Just had to chime in here!! Maybe a little off topic but its something to think about. I'm also a member of one of those pay site's that will remain nameless. Well, when you go though trying to find a friend people have a friend section on there profile and a place for comments to be posted. I've noticed that ladies that have above average or BBW in there description usually have more friends showing on there profile. Maybe they take time to talk to more people? Maybe they accept more add a friend requests? Maybe us men do like a woman with some meat on there bones? Maybe men looking for a serious relationship aren't looking at the 2x4 types exclusively? Just a thought

I agree with BK There are some women I've known that are irresistable on personality alone. On the other hand, I know MANY "Beautiful" women who I just cant stand to be around. People should concentrate on what their attracted too instead of worrying how attractive their mate is to other people. I guess some people are only attracted to looks! Must explain the divorce rate!!!!!

Check my empty inbox and see a whole row of attractive women at least 10 years younger than me. Pull up a search and 80% of local ladies are 18-26 and most are very attractive. Seems that when I was that age finding available singles was easy. Have times changed that much for all age groups? I know the internet thing is more for the younger folks but it seems 18-26yo would have an easier time offline.

I sure wouldn't call it shallow. Maybe guarding your heart. I used to be the kind that fell head over heels and latched on quickly. Too many bad relationships have taught me otherwise. If he doesn't want the same things outta life and willing to work with you for them the relationship don't have much of a future anyway.

Ok, little late just in this but here goes. I'm 36 divorced twice, no kids. First wife got a Noraplant??? 2 weeks after we got married. 2 years later after buying a house she filed for divorce and moved her Mom in. Second wife was 12 years older than me and already had her tubes tied. After 8 years together she started showing up 3-4 hours after she got off work and draining the checking account dry. When confronted about it she was gone in 30 minutes and didn't even show up for the divorce hearing. Some of us over 30 single men with no kids are not this way by choice. But with the way things have turned out not have any was for the better.... I thought anyway. Now a man with a home, a good job and no children is considered wierd?????? Since I'm the soft hearted mushy type wanting the wife, kids and white picket fence I'm holding out till the right one comes along. Not saying that I'm looking for a woman without any children but HOPEFULLY there's still someone out there who still believes in family and forever.

Internet dating can be just as rewarding or suck as much as o/l. All it does is give you a chance at more contacts. Don't expect more people looking for serious relationships. Don't expect more people to be honest. Don't expect more people to be attracted to you because of a profile describing yourself. The internet is full of the same type of folks you meet offline. ALL TYPES. All it does is possably(did someone mention spellcheck) give you the chance to meet more of them. You still have to do your part. Make contacts and wade through the masses to find that special someone.
