Posted: 1/14/2008 3:32:54 PM
If you have any left over chicken I have a great way to make Chicken Salad.

Left over Chicken,
Mayo or Ranch dressing
Grapes cut in half
Walnuts

This is so yummy! My kids like it on Pita with cucumber, I like it on a dark rye bread.

Do you think there should be laws against people who trick you into sexual encounters!
Posted: 1/13/2008 10:11:58 PM
WOW!

Being "tricked" into a sexual encounter seems imposable to me!

IMO ...you teach people how to treat you, and if you are making a choice to have sex with someone then that is your choice. It is hard enough to convict people of a sex crime without adding the "I've been played law"

You can make a choice to have sex before you are say married and then you have to own your choice. Now I understand the pain and hurt one can cause by blowing sunshine up the butt, but to try and make a law

You can only try and learn from past experiance and go from there.

Once you have her phone number after new years eve
Posted: 1/2/2008 3:18:05 PM
IMO ....a date does not have to cost money! I'm in Calgary and there is a ton of things you can do for free, a walk by the river...bring some hot choclate, skating outside, things like that are fun and allow you to be able to chat and get to know each other.

To me as long as a man is able to support himself I care less how much cash he has, and I feel there is nothing wrong with "going dutch" just make sure you tell her that before you go out.

Good luck!

Stalker Guy!!!!
Posted: 9/27/2007 9:28:33 PM

My best friend had a net-stalker he is male.... she was very cruel had control of his email & address book, she became dangerous!

I have to say Snuggler2 gave everyone some very good info (thanks Snuggler2!)

READ THIS ........................

Some things you need to know.
1. if you have a profile anywhere or use your ID here anywhere else it can be used to get information about you. Here's an example http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=lookingforlove6+&btnG=Google+Search&meta= and that's just the first one.
2. innocuous information can be used to find you. I'm a nice guy, but with my internet experience I can track down information about 80% of people in seconds. Less than 10% have no way of being traced because they take all the precautions. (But if you word your profile well you will reduce the likelihood of being approached by people who don't suit you, so start with that as a solution. )
3. Reverse phone number sites are common but most only work for landlines. If you want to remain reasonably anonymous use a cell phone number.... that isn't used in association with any business or other activity where you post the number on the internet. (Behind 3 levels of subdirectories is beyond 99% of what search engines will find.)
4. Most people who use pseudonyms connect their ID with regular ID at some point. It only takes seconds to track someone that has become of interest, that leaves a trail of linking information. (How do you think some criminal activities are traced by police etc.... there's a trail!)
5. Most people aren't deranged stalkers, but simply persistent in making you their interest, probably unduly persistent. (Get their phone number and suggest that they are being too persistent and if they continue you will have to report them to the phone company that services that number. Few will continue after that.)
6. Now consider that 10-15% of the population has a mental aberration at some time, or all the time, and then all the people who are short on boundary skills and self-discipline and you can see why stalkers exist. They aren't limited to men.
7. The female cop offering the solution of having a gun is way out of line. Violence only begets violence. Many easier solutions exist than risking being a murderer.

Cell Phones On a Date,Do You Really Need It?

I always bring my phone. I would only answer to my children and I almost always have my ringer off anyways. I would 100 % have it off on a date but would keep it close by just incase.

Children first.

Living In Sicmous
Posted: 5/28/2007 7:20:35 PM
I'm interested in what residents of Sicamous have to say about what it's like there. I have done some internet searches and I can only find tourist info. I'm moving from Calgary to Sicamous in early June for a job. I will be out there until the end of September or October.

Any info would be great!

TrueBlue........

I have posted this on a joke page on POF but from one redhead to another ...

Here you go, hope this makes you smile

A redhead is standing in the middle of the highway jumping back and forth across the yellow line, saying 57.....57...over and over again.

A blonde pulls up and says... That looks like fun can I try? The redhead says ok but be carefull we are in the middle of the highway after all!

The blonde gets out in the middle of the highway and begins 57...57...57 and a car come by and runs her over!

A few minutes latter the redhead goes back out to the middle of the highway 58! 58!

BTW .. This joke is much better in person with the actions but I think you get the idea!

Oh and @ all the blondes

LMAO

Is this what our society has come to?
Posted: 4/28/2007 6:24:32 PM
YES!

This IS what our society has come to..... And it makes me sick!

I remember when that little boy "Avery" was abandonded by his mother at Safeway. She left him in a shopping cart and took off. The front page story was about the dog someone found hanging from a tree in Bowness park! Sad yes but more front page worthy than the 4 year old child left in a shopping cart.... I think NOT!

It is clear to me we as a society in whole we have it backwards.... Example if you have a dog who is slowly dying and you allow this animal to suffer and don't have the animal "put down" you can be charged with cruelty to an animal. Yet if you have a family member slowly dying you MUST allow them to suffer, because a human has less rights than an animal!

Is this considered Child Abuse
Posted: 4/20/2007 5:15:29 PM
Sounds like this Mom is stressed out! Now I think verbal/emotional abuse can be the worst, I think maybe this fellow Mom needs a friend. I would speak with her maybe you can encourage her to join a parenting support group or even team up with her.

She could be dealing with to much right now and just needs a shoulder. Explain you are worried about the kids and if it does not change I would speak to her partner and inform Child Social Services, they can offer her some support.

It would be nice as mothers/parents if we could support each other in times like this. Bringing it to the fourms shows you care, imagine if you could be the helping hand she may need.

Brightest Blessings to the children.
