i have no sympathy for the kid getting mauled or hope they threw the book at the 2 brothers. I feel the loss of life for one of god's creature innocently killed for acting on instinct, wonder where was their common sense the 3 guys

Why are so many profiles photo challanged?

I see your point( and I knew sum1 was gonna say that to me ... ). But tobe honest I am really past the superficial exteriors things, all I look for these days is substance in anyone. I guess I base this on my occupation ( I deal with ppl from all walks of life ), I have come to known some really good friends. Initially they were my clients & now i see them as a friend . Sum1 who is outside my circle of friends , i dont care if u are a guy/girl, fit/overweight, child/adult/senior, different ethnicity/ or social status, alien/etc. I have realized human interaction is based on site ( as u have mentioned ), just seeing if it is possible on here w/out no pic ( it 's worth a try without conforming to the social expectations of this website ).

I was just checking this thread out, I find it amusing. I came on POF to make friends outside my circle ( for friends I could care less what u are or what u look like ). It's sad to say, but without having a pic up I really havent had the best of luck. Does that discourage me to be on here ? NO .. Am I inclined to put up a pic ? NO ( i have no self esteem issues or anything of that nature ). Tobe frank I dont understand why anyone wants to broadcast to the entire world who they are physically & what their interests are. I personally believe social networking has alot of dangers that ppl aren't aware of. I would be bothered if I found out (a) person in the same room, knows my interests and has viewed my pics ( info I have decided to allow the public to see ) & recognizes me ( yet we dont know each other at all ). That's just me ...

I am more concerned with all the FKEN copycats wanting todo the same thing. My heart & condolences goes to the families who are suffering right now

[/3) No path to God is more direct than any other path. No religion is "the one true religion", no people are the "chosen people", and no prophet is the "greatest prophet ]
can any1 tell me how you would explain this quote to aBRAHMIN caste hindu or a JATT sikh caste individual ( especially about the chosen people < -- it is clearly evident in those 2 religons what those caste represent ).
is it me or the above quote very similar to hinduism
if i lived by this quote ( or even if society did ) is this a free ticket to go on a killing spree ? I know alot of us would like too ( and dont deny it because of ethical reasons ), deep down in our human trait we desire todo so without feeling guilty ( ie. why dont we use road rage as a stepping stone to a whole new level ) <-- WELCOME TO HELL

i feel the same way too, i dont believe in social networking ( where i am broadcasting to the whole world about me <-- feel awkward with the whole big brother watch ). I do msg ppl time 2 time, i get no responses hardly ( ppl have their guard up big time ) & i am just here to broaden my circle of friends. I will see a profile that says looking for friends ( yet they have no criteria what they are looking for in a friend, i still get looked over ). Now i just enjoy a good conversation with whoever that is on the forums ( so much better & trust me ppl are are willing to open up in whatever they believe in ). So to the OP dont sweat it , just hang in there

what is everyones opin on tattoos?
Posted:
11/28/2007 3:32:10 PM
I have been conteplating about this for along time, when I was 18 yrs old i was really into tattoos. I drew up my own tatto design ( it has a symbolic meaning tome ).The
only problem was at that time my body wasn't that appealing to ME, to show off a tattoo. After all these yrs working on my body that i am very impressed with, the thought of covering it up with a tattoo doesn't make sense to me. Seeing professinal body builders( the ones i am aware of ) they hardly have any tatoos. I like the idea of having a tattoo, realistically i would never ( that would be a big waste of time invested on my body ).

Black Magic

I will share something with you all, when I was a child. My folks decided to take a trip to the homeland "YEAH"
We did some sight seeing, I was impressed by the buildings & the history involved at these places. I was at a temple; one of the priests was asking me move to the side or something ( at the time i was not familiar with the language, so naturally I did not respond to what they were asking of me ). I guess the priest got annoyed and said something to me and physically moved to the side, at that moment I was a pissed of 12 yr. old. I happen to say someting under my breath, I said " YOU AND F*#&EN GODS " at that moment I felt something on the bottom right sole of my feet. I had a good cut and i was bleeding, what doesnt make sense is. The whole floor of the temple was made of SMOOTH pebbles (there was nothing i stepped on and it wasn't there after ). I know this priest did something to get back at me ( and no I dont have active imagination ), so yes these things do occur with 1 of my experiences.

