are you living your life
Posted: 1/19/2009 7:38:09 AM
Am I living my life?

Well when I look in the mirror it sure looks like me. If someone else is living my life, that's grounds for legal action.

I think your question should have been more along the lines of:
Are you living to your potentional?

And that is the key to this thread...

they want to change thier way of life

It will not happen just because you Want them to change. But following your other thoughts suggest that we must all remember the old saying...

It takes two.

You have to both want to become The Couple Person.

Man dies as result of Medical Marijuana Use
Posted: 5/6/2008 8:44:45 AM
please explain how Marijuana would effect timber and petroleum industries - - - -

Hemp is better for Paper then tress, grows faster and needs less processing.
Alcohol was used as fuel long before we got petroleum to do the job. Alcohol is made from Bio-mass. As Hemp is the Fastest growing plant on the planet, it could be a major competion for your fuel dollars.

And today with everyone looking for a better way to fuel their engines and our ever informed media suggesting that rising food cost are due to the increased demand for Alcohol, we really need to take a fresh look at this issue.

I am amazed at all the misconceptions and misinformation shown in this thread.
Gee people do a little reseach.

Why Has the Price of Food Shot Up and What Does It Portend?
Posted: 4/23/2008 12:00:18 PM
Outdoor2, I liked your link to the NSSM 200 report. I am surprised no else has commented. Seems there is a lot more going on then most of us realize. A lot of cash and thought are being spent on redesigning the world's population.

When ever I hear someone suggest the population is getting too large, I know they just mean too large to control.

Funny how food prices go up while Farmers go broke. Someone in the chain is taking more then their worth.

Ah but anti-idiotarian, if the top 10% own most of the sh!t then they should be paying for it.

And Health Care is NOT rationed in Canada, another of those anti socalist myths.

It is the Money Speculators that are the problem. They add to the cost with out adding any value to the product. What do we need them for any way?

Edit for Hardball(below).. and we have Mericans coming up here in droves for medical services because they can't afford the cost in the States. Maybe that is way your friend had to wait???

So which system is worst? The one where you may have to wait for FREE elective services, or the one you can't afford?

I would look at the World Bank and Monsanto....

Check out how they have "Helped" in India:

India used to be a major Exporter of Food. Thanks to the World Bank, they are now a Major Importer of Food.

More Profit for the Big Boys... That is all they care about. Then try to belame you and I for it....

Then how about if we give then Role Models instead of slums and no chances to get out.

As TimeEnough said...
"It has nothing to do with racism. "
But didn't add....
And every thing to do with a lack of opportunities.

As to the prison system, well they still got room for another 3 million or so. And there is no profit if they sit empty. So I guess another 3 million are soon going to find out how it works on the other side.

Time to Re-visit the Nuclear Power Option
Posted: 11/16/2007 7:10:45 AM
Yes lets re-visit this issue.

New health study of the Port Hope population shows 50% of the subjects have Radio Active particles in their system.

Port Hope, for those who do not know, is the oldist nuclear processing site on the planet. Starting in 1933 as part of the Manhatten Project and was used to process the uranium used in Fat Man and Little Boy atomic bombs dropped on Japan. And currently supplies fuel for all of Canada's reactors and six in the US.

(The tests) confirm the presence of long term contamination in Port Hope by industrial and military uranium. Study participants were found to be internally contaminated with radioactive substances that all authorities – the Low Level Radioactive Waste Management Office (Natural Resources Canada), Cameco, Zircatec and the CNSC – have never admitted even exist in Port Hope....

....Port Hope is the site of the largest clean-up of radioactive soil in Canadian history. More than 3.5 million cubic metres of contamination is buried throughout the town, under homes, public buildings and schools. The federal government has pledged $260 million to clean it up, but the project is years behind schedule and over budget (according to a recent audit by Natural Resources Canada).

http://www.waterkeeper.ca/content/drink/media_conference_nuclear_conta.php

Do you really trust these people, they have been lying to us for decades about the issue so that a few fat cats can get fatter. There is too much money at stake for the greedy rich to ignore or be concerned about the consequences.

