Thirty and not married
Posted: 12/1/2006 8:18:20 PM
If you reach the age of 35 there is either something majorly wrong with you. or you are very selfish and can't see yourself with anybody else, because they do not meet your standards. I have yet to meet a single man that is over the age of 35 who isn't either a player, career junkie that lives for his job.
Aww craaappp.... only one year left. Whatever will I do...
What a bunch of garbage... not everyone needs that level of commitment to be happy.
Some people use marriage as a crutch for thier insecurities... thats selfish. Nothing worse than a person who can't handle being on thier own. Not to mention marriage is a religious institution... and since I'm a heathen I see no need for it other than a tax break. Or if you want to have kids... another thing I have no interest in. Of course some would argue that is also selfish and there must be something wrong with me... so I guess I'm a 2 time loser.
And I happen to like career junkies... more time to myself. I am selfish after all.

Since when did Music become an inappropriate outlet for Political views?
Give me a freakin' break...
I'd rather hear them being political than singing about fk'ing, killing,
booty shankin' or absolutely nothing of substance at all what so ever.
Most of the best music ever written was political in nature.
Some of you people are down right silly...

NEW FEDERAL ID LAW
Posted: 7/22/2005 6:58:55 AM
Up until I read this...
Supporters claim it is not a national ID because it is voluntary. However, any state that opts out will automatically make non-persons out of its citizens. The citizens of that state will be unable to have any dealings with the federal government because their ID will not be accepted. They will not be able to fly or to take a train. In essence, in the eyes of the federal government they will cease to exist. It is absurd to call this voluntary."
I didn't think have a National ID was that big of a deal, nothing wrong with uniformity
of identification cards... But that there is fk'ing ridiculous. I had no idea they were up
to all this kind of BS.

There is nothing more entertaining than hearing US policy, operational systems of government, historical references and American international involvement from two Canadians.
Mirroring the current Administrations attitude towards Foreign policy right
here on POF I see. I suppose when you need something, you pretend to be a
team player too...

Canada joins Cyber-hate crackdown...
Posted: 7/8/2005 1:07:45 PM
Heck; I doubt that you would ever even come NEAR to saying anything that would raise an eyebrow you!!!
What in a real public place? You don't know me very well if thats what you are insinuating....
I get eyebrows raised at me all the time.
Now if you mean saying something that would trigger the "Hate Crime" or real physical
threat against anything... no. I don't feel the need to talk that kind of trash. But I do
have a physical dependancy on insulting Neo-Conservatives with 4 letter words...
so I'd hate for that joy to be taken away from me online. LOL!

I certainly think it should be watched for danger and terrorist activity just as any other "public place". But do I think they should be able to tell me what I can or can not say while online, and threaten to slap me jail time for voicing my opinion? Fu'k No.

I don't see a lot of Liberals being "enemy sympathizers"...
understanding the "enemy" is not siding with them. That
bullsh!t spin based on jerkoff Rove's comment about Liberals
wanting to "Give terrorists therapy" and tolorating tyrants is total garbage.
And frankly this country is not perfect in its compassion, levity, civility

Its one thing to say you don't like this, that or the other type of
person for whatever shallow, bigoted reasons you may have...
but to have a website devoted to their destruction or preaching
hatred against them... I think the Internet can do without that
sort of BS.
But then again, my website has artwork of Pin-Up Girls on it,
which radical Feminists may find offensive "to women"... would
I be forced to take it down? Where does it stop?
No, racist crap aside.... regulating one of the only true
avenues of free speech left in the world today is a bad idea.
And I certainly don't think that guy should get jail time...
if I got put in jail every time I said something nasty online...
I'd be in for life! LOL!

As much as I would love to have a Female and/or minority win the Presidency... I
highly doubt it will be her, and definately not in 2008.

but instead of trying to turn people against one another ask how you may be of help instead of hindrance.
I'm sorry, but the "Right" are equally as guilty of trying to turn people
against one another for their own benefit. I don't think its good for
either side... but what you see has being a hindrance, others see as
a way of helping. Not everyone believes that dissent and protest
are undermining qualities.

