Yes.
You should have gone to a retail outfit that does not use child labour, there are many to be found, all you have to do is look it up.
Child labour is NOT acceptable, no matter how much or how little you pay for your Tee shirts.
In my normal ( as not online)life. I too am known as Cat, and I do not want stroking to ease your conscience.

Its like everyday life really, right place right time.
EDIT: We hadnt crossed paths online til after the Meet.
Safe to say I couldnt recommend them enough.

Does Chris Hoy Deserve A Knighthood?..Why Not Bruce Forsyth?
Posted:

Bruce Forsyth has never made me feel as proud to be from our shores as Chris Hoy and the other Olympians did this summer, as good as an entertainer he may be.
Just cos Brucey didnt recieve one does that mean the others shouldnt either?
His time will come I'm sure.

What you are expecting in 2009?
Posted:

I just hope reality kicks in for half of the people in here, (including the 'Posh' poster who won't lower her pride for a 'McJob') as we are in a Depression (although the media won't dare say the 'D' word!).
'
I think his poster actually said she would do any ole mcjob as she isnt too posh.......
Wow Binty....... Congrats and all that.
As for me and 2009 I'd like not to lose anymore family members, 5 in a year is more than our fair share.

How much do mothers envy their daughters?
Posted:
10/25/2008 10:37:11 AM
Do I envy my Daughter?
Maybe,
but not much,
I wouldnt want to be 18 again
I want her to have the world, as I do my boys.
I do not regret one tiny moment of my life, but I dont want her to copy my mistakes or my successes, she is a person in her own right and certainly has her own mind!
The world is out there for our children, it is much much smaller then it use to be, and its all there for the taking.
I do envy her chances/choices Uni, work, etc, but not enough to covert them.
The only thing I'd really really want for myself is the knack she has of weilding the GHD's.

Ah lil,
Theres nowt wrong with a sweaty, small, bald guy, I just dont know if I would ever fancy them or not.
I know I should if I were single put that in my preferences etc but I wouldnt so NER!!! ( Cos, I, being rather nice give everyone a chance.)
But unless you tell them you DO NOT want them messaging them, how on earth are they meant to know?
Would they be physics?
Inappropriate mail is way much better than NO mail at all.

Online DIY divorce
Posted:
10/20/2008 10:40:40 PM
As so many folk now meet accross a crowded e-mail why on not divorce the same way too.
Makes sense to me.
As many has said tis cheaper to ask courts for paperwork then all you have to do is have them sworn in, a Judge will have to agree with all aspects and hey presto its done.
As for cost, I'm not sure, as I was the one being divorced ( 2 year separation) but it was definately the easiest/ cheapest option for us.

Sadly, (or it is it embaressingly?) I quite like this show...... but have no knowledge of who was voted off as I aint that much of an addict ( unlike those above me!!)
And if you have a huge TV on the wall, whats the point in turning it off? It is not a mural, do the kids mind if its large? or it it just to impress those who walk past and ogle in the window?

Separated/Divorced Dating
Posted:
10/9/2008 8:53:41 AM
Yes, We've been dating for almost 15months and I only received my Degree Absolute in the post today.... has it made a difference to us?
Nope.
We had both moved on from our last relationships even if my paperwork hadnt been sorted.
If someone was very newly (is that a word?) out of a relationship/marriage I might hesitate as I wouldnt want to be anyone's crutch/ego boost.
So I guess it is all down to circumstance and timing IMO.

Lots of women like the Blues.
Its the fountdation of nearly all the music that has followed.
I saw BB King in april 2006, one of his last UK concerts, he was celebrating (I think) his 80th birthday, it was one of the best musical evenings I have ever spent. Gary Moore supported him, another great but modern Blues guy....he does sing/play the blues for Greensy after all.

Teacher for a day?
Posted:
9/8/2008 4:54:52 AM
All those police, etc checks too.... You cant just waltz into a school and demand they put a roof over your head for the day, even if it is to help out!
Its a nice idea, many many parents do this or have done it.
Those that dont want to help will find an excuse regardless.
Also:
What about all those parents who might need extra benefits to pay for this day off work once a year? All those collegues without children having to pick up the slack in the work place etc. I can hear the cry of " its not my fault I dont have children, why cant I have a day off to go and play finger painting ".

Yes.
Having lost 3 family members this year to a reckless driver ... He was however not a drink driver, I know how devastating this can be on family/friends etc.
I would shop anyone if I knew them to be taking chances with anothers life.

Southampton picnic on the common - 1st June 08 - Pictures, Comments & VIDEO
Posted:
6/2/2008 6:49:42 AM
Fantastic afternoon.
A great turn out for the first Southampton picnic of 2008. It was lovely to see so many new faces and to catch up with our friends ( you know who you are! )
Despite the rain clouds we barely got wet, Natures canopy was better than any gazebo!
The company was fun, setting perfect and what could I possibly say about the rounders? Oh yeah I know, Us Ladies won!
And for all those wondering, no, we did not cheat, we are just better.
A Big Well Done to Ann and Paula.
looking forward to many many more lazy afternoons in the company of great folk!

I love Beryl cook too.
We have several of her prints around the house and always chuckle when I stop and have a look.
I remember reading somewhere that the Tate wouldnt give her wall space but they allowed half a dead cow or something similarly oddballish. I never could work that one out. Art is as Art does I suppose.

Is It Morally Wrong To Buy A Ferrari for £5.6 Million?

Maybe he did make a donation, unless they put a list of who has we'll never know.
As for the ferrari I can think of better things to spend my money on, but then again its not my money.
Is it our business.... yeah course it is, some of us are feeling the effects of the credit crunch and its nice to know some folks arent, it kinda gives me a warm glow knowing not all are suffering!
Of course its none of ours
Bitter/ jealous?

Laser treatment for eyes..........
Posted:
5/15/2008 10:25:27 PM
Surfer had laser treatment back in feb for his short sight and astigmatism (sp).
Only had one day of his eyes being uncomfortable then completely normal although a little blood shot. The actual procedure did hurt and there were several different options to chose from which hiked up the price to alot more than advertised.
He says its the best thing since sliced bread and wished he'd had it years ago.
Go for it Redee, the consultation will be free so its worth investigating.
It should last for life or the natural life of our eyes so he may need glasses in the future as most of us do later in life anyway, and he has no problem seeing close or near things at all.
