The terrorist threat
Posted:

least they can do is invade Poland.
I assume you like unnecessary wars. Maybe they should invade you, what have the Polish done to deserve such a racist remark.
And yes we do have Terrorists in Britain, the Government pays for them to live here, educates them, stronger security checks need to be made with Immigration Laws, but then again the ones that were born here are also being taught how to be a Terrorist / Suicide bomber.
Anyone like my rucksack does it look too big.

Shopaholics - do you consider this to be a mental illness?
Posted:
7/7/2007 2:19:28 AM
Shopaholics I do NOT consider an illness, if they want to do this then they will regardless, if they get themselves in debt then tough luck. People who spend money on items they dont need are silly. They need to find a less expensive hobby. I only buy what is needed. But then I am not the sympathetic type.

People bragging about speeding and their so called capabilities are insecure and I think they need to consider other people, rather than showing off. Quit the bragging it does not make you a better person. In fact it is childish to do such high speeds, an accident can happen at any given time.

Fortunately I dont have noisy neighbours, but when we first moved to the house we are in now. There was a hell of alot of teenagers causing trouble, most of them have ASBO's now and have grown up alot. But its a nice area and hopefully it will stay nice.

Dress Sizes Changed To Inches...
Posted:

Oh no, I saw this on tv this morning and its a bunch of rubbish. I mean we are all quite happy to know that we are either size 8,10,12,14,16 or whatever. Why the heck the EU has to change everything around. Its the same with the cleaning agent it was called JIF now its called CIF, then the choccy bar Marathon now called Snickers. Plus they deleted alot of items in the UK because theyre not used in other parts of the EU.
Come on Brussel (Sprout) give us a break.

Police wont be interested in anything much now a days, but you could file for a harassment order against him, this can be done via Solicitor and police, but you need evidence such as witness's & any written document or any reports of assult etc etc. I got a harassment order against my ex last eyar, it runs out in November this year, but thank fully he left me alone when it was issued. Hopefully he will continue to leave me alone when it runs out.

Dont forget its not the scratch card of the day, all cards are done months way in advance so wont have any effect on the day youre chatting about. Its all superstition & nonsense, but if you want to do it then no one is stopping you. Albeit the government will have more of the money you paid for the card than it is actually worth, a bit like petrol prices.

Should Charity Begin At Home ?
Posted:
7/6/2007 1:57:44 AM
Charity begins at home of course it does, people go on about the 3rd world, well far as im concerned their g,ment & presidents shop in Harrods & other POSH places yet refuse to feed their ppl and sort out the debts.
Let them get on with it. What about our war heros, elderly,NHS, the people who live on the streets, due to lack of homes that are given away willy nilly to people coming over from other countries. I say send em back and look after the people who are already here.

Feeding a Teenager

I agree with xXMarkXx
An empty plate or let him cook his own meals, if he doesnt want to eat nice nutricious food that you have taken the time to prepare etc etc then stuff him. An empty plate & a pen.
If he decides to go to the Supermarket with you, whatever you do, do not fall into that emotional trap of I want I want otherwise im not eating. He may want you to buy food that is not good for him you know the regular unhealthy type. Other than that there isnt much you can do, other than threaten to take him to the docs and make out he needs to see a psychologist that may scare him into not being hard to feed.

Paypal
Posted:
7/6/2007 1:51:05 AM
Ok peeps, here is my experience, do any of you have the same problem. Here is what happened.
Purchased a computer game and the code to use the game had been used. Rendering it useless unless I had the sellers info. Contacted the seller and she said return it & she would issue me a refund. Ok returned & recorded she signed for it but no refund. She left a message on my feedback that she had refunded me. I contacted Paypal and made a complaint gave them all the evidence required, she did not once respond to the complaint. Even after so many days of waiting Paypal then decides that I wont get a refund. Now far as im concerned this can be seen as fraud. The womans feedback has gone down dismally and people are not quite happy to say the least.
I have contacted Paypal Europe and logged a complaint, mentioning everything and demanded that I get a full refund.
How would you sort this out. Obviously I have her addy but taking her to court would cost cash & trading standards are not interested as she is a private individual.

