Don't sell yourself short on your influence my friend. As always a pleasure and an honor to be here posting in the barn.
Lost Within You
Daylight forsakes,
That, of which I dream,
Realities oblivion,
Torn seam from seam.
Whilst awake I ponder,
The sun is haunting,
So, so far away,
From my dreams, taunting.
Night eventually comes,
But too little too late,
Dreams go by so fast,
Time controls my fate.
To linger in the bosom of darkness,
Alone to my dreams squander,
To relish in the closing of distance,
To forever travel and wander.
For it is this land,
That, of which I talk,
That you also reside,
Side by side we walk.
No distance to keep us,
No miles to interfere,
Reality’s what we make,
There are no mistakes here.
From dreams never to awake,
Where time has nothing to do,
A world that of which we create,
To be totally lost within you!

You have always helped bring out my creative side there Goat. Thank you and blessings my friend!
A little anti-valentines day poem, or rather, us poor souls who don't have a valetine-lol.
All good, all good! Here we go.
Barren
Laid waste, desolate and barren,
Like a desert land,
My heart has nothing else to give,
Absolutely nothing, understand?
All its fruit has dropped to the ground,
There only to rot,
Once it was ripe for the picking,
But now it’s not.
The meaning of love for me,
Has fallen into the abyss,
Forever in darkness lost,
Of it, I can only reminisce.
The borne loneliness that resides in me,
That’s become all too familiar,
Takes me on an inner journey,
That’s fascinating, and yet peculiar.
The twisting realms and visions in my mind,
That have yet to drive me insane,
Often alone in the shadows of darkness,
I wish I had instead been slain.
Has all the love really gone from my heart?
Fate has left me many days yet to ponder,
Amongst its shadowy dark barren halls,
My soul I roam and wander.

Hi ole friend! Nice to see you're still around.
In The Darkest Times
In the darkest times, I stop and remember,
The ties that bind, and loves glowing ember.
On it’s strength I draw, and the gloom fades away,
It helps me to see, the situation a different way.
For if I have you, what else do I need,
Our love set a flame, and our souls were freed.
Distance doesn’t diminish it, we are intertwined,
My love only grows, and it only strengthens the bind.
I love you my dear, more and more everyday.
And always will, let come what may.
In the darkest times, I stop and remember,
And you should too, my loves growing ember!

Thanks Mari! Good to be back!
Taste It
Sweet is the silence of the night,
In it lie the fears of all men,
Hidden just out of sight,
Where it’s always been.
You can feel and taste it,
With a sobering chill,
Though deeply knit,
Into the air it does spill.
Go ahead and taste true fear,
From deep recesses of the mind,
From the night drawn so near,
It’s ravages you can no longer bind.
Nestle deeply if you can,
Under the covers of your bed,
A little hole only to scan,
Breathing heavy with dread.
Night sweat rains down,
Your fear tastes so sweet,
Praying for dawn since sundown,
Your fear you try to beat.
Nothing to be afraid of,
From bed you step in darkness,
Every step deliberately suave,
It’s no time to be careless.
A gust of chilled air,
It’s stench fills you with dread,
Fatal is your err,
Nope, too late, you’re dead!

Scars tell the story,
But deeper are the inner wounds,
Flesh torn only to heal,
How the mind festers.
Fighting the bitterness,
Course set askew,
All trust gone,
It's better to be alone.
Path walked somberly,
The way not known,
Daily the fight,
Direction not sought.
Pity not,
Familiar is pain,
Soul not lost,
The mind is set.
All that was,
All to be,
Come what may,
It makes you who you are.

Hi Mari-good to be back! Missed ya!
Toy Soldier
Little toy soldier, beneath my Christmas tree,
Stoutly at attention, for the entire world to see.
Rifle at shoulder arms, held firm and tight,
As if watching and guarding, our Christmas night.
But sometimes I think, the world doesn’t know,
They’re guarded every night, from domestic or foreign foe.
Service men and women, away from their families,
Here and there throughout the states, even over seas.
They serve our country, yes they serve us,
They’re there for our benefit, which is their focus.
Lives on the line, to make sure we’re always free,
Giving their all to that end, being the best they can be.
So little toy soldier, beneath my Christmas tree,
You remind me of the men and women, who keep us free.
Remember them now, thank them forever,
God bless those who serve, here or wherever!