I bet the owners don't live there.

I am voting NO, NO, NO, Please NO.

Why? Because there are too many holes in the scheme. No set way for the extra seats to be asigned. Just promises that they will be transparent. They need to go back to the drawing board.

Oct 10 MMP vote in Ontario
Posted: 10/5/2007 12:23:06 PM
Thanks guys.
First I posted here as it is a current event here (Ontario). And it bothers me that no one (Media) is talking about it. While I heard one Politian say they are not allowed to talk about it....Huh?
Yet as I said earlier, no one I talk to knows any thing about it.
Yea Mushroom management alright.

And although all the major parties have made statments about how "Transparent" the "Appointments" will be. There is no real proceedure layed out for it, only Promises. And we all know what their promises mean. I fear they are just moving their lips.

Posted: 10/4/2007 11:37:25 AM
Wondering how many people actually know what MMP is about. We have to vote on it next week, yet everyone I talk to have no idea how it will work.

The Pro-sites (voteformmp.com) make it sound nice, but don't really explain how the 39 proportional or list MPPs will be choosen.

While the Anti-sites (nommp.ca) make it sound like all hell will break loose.

So does anyone here know what it is and how it will work? Like who gets the proportional seats?

if the half-life was one day, it would become “near non-radioactive” within a few days

And once more you make it sound so quaint. The problem is, whether weapons grade or not, we are talking a half life on the order of HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS. Ah, about 12,500 generations till the stuff is safe enough to stand next to.

How can you or anyone else think that is a good idea?

RE:Boss-600

Although I have not used one, looking at the specs the outputs options are only line level, so you would need a CD burner that does real time audio such as a Nexxtech N2000 (disks cost more).
Or you could use the USB interface to transfer the files to a computer and then create your CD there.

Creation vs Evolution
Posted: 9/26/2007 11:11:21 AM

There are plenty of contradictions to your theory out there. And when correlated, there are more things pointing to creation than to evolution.

The first point is not relavent to the Question.

As to the second, Please,Please do tell.

The point of the OP is to find out what it is that Creationist want to teach. So if you have points that point to creation, Please present them. It would be most refreshing as we have not seen any yet.

I watched the Israeli / US Media video
Posted: 9/21/2007 8:56:58 AM
And just in the last week Israel and the US managed to block an Egyptian backed resolution to make the Middle East a Nuclear Free Zone.

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/afp/070920/world/iran_nuclear_politics_iaea_mideast&printer=1

The UN watchdog International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) adopted an Egyptian-sponsored resolution on a nuclear weapons-free-zone in the Middle East with Israel and the US voting against and EU states except Ireland abstaining.

The lack of consensus weakened the impact of the measure, at a general conference of the 144-nation IAEA.

The resolution was backed by 53 votes, with two against and 47 abstentions.

What's with that?
Something is going on over there that the Big Boys do not want us to know about. At least not just yet.

Wondering if someone my be able to offer some input on a couple of amp choices?
I am looking at some used ones about the same price and specs, and was hoping some one might have an opinion as too which is the better? Or maybe just forget both and keep looking?

Crest 3501s and/or Crown 602a????

GuelphDude.... although I haven't tried it, seems like one way to go. I too have thought about it. I have seen some DIs that claim to simulate various amps/cabs as well.

And an added note: The Mackie 1604 I got a while back is doing well. I like the 4 Aux..

Time to Re-visit the Nuclear Power Option
Posted: 9/6/2007 9:35:56 AM
Yes all methods have their flaws and no ONE method will be right for all needs. Thus we need to explore combinations of each to find a solution for each individual needs.

Solar collection when the sun is out, Wind collection when it is blowing, coupled with an Alcohol powered Generator when both die down. Run your car on cooking oil or make Alcohol from your kitchen and yard waste.
No need for new technology, no pollution and very little operating cost. What is wrong with that?
...Oh yea the big boys don't get their monthly cut!