Life on Mars - Would you like to go back in time?
Posted:
7/3/2007 2:30:14 AM
I would like to go back when I was 18, met my daughters father, and what I know about his mother I would have handled differently, she was demanding she kept him under her wing, he was too molly coddled and I would have tried harder to free him from her. Now she has lost him & I have the only surviving grandchild she even cant keep in contact with the grandchild, but alas ehr problem not mine. I do miss my daughters father but he passed away about 16 years ago now & I have definately moved on.

Domestic Violence
Posted:
7/3/2007 2:28:00 AM
I have in the past reported people for domestic violence, nobody & I mean nobody has the right to touch another person or harm them, no matter what the event or occassion. Like these bombers why the heck are they doing this, just because some extremist is bored and on about religion, demands are being made to blow up innocent people, when those innocent people are not the ones who sent the soldiers over.
Violence physical & mental should be abolished. Now name calling I can handle as that belongs in the playground.

Tattoo's - having a name tattooed on your body
Posted:
7/3/2007 2:25:53 AM
I would NEVER ever put a partners name anywhere tattooed on my body. Oh thats a definate no no. And I wouldnt be impressed if they put my name on their body either.
As we know people change relationships change and when we move on what do you take with you, is that going to impress your new partner, id doubt it.
If anything I would have my kids names somewhere but they wouldnt be big & noticeable.
But then again why have your kids names on you when they know damn well you love them.

Is a relationship without any arguments healthy?
Posted:
7/3/2007 2:19:45 AM
I dont think 2 people can agree on everything all the time, think about it 2 different people different personalities, there are differences between them, If on the other hand one person is stronger in personality than the other then the weaker one would agree with the strongest one all the time, which is not healthy.
People cannot agree 100% all of the time, look at people on the forum, not all of them agree with other peoples ideals or perspectives.
I think if I had a relationship where we agreed on everything ALL the time it would do my head in, as it would be like dating myself. So yes a disagreement no matter how small is healthy in a relationship.

I dont regret having my children either, but if I didnt decide to have children when I did. I doubt id be on this forum, maybe I would have a great career rather than this lousy one I have now, but it pays.
I would have liked to have visited certain countries and then maybe just maybe settle down after having a damn good time.
No regrets at all, I wouldnt change a thing.

Am I compromising?
Posted:
6/16/2007 5:00:44 AM
Religion is another form of control, if the state cant get you, the police cant get you then they throw religion in your face. I mean look at the Koran & Talmud, ive never seen bacon in those pages. But then again the 2 so called bibles were copied from the Holy Bible. So religion is ok for one but not for the other.
I dont care, if he aint around to sort out the starving & aids people, then he aint doing a very good job is he, whats the point of sending bread & wine down parting of the waves if he cant sort out all those people that do believe in him & have faith in him.
Control everything is about CONTROL.
Waits for the barrage of nominal idiots.