Good to see you around Rory!
Of Nightmares
Of nightmares and twisted visions, in them I dwell,
Sordid and surreal, straight out of hell.
They haunt my mind, stripped and laid bare,
With me in the daytime, peacefulness is rare.
Tis time to lie and wait, in my bed will I receive,
More vivid visions, more than you could believe.
The dark shadows fall, my eyes will come to see,
Of nightmares and twisted visions, I'll never be free.

Thank you Longte!
Way too long, fellow dark breeder,
To be denied your rythm, ryhme and meter.
Intricate and sublime, yes watch it go,
The hot and sweet smell, the blood doth flow.
Fear envelops the mind, and the body tenses,
As one does read, the contents of your sentences.
I alone, take it in, my body all a quiver,
The words I thirst for, down my spine with a shiver.
Succulent morsels, of which I need,
From darkness spawned, now is my time to feed!
Who is next, come hastily my way,
I'm always on the prowl, looking for prey!

Back from my exile, for too long I fear,
From the abyss have risen, with blood, sweat, and tear.
Time has flown too fast, but way too slow,
A spiraling twist of fate, but onward I go.
Again to walk, amongst pixels and ink,
My labor of love, the rythms I think.
So witness and bear, for what I've so yearned,
From the abyss I have risen, Darkness has returned!

Goat, ole friend,
I'm still out of the loop, but snuck a chance at work to drop a line.
The Void
Consigned to the tormented realm of the forgotten,
No voice to speak, no words to share,
All alone to my own mind, feeling alone and rotten,
My bitter Hell, more than I can bare.
But alas, someday, may it come soon,
My voice, again it will be heard,
My malignant sanity brought in tune,
Again to see in written word.
Miss you and the rest of the Barners!!

Think about it!
War Machine
It’s the young and poor that die,
For freedom that dwindles each day,
War machine driven by cheat and lie,
While the rich in their profit play.
Economy sadly in decline,
Oil companies play the price game,
The bottom dollar their shrine,
All the while terrorism they blame.
It’s the young and poor that die,
For freedom that dwindles each day,
War machine driven by cheat and lie,
While the rich in their profit play.
With the blood of the our children,
We secure the oil interests in the Middle East,
Lost lives of the young a mere token,
The war machine enjoys the feast.
It’s the young and poor that die,
For freedom that dwindles each day,
War machine driven by cheat and lie,
While the rich in their profit play.
All in the name of democracy we pay,
An unbearable price that we can’t rescind,
For people of different god to whom they pray,
And by their beliefs it is us who had sinned.
But still it’s the young and poor that die,
For freedom that dwindles each day,
War machine driven by cheat and lie,
While the rich in their profit play.
Force not onto others our beliefs,
Let cash flow to help our young and poor,
Flowing back into the economy for relief,
Providing opportunities they can’t ignore.
For it’s the young and poor that die,
For freedom that dwindles each day,
War machine driven by cheat and lie,
Do you want your children to pay?

Thanks for posting Mari! Another great poem from you of course!
Eternal damnation
Eternal damnation is my fate,
My soul thrown before Hell’s gate.
Beyond the gates I can see,
The pits of fire that await me.
Twisted and wrenching souls burn,
In plumes of fire that twist and churn.
Screams of agony pierce my ears,
My eyes swell with regretful tears.
No choice now, for it’s much too late,
As I enter into Hell, now beyond the gate.

All we do. All that we may accomplish in life. All means nothing in the end. Because all is destined to decay, to crumble to the ground. To quickly fade with time. And saddest of all, is that except for a chosen few, their only mark in life will be their tombstone.

Tis now the very witching time of night, When churchyards yawn and hell itself breathes out Contagion to this world: now could I drink hot blood, And do such bitter business as the day Would quake to look on.

To the whole player thing-ah well, can't satisfy everyone.
Happy New Year all!
Well aside my own playing, I've made some great literary friends literally(say that fast three times-lol). I've been honored to be in the presence of such great poets. Each with thier own writing style, but all with what it takes to write great poetry--heart! Looking forward to another year ladies and gents! And many more!
Special reverance to Goatsmell, Breathing, Mari, Miz, Rory, Pickles, and Longte!
My meager offering:
Winter’s Air
The bitter cold, and crisp winter’s air,
Whipping about me, but I don’t care.
Falling into the snow, onto my knees,
Before the gravestone, upon which I seize.
My face against the cold stone, the engraved letters I touch,
Remembering the warmth of you embrace, I miss you so much.
A preponderance of things, run through my mind,
So many questions, but no answers do I find.
The memory of so much joy, then soul shattering grief,
My life has been taken from me, as if by some thief.
Darkness again descends, and through it I blunder,
Racked with so much guilt, my sanity now set asunder.
Nowhere to turn, and so alone I stand,
There in the snow, by deaths command.
I’d rather not be, than to be so alone,
To lie there next to you, beneath that cold stone.
So cold, so very cold and numb,
So very tired, to sleep I must succumb.
Dreamscapes I wander, until you take my hand,
With the embrace of your love, alone no longer I stand.
Come with me, for rules of time no longer abide,
Walk with me; talk with me, forever by my side.
The bitter cold, and crisp winter’s air,
No longer matters, for I am not there.

