if ur child tells u that something has happened that its probably true. why not get a counsler, or child protection involved they will pretty much get whats going on . Dont u go around hittin or startin something cause if there is something going on in the household and ur not there to protect and take him they will put him somewhere else until the case is resolved.

More power to all the single parents out here!!!! Being a single mom myself I find nothing wrong with a dad being and accepting the challenge of being a full time parent....Stay strong thngs will work out for you....

some of us dont mind if a man has his child/children as a matter of fact itll probably make things a bit more simple due to the fact that the other person knows what it is to be a full time parent and try to balance theyre own personal life. Its not that easy.....good luck!!!!

my answer to them is because I like it this way. The other thing is men in my age group cannot accept the fact that I do have an 11 year old. Majority of them think Im looking for a daddy or someone to take care of my child and believe me Im not. I do a very good job on my own. There is nothing wrong with you you just havent found the one that you want to spend the rest of your life with. Enjoy your life and you keep going sista!!!!!

ok lets say the father doesnt want any part of the child. I have been mom and dad for the last 11 years and my child seems to be fine in every aspect. My child has the respect, love, caring, honest,trust that it takes to be the person she is today with the Thank Yous going to me, my mom, my sister, my niece. I play sports, talk, and enjoy the life that we have. If one day I do happen to find the one man willing to accept the fact that I do have a child at my age, willing to be a part of my life first and if he chooses to be a part of my childs life if things work out and understands that I am a 24/7 parent than its meant to be, if not than I will still be the same person I am and the best parent I can be.

Hon your not the only one, it seems that majority of the men in my age group dont want to deal with another child, or a child in general. Im not asking for anyone to take care of her, be her dad I do all of that very well on my own being a full time parent 24/7. Maybe we should all get together single moms and dads with the kids and just have a great big picnic. My mom has always said theyre is someone out there for you you just have to stop looking, and remember beauty is only skin deep but the heart will always be fonder!!!! Happy Mothers Day!!!!

there are many including me no help no see no calls but thats ok cause my child is getting older (10) and knows what the deal is and who is always there for them no matter what. yes its hard very hard but its also a reward WE NEED TO PAT OURSELVES ON THE BACK EVERY SO OFTEN!!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB OF BEING A PARENT AND THIS WILL REWARD YOU AS THEY GROW OLDER!!!!

as to date the last hearing i went to which was 4 yrs ago i was making more than my ex boyfriend so the table stood at 70% me and 30% him. but he was to contribute to health care and before and after school care for my child.....but for the last 1 1/2 years i havent seen a support payment, and when he was paying he paid for a couple of months and left his job, got another job and quit that one. ....in the last 7 years i can count on one hand how many times he has called, send a present or even came to see our child. i also went to get finacial help and was told i make to much for one thing and not enough for another im still trying to figure that one out.... please keep your head up stand proud and remember we will do the best we can and we will come out the winner with our child.....keep the faith and be proud of you and give yourself a pat on the back for being the best mom you can be....

forget about it!!!!! my child is now 10 years old and i can count on one hand how many times her "father" has seen her or even called her in the last 8 years. as for his family what "family"....she knows my family who lives 3000 miles away better than anyone in his family or him....even when she was born he had nothing to do with her because of the fact she was a she and not a he his lose big time....as for child support whats that???? enjoy your child each day, grow, learn, care, and love till no end and your child will know as they grow older who was there for them no matter what....AS I SAY IM MOM,DAD AND FRIEND SO THAT MAKES ME A MADAD AND THE BEST I CAN BE!!! so be proud of what your doing and you will be the winner which you already are.....

its not you happening to me too.....the going out thing doesnt bother me its the fact that I know pretty much the life story didnt want me to date or see anyone else and than all of a sudden the disappearing act. I cant figure it out but im not gonna put myself down cause of it. dont give up.....majority think they know what they want but when it comes down to it they really dont. they think the grass is greener on the other side and guess what its not. I feel the same way ready to give up......to most dating is a game to see who can get who tagged first.