¿ AIDS check ups, condom usage ?
Posted: 6/13/2005 7:30:05 AM
herpes simplex one is oral, herpes simplex two is genital. one can infect where the other is normally found but they are definitely not the same.
Not exactly the same... but one is not more dangerous (or less dangerous)
than the other to the body... that was my point. And BOTH are contagious during
outbreaks. Anyone who says Oral Herpes isn't super contagious is full of sh!t...
Here is a website that gives comparision of the different Herpes Viruses...
http://www.herpes.com/hsv1-2.html
I asked my doctor all about it, and she told me they don't like specificing
Herpes One or Herpes Two because they don't like the fact people downplay
having Herpes One (Oral) like its no big deal and are not careful about it, and
act like Herpes Two (Genital) is akin to having AIDS and leprosy... which it
absolutetly is not...
By the way, latest news on Genital Viral Shedding is that its most prominant in the
first 1-2 years of having the virus. (I told you I've done a lot of studing on this,
my friend doesn't have internet... so I've been helping them out.) Research has shown
people "shed" something like 10-20 days a year when not having an outbreak...
and on suppressant drugs (Acyclovir, Valtrex, etc.) its cut down to like a 5% chance
of transmission... I can go look up the exact info later I can't remember off hand right now...
I used to be scared to death of the dreaded Herpes thanks to scare tactics of
High School Sex Ed and Social Stigmas... so the past couple months have been
very enlightening. Not that I'm all for running out and getting it and think its no
big deal... I just don't want false and misleading information/opinions on Herpes
to effect my friend someday having a happy life with a special person... so I do
what I can. Even if its just a little bit on a dating message board...

¿ AIDS check ups, condom usage ?
Posted: 6/7/2005 6:17:28 AM
Seriously, did you guys know that 1 out of every 5 people in America has genital herpes, and unless they happen to be having a break-out, you totally can't tell. And sometimes you can get the virus when there are no visable signs of a break-out. That is not deadly like AIDS, but there is no cure.
Yep... and a lot of people do not even know they have it. They think
its jock itch or acne.... and did you know that when you go to a clinic
to be tested for STDs they do not check for Herpes? Because if there
are no physical signs to be cultured the only way to test is by a
blood Antibody test which is very expensive. So if you went and got
tested "for everything" there is a good change Herpes wasn't included.
Ask your doctor.
One thing people like to ignore is the Genital Herpes is the same as "Cold Sores",
(inaccuratly known as the "good herpes") only in another part of the body, and
something like 80% of the people out there have some form of Herpes or another.
A good friend of mine was diagnosed with Genital Herpes recently, so I've been going
through all this with them... its been enlightening. Herpes is probably the
least dangerous one you can get. Sure its not cureable, but there are new
strains of Clamidia (sp?) and Gonorea these days that resist Antibiotics
and can kill you.... AIDS isn't the only one. Its scary out there kids!

I agree... and just on the other side of Authoritarian is Dictatorial...
and then on to Fascism. Regardless, the direction they are trying to
take us is not a good one. And it freaks me out that so many people
are convinced dissent is unpatriotic. Thats how this sh!t starts...
but I digress....
Making fun of whats been going on at Abu Grabe and Guantanamo

I'm the first to critizise this administration's handling of the war. I think the abuse is counter-productive to the mission we have in front of us and a terrible violation of our national values. Yet, to compare this administration and our military to the Nazis is insane and without any basis what-so-ever.
Yeah, you all know how much I can't stand the Bush Administration and
think this war is total BS... but I think comparing the US Military to Nazis
is way off base. Now if you want to compare what Bush & Co and
Right-Wing Republicans are trying to do to change the way our Government
functions and our Constitutional Rights to bordering on Fascism...
thats another story. LOL!

Okay, but what effect do the resolutions have. Do they in fact stop this from happening. I'm unclear and what could over-ride the Patriot Act?
Actually I'm curious about that myself... I would think a Federal Government Bill like the patriot act wouldn't be allowed to get overruled of trimmed down by individual states...
I'm going to have to see if my area/state allows this Library thing...