Merry Christmas my friends!
Tis the time of year,
To let joy be unfurled,
To those far and near,
Unto each corner of the world.
Love thy fellow man,
Forgive transgression,
And do the best you can,
To show love not aggression.
For only in love,
Will true joy be found,
And only in love,
Will peace on earth abound.
For we are all one,
Black, yellow, and white,
So love to everyone,
Merry christmas and goodnight!

Morbid, Gothic, Death's a comming Poetry

Morbid, eh?
Wrote this for Halloween on my thread
Halloween Feast
The earth shakes violently, beneath a mound,
Of freshly dug dirt, heaped upon the ground.
Branches quiver, dying leaves fall,
The earth cracks open, the sight does enthrall.
Erupting forth, with splinters of wood,
Evil has arisen, and is up to no good.
Rising up, out of its grave,
A hideous sight, that none could brave.
Eons foretold, by the stench it bares,
Dark black eyes, lifelessly it stares.
Rotting tissue, barely clinging to bone,
Writhing maggots, into the flesh are sown.
Its jaws flex, jagged fangs glisten,
Then snaps them shut, and turns its head to listen.
Off in the distance, is the sound of laughter,
It’s found what it wants, found what it’s after.
Children in costume, running door to door,
Looking for candy, and still wanting more.
The creature slowly stalks, its intended prey,
Just out of the light, waiting for a way.
A way is found, when a child does stray,
The creature reacts quickly, attacking its prey.
Muffled cries, then agonizing screams,
As flesh is torn away, and heavily blood streams.
Screams die away, as does the child,
As the feast continues, savage and wild.
Frenzied gulping, and the choking down of warm flesh,
The creature tears more off, so ripe and fresh.
Blood streams down its gullet, it hungers for so much more,
As it strips the bones bare, from the child’s body it tore.
In a pool of red it stands, when only a skeleton remains,
Cracking open the skull, it’s contents it does drain.
It wrenches its head back, a ghastly wail to the sky,
Its hunger not yet satisfied, more tonight will die.
The hunt will continue, throughout the night of Halloween,
The land to become soaked, with a bright red sheen.

Good one Mari! Needs a reply:
Soul Taker
Yes you’re soul; it is that, which I’ll take,
Rip it from your body, mercy I’ll forsake.
Beg and plea, but it will fall on deaf ears,
It is that which I feed on, that and your fears.
My sultry whispers, to you in the dead of night,
Turned dreams to nightmares, full of fright.
With death I’ll come, it’ll be on swift wings,
And take your soul, and do horrible things.
Tis only the beginning, of an eternity of torment,
From the depths of Hell, your soul will weep and lament.
There’s no escaping me, though you will try,
But I have the advantage, for everyone must die.

Hi there Goat, Mari, Breathing, Miz, rory, Pickles, and the rest of the barn dwellers. Missed you guys terribly! Well holidays are upon us, a time of family, friends , and reflection of course. Reflecting is something I do alot. The past is a guide to the future.
"Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it."
~Edmund Burke~
Anyways, I came about this poem during some reflection. Hope you enjoy.
Paths Of Destiny
Wrought in blood, sweat, and tears,
I’ve become who I am, and fought through my fears.
Looking back, on the road I took,
I learned a great deal of wisdom, and evil forsook.
I still have many regrets, but don’t let them bring me down,
I remember all the good times, and not in self-pity drown.
We all travel our own roads, our destiny we make,
And all must live with the consequences, for our own mistakes.
For we are all who we are, by our own actions we were made,
Being solely responsible, no matter how much blame to others is conveyed.
So if your life isn’t what you wanted, you can still turn it around,
Travel a different path in life, for by your choices you are bound.

