Do you think the sexual revolution has left men and women with an identity crisis?
Posted:
4/11/2009 10:19:19 AM
I do believe it was the womans movement that caused this crisis most indeed....
Woman wanted more rights to make decisions and it what it did, was bring on more responsibilties to woman. When woman went to work the men didn't pick up the slack at home (they still go to work, come home put their feet up and their day is over) the only thing she did was add on more responsibilites on top of the cooking, cleaning, child bearing and rearing.
Now, woman can do everything on their own and if a man can't offer the good old fashioned value of provide and protect, than it makes it hard for a woman to be the woman.
Men hold us to that mentality, we have to not only work as hard as you and bring home the bacon, but also do the all the homemaking on top of it. Full time job on top of a full time job. Doesn't seem fair and not all woman asked for it. So tell us how to not feel entitled to wear the pants, when we're not only asked to be the woman, but also asked to be the man?
Might not make me popular, but if you can't simplify my life and help make it better, and just add on more responsibilities, than I don't need you or want you.

question about interracial dating ...
Posted:
4/11/2009 9:56:36 AM
I personally, have always been attracted to dark complections. I have dated within my own race, but they weren't good experiences however, I still leave the option open, but am very seldom attracted to men of my own race.
There's just something about their muscles and that hip action... Men of color really know how to get in there!!!
IMOO... Black men tend to be more athletic and have much more rythum...
Still just a preference... to each their own... some men perfer skinny, some perfer thick... just another preference and it's not really for me to get. If I'm not for them I just move on, no questions asked.....

What is so inherently wrong with asking for sex?
Posted:
10/10/2007 6:48:42 AM
Rare is the woman that you can directly honest with. Why can't we just ask "Do you want to have sex?" Because that would be too damn easy and normal.
I was at the casino last night and this really good looking guy came up to me and said......
"I'd really like to get to know you! I think you are beautiful and would like to see if we can get something started! He said, but here is my philosophy take it or leave it...I want to f*ck first....I don't want you as a one night stand, but I don't want to waste my time getting to know you for six weeks if you, can't f*ck a nigga* like he wants to be f*cked!"
I have to admit, even though I didn't take him up on his offer, I was quite turned on by his directness! I can appreciate where he is coming from after all, women get disappointed when we hold out for a while fantasizing how great it'll be and then he's a dead f*ck.
*Not my words, his!!! So please no hating!
OP~I think the best way to handle this is as you go in for the kill, while unbuttoning her pants or taking her shirt off...say stop me if this is making you uncomfortable...you'll look like a saint in her eyes while you put the ball in her court, w/o killing the mood!!!!!!!!

what to reply when she asks do you love me?
Posted:

It sounds like you really like her, just say...
"I love being with you!"
In the beginning that's what it really is anyway! We often mistake the euphoric feeling of being with someone we are attracted to, for love.

Have Any Of You Ever Flashed Someone Or Streaked?
Posted:

Yep! About 10 years ago my friends and I were playing strip 3 man. By the end of the night most of us were naked as jaybirds and we all went outside to get the rest of the beer out of the trunk of the car! Why it took 5 people to do this I don't know, but 3 months later I ran into one of the local police officers and he informed me that he drove by the house that night and saw "ALL" of us in the driveway lined up with the trunk light accentuating every inch of our bare bodies!

Why are still in a relationship with this woman? Either you are happy with her or not!
The grass always looks greener on the other side, the only problem is it requires the same tender love and care as your lawn. Maintenance is always the key to green grass! When you look at the other lawn you're more interested b/c it is lush and green and you haven't had to do any of the work. Once you take over that lawn you're right back at tending to the lawn! Same work different yard!

He is using you as a FRIEND W BENEFITS. All too common these days...
He is comfortable having a sexual partner without all the attachments that goes with girlfriends/wives....actually DATING you.... No expectations of any real future relationship with you. ...living just for the moment...
He is setting up HIS rules...don't settle for anything but what is best in your interest..ok?
I am confused...It's been three months, that's all!!! How do you know he just wants FWB?!! If he only shows up a 3 a.m. then he wants FWB!! He probably just wants a nice relationship w/o a lot of B.S.
OP- if he's dating you exclusively, then just relax. Enjoy your time together. Ask him one day, if he is totally against marriage or just right now! Don't ask him during an intimate moment. Try to keep the conversation light hearted! It is too soon to ask him if one day he sees you as marriage potential, so just keep it generic.

I feel like he must not be very happy if he is always flirting with me!
Just b/c he flirts with you doesn't mean he's in an unhappy relationship! You must reciprocate and this probably makes him feel like maybe he's still got it!
You know what you should do! But you know what you want to do! Depends on your own values!