Who has been Ripped off by...mechanics...car dealers...private sellers..??
Posted:
6/16/2007 4:45:12 AM
Depends what you call being ripped off. I have a few scenarios regarding car dealers, here is one. From about 9 years ago.
Purchased a car through a car dealer. I part exchanged my car for it and I was advised it had a 6 month guarantee, but no road tax which was fine as it had MOT. Drove the car all the way home and noticed the car didnt sound right, thought nowt of it, got home and found that the exhaust needed a bandage, so I called up the garage & told them they said get a repair kit and we will sort out the exhaust for you. So off I plodded got the exhaust bandage & repaired it, not only to find whilst the bandage was going on the rest of the exhaust was falling off. So we got more kits kept reciepts etc etc. Anyhow week went by had been poring with rain, went to get my son's buggy out of the boot and low and behold we had a swimming pool, not too impressed with indoor pools, I complained to the garage and said you have sold me a naff car, I want to exchange it for something else and I want my money back for the exhaust bandage & a new buggy to which was all mouldy, they said no problem so off I drove all the way to sort out a replacement car, plodding around and saw a nice one which was a little more than I had paid for but I thought so what they owe me for the work ive had to do. Salesman comes over I said Id like to exchange my car for this, no extras. He asked my name and his chin hit the floor. Ah I have to get my manager, he recognised my surname so obviously I had become well known via telephone
. Anyhow manager came along and said I couldnt have the car id chosen but they had put a car aside for me. Off we went he showewd me the car & I laughed my head off, he walked away, the car had done well over the mileage for what it is, the interior was all fag burnt & smelt, The car had been used as a taxi or some other trade. I told him im refusing the car, and if he couldnt come up with anything better than that id see them in court. So off I went home, few days later I got a call, We have a car for you its a nice one. So off I trundled to go view the car, they showed me it and I fell about laughing the car had been cut apart and resoldered, now anyone can see that it wasnt even a professional job or one where the car jackers do it so the new owner wouldnt know. I told them there & then raised my voice so other buyers could ehar me, If you dont sort me out a decent car I will see you in court. By this time the car id got from them was no longer roadworthy. I was sitting on the front lawn at home and id purchased another car, but gave the garage the option of giving me another car. So off I went to the Court and filed the paperwork, The car dealers wanted the case heard down their end, I said to the court the case should be heard where I live as Im not the one who has refused to sort this out, So the dealer had to drive all ove 50 miles to the court case. We are sitting in the waiting room, and a guy approaches me, he says. Are you Miss .... I replied yes, he said Ive just taken over the car dealers you are taking to court, and I dont see how this can be my problem.. I replied It is your problem whether you were there at the time or not, you own the company so you have to take the baggage. He then wanted to make a deal, I said Im listening, He offered me £1,500 I laughed and said you have to be joking I paid £2,000 for the car plus theres the additional £750. part exchange for my car and theres the work Ive had to do on the one I got from you lot. Into court we go, The dealer told the court that I knew the car was a TRADERS car, to which I smiled and pulled out the original car advert where the car was in the domestic part and not traders, so judge smiled at me. The guy then tried to make up all these lies and try to worm himself out of the case. The judge asked me Had the garage made me any offers of a replacement car, I replied Oh yes they offered me rust buckets that had over done their mileage ripped & ruined inside and not worth the £3,400 Id originally paid, I explained to the judge that even though I had replaced the car concerned I still gave the garage a chance to replace me with a car, The judge ordered the Garage to Pay me every single penny I had given them, even the £750 for the exchange of my original car. And the petrol useage for going to visit the car dealers and time wasted, included in my little package was the cash id paid in repairing the exhaust and money for a new buggy. The judge also ordered the garage to refund me my tax disc money as the car was vertually off the road within 4 weeks of getting it.
Best thing to do NEVER buy from someone in the paper, only ever buy from a car dealer. Buy off someone privately and in the UK, the court wont help you. But garages have to make the car roadworthy or state any problems at the time of sale.
Car dealers ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!

whats with the cross necklaces ?
Posted:
6/14/2007 1:47:02 PM
Well over here in the UK, people are banned from wearing cross's in school. But seem's that Christianity isnt a religion that allows the believer to wear the cross 24/7. Yet the Muslims etc are allowed to wear their religious necklaces & parafinalia in school. Now is that racist against Christianity or is it just one religion and condone the rest.
Im sick of all this PC crap, its gone way too far, and totally against anyone who is white. Especially in the UK, not sure what its like in other countries.

Carrying Concealed Weapons (CCW)

LOL this is a good one, ok UK law can claim that hairspray is a concealed weapon. The comb with the wire handle is considered a dangerous weapon. Even a key or something. Yes a key can break the skin if used correctly, poke it in the eye and they could end up blind.
Over here in the UK oh a good 5 years ago. Theres an old man who runs a farm, he owns a shotgun and has a licence. He was being burgled by some guy he chased the guy and the guy started to run off, in order to protect himself & property the farmer took a shot at the burglar, Police came out and the farmer was arrested, regardless of the other guy trying to burgle him. The old man got sent to prison, so did the burglar, but whilst in prison the law changed and allowed the injured party whether good or bad to charge the person who harmed them. Now the burglar won and the old farmer is now in prison for life. Yet the burglar will be out by now.
How fair is that.
