I've thought honestly a lot about that but seriously if they are really into you don't they think about you all the time, can't but call, are desperate for you to be around.
I don't know if I've been spoiled by seeing that kind of love with my parents and now I expect too much or if its a matter of settling for less because these duds aren't what they use to be?

So his job has him away quite a bit with going as far as South America a couple of times a year for a few months , and then he s off up north for a couple of weeks whenever they tell him without notice to go . Now I could have dealt with that but its the times he's actually around but not really interested in seeing me , or texting me or even calling me that bothers me.
And as far as attention goes, I don't think wanting to see someone when they happen to be around is unfair , how do we possibly get to know someone without it ?
We don't as a society feel complete without a partner after all being unattached is why we came to this site in the first place isn't it ?
I appreciate the first response because she obviously understands exactly what it feels like to have feelings for the wrong person and that I need to move it along! thanks

I met this guy last winter off of here and at first I didn't think we'd have much in common because of the difference in our heritage and upbringing but after awhile of dating I just got swept away and just knew that there was something there..... that was a little scary
The problem is that it was so disappointing to not get calls when he said he was going to and to have no contact over the weekends when I out and out said I wanted to see him, that I just couldn't continue it knowing that I'd fall heavy for the guy but likely end up the loneliest women in the world and said " There isn't a point to this for me"
I gave up excusing men for not being attentive and decided"he's just not that into you" was how' d I'd have to start to look at things and was doing well up until this guy , who I still have contact with.
I can't be a military women so can a women accept and live with not getting the attention she needs ?

I've also been told that I'm prettier in person then in the pics , but I honestly believe it has a lot to do with presentation and confidence which is to most a very visually attractive quality.

I would date someone that has had this done . I've done a little injection here and there and feel that we've become so obsessed with appearance that we simply aren't going to change anything by refusing to move with the times.
Its only the "Shell" of who we are so what difference does it make how we wrap it up .

Why do women who show cleavage get upset when a guy stares at their breasts?
Posted:

There is balance needed , while there are women that do the "Pamela" dressing ,I think that a little bit is fine.
Side note though a lot of women lie on here about their sizes and some of us do want to make it clear that we're not one of them.

Funniest first date...

I met this guy at a bar and met him at his house to watch the "simpsons" he got stoned and decided he was suddenly feeling sexy. He got up on his coffee table and proceeded to do a strip tease for me . ( I don't particularly think a man doing this is sexy )
So visualize this , shirt off, pants down to his ankles , including underwear , hands on the ceiling , hips swaying and loses his balance. He then falls to his ass and all I could do was gasp and say 'oh god , are you alright?"
Honestly dying inside to laugh but afraid to hurt his feelings .

It does really depend on your perception of difficult, if its taking 10 to 20 mins , I'd say thats average for most but if its an hour then you may want to look into the topical creme that actually stimulates the area to quicken it up . A doctor prescribed ointment ,

When a Guy Offers To Give You Money
Posted:

The men in old days were chosen based on whether they could provide the necessities and the father would make that choice "when they came a calling" so why is this still in debate?
Your likely thinking that we as women have progressed , and we have but now we take control and demand what we want , rather than our fathers ,,,, it progressive to me LOL
No one has ever cared for me completely financially but , men expect us to keep up our appearances and look great all the time and sorry but that costs $ so because it benefits them , no differently than the lingerie we wear they should be flipping the bill for certain things.
A relationship can always be considered prostitution so what s the difference if a women in a marriage with holds sex because she's angry? There isn't .....she has to get what she wants ( whatever that may be ) in order for him to get what he wants, an exchange of needs/services and desires .
Yup she said it !

Off topic but I went through the same problem in my early 20's with the shot and decided a few years later to give it a try again because the doctor said that womens hormones are continually changing. Sure enough it worked the second time trying it , so just because it doesn't work at one point doesn't necessarily mean it won't in the future.

I said shot , thats the Depo provera shot which is much more effective than the pill and most women don't experience a period at all from it.
Its given every three months and originally was prescribed for women with endometriosis (SP ?) and they found that the women couldn't get pregnant on it. It is also given to women over the age of 30 when they smoke because of the health risk with the pill.
Wow turned out to be an ad for them lol

Does it matter honestly what tricks some loons will play , you have a responsibility to yourself to make sure your future and finances are ready for the role of the dice.
Talking to your prospective partner about sex and precautions , going to the clinic for the shot with her, wearing a condom despite the shot. I'd say the vast majority aren't willing to go to this degree to protect themselves there fore take responsibility for deciding the pleasure was worth the risk.
Guys seriously have to take more responsibility for their own future rather than passing the buck.