Join the club hon I did the same thing and Im 46, theres no real way to tell anything anymore because everyone is getting really good at it. Its not what you did and its not what was said it comes down to thinking the grass is greener on the other side and when they realize its not they end up contacting you again. Sorry but its hard to know whos real or not anymore.....Itll happen just gotta be strong and keep looking....

lets see where do I start, umm ok here we go I have custodial custody of my child, z(never married her father), went to court three times cause he decided he wanted custody and was paying too much child support, he was wrong 3 times. As of this date I have not seen a support check he is almost 14 thousand in the hole and has a baby with his best friends wife.....the courts stated since I was making more money than him I was to pay 75 percent him 25 percent plus back child support. he is suppose to be helping out but isnt. Child enforcement is requesting that I find out where he is working so that they can go after him but my question is why do I have to find out this info when u have a better data base than I do thru his SS# . Oh they will suspend his license but guess what its already suspenced for a habitual traffic offender. As for moving u need to petition the courts and state your case. Its not only you or woman some men are going through the same thing. Make the best of what you have and things will get better.....

once u know u have a potential partner then tell, if conversation comes up about tats tell its ur body and i dont see anything wrong with having a tat that u are proud of and wanted. If they care about u than the tat wont make a difference. I have one on the back of my neck with my childs name on top in the middle a tri color rose and on the bottom of the rose my childs birthdate. I did it when i was 44 and am proud of it and am always being complimented on the way it was tastefully done. Have fun!!!!

Maybe Im just not getting it, but why do men and woman put looking for a long term relationship when theyre really not? I have had my share of men saying they want a long term relationship and when we do meet all they want is to have sex. Dont get me wrong I enjoy making love but I would also like to find someone who wants a relationship and enjoy each others company solely. Yes I do have a 9 year old child and maybe because i am 46 being a single mom/dad is a 24/7 job some may feel like this is something they dont want to take on. I take care of my own and not looking for a "daddy" figure Im doing a great job. Maybe being too strong willed, strong minded and telling it like it is is a problem too!!! anyone finding the same problem? Have a great day!!!!

hun its the same for many of us single moms.......ive been fighting the courts for awhile now and honestly i gave up dont want or need anything from my childs "FATHER" Im doing a great job by myself. as for finding someone who can deal with it not having much luck but as long as im happy with myself and doing what needs to be done I dont feel like i need to explain anything to anyone if they are interested they will step up I dont need a father for my child i can handle the mommy, daddy, friend part. Keep the faith and may happiness find you and if not be happy with who you are what you are doing to raise your children.......

May I make a suggestion get your son and yourself into counseling now....you need someone elses point of view that is not involved or any part of family at this time. family is there for support but counseling will help especially with you son. Mine was a different situation but counseling did wonders for my child and I. Be open and honest with him no matter how old he is and let him know that you will always be there for him no matter what. You need to take on both roles you can do it I am. It may seem like too much at first but you can and will be dad and mom and friend and he will realize this in no time. Good Luck my friend and let me know how its going.

yes it is possible, but once they know that you care for them they will show their true colors. Thinking that you will not leave them because you have become so involved and dependent on them. Honey RUN AND RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. DONT LOOK BACK... He is an angry drunk and your relationship will get worse. You dont need anyone who is going to treat you and speak to you the way he does so chuck it up to a bad experience and move on.....Please before its too late.......

i had a friend growing up in the bronx that had all the book smarts one can have, but she lacked any kind of street smats...meaning didnt know when someone was trying to con her, didnt know anything about drugs or playing a game of basketball no concept of what was going on around her. didnt understand the street language I felt sorry for her so since im not that book smart but more street smat I told her what was going on and how to handle some things. she did fine but went back to being too book smart and continued until she flipped out.....you wont gain street smarts from going out and partying u have to have the will to be alert of ur surroundings and things like that. INNOCENT has a number of meanings, u just have to think b4 u do and reconize the surroundings.....have a great day....
