Aww! A fix it forum.
My laptop will not let me post photos , the file is small. Everything is fine until you push the browser button and it only has a sliver of a space and it will NOT post .
My c disk keeps sayin it is low and the computer tech charged 100.00 to install so called memory and ? where is this so called memory because since he did that? I have less memory!! and my computer barely functions. No matter what i do to try to unistall to make space, it wont let me uninstall programs and it wont defragment , Ive tried this over and over. What can i do? Anything? THANX!!!!

Beauty over 45 - Susan Boyle

I dont disagree with you, Golfgirl. I just saw a whole lot of people knocking the McCains and wrongly so. And no they did not treat ME good just because of working for them.....do some more research. Everyone that has ever worked with him really has said he is a decent man and I do believe that we have ALL made mistakes in our lives,,,,me and you included. But even though divorcing my EX s was NOT something i wanted to do, the abuse and control was something I had to get myself and my children out of , something that STILL my 2nd ex is very very much in control of today with our children. Many people just look at the surface and dont really know what lies underneath...or so the abused thinks...but really ....people DO see the other side of the abuser !! They are just afraid themselves to come forward and say so. I have seen many items about my own ex and people have come to me about things my ex mother in law has said about me but ? who cares? I KNOW who I am. And Im a good person.
I agree with you about the attraction thing. If one is not attracted to another, you are right..HOWEVER the point I was trying to get across is this: beauty is so much more than skin deep.!!!! And those who have been in different and difficult situations know this first hand and would trade in that beauty any day for a relationship that has potential LOVE , AFFECTION and GOOD WILL ...

KEWL to see all of these great diverse answers.
Funny thing is, I think we all basically are TIED to technology and the cell happens to be it. My parents are in late 70 and early 80 and are HOOKED on their cells. . . Life is funny isnt it?
For us who remember how awwwsum cassette tapes were when 8 Tracks ran their race?? Hahah..Oh and according to my parents 8 Track was our present MP3 MP4 BLUETOOTH,etc... time. . . . . Great isnt it how it flies and repeats itself in styles etc? (well.....some trends anyhow!) God forbid we go back to Victrola's ..... :)

If you knew you were dying - Would you have a BUCKET List?
Posted:
5/2/2009 10:33:03 AM
wow
this thread is still going?
I like that comment ANDI. I have the same theory. LIVE LIKE YOU WERE DYIN.
You never know.
I have been to 5 funerals since February of this year. The first?
My cousin and his wife and and 2 little kids were coming home from a small weekend trip and his SUV went over the culvert, into a field and rolled into a pond. His wife and 2 children were killed instantly. He was like a zombie at the funeral. They played songs from where the kids had sang in their Christmas pagent only weeks earlier.
Three weeks later. I attended HIS funeral.. He just couldnt stand the pain.
LIFE is precious. Its short. We never know what tomorrow may hold. Obstacles are around us everywhere. But we just have to keep climbin and pullin on. There are many things that can give us joy if we allow it. But we are also programmed to keep things out. We have work at this.
Great post, OP!

Men and their dogs. . ? :)
Posted:
3/22/2009 3:02:38 AM
Just a question, Im sure it has been reviewed before but i searched all forums and didnt find it.
Why is it that men seem to think that 5 dogs slobbering and lickin and jumpin and smellin your crotch is appealing to a women??
I have a dog myself, so I am not against it, it's just that men post pix of themselves with their dogs and seem to cater to them more. Why is this? I know dog is supposed to be "man's best friend" and all that, but isnt that a matter of speech? Just pondering. . . Did you ever stop to think about if it might be wize to introduce the dogs LATER or ??
Like i said, I am not opposed to dogs. I just see this alot and wondered what the deal was with that?

I have always found it true that whatever effort you give you usually will recieve.
Every single site, no matter where you go has its up and downs. People on every single site can be losers, winners, full of life and spunk or full of arrogance and control. You dont and cant control who is where and who has a membership where.
I find no matter where you go , you will have sweet and wonderful peepz and then you will have that person who makes the whole world miserable.
Just have to take it in stride and keep being YOU!