Awesome writes everyone! Love "Unkown Tomb" Mari-incredible!!
My response from your inspiration Mari:
Dreams Be Real
But dreams be real,
In their nightly torrent,
A reality you feel,
Lasting and poignant.
Deep within the mind,
They rest and wait,
Til no longer they can be confined,
And rise up to decimate.
Twisted black oblivion,
Sanity cannot endure,
Therein it falls to ruin,
To a fate unknown and obscure.
Fear grips tightly,
Taking its hold on you,
Birthed in dreams nightly,
It’s reality brought forth anew.
Sleep your sleep of restlessness,
And hold tightly to your sanity,
Don’t give in to visions so monstrous,
Less they become for you a reality.

Shallow Grave
In a shallow grave, just out of sight,
Body left to rot, hidden from daylight.
Beneath soil, flesh rots away,
Nature at work, stages of decay.
Larvae feast, on their grisly meal,
Consuming their bounty, with fervent zeal.
After some time, only bones have remained,
Stripped bare of flesh, dirty and stained.
The only reminder, of a life no one could save,
Lies just beneath the soil, in a shallow grave.

Last Goodbye
I have gone, but please don't cry,
I know when I left, I didn't say goodbye.
It was my time, but not my choice you see,
All things must end, yes even me.
Onto the next realm, my journey unknown,
My only hope is, here good seed had I sown.
All but a memory, will some day I be,
Only my written word, left for those to see.
I knew of love, and how to give it,
But not as much as I should of, this I must admit.
I had short-comings, and flaws galore,
But no one loved as much, and certainly not more.
After all is said and done, life wasn't that bad,
And I am very thankful, for what time I had.
But off to the abyss, my time here is done,
Goodbye and farewell, my love to every one.

Absolutely beautiful! Great poems Mari!
A little Hallowen reading for you:
Into The Depths
It was night again, a dreaded time of your day. You've repeatedly been having the same dream, a horrific dream. And every time it ended the same. You'd wake up screaming! Then you would sit, shaking, drenched in sweat, trying to remember your nightmare's content. But it was always elusive. And now it was time to face another night of terror.
Sitting down on the sofa, you decided to watch some sitcoms. They always made you laugh and forget the inevitable, bedtime. You looked around. The old farmhouse you bought was kind of spooky itself. But if you had known the dreams you would have, you never would've bought it. But now it was yours, and you were stuck with it. After all, its qualities were the reason you bought it. It's gothic trim work, spiral staircase, and turret were, what did you call it? "Cool". It was a real "work of art".
The grandfather clock in the hallway struck midnight, sending a chill down your spine. You were so tired, eyes barely able to be kept open. But you didn't really want to go to sleep. Well, there was no fighting it. You had to get some sleep. Besides the nightmare had been cutting into what little sleep you got.
Getting up, you switched off the TV. The house was eeriely quiet, except for the tick tock of the grandfather clock. You quietly walk up the stairs, trying not to make them creak anymore than they already did. Once you got to the top of the stairs, the master bedroom was off to the right. Reaching around the corner, you flick on the light. The rooms setup was beautiful. It had a fireplace, a large walk in closet, and the turret, with its big gothic windows. That was where you put your bed, so you could have the cool air blow on you with its fresh country smell filling your room.
Once changed, you climb into bed. The air is especially cool tonight, but no matter. You just cuddle into your blanket, and stare out the window. The ancient trees sway in the wind. You can see the stars shining brightly behind them. Slowly you drift off to sleep.
The closet door creaked open. You get up, trembling, and walk over to it. Inside you see that a false wall has been slid to the side. Beyond lies blackness. Something inside you is drawn to explore its depths. Reaching up on a shelf, you grab your flashlight. It works! A big sigh of relief breaks the silence of the night. Slowly you edge to the black opening. Shining the light into the darkness, you see a set of narrow stairs plunging downward. Its sides are lined with wall studs and lap board. With plaster, once oozing through the boards, now dry. And there is no lack of cobwebs. The passage hasn't been used in years.
Hesitantly, heart racing in excitement and fear, you start down the stairs. It seems an eternity of steps and pulling cobwebs from your face, but you reach what seems to be the bottom of the stairs. The smell is a heavy musty smell. The thickness of it pulls at your stomach, making you gag. The walls are stone and mortar, and trickle with water here and there. The floor is dirt and very uneven. You're no expert but they appear to be older than the house. You shine the light down corridor, it seems never ending. You continue on.
There are no rooms that you can tell. But the stone corridor winds around like a labyrinth. And soon you're afraid you'll get lost. Or is it too late! You look around, which way did you come from? You choose a direction and trudge on. Soon you come across something white buried in the dirt. Curiosity draws you to it. Reaching down you dig it out with your hands. "No! No it can't be!" What lies before you is a human skull. But more frightening is the fact that across the right temple is what appears to be a gouge. A gouge caused by large teeth. You stand up quickly and look around. You listen like you never listened before. All you can hear is the trickling sound of the water on the walls.
Slowly, still listening, you crouch down to see if there’s more of the skeleton. Thinking maybe it’s a fluke.
You dig a little deeper and wider. To your horror, you find no skeleton, but what appears to be a pile of skulls. All with the same teeth-like gouges in them, and all buried together.
That’s it! Enough exploring! Your heart feels like it’s going to pound out of your chest. Time to get out of here. Then you hear it! A screech and growl combined that almost makes you wet yourself. Petrified, you stand there trying to discern what direction to run. Adrenaline kicks in and you break into a run. The horrific screech is getting closer. Panicked you push your body to its limit. All the sudden you come to a dead end. You claw and pound on the wall, screaming. Not knowing whether to run back the way you came. A moment of sanity hits you. Curling into a ball in the corner, you shut your light off. Holding your breath, you listen.
You hear heavy steps hit the ground, and they're coming closer. The screeching has tempered down to a growl. You can hear it breathe, labored and gurgling. Then it sounds like it’s right in front of you. A few meters away, but in front of you. Curiosity and common sense hit you at the same time. This is the nightmare after all. And you have to see what it is that’s tormenting your sleep. You turn on your flashlight. Before you, a few feet away, stands a creature that defies sense and sensibility.
Humanoid in structure, but larger. An almost reptilian-like head. Grey rotting flesh, barely clinging to its body. Producing a pungent smell that permeates the air. Your eyes water as you choke back the vomit. In its jaws lie the largest teeth you can ever remember seeing. And it stands before you, eyes black and lifeless. Wrenching its head back, it screeches. It slowly lumbers toward you, drooling and snapping its teeth. You can't help but be afraid, even though it’s a dream. Or is it! In moments time you feel your spine snap. You feel the large razor teeth dig into the side of your skull. As a large chunk of your skull is ripped away, you blackout, all the while screaming it’s a dream.
Morning arrives with the rooster crowing. Your brother pulls up into the drive. He's been worried about you because of the lack of sleep you been getting. He knocks at the door, but you don't hear or answer it. Letting himself in, he calls your name. You still don't hear or answer. After searching all of the 1st floor, your brother heads up the stairs. Turning into your bedroom, he finds you. You're curled into a ball, all covered up. Walking over he says, "hey bro, time to rise and shine!" Pulling back the covers, he stumbles back screaming. There you lie, but your head is missing. Unmistakably gnawed off!

