My boyfriend is still married

Do you think he wants to give up 1/2 of what he owns in a divorce settlement? Probably not. He will keep stringing you along as long as you allow it. There's a reason why it's better to date people who are single.

Women and Sex
Posted: 7/15/2012 3:07:36 PM
First and foremost, I feel that it is better to have meaningful sex with someone in a relationship. I would recommend that route, but to each their own. That said, I would guess that almost half the women on here are looking for sex with the best looking guy they can find on here, but they will never admit it. So, they will put "seeking long term" and put that they are looking for "a nice guy" because that is more socially acceptable than putting "I am looking for the best looking guy I can find for sex".

They will seek out the best looking guy and then after the sex...convince themselves that they were somehow a victim of their own desire/decision. Then, they will put things on their profile like: "are there any decent men left out there?" and "why is it that all men just want sex?", but yet they were the ones who were looking for a guy that is out for sex, too. If a woman wants a nice guy, there are plenty of them around. I think you are being honest , so I applaud you for that. As long as you are being honest with yourself and honest with your partner, then that is what matters.

Statements in profiles that make you say NEXT!
Posted: 3/10/2012 10:22:16 PM
Rants on profiles make me say "next", like the following that I've seen a few times:

"I'M GOING TO LEAVE THIS WEBSITE IN 1 HOUR AND DELETE MY PROFILE !!!"

Do those people expect everyone to start messaging them... "Please don't go away...we will miss you if you delete your account. Just give us all one more chance!"

Am I dreaming? The Pittsburgh Pirates are playing great.
Posted: 8/8/2011 11:43:57 PM
Baseball needs better revenue sharing like the NFL. It needs a stronger commissioner (Selig has been a disaster) and the owners should realize it would be better for baseball if smaller market teams could compete. It would be nice to see the Pirates and Royals actually be competitive more often, even though I'm not a fan of those teams. Selig has managed to let someone turn the Dodgers into a small market run team.

So I went on a date.....
Posted: 8/8/2011 11:11:31 PM
When it comes to the first date of meeting someone from the net I meet for coffee, not restaurants or anything that could take more than 30 minutes. It allows you or the other person a quicker exit...no waiting for the bill (especially if you get a slow server)... if the connection isn't there. Most of the time people know if there is at least some kind of a connection (friendship or something worth pursuing) within the first 10 minutes.

Did you know in advance she was going to bring a friend or was that a surprise? If she didn't tell you in advance and the friend showed up, then you should've left. I wouldn't have asked the friend out in that case regardless. It's better to just leave that situation pronto.

How do you answer this??????
Posted: 4/7/2008 9:43:52 PM
She said "let me know whether or not you are interested". So, she has opened up the possibility that she might get rejected. You don't have to tell her that you don't find her attractive. Just tell her that you don't feel that she is your type and wish her good luck. Everyone gets rejected at one time or another. You can't feel guilty if she has rejection issues.

Stamkos for Luongo?
Posted: 4/7/2008 6:35:12 PM
As a Kings' fan, I think the Kings also have a problem with their defensemen...way too many defense breakdowns all year. It's not all on their goaltenders (although I won't deny they have been below average in the goaltending department). I think they should give Ersberg a shot to win the job. The Kings should not pass up another scorer. They could use another scorer and another physical defenseman. I like the fact they are going with a youth movement. I'm not sold on Crawford as a coach though. He won in Colorado, but anyone could have won in Colorado with the talent they had years ago.

pof can you help me
Posted: 3/19/2008 3:40:29 PM
Most of the time people's instincts are right. If it seems fishy to you, then trust your instincts. Some people make excuses because they hate confrontation and they hope the other person will just go away on his/her own without having to deal with the truth. If she's interested in you, then she will contact you and not give you many "red flags" to worry about in the future. If a person doesn't know how to communicate very well, then you are better off knowing that early on instead of getting involved with her for a couple of years.

Nfl Draft what are your favorite teams needs /who will they draft
Posted: 3/17/2008 6:52:04 PM
Eagles:

The Eagles aging at offensive tackle. Runyan and Thomas are both in their mid 30s. I think they will go OT, DT, DE, S and a CB (if they trade Lito Sheppard). They could use a playmaking WR, but I don't like the WRs in this draft and it doesn't appear that the market is there for a trade.

Musicians and non musicians\couples
Posted: 3/17/2008 6:47:37 PM
In my opinion, it is always better to be in a relationship with someone who has a hobby that can keep them busy so the musician can continue to work on his/her music. I knew one guy who became involved with a woman who had no hobbies. The next thing you know he stopped doing his music because she couldn't understand why he wanted to devote time to it (yet it was one of the things that supposedly attracted her to him). He married her. He is pretty miserable in the relationship, which is partly his fault.

My better relationships were with women who had a hobby of their own (reading, painting, etc.). I've never been involved with a woman who was a musician, although I have dated women who liked to sing (but not professionally).

I songwrite for my own enjoyment. I really enjoy the composing part more than the lyric writing part. But, I do both. I have to really be in the mood to write lyrics, otherwise the results aren't close to what I want.

Who is the most overrated quarterback of all time?
Posted: 3/11/2008 9:30:35 PM
Favre is one of the best ever, but he is overrated by those who put him in the top 5-10 of all-time. He does have a Super Bowl win to his credit. But, he has also come up very small in many playoff games...making terrible desperation throws downfield that most disciplined, great QBs would never make. I admire that he played aggressively, but he often crossed the line of being careless.