I do apologize for not getting back on this thread, I wanted to see what kind of responses i would recieve in regards to this area. I am not too sure if the average person living in a 1st world society is familiar with this stuff, I say this because of my ancestoral roots which is in india (everyone there is aware of it ) . Black magic is a common pratice ( I am sure I am going to hear something from the skeptics<-- if that is the case. I challenge you togo to a 3rd world country in the villages & inquire about these things ), 1 thing I was exposed to for a long time was. As the 1st born I was a target to anybody who wanted to get back at my folks for whatever reasons. I was never allowed to leave any items that were associated to me personally or take any items that were given to me ( these items seemed harmless in my eyes ), this pratice is common even to this day. Only 1st borns are vulnerable as for siblings they were never in any form of threat, as u can see I am fine. But I am aware of others who were not so fortunate, in our culture we know how it was done & who did it ( the problem is there is no evidence to point the finger ). You may not believe me ( that's okay ), I ask you to phone one of them east indian psychics/mystics ( <-- u can see their ads on the multicultural channels which are aired on the weekends ), they will inform you this is common & very real. I just want to know about this pratice from others who come from different cultures ( IS THAT TOO MUCH TOO ASK ).

Rememberance Day - Do you Remember?
Posted:
11/13/2007 3:09:56 PM
I observed the day and took a moment of silence, what perplexes me is . ppl are willing to remember the war vets @ remembrance day, yet some of them are doing unjustice to the memory of them. When elections come around you wont see them actively participating ( for whatever reasons , i have have my reasons not too ). However I do particicpate in recognition of those war veterans and those who are doing the same thing now ). Personally i think it would be a slap to the face the war veterans in the past to be remembered for what they did and me not make the effort to vote ( even if i know it is all bull S$@! ) . I would feel guilty doing that to them, that's just me

sorry guys I am so accustomed to typing in all caps ( no pun intended ). I was curious as to how the goddess lakshami is connected to the whole ram & sita story ? she wasn't even mentioned in that hindu story of why diwaali came tobe ? How did the sikh guru gobind singh get affiliated with the whole diwaali conceptDid he acknowledge to his believers that diwaali also means the releasing of his imprisonment or was this a man made concept that sikhs are following < -- should they be giving any reverance to man made concept?

I am just curious as to what the author for blasphemychallenge, stand is for 2 parents who come from a hindu, sikh, islamic, jewish, etc. background. Where they want to expose & bring up their child in the same manner as they are in secular society as north america. What is the big deal if christian parents want to bring up their child in the same manner. Why do you guys care so much on how parents put their faith on their kids ? It does not concern you on how they teach or indoctrinate them as kids, i am sure when they are able to think for themselves. They will know what is best for them with outside influence. I am sure you guys wouldn't like it if someone told your kids that mommy & daddy are pathetic and their belief system ( what a great way to destroy that connection with their child ). I know those who have no " FAITH " in anything can not understand that concept ( you cant balme them , they are products of this north american concept of free thinking ). Besides that point , the authors of blasphemy challenge are clearly using christians as scrape goats tobe ridiculed. In that youtube videoclip the author has focused on christians, I dont see hindus, sikhs, islamists, jewish , etc. being riduclued for their faith being put upon their kids ( the authors cant even use that their supporters have conveyed that msg in their videoclips <-- doesnt matter what they think ). I am more concerned with the authors of this supposed atheist group. If you want to denounce GOD for what ever reasons that is fine with me, but to say u are atheist and just pick on " ONE " particular group. Makes me wonder if i am seeing a group that is promoting predjudice ( and I will go to say even a racist ) attitude towards christians. If you are going tobe a atheist, you need to denouce the spirit of GOD in all the major religions out their on that website. I am actually disgusted too know that alot of ppl online on this website think it is okay use christians as scrapegoats and not do the same to other various faith groups ( I am not promoting this idea either if you all are wondering ) .
Just a side note I too was once a atheist and I made sure I denounced all the faiths on their teachings & doctrine. I wonder if atheists these days are against all faith or just one particular < --- is that approach considered tobe a hate group ?