Putting all our eggs in one basket will not work. And given the potential damage of nuclear (which is so great I don't see how you can compare it to the others), I think we are wasting too much time and money on it that should be focused else where.

Posted: 9/5/2007 7:39:27 AM
Well said..? Nah,
You make it sound like we only have two options.
Oil or Nuclear. But that is not the case there are many, many other choices, which I assume I don't need to go into here and pull the thread off topic. Or maybe I do, as the only real pro arugment seems to be, "What choice do we have?"

It has been shown that nuclear is not as cheap as advertised.
It is not as safe as they want us to believe.
And Clean! How can you say it's clean, when we have a waste product that could destory a patch of land for thousands of years and cause untold stress to untold generations.
Clean! this is the new Double Speak version of the word then.

Well we have a ton of choices that if we put half the money and effort into them that we do nuclear, I am sure we could not only meet our energy needs (although some of those needs need to be cut back), but also cut out the Oil use as well.

Sorry but being against one does not mean you support the other. All our energy methods have their flaws. The issue is whether the risks are within aceptable ranges. Myself and others do not believe they are.
Cheap energy = X thousands dead, X acres of land wasted, X future generations????
It does not balance out.

Lets see if I understand this...

...the gays have no business telling the rest of the people what and how to behave...bad examples....They should never be allowed in congress...just wrong......1 in 10 is the stat for the number of gay folks in the population..

So you would deny 10% of the population their right to fair representation.

Because they don't follow your moral code, they have no right passing laws involving moral behavior.

But, if we buy into that then No One has the right to dictate moral behavior to any one else as we each have our own moral code.So then No One has the right to pass laws dictating moral behavior.
OK, so no more laws that dictate moral behavior. The Gov't then has no business sticking their nose into issues like abortion, marriage, prostitution, etc,. Because their moral code won't match your moral code.

Fine by me, let Gov't keep to what it is supposed to do in the first place, Service The People, Not dictate behavior to us.

I always wonder why people are so concerned about every one else's sex lives.

this story was all anyone was talking about on the American news cycle last night

With all the problems in our societies and all the corruption and greed in our Gov't, why is it always the Sex Stories that intrigue us so much?
I still hear more about Clinton's zipper then about the contractual misconduct and waste the Gov't dives deeper and deeper into with each election.

Personally I don't care who you sleep with. Whether you like red heads or blondes, whether you like small butts or big butts, long legs or short. I don't care! There are more important issues that require our attention.

Posted: 8/29/2007 7:26:25 AM
Ah Violet I think your take is a little off. In that although we may not be Hard Wired for it, over the last century or so they have been Programing us for it. Slowly and steadily they have reversed all the gain We The People have made. They have trained us to accept that they know better, "just sit back and enjoy your boob tube, we'll take care of things."

But the problem is they don't care about us any more then how much they can get out of us. So when they say things like they are trying to persevere our way off life. They don't mean Your way of life. They mean Their way of life, living off the back's of others!

I fear more for our future generations, as they will have never known what they lost, or even realize they have been born slaves.

Seems people are either not paying attention (Dem or Rep has nothing to do with it),

Or don't care (some one else will step up to the plate),

Or some how believe they'll be one of those to make it to the top.(News Flash: your blood isn't the right color).

And Blood is why they have taken their time about it. They messed up in the past and want to do it right this time so that Their Offspring, Their Blood will Rule All. That government that they believe to be divine will be the British Empire."

All the Treaty (of 1783) did was remove the United States as a liability and obligation of the king. He no longer had to ship material and money to support his subjects and colonies. At the same time he retained financial subjection through debt owed after the Treaty, which is still being created today; millions of dollars a day. Corporate welfare-the enormous and myriad subsidies, bailouts, giveaways, tax loopholes, debt revocations, loan guarantees, discounted insurance and other benefits conferred by government on business-is a function of political corruption. Corporate welfare programs siphon funds from appropriate public investments, subsidize companies ripping minerals from federal lands, enable pharmaceutical companies to gouge consumers, perpetuate anti-competitive oligopolistic markets, injure our national security, and weaken our democracy.