Is it too late to learn to play an instrument?
Posted: 3/11/2008 9:01:33 PM
It's never too late to learn an instrument. If you have the patience to learn and if you are really into music, then why not try it? Some people are naturally gifted towards music and can become really proficient at an instrument quicker than others who struggle with it for years. Music isn't only about learning theory or scales, it's also about putting your own feelings and emotion into whatever you are playing.

Is being creative really a good thing ?!
Posted: 3/10/2008 8:41:01 PM
Being creative is a good thing unless: it causes you to be too much of a perfectionist and it it keeps you from seeing other people because you are working on projects 24/7. I like to songwrite for fun, but I would like for the woman I date to have her own interest/hobby, too. In a best case scenario, we might be able to create together and pull each other into each other's hobby a little bit.

In dating, if you are going to be creative in regards to setting up dates, then you have to know a little about the person you are dating. If she doesn't like kite-flying and if you insist on it, then she isn't going to feel that you heard her or respected her feelings. That's why I like to keep it very simple on a first date...coffee. From there (either the next date or the date after), I can try to gauge her interests and then plan a date that is creative based on an interest that we both share. Even then, I try to run the idea past her beforehand because I don't want to take her on a date that would make her wish she was getting a root canal from a dentist without a license to practice dentistry. If after that she doesn't appreciate my creative effort to set up a date, then we probably aren't compatible.

why do some men have a problem with women who love sports?
Posted: 10/6/2007 12:58:57 PM

Ok, these last two posts are actually kinda insulting to us gals who do love sports. I do not watch sports 'to fit in with the guys'. If that was my reason, I would be sitting in a sports bar during the games and not in front of my TV. Nor do I watch because I think some player is hot!!

Granted, I'm sure there are those women out there, but there are also many of us who like watching the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat as much as guys do!!!

I don't see why you find my post insulting when you basically are saying the same thing I said when you say "Granted...I'm sure there are those women out there". I never accused you or any of the other of the women on this thread of trying to fit in with guys. Please don't take things out of context.

I have no problem with women who like sports. I think it's cool. There are definitely some women who really know sports. However, there are also some women who pretend to like sports in order to try to try to fit in with guys. I think it's easy to tell the difference.

My eye color is hot chocolate brown with little white flecks like marshmellows or maybe the color is like coffee with a touch of Creammate. It's too close to call. If my allergies are bothering me and they get bloodshot, then it's like a touch of tabasco sauce thrown into the mix.

gold diggers in orange county/south california!! any good ones left??
Posted: 4/23/2007 10:54:29 PM
Southern California is very materialistic. I think it applies to both women and men. Some men want the trophy girlfriends and some women want the good looking guys who are financially loaded. I feel the materialism really stems from insecurity when you get to the root of it. Guys want the trophy girlfriend so other people will look at him and say "wow, he must be quite the catch to land a woman like her". Women want the financially loaded guy so others will say "look at her she really did well for herself by landing a rich guy like him". The plastic surgeons out here make a killing because some people are never satisfied with their appearances. Some people come out here to try to seek fame and a Hollywood lifestyle because they want others to love them because they aren't sure they love themselves. Some people buy the fancy things because they want instant gratification and to brag about how they can afford it. It all is insecurity...plain and simple.

However, we have to be careful not to overgeneralize at the same time because Southern California is heavily populated, meaning we are going to come into more contact with all kinds of different people. Therefore, we are going to come into contact with more materialistic people than we would if we were living in some small town in another state. I think there are people who are less influenced by material things in Southern Cali, but it can be frustrating trying to find them. Bars aren't probably the best place to look...that's for sure.

NFL Draft Time
Posted: 4/18/2007 6:21:02 PM
Eagles fan here. The Eagles run defense was pretty bad last year, so I think they will look to add some defensive line and strong safety help. I think they want to trade up to get a defensive end like Carriker, but they don't have a 4th round pick and extra picks to move up in the draft. So, I doubt they get him. They will probably also look to add a cornerback, linebacker and 3rd string running back.

Do you know what you want?
Posted: 4/18/2007 6:12:58 PM
I think it is easier to approach it by knowing what I don't want. I don't create any lists. I already know things that turn me off about people, so there really isn't a need for me to write that down. I feel that if I approach it from the "what I want perspective", then I would be too picky. It would be like trying to order the perfect cheeseburger, instead of finding the woman who is meant for me.

Buy one of those novelty big lips...wear it to the date... and then take it off and then your lips won't look as bad compared to the novelty lips. I'm kidding, but I would probably make a joke about the chapped lips and say that they hardly ever get chapped. If she is that shallow to not like you because of chapped lips, then you are better off knowing that from the beginning.

Why do guys go for the bad girl?
Posted: 4/14/2007 10:22:38 PM
I haven't been writing to women prison inmates, so I don't think I want a really bad girl. Some women like the bad boys who like the really bad girls and then get upset at those bad boys because those guys are always going to keep looking for more bad girls (more vamp sex pot action) and then those women generalize that all guys like bad girls when not all guys like bad girls. I think I just confused myself.

2007 NFL draft-Who's the 1st pick?
Posted: 4/13/2007 10:43:07 PM
I don't think the Raiders will take Russell. They will take Calvin Johnson or trade out of that spot. Al Davis historically prefers signing journeymen QBs like Plunkett and Gannon, instead of rookie QBs. The one time they drafted a rookie QB high in the draft resulted in Marinovich who flopped. They will find a vet somewhere else to come in and draft Johnson at wide receiver or trade down.
