Yep you guessed it - It's happened again.
Twice.
To a photo with A CLEAR VIEW OF MY FACE that's been there for months. Containing no hat, sunglasses or "comedy" moustache.
And yet photos of kittens, mountains, cartoons or David Beckham seem common in other profiles.
Oh dear.

what not to put in a profile

"I'm looking for a knight in shining armour" (biggest cliche of all)
"A night in with a bottle of wine and a DVD" (pointless waste of ink)
"What can I say about myself?" (nothing worthwhile)
"Looking for a soul mate" (I've even seen sole mate)
"Kareoke" (It's karAoke you moron)
"Txt spk" (last time I looked this ain't a phone )
And that's just the start.
D-
Must try harder.

The standards on the Internet are laughable, I'm afraid.
Just don't start me on Greengrocers' Apostrophes.

She *said* she would drive 115 miles to visit me.
What happened next? Was the "difficult" question I posed.
She didn't visit.

I'm afraid all geordiecolin's points are, by and large, correct.
But to answer the OP's question -
It's got to the point where I don't even mail anyone outside my county (Northants) Not to mention the time wasters nearer to home.
I got mailed by a girl from Liverpool back in June (115 miles away) -"blah blah, why don't you come up to see me?" She said.
"Sorry, you're too far away, but you can visit me anytime you want."
"OK then, I will....."
You can guess the rest.

Aha! I know this pub. Guess I'm just a "possible" at the moment though.
Are pedants invited?

I've just had a photo containing a CLEAR VIEW of my FACE "deleted automatically", or words to that effect. Followed by a mail from admin.
What gives?

Two people independantly said I looked like George Clooney a couple of years back. They were later spotted holding white sticks.
Also the actor Daniel Ryan. (easy to google if you don`t know him)
