How Do I message Bigfish to Move a Thread To the Party Forum?
Posted:
7/24/2007 10:08:59 AM
I created a thread advertising a gathering that I am hosting. One of the steps in making it a party thread is to message a head honcho on here named "Bigfish"? How do I do that?
If I'd have known I would have to jump through a bunch of needless hoops, I wouldn't have chosen to make known the event on this site.
HOWEVER...
If anyone can help me with complete this step, I will attempt to carry it through. Thanks for any help that anyone offers.

whats there to do in Boca Raton?

Well I'm not exactly in Boca but Hollywood's not too far from there. Here you can find concerts galore at our Hollywood Broadwalk Bandshell located on the beach. If you want nightlife, there's Las Olas in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Gambling, we have the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, with 500 hotel rooms (about $499 a night, isn't that nice of them to be offer these rooms at such a deep discount?). Anyways, enjoy your stay in South Florida.

The people creating this child porn are the ones who are the worst. Maybe theirs should be cut off, surgically reattached, then cut off again...lol

why do men just want sex
Posted:
2/21/2007 1:39:00 PM
If you believe that all men are just out to get sex, then consider this: If most men were just desperate for sex, I think they could find better ways to get it, than to come to an online dating site, looking for it.
Corresponding with a lady, for several months, that you met online, and taking the time to build and nurture a friendship with her entails alot of effort. I don't believe it is something a guy would want to waste too much time with, if he didn't really have a interest in that. That would be a heck of a lot of trouble to go through just to score a night in bed. Don't you think?
Granted, there ARE some men who obviously are in it just to hop in the sack with someone (as is evident by some of the e-mails I've seen women post that they've received from some hornytoad somewhere), however, I am quite frankly sick of all of us men being lumped together into some perv category. We are NOT all like that. I know I certainly am not.

Where are the men who like big girls?
Posted:

Well, I gotta tell you Imatwork, I'm a guy who likes BBW's. There are many guys that do. I don't place that much emphasis on physical looks, but honestly a few extra pounds is far more attractive to me, than someone who is so thin, it looks like they've starved themselves. Keep looking, you'll find your man.:)

I respond to every email I get, even the nigerian scammers get a polite brush off, and just so you know Im nice to telemarketers too. I figure if someone is going to take the time to read my profile and take the time to write they at the very least deserve acknowledgement for their efforts.
Reply:
Nigerian scammers and telemarketers are a different ballgame. I admit I am NEVER polite to Nigerian scammers because they are just working hard at trying to steal my life savings from me. IMHO, people who would try to steal from me, do not deserve to be treated politely.

My view is, if you e-mail someone you are interested in, and they don't e-mail back (like say.. because.. they are not interested) then that's a good enough sign for me. It's not rude; it just means they're not interested! I'd rather be ignored then receive a rude reply back! I personally respond to nearly every e-mail I receive (unless it's a rude one), but I can definitely understand how this could be impractical if someone receives about 200 a day.

It's simple. 90 percent of the people coming on here have excessively high expectations. They are hoping to snare the person of their dreams. Problem is, just about everyone else in the world is hoping to as well. That's what causes these "in-demand" people to turn out to be some of the least desirable, and the least attractive on the inside. We've been swelling their egos, and as a result, they're also the hardest people to please, as well as hard to deal with. These are the last people you really want to date, or correspond with - and yet we keep chasing after them in a quest to fulfill our shallow/materialistic delusions.
Men, quit thinking you're going to meet Madonna. Ladies, quite thinking you're going to meet Donald Trump. Get off the beaten path and forge a new one, with more reasonable "down-to-Earth" expectations (there's that phrase again "down-to-earth", everyone seems to use it, but nobody seems to know what it really means).

I heard on the news tonight a way to get a human quickly on the telephone ... in other words, there is a list available that will give you information on how to bypass all that crap ... all the prompts.

What usually works for me is I just enter invalid information or I don't press anything at all. Typically, this causes the computer to transfer me over to a human. It doesn't always work, but in many cases, it does.

