BTW From my experience with kids, they are smarter than you think. I'd bet they already know someone spends the night. When I started seeing my ex wife we did a similar sort of thing. I would just get up and leave before the kids got up and show up for breakfast every morning. After a few weeks the 5 year old invited me to live with them if I was going to be there all the time.

I suppose you could frame it it a certain way. Ask him how he would feel if you offered him a key. It might make him feel that you are giving a chance to be with you more without making him feel pressured as much. Don't panic if he doesn't accept.

I once worked for a woman who made a really big deal about the shoes her employees wore. I worked in the paint department and she still wanted us wearing decent shoes when we wore our uniforms off the grounds. However she did reimburse us for the extra pair of shoes as long as we didn't go out in public with the paint covered ones. She said shoes were the first thing she looked at when she interviewed a potential employee.

We're guys so that means we're fairly dense sometimes. I'm denser than most but a text asking if I wanted to see you again would bring me running. Sounds like he did the polite thing in meeting you and then moved on. Or he could be the type to expect sex with his coffee and you didn't provide it. In the case of the latter, consider yourself lucky and please play again.

Once a man has matured emotional enough to accept and recognize his love for another person he needs nothing to know that it exists. Well said, that's kind of why I put it in the context of new relationships. Distance between a new couple is really about learning in my experience. I've had girlfriends who went away and realized that I didn't really miss them and that tells me a lot.

Does distance really make your heart grow fonder? I don't know if it makes it grow fonder but it does make you more aware of the things you love about that person. All in all I think some distance is a good thing, especially in new relationships.

Is distance really an issue in todays society so much that people are willing to not even bother getting to knwo someone more then they already know them? It's really simple. Some of us have deep roots where we are. The distance isn't the important thing and no matter how much we want to be with someone, taking us from our roots is too much. I couldn't live in the city of 30,000, 20 minutes away. I could visit often but I couldn't live there. That would be like yanking a tomato plant out of the ground and dropping it in a parking lot.

Lots of people have told me I'm a nice guy but If I try hard enough I know I can overcome it. Usually it comes from a female friend but some of us have close male friendships that have lasted for decades. Granted we don't cry on each other but we do talk about stuff.

I suspect woman who wouldn't are either the ones likely to grab what they can or are women who feel insulted at the prospect of needing a legal document. Personally I would never ask for one. Marriage should be built on mutual trust (among other things) and a prenup seems like a symbol of mistrust.

I've never dated someone quite that much younger but I can tell you what I discovered. The older both of you are the better chance you will have. 2 times in my life I dated women more than 2 or 3 years younger than myself. The first time I was 26 and she was 19. It was a disaster. The second time I was 36 and she was 29 It was good but there were some serious issues we couldn't overcome. Today I really like someone about 6 years younger than me and see absolutely no age related issues. We like most of the same things and have a fair number of similar life experiences. Honestly I can't remember when I enjoyed simply talking to someone so much.

A while back I discovered that a break up in the distant past didn't have to happen. She just wanted some space but I heard only that she wanted me gone. When she finally got her head right and wanted to work things out I had cut her off and had disappeared. Kinda sucks but it's ancient history now and we're two different people who have had a decade of growth on our own and it just wouldn't be the same.

To tell you the truth. The right woman makes me completely forget all those issues that are important to me. I'm realizing that they've become so unimportant that we barely even think about them when we talk. Instead our conversations are all about other things that are more important on the interpersonal level.