WHY do men just disappear??

Real men don't dissappear! Real men understand that love isn't just a feeling but a committment. Real men understand responsibility to their family and source of income. It's all part of being mature. Look deeper into what you're really wanting. If you're shopping the boy toys, that's all you'll get, a toy. If you're looking for a man, look at their values and how they treat and deal with others. Good luck, it isn't an easy task.

Talk about sudden mood swings-lol
Heaven Is
Heaven is in your arms, nestled in your love,
A joyous moment and gift, like that from above.
Heaven is in your kiss, the taste of your lips,
Tenderly pressed together, my hands around your hips.
Heaven is in your eyes, where the look of love does show,
Entrancing my every thought, confirming what I already know.
That Heaven is you, and it’s where I always want to be,
Freed from the weight of the world, because you chose me.

Hi Miz, Goat, Breathing, Rory, Sam and others. good to see ya all.
Dropping off a little Halloween poem.
Hellhound
Darkest, most evil, creature does rise,
Straight from Hell, birthed from lies.
Creeping, stalking, and on the prowl,
Its black shadow cast, with a stench most foul.
Hungering, thirsting, for fresh red meat,
A taste for humans, one that can’t be beat.
Tearing, ripping, flesh from its prey,
No one is safe, Hell has risen today.
Ravaging, killing, anything it does see,
An endless hunger, without any mercy.
Savagely, wickedly, is the way it kills,
A knack for torture, just for the thrills.
Waiting, baiting, perhaps for you,
You’ll scream and die, it’s all you can do.
Scattered, tattered, your remains will be strewn,
The good parts eaten, the rest to rot and ruin.
Hunting, lurking, the creature’s still around,
Welcome to a new era, the era of the Hellhound.

