And there are a lot of dishonest women out there too but you really shouldn't compare anyone to the previous experiences you've had ~ It's not fair :)

Remember that there are countless good men in our crazy world...

Myself ~ I won't settle...

I think more times than not, people sell themselves short in life, for the sake of saying they have a significant other...Its so unfortunate...

How do you feel about people describing themselves as attractive?
Posted: 4/29/2008 6:20:49 AM
I don't mind the least when people claim to be attractive in their profiles...Now don't get me wrong, there is a huge possibility I may not agree with them :) Nonetheless, confidence is quite sexy...

when your ex chooses a replica of you
Posted: 9/8/2007 2:00:02 PM
Funny this thread is posted, after I just mentioned it to a friend a couple days ago...

Years ago, one of my exes and I were together for almost 5years, when he completely blindsided me with the 'maybe we should date other people...'

Funny that he ended up dating someone who was 5'8, 130, brown hair/blond streaks, green eyes and wanted to be a Police Officer...Also - this new woman's mother's name was my mother's name, her father worked in the Policing field and her sister was a teacher - Wow - talk about striking similarties...When I approached him with these unbelievable findings, he stated 'she has way bigger boobs than you...' Classic!

2) French
3) ASL

*Although I 'speak' ASL better than French, I classify it as my 2nd language, simply because I started studying it earlier*
I go back to school in a few weeks to continue ASL ~ There are so many levels! Its such a challenge...I enjoy it immensely

When to bring flowers? Hmm...How about never? No really ~ I can do without flowers...Not a huge fan per se...
Don't get me wrong ~ I love orchids because they're different and 'Forget Me Not' flowers, simply for the name...
*Now, take me to a some sort of sporting event where we can eat a basket of chicken wings and you might have just stolen my heart! Then again, I suppose this isn't part of the thread though, huh? Lol...*

1) Read my entire response, simply because if you did read it and not assume, like you have done so ~ you would have realized my quote was in reference to the previous quote of

...And

2) You forgot to add a key phrase to your

If he had walked up to them and shot them with a handgun he'd be a murderer and get life.

The truth of the matter is, in Canada ~ it just doesn't happen...In the United States, yes - But not in Canada...Simply because the Canadian Judicial System is disgusting! Go Dalton! Pardon the sarcasm...

Fortunately, I have not been a victim of gun violence, but I am human and these stories break my heart...Especially the ones that involve the innocent, whether it'd be animals, the elderly or children...Canada shouldn't be like this...

Perhaps all of these gang bangers should meet up a field somewhere and go nuts on each other...Gee - There's a suggestion!

On the other hand ~ Unfortunately, I have seen how families have been absolutely destroyed by people that chose to drive drunk behind the wheel...

**Anyone who claims the life of a person by using a weapon should receive an automatic 10years in prison - and a vehicle mixed with alcohol is a weapon...A deadly weapon at that...Why is it so easy for me to come up with suggestions, yet Ottawa can't seem to pass any bills? ** --> There are no such things as alcohol-related accidents...

Humble Pie: I pass along my condolences to you ~ for your friends...

Big Sister in Ontario
Posted: 7/23/2007 11:52:22 PM
I'm currently a 'Big Sister' to a recently turned 15yr old, through an organization called "Girls Incorporated" - formerly called "Big Sisters..." Like the above mentioned, it truly is an amazing experience...Knowing you've made a difference for the better in the life of a young girl is truly rewarding ~ Probably more than one will ever know...

Is it hard finding girls who need a big sister?

Considering before my 'Little Sister' and I were matched, she had already been on a waiting list for over a year - Chances of you being paired is relatively quite high...I've met several 'Little Sisters' and its pretty sad that some have been on waiting lists for up to 4-5years...Unfortunately the list of 'Little Sisters' is very long compared to the volunteers...

OP ~ I tried messaging you but I'm not yet 30! If you need any information, I'll be glad to pass it along your way...

Take Care

You're exactly right - Which is why, I asked if it was a joke...It used to be Second Storey!! It has absolutely nothing to do with being scared silly ~ it solely has to do with the RimRock being, well, pretty much the trashiest bar in Ajax ~ Uh, no thanks...

What a Kiss can tell you.
Posted: 6/7/2007 3:16:46 AM
I absolutely love kissing and it seals the deal if I continue dating someone or not...