OP- I would just go with the flow...if he hasn't brought it up yet then don't worry about it. When it comes time for the "talk" then you can bring up how you feel. He will then have the opportunity to decide what to do! You are in an understood, casual dating situation. Unless, you have already made some sort of commitment to him! That changes the whole story! But from what I am getting is that you guys are just hanging out and having a good time! Nothing wrong with that!

NO!!!
If he needs a break from you, that is enough information for you to move on! If later he has reconsidered your relationship and wants to work things, then it will be up to you to give it a chance! Who knows, you may be available and may not! Just don't sit around waiting for him!

Very long hair on a woman is very femine and sexy, but few women have long hair
Posted:
9/24/2007 8:48:34 AM
When big hair went out, so did my long hair! I have naturally curly hair and it is so thick that it just looks like a mop on the top of my head! I have kept my hair short for about 7 years now! I don't look like a rock star vixen any more, now just sassy and sexy! It is so much easier to take care of! Just a blow dryer and a curling brush! 10 minutes and I am done! I know men love long hair, but until I have one who wants to be my personal stylist, I am sticking to what's easy!

Cell Phones On a Date,Do You Really Need It?
Posted:
9/21/2007 6:45:53 AM
The last guy I went on a date with answered his cell phone constantly! I finally asked him to turn it off! It is frustrating trying to get to know someone, when they are always on the phone!
We dated a few times and now things have fizzled...seems text messaging is his way to woo a girl!!
Shame too, cause I really dig him! But, I prefer a man I can talk to in person!
As for me, I will only answer my phone if it appears important! It is set to vibrate and forgotten!

WHERE CAN YOU FIND PEOPLE TO DATE when you are 30!!
Posted:
9/21/2007 6:26:35 AM
I truly believe that girls can find dating partners much easier than men can. Women are trained their whole lives to be extremely selective in chosing guys to date. Hence the attitude "He absolutely has to have a body better than Brad Pitt's, an IQ of 135 or above, at least $500,000 in the bank, and worship me like Aphrodite, or he's not even worth my time."
No wonder I keep ending up with losers! I missed the training course! Where is this course and how much does it cost?

No! Never! He knew that I didn't want to be with him any more! I moved 600 miles away and haven't even seen him for 10 months.
I just don't like hurting people. I knew he still had feelings, I just didn't know they were still that deep. I guess this will be an end to this friendship. He told me that he wouldn't cal me anymore b/c he didn't want to step on any one's toes.

When We're the Heartbreaker!
Posted:
9/16/2007 10:51:27 PM
I broke up with my ex about a year ago. Our lifestyles weren't compatible, so I called it off. We've remained friends this whole time, talking to each other at least once a week. Although I hadn't dated any one, he has dated a few girls throughout the year, but because I am the one who ended things this didn't bother me. I actually, hope he finds someone, he's a good guy, just not for me. Anyway, I knew he still cared deeply for me and would probably take me back in an instant. So here's the deal...
I recently started dating again and was going to tell my ex this, the next time he called...
So Friday night when he called I had every intention of telling him, but when he called me, he asked me to marry him...after a year! I didn't see that coming. I don't have feelings for him like that anymore and I politely declined his proposal. He hung up on me! I know he had probably been working up the guts for that for a while and I shot him down...I didn't get to tell him that I started dating again. It gets even worse....
Tonight he called me to tell me he was sorry for hanging up on me and wanted to talk about our relationship! He told me he still loves me deeply and wants to be with me. I told him that I just wanted to be friends, and that I had started dating again! I could hear his voice cracking when he told me he was happy for me and glad that I had finally, decided to give some "lucky man" a chance! I started crying because I knew he was crushed.
So here's the deal...usually, when hearts get broken, it's while you are still in a relationship. Have any of you broken someone you cared about, heart after the relationship has ended and how did you deal with the hurt you felt for doing it?