I went out on a date with a Doctor who spent the entire night (despite that I didn't smoke all during the date ) lecturing me on the affects of smoking . He was so drunk by the end of the night he could barely walk but I guess an addiction to Alcohol isn't quite as stinky as smoking LOL

Teenage Disrespect-what to do

The best book I've ever purchase was "parenting your out of control teen"
It covers all forms of this out of control behavior and how you 1 keep yourself in control and 2 how to keep the behavior from continuing .
Its simple and easy to apply
It is a tough time for both parent and child.

Women don't like to reject someone, so out of being polite, she may say yes to going out with you but if you give her your number it gives her the option to call. That way you know for sure that she is interested as well.
By the way , I met a man that was too shy to ask for my number . I knew he was interested because he followed me around the bar all night, so when i went to leave and he didn't ask , I said "aren't you going to ask for my number?'
Some of us won't let a good one go , lol

I just came across a few posts by someone who obviously is a well read man . His command of the English language is impeccable however the statement he made about having no tolerance or patience for stupid people was ignorant in itself.
Those that read frequently may have educated their vocabulary and may have some knowledge about a particular subject but that doesn't define intelligence.
I work with developmentally challenged adults who I would consider far more intelligent than the individual that made that statement.
Was that statement ignorant by other people standards?

I can't pass judgement on the site users but honestly if you're spending the night I'm assuming you have been intimate. The people he may or may not have met on there would be a health risk and therefore your first priority is too discuss exactly what site he's on , what he's done and what he plans on doing for no other reason than your own health.
Good luck

wow , a lot of resentment in this thread.
men have always been the hunter and the women has always been the one to care take. These are not by choice but rather an animal instinct .
Granted these roles with societal conditioning has changed somewhat, however we as women are still hunted by men essentially, that would be the reason "Sadie Hawkins" dances were a rarity .
So as women we still expect a provider to some extent some want greater providers than others LOL

You know its crazy but the I've found that the good looking ones will lie to date more women at once, the not -good looking ones lie to get your attention , the poor ones lie to make you think they can achieve better levels and the rich lie to sell themselves.
Conclusion they all lie a little , but which ones can you live with? I personally haven't found one I can live with yet lol

Great post!
Well I'm a single parent , and have been since I was 18.
I'd say that people judge you based on much more than just being a single parent. Its unfortunate but as women that choose to carry and keep the child we have to over compensate in other ways such as
Dress
Behavior
Home situation
Goals
all of these things are looked at once they ( a guy) finds out that you are a single parent.
So I over spent , out of budget on my daughters attire and my own, I tried not to get to tipsy in a bar or behave like the other girls could, I expressed my current home life and that my parents were helping me get through school, and eventually I was making enough $ that no man could put me into that stereo type.
They were all lucky to have known me LOL

Scents are personal and really describe your personality , so no one can make that choice for you here because only you know what scent describes you.
Suggestion though , best way to find a scent that distinguishes you is to go down to the European Perfume store on King across from City Hall, they carry all high end scents from Europe.

I just went out with my ex , he's involved with someone but that didn't stop him from kissing me.

My mom had a stroke
Posted:
3/5/2007 9:01:11 AM
Really appreciate all of your input.
It was the right side of the brain as it affected the left side of her body. They believe this is the second stroke as she has scar tissue in the brain on the left side which was improperly diagnosed as Epilepsy at 36 years old.
Her speech was slurred for a few weeks and seemed to worsen due to stress. She has since left and gone to my aunts to get away from any stresses and my aunts have taken over all of her affairs to reduce the anxiety.
I have taken over all Dr appointments and have a release to speak freely to all her doctors.
What I have found out was that some strokes affect a portion of the brain that controls agression.
I guess i was being a little too sensitive and felt hurt when she said things that I know now she had no control over.

You go girl live a little and don't listen to the guys attacking you about cheating, you've been decent and upfront and honest with him, cheating is something that is done with deception.
You have a lot of living to do before you need to concern yourself with a serious relationship, they aren't taking into account your age hun, so pay no mind.

No doubt he will eventually get to where I am now.
So what do I do ? He's with someone else and frankly I want to tell him how i feel so I stop regretting things but he's with someone and I don't feel i have a right to disrupt his life or hers.
How would you feel if "He" decided to contact you and tell you his regrets but you had moved on ?

Ok , then what if you're someone that really couldn't have appreciated that person at the time you were together because you were getting over someone else.
I had a fabulous guy , he'd do absolutely anything for me but honestly I was too messed up by someone else to appreciate what and who he was.
I was the one to end it but for stupid reasons , and now i think I must have been out of my mind to let him go.