If there are really wemen out there that truely want a "nice" guy I simply haven't met one yet.
You have to search really really hard. Admittedly, they are hard to find. The Internet is probably not a good place. Most folks who come here have very lofty expectations, though they don't always express them in their profiles.

nurse1diane, I seriously doubt that YOU would be flattered if some guy stalked you in a grocery store or called you at home and asked to do certain things to your private parts. If it is not ok for a guy to do that to a woman (obviously it's not and it shouldn't be), why should it be ok for a guy to do that to another guy???

why are men so rude to women, judging them by looks
Posted:
1/8/2007 6:28:27 PM
Not all men are like this, and not all women are NOT like this. While women seem to place a high priority on the financial stability (i.e. $$$$) that a man has, it's pretty clear that how physically attractive a guy is plays a significant role. I don't know how many times I've seen someone post something in a forum like "I'm looking for a blond-haired blue eyed guy, with car, job, between ages 29-33" - as if they were placing an order out of a Sears & Robuck catalogue.
I can tell you that for me, the way a person looks isn't everything. The personality is a very important trait to me! I'd much prefer a woman who wasn't mean, or demanding, and had a personality that agreed enough with mine to where we could entertain ourselves with each other. I don't care how drop dead gorgeous a woman is, if she's stuck-up about herself or just plain has a crappy attitude, then that's just a real turn-off, and that just about trumps everything else. I could NEVER fall in love with that, let alone be attracted to it.

What's your definition of Down to Earth
Posted:
1/5/2007 12:47:06 AM
To me, "down to earth" is someone you get along with easily. You can have conversations with them about all sorts of things that you maybe couldn't have with others. They enjoy doing ordinary things with ordinary people. They are unique like everyone is, and yet they are normal enough that it is possible to get to know them and have a real friendship with them. They don't need to hide behind some phony facade. They are real people and they let they let it show - and you can easily tell. They're lives are not complicated, or convoluted. And they don't play mind games with you. In a nutshell, they're just folks who are straight forward and easy to figure out.

Can MEN really be friends with WOMEN???
Posted:
12/28/2006 7:16:46 AM
Yes, Legs, that's definitely possible. I became friends with a lady, and after awhile we got involved. The relationship lasted five months. She broke up with me a year ago, but we remain friends to this day - and we're both happy as friends. I'm not saying this is always the case, but sometimes it happens. It's the underlying friendship that forms the basis for a relationship, not the other way around. I guess you both just have to be honestly willing to accept friendship.

Easy way for women to double interested men

I don't smoke. Never have. Never will. However, I don't think I'd have a problem kissing someone who did. It's kissing someone after they eat a piece of cake that gets to me. There's something about chocolate breath that I can't stand! (okay, now where's that puke emoticon)

Well, cowgirl, it looks like you have a lot of people here who are willing to help you out with whatever issues are going on in your life, so I will just leave it to them to give it a try. I hope they will be able to help you find the answers you are looking for; somehow I have a feeling you will find the answers.:) It is so nice to know that whenever you need someone to talk to, it is so easy to find someone who will. Easy way for women to double interested men
Posted:

Any time a woman post pics showing lots of skin, I betcha they'll quintuple the amount of responses they get from interested men. That's what most guys seem to be primarily after, although they don't want to admit it. All you have to do is ask any particularly attractive lady. Whether she smokes or not (along with everything else) seems to take a back seat to that.

How do you feel about giving panhandlers money?
Posted:
12/22/2006 3:13:08 PM
the more i read on this topic the more incensed i get...
Well, one thing that causes me to get incensed beyond words is hearing in the news, things like how four teenagers decided they wanted to go set a homeless man on fire, or how they slowly beat one to death with a baseball bat "for fun". Or they did it because they felt they "wanted to clean they streets of trash".
It is a very sad day when we feel we need to treat people like criminals or worthless pieces of garbage, just because they are poor.
You are NOT a criminal just because you are homeless. You are NOT a piece of garbage just because you can't find a place to live. IMHO, the people who treat homeless people like this are the ones who really deserve such titles.

Well, I can understand giving food, clothes etc. to homeless person in lieu of money, if you think they are going to just use it to buy drugs, cigarettes or alcohol. There ARE people who are down on their luck, so when they are out holding a sign asking for money, they last thing they need is a judgmental person calling them a lazy bum. Sometimes, compassion is a better answer, rather than "fair is fair". Remember, this could happen to anybody - this means you (whoever you are reading this), or me, or anybody. I give to homeless people whenever I can. Whenever I see one, I give them the spare change out of my pocket. I figure that's the least I can do.
Like FloridaDad, however, I'd prefer to give them food, but I don't always have the time to do that, so I'll just give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they will use the money I give them to go buy a meal. On the other hand, if someone is providing a service to you for what you are paying them (homeless or not), IMO, it's their business how they spend that money.