Kisses tend to say quite a bit ~ For instance;

Does he love me I wanna know...how can I tell if he loves me so?
Is it in his eyes? Oh no you'll be deceived...
Is it in his eyes? Oh no he'll make believe...
If you wanna know if he loves you so ~ It's in his kiss ~ That's where it is...

Or is it in his face? Oh no it's just his charms...
In his warm embrace? Oh no that's just his arms...
If you wanna know if he loves you so ~ It's in his kiss ~ That's where it is...
Woah ~ It's in his kiss ~ That's where it is...

Woah hug him and squeeze him tight ~ Find out what you want to know....
If it's love if it really is ~ It's there in his kiss...
How 'bout the way he acts? Oh no that's not the way...
And you're not listening to all I said...
If you wanna know if he loves you so ~ It's in his kiss ~ That's where it is...

Dedicated to those born 1930-1982!
Posted: 6/4/2007 6:34:11 AM
1979 baby here and still;

Garbage bags were classified as 'toboggan's' ~ They certainly served their purpose for my friends and I for hours! Wow, those were the good ol' days...

Gone are the days my parents would travel around Canada with my sister and I in tow...My sister slept across the back seat - I - on a wooden bench, laid across the floor - No seat belts!

When I did stay inside ~ I played videogames, on the best system out there - Coleco! One stick to manuever your man and 2 buttons - one to jump, one to shoot...It didn't matter if you were on level 1 or level 18 - it never changed...There were no graphics; yet, I was absolutely hooked on 'Asteroids,' 'Mousetrap,' (pretty much like pac-man) and 'Dig Dug...'

My best friend and I rode our banana seat bikes, with the coloured - I don't know what they're called - coloured 'diamonds' in our spokes of our tires - click click click, everytime we to the park that consisted of 3 swings, 2 slides and a few other gadgets...We had imaginations!

We'd stop off at the store with our one dollar - the greeny/grey bill - not the loonie to buy a pack of nerds, gobstoppers, lik-a-maid, rainblo bubblegum - always the white with red specs and a pack of New Kids on the Block cards...All for a buck...We're looking at .075 now for just a pack of nerds! We knew to come home - and we'd always arrive home safe when those street lights came on...

We'd play marbles and manhunt...watch Woody the Woodpecker on the arcade type movie theatre at Miracle Mart...(Not sure if any of you know what I'm talking about ~ But it existed)! We'd play double dutch, had Kool-Aid stands and book sales...We made $2.00 one summer and it was from 3 books her aunt bought!

I survived on simplicity ~ I still do...

How do you feel about Prenuptial Agreements?
Posted: 6/2/2007 10:52:03 PM

I would never sign one and would never expect my future husband to either...When I get married, I will marry my best friend and the man who I'm endlessly in love with and if things don't work out as we had hoped or planned, we will split everything down the middle...I truly believe that marriage signifies two people becoming one...

Sounds good. What if you divorced after 3 years? Would you still expect to split it down the middle? What if you owned a house and he didn't? What if he was worth millions and you made $8 an hour. Split down the middle still sound okay? What if he cheats on you. Still want to split down the middle? What if there was a divorce after 6 months. Split down the middle?

Lets try this again...

I would never sign one and would never expect my future husband to either...When I get married, I will marry my best friend and the man who I'm endlessly in love with and if things don't work out as we had hoped or planned, we will split everything down the middle...I truly believe that marriage signifies two people becoming one...

Divorce after 3 years? *Split down the middle...
Owned a house and he didn't? *Split down the middle...
Him worth millions - I make 8$ an hour? *Split down the middle...
Cheats on me? *Split down the middle...
Divorce after 6months? *Split down the middle...

Apparently all of the above mentioned, still applies to my initial response...

Posted: 5/29/2007 1:17:33 AM
Some people have a hard time of 'letting go...' Why people would never want to 'move on' from a person that has treated them poorly in the past, I have no idea...It's unfair to think this way, but like so many things in life ~ That's just the way it goes...

Some people have suffered emotional abuse from previous relationships and its hard for them to move on, thinking they will never find someone...I think there are more good people in this world, than bad ones...Society just has a tendency of focusing on the bad ones more...Sure we've all been hurt before...but for some, its just harder for them to 'move on...' It takes time...

You will find someone though ~ Perhaps its just the timing...

Can the subject be changed to "How to treat a person?"

Women shouldn't get special treatment, simply because of their gender...All of us should be treated equally...
