I think real life works way better than online... In person you can look at the other person and SEE what you are getting, sometimes with pictures it doesn't show what they truly look like and it can be very disappointing ,also it can work the other way. Some people just take horrible pictures..lol Personality can play a big part in it as well, Ever see that less attractive person that has people falling all over them ? And face it, we have to be attracted to what we see. Not that we are looking for beautiful people only, something has to draw us to them.... Hmmmmm how to get the best of both worlds ?

I've seen some beautiful older women, that show age . Remember beauty isn't about looking YOUNG... But hey do whatever makes you feel good, I'm 45 and have not colored mine yet. I have this grey patch right in the front of my hair, lol I'm going to look like a skunk. I've been told mine doesn't give me that aged look But people will tell you anything lol I also have had people ask me if I color the front of my hair to get that look and I always say yes, Just like I took a knife and carved the wrinkles in my face....

You're asking us? The world's biggest collection of people who can't find a date in real life??? Ok now that I have stopped laughing..... It can be tough out there ,I agree with so much said in this thread. Get to know yourself , understand that it is OK to be alone at this time and it's not going to be like this for life unless you choose for it to be that way. I am also a firm believer that our most horrible times in our life are usually where we grow , become stronger and learn so much about ourselves. Enjoy this time, use it to possibly do things to improve where you feel you need improvement , as you feel better and see that life is so wonderful you will attract better things/people into your life. Sometimes it's better to walk beside the horse rather than jumping back on. Good Luck to you and keep a positive attitude :-)

If you were okay with it before, and you suddenly changed your mind....did you at least TELL HIM you found it disrespectful? Telling someone they look nice is a lot different that saying they have a nice body 0r giving them the same types of gifts they give you... ( If I am understanding correctly,he changed his type of compliments?) I personaly feel it's ok to compliment another woman or man ,as long as it's done in good taste and never makes the other person feel less than. Lines can be crossed and yes I feel it's disrespectful...I wouldn't do it,nor put up with it....It has nothing to do with being insecure...It is called respect for that person you are with.

No....Don't ask him, Don't ask her I'm pretty opened minded, although my sexual partners number is pretty low,The last guy I dated slept with many many many many women in his life.Sometimes that would creep into my mind and it kinda made my opinion differnt about him...Why? That might be true deacon (and hello by the way...ltns) Some people look their age, others don't.......My point is....say the RIGHT number...and yes I guess you have a point about people lying about all kinds of things....weight ect ect....I have never felt the need to lie....In fact my pics are very recent but my wrinkles don't show....I make a point to say I have some wrinkles... It would be like me posting a pic showing I had average size boobs.....but then would state on my profile that I had REALLY REALLY LARGE ones...People have eyes....If you people at POF ever have intentions of meeting somebody you find here,you should keep it honest, it could come back to bite ya in the ass......

We are attracted to what we are attracted to.....fat, skinny,old ,young,good looking,average or plain....Do people think we aren't bright enough to look at a picture of a person who is well into their 60's and believe the untruth they state about being 45??? My point is.....If you are 99 and still look good to ME,I'll date ya....But if you are 99 and try and come across that you are 49......Not a chance in hell...If you lie about age..what else will you lie about?

When I was 18 I got involved with a man 31,,,,13 years older...I have rarely dated my age and never younger ( Now thats something I don't quite get , but hey...whatever floats a persons boat.)
