date more and even have sex (we are biological entities at least right now -for chrissakes!).

But if there is an attraction which is not physical (or in addition to the physical, even better) - that spark which I can't describe, then prepare to have some attachment, but only prepare, and go slooow. Any obsession is bound to end in misery.

Get to know yourself, and if you have to, there is no problem in my mind with casual-ish sex, just be safe, emotional over-attachment is a BAD thing, and prevents you from knowing yerself.

A message from God? Or not?

Simple reply. Do you really want a serious relationship with someone who receives life instruction from an imaginary friend? And one who is clearly psychopathic, violent, and "jealous" (just read the old testament); I thought not.

Music for Intelligence and Positivity

Hey re. Bluegrass, most of it is not very good, but you just have to be selective.

Go for the real thing. The weird thing, my 2 fav types of music right now might be considered contradictory, and will probably make you laugh. Bluegrass and Funk.

For bluegrass, check these 2 out and they will blow your mind, sheer musical ability without the cliches.

Del McCoury - Deeper Shade of Blue (album)
David Grisman - especially the earlier stuff

Funk: IMO there is nothing better than Parliament Funkadelics Mothership Connection album.

You're right, upbeat/melodic metal can kill a bad mood before it gets worse.
Check out Iron Maiden 7th son....and anything from the band Clutch. Clutch' drummer is John Bonham reincarnated IMO

rock on.

For some reason, when I want music that will get me out of crappy moods. I reach for the heavier stuff.

Try the Scorpions... Tokyo Tapes....possibly the best live album ever created.
The songmasters from germany. Still kickin today.
Meat Puppets....mid 90s material
Iron Maiden...7th son ...
Rory Gallagher.....way better than clapton, an Irish genius on the guitar
Clutch....anything they ever did, they can sound "angry" but they just groove like crazy

just some ideas, your mileage may vary.

Hey, you have almost my identical tastes in music. So let me preach some bands you may or may not listen to that I know you will like right now.

Meat Puppets...anything from the 90s
Clutch...anything they ever did
Rory Gallagher...makes clapton look like a baby,

HAS ANYBODY ELSE NOTICED

Looniness can be fun, if it is done in a constructive manner. By "constructive" I would mean someone who is willing to channel that loony energy into expressions of freedom, basically thumbing their nose at society's conventions, stomping on social brainwashing, trashing american yuppie-type vegan stupidity, etc.

And someone who is willing to actually MEEt in person....very few online dweebs belong to this club.

does anyone get as turned off with a smoker as i do?
Posted: 9/14/2007 11:20:28 AM
Here's what turns me off, weenie whiny little wussies who frequent internet-dating web sites and whine about smokers. If you've missed your yoghurt enema today, please suppress the urge to spout your hangups in a public fashion.

And please consider this fact: smokers don't actually give a sh*t what you think about them, and you're probably too anally-retentive, white, whiney, and feeble-minded to consider from the get-go.

I know, it's a blow to your self-importance, now back to your daytime television.

Besides, when you're 80yrs old being spoon-fed mush by your children, spending 1000s daily on medication, we'll have long been gone to some better dimension. And we'll enjoyed ourselves by simply avoiding your types that stare in the mirror all day so anally retentive, homogenized and domesticated that they can't sit down for fear of sucking up the furniture.

date a girl who doesn't believe Dinosaurs existed?
Posted: 9/14/2007 10:41:06 AM
I guess I should clarify my response. I am assuming that this person believes dinosaur bones were placed on the earth by "god" to "test our faith". Don't laugh, I have run into people that believe just this. As well as one who thinks "satan" put them there to trick us.

You see, satan is gods personal scapegoat, sorta like Bin Laden, "now isn't that convenient" (as church-lady says).

It all works so well when you ignore the science and invent new characters.

Here's my reply to these brainwashed "christian" nutcases. Your mythological "god" is a violent evil psychopath, complete with "satan" as the imaginary friend scapegoat. Ever hear the story of Abraham and his son? Not to mention Jacob and Esau, constant "calls to arms" to annihilate the "bad guys" (those who don't believe in your fictional book), a flood which killed everyone (which "god" later said he was "sorry about"), etc etc.

So there is an even larger issue here, beyond the low IQ involved. In any well-run universe, the Judeo-christian "god" would have been FIRED long ago, and asking people "fries with that?" full time.

So the whole theory is a mess, no better than astrology, and since the "meaning of life" may be vaguely important (if there is a "meaning", which is doubtful- and the meaning will vary with the individual). Personally, Advaita does it for me, more specifically the thoughts of the great indian teacher : Nisargadatta.

Back to the point.....if you value intelligence and personal growth...go elsewhere.

Internet dating: sucks for guys, good for women.
Posted: 9/14/2007 9:49:55 AM
quoted from an earlier reply:

-----------
I have sent messages to women without any photos- no reply, and I have sent a very polite message to one particular girl, just one message and she just deleted it and blocked me. I did an experiment a while ago, I took a photo of a guy who had a 9.4 out of 10 rating in attractiveness and made a profile with it, a very boring stupid profile with hardly any writing in it and the day I put it up I got over 25 e-mails and was bombarded with IM's constantly. Compare that to my own real profile- a good looking, educated, white male with a well written profile and I've gotten that many e-mails in a year. Shows how superficial women are. Girls judge you by your photo and that's it for the majority of them

--------------

Hilarious, and no doubt right on target.

Thanks for sharing this experiment....but I also think it goes both ways....man, there are tons of shallow men in america as well. Nonstop diet of brainwashing tv commercials with skinny blonde women put up by gay male advertising execs who like their women to look like men and keep quiet.

Just look at the number of morons with american flags or "yellow ribbons" on their SUV's.

Still looking for a woman that doesn't buy into all this crap....

AMEN.

Congratulations, you pass the intelligence exam. The statistics are deplorable, and the irritating part is that I suspect it is the same with "real" 1-on-1 dating. Think how easy it must be to go through life as an attractive female who flaunts it, due to societal brainwashing on "roles" of man vs woman.

Thats why I NEVER expect anything real/concrete from these sites as a male, unless the female just loves your photo and just happens to be your type--its all statistics and they arent pretty when you reach my age, LOL. But these forums are interesting to me.