What time does your kids goes to bed?
Posted:
9/14/2007 9:33:11 AM
My 2 almost 3 year old goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:30 depending on how sleepy he is.
My 7 year old goes to bed at 8:30 on school nights [no exceptions!] Friday nights he stays up as late as he wants, unless he misbehaves ,then it's to bed as soon as that happens; Saturday nights no later than 9 so he can get up for church!
My 15 almost 16 goes to bed at her own discretion. She usually is in bed by 11 on school nights, and then on weekend it depends on how tired she is from the school week! She's very level headed and I don't have to impose a time for her!

sabatoging relationships

It is funny to see this on here tonight!
I met a guy on here, who's really nice and I enjoy him, and while talking to my friend about him, this evening, I found myself making excuses not to invest any time with him! "I don't have enough time for him! My education is my priority! My kids need my time! My finances aren't where I want them to be! I just don't think that I am going to see him any more after this weekend!"
My best friend said, "Doe you're doing it again!" I asked what she meant and she flat out said..."sabotaging it!" "It's okay for you to have a good time and enjoy life. You work sooo hard at taking care of everything else, why don't you do something that is just about you!"
She was right! I always sabotage everything! I like someone so I start picking him apart. It is all trust issues. I bolt before things get out of hand, and then the poor guy is left wondering "what did I do?"
It can be as menial as not tying your shoestrings right and that is all the sign I need to move on!
I am going to try my best to just let things fall in place this time, have a good time and not bolt when I enjoy myself too much!
And if he reads this then I'm sure it won't be me bolting this time!
Hey! This might be me sabotaging it again!

I'll check it out again later to see if there are any changes. A short "About Me" section is just a turn off. What do you do to initiate converstion if there's nothing to say?

After chatting for a couple of days, last week we decided to meet at the mall. We walked around a little! Just hung around for an hour or so. He has a great smile and nice dimples. We had our 1st actual date last night. He's a perfect gentlemen. He opened the doors for me w/o me coaxing him into it!
(because I am silly like that, I will stand in front of a door until the guy opens it) didn't have to he was wayyy ahead of me!!
We have our 3rd encounter on Saturday. I am really looking forward to it, but don't tell him I said that OK?

ILL CALL YA.....WHY?????
Posted:
8/11/2007 9:23:25 AM
This is only an issue when we like the person who says they will call! If the date was awful and they say they will call, we don't pick up! This could be reversed to....
WHY DOESN'T SHE PICK UP THE PHONE WHEN I CALL HER????
It goes both ways, and if I like a man and he doesn't call, I will call him a few days later. Sometimes, I have found that having balls has actually worked in my favor. If he doesn't sound interested after I call him, then I move on and no blood was shed. I mean, do I really want to invest my time in someone who isn't interested and is just calling me to be nice? One thing I do know...I never wait for the phone to ring.

What a smart guy you are! That's why you landed your babe! Good luck to you both!
OP Have fun! Even though you're a grown up now, we girls still like to have fun! Especially, us single moms. We don't get to cut loose as much as we used to! But we do look for guys who are responsible and independent. It is a must actually!
As far as the changes you'll encounter, I've discovered that most guys don't grow up until they reach the ages of 30-33. You'll just start discovering that you are a GROWN UP and you'll start seeing things in that perspective! Good luck and best of wishes to you!

I say go for it!!!! I would have gastric bypass, a boob lift, butt implants, a lot of stuff! I am perfectly happy with myself on the inside; I just wish sometimes, that my outside matched my inside! Hell I forget that I even have extra weight until I look in the mirror.
I jus can't afford it, and no sugar daddy to pay for it!!!! *Woe is me!* *shrugs shoulders and tuck tail between legs*

@ goodquestion
Mr. Close Enough, refers to the fact that I am not delusional in thinking that there is a Mr. Perfect out there! As much, as I believe that I am worthy of the perfect guy, I know that nobody is perfect, and if he were, I am by far, not perfect enough for him!

Did your parents ever catch you having sex?

OMFG YESSS!!!!!!!!!!!! I was on top even! My mom came barging in my room, I freaked out, yelled tons of profanities and put a lock on my door the next day!! My boyfriend just laughed his azz offfff! I was with this guy throughout all of my teen years and we were constantly getting busted by someone! Farmers, relatives, friends and even the police.
To be young again!
To have a nympho for a boyfriend again!
To have sex again!!!! *sighs*

I love tatoos, just LOVE them! Not jailhouse tats, they make men look trashy! But prfessional works of art, are beautiful! Please guys & gals! Stay away from the homemade crap!
I have one and it is a butterfly on my outer calf! I have had it for 5 years and i still look at it everyday! Butterflies represent beauty and freedom to me! It really means alot!

Would You Date A Farmer? Preconceptions?

Sure I would, but I am a Kansas native, most of my family have farmed at some point or another! I hated living out in the country when I was a little girl. Now, I dream of when I can live out in the country and even raise my own livestock! Never in a million years, would I have thunk it!
Maybe, you're still attracted to city slickers! I doubt these girls would ever understand! Maybe you'll have to start looking at the cute country bumpkins, now!
Good luck!
And since your profile says you are just looking for friends, I see nothing wrong with it.