Hi Mari. got a little ditty for ya.
Autumn Senses
A pale grey sky,
Leaves of color foreshadow,
Such beauty to mine eye,
A tapestry set aglow.
Squirrels scurry about,
Gathering up food stores,
For a long winter holdout,
Another of natures encores.
The cool crisp air,
With the smell of must,
More branches laid bare,
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Hi Goat, Breathing, Rory, Miz, Mari, and friends. Some great posts here as usual. Dropping one off for ya. Yup, another sappy one-lol.
Angel
Tortured is the soul, that doesn’t have love,
Like that of the angel, God sent me from above.
She freed me from the depths, where I wallowed in pain,
In the arms of the angel, from the ashes I rose again.
Never before, have I felt so free,
One kiss from the angel, my eyes opened to see.
That the angel is you, my angel of light,
My beautiful angel, for me to hold each night.
I’ll love you always; it’s as endless as the skies,
And even from beyond, for true love never dies.

For those of you interested, yes, I finally wrote a dark poem after a long hiatus. I didn't deem it appropiated to post here-to graphic. You can find it in my thread, "The Dark Side"

Wow, great writes all! Way to crank them out Mari.
Well it been requested I write a halloween poem, or dark one at least. Been kind of lacking there. But I have one now for your enjoyment or disgust, whichever you prefer.
~Kobold~
One should note that I love children, and none were hurt in the making of this poem.

Hi Goat, you're making my brain hurt with them bigs word-lol.
Tragic Revenge
I saw you fall, and my life with it,
It was more than I could bear, this I must admit.
A foe now born, my hatred did seethe,
And now I couldn’t rest, until he no longer did breathe.
Unable to take hold, for he was out of my reach,
My enemy too distant, so I loaded my breech.
Steadily I took aim, crosshairs on his head,
And with no hesitation, I fired and he was dead.
He is no more, my revenge now done,
But now I am alone, from two souls to one.
So with my butt stock in my shoe, and the barrel in my face,
I now will join you, for by your side is my place.

If you could only see…
If you could only see inside my heart,
You’d see an unquenchable fire,
That burns hotly for you when we’re apart,
With undying devotion and desire.
You’d see an unyielding flame,
That will weather any storm,
And a hunger you can only tame,
With your love gentle and warm.
My chest can barely contain,
This beating of my heart,
With love stronger than I can explain,
Only that it registers right off the chart.
Yes, if only you could see,
You’d know that it was all true,
That you are the only one for me,
And how much I really love you!

Thank you so much for that poem Miz! You are a dear friend indeed! And I do feel whole and more well rounded. And the dark is still there, my home. But at least I can turn on the lights now and again.
Thanks again,

ROFLMAO!
Ya still got it Goat! I just hope I don't get it-lol.
Thanks for the well wishes there Goat and Breathing. Doing good-loving life! But the dark ain't going anywhere either. just have to mix it up a little though now.
You
I will lie down tonight, and dream only of you,
The look in your eyes, and the little things you do.
Your sweet smiling face, and the laugh you make,
The way you hold close to me, just for its sake.
How beautiful you are, my vision in my dream,
The way you glow, how you light up and beam.
The warmth of your breath, as you snuggle to my chest,
All these little things, that just make you the best.
You are the light inside the darkness; you help me to see,
And you have made me so happy, because you chose me.
Cya later my friends,

Two poem at the extreme opposite ends of the spectrum:
Wicked Life
Oh wicked life, that bleeds me dry,
Strips me of love, and makes me cry.
Death seems so sweet, no more pain,
Just lie in your grave, never to rise again.
Blood flows forth, my life drains away,
For me there'll be no tomorrow, so no need to pray.
Love is no more, So neither will I be,
I shed this earthly coil, a sorrowful soul set free.

Declaration of Love
It’s hasn’t been that long, but can bear it no more,
A battle I fight inside, my mind and heart at war.
Sense and sensibility, they mean nothing to me right now,
My heart aching to share, and to it I must finally bow.
I wish there were eloquent words to say, about how much you mean to me,
But then they’d only get in the way, and confuse the issues that be.
I can’t say you’re the first, a sorrow I forever must bear,
But you can be the last, and most important life that I share.
I promise you that I’m not perfect, but I’ll always give you my best,
That I’ll be there when it counts, in that you can surely rest.
For my heart now is yours, do with it what you will,
My only hope is for you to be mine, and that all your dreams I’ll fulfill.
You make me complete, and so there’s only one thing I can do,
To finally give into my heart, and tell you that I do love you.