Boys need fathers...Period
Posted:
2/13/2009 5:21:05 PM
o i c
"boys" need a dad? why not girls?
This one gets me boilin. My x very much like to stay in control of everything and everybody and everything must be "his way" then he tries turning it all around and saying "Its for the kids" RIGHT!!! No it isnt for our children , its for his own FRICKIN SELFISHNESS.
Unless a daddy truly wants to be a daddy for the RIGHT reasons , and not for a "get even " role to punish his x, then its pretty hurtful and damaging to the kids.
on the chill and open end, if a daddy WANTS to be a daddy and not only takes them to do the fun stuff but he must also be in on the daily support, drs visits and bills, school activities and BILLS they bring, school lunches, MEDICAL (yes BILLS) a daddy cant shirk ONE DUTY (like helping SUPPORT those kids he helped bring so willingly INTO the world, ) and yet try to CONTROL all other aspects of their life , including their activities, etc.

Just let it go, Sweetheart.
A restless disturbed mind will not help you nor will it help anyone else.
Seek inner Peace and ASK GOD or meditate or whatever way you have to release the past. As a counselor, I find the hardest thing for most of my clients is to let go and to get PEACE over it they must first LET IT GO and FORGIVE HIM and THEMSELVES for TAKING whatever grievances was wrought. I fought issues like this myself in my own relationships , and in giving advice to my clients, even though a Lover and Giver and Peacemaker myself, i still had issues within myself against my "wicked" x. So: One day when i realized i needed to follow my own advice, i took a deep deep breath ..and BEGAN MY JOURNEY!! and it feels SO MUCH BETTER than all the crap buried deep within oneself. BEST OF LUCK, Hunii!~

there are more shallow men on here than i even thought possible
It is YOUR loss if you dont want to cherish a woman because she has precious jewels and it is YOUR loss if you think the jewels are a burden
Children are a blessing and if made to feel wanted and appreciated by you, they will cherish you forever!!!

Woman won't tell me her last name
Posted:

why is THAT last name so important? so you can google her or look up her files?
are you a control freak that you need her full name?
Women can never, i repeat, NEVER be too careful these days.
OR men either for that matter!! Identities get stolen every single day, peoples homes get broken into, etc...their cars get stolen..all in the name of friendship online.
She is only being careful. Wize woman!!! Kudos to her. If you like her and wanna keep her or at least get to know more about her , take it SLOW! its only been a couple WEEKS....

interesting post. and interesting answers.
and here's my 2 cents.
i was married to a cheater. I didnt really know he was cheating. I loved him so much. He was a control freak. Even monitored the minutes i was gone to the corner mart. I didnt add it all up.
We were each others FIRST marriages. He is now into his 4th marriage and according to my daughters and his 2nd x...he cheats on her too. Im a firm believer that people can CHANGE , but thats only if they truly want and try to. This refers to abusive situations and cheating ex, .....anything that comes in that circle. Alot of it has to do with trust issues. Once that trust is broken, its hard to ever trust again. which leads to more cheating because of the simple fact of impatience, waiting for trust to be restored. Yeah. Viscous circle.

Would you let someone you met on POF read all your messages to other people?
Posted:
1/10/2009 4:23:59 AM
Is this a SERIOUS question ?????
WHY THE FRICKIN heck would they even WANT to ???? WOW!
If someone even WANTED to snoop in my business that happened before THEY were my interest, would set off so many bells screaming in my head
My now X husband did this to me,,,,,YES< he even ran my SS# thru the system just because he COULD,I (he abuses the political and family connections he has in the county and court system) etc. He had went through all my items I had stowed for YEARS in an old safe , items about my X husband that I had to keep because it concerned 10 years of domestic violence , and custody issues, and his phschiatric conditions etc. that i had to keep due to court / etc issue......OMG! (then he would keep asking me questions about things theres no way he would know anything about...) One of his x girlfriends he pushed on me then let me in on the secret 2 weeks after i had already married him , and carrying his child.
Needless to say he is now my EX husband....
CONTROL FREAK~
Then, a couple years after that , a guy i was dating and loved very much was a computer geek. He was very sweet and kind to me but also would not let me even breathe! A suffocating kind of love, I cared so much for him but everyone around me also saw how he would just "happen" to run into me at the market, my kids games and activities. etc....
And they alerted me to the fact, saying they liked him but he seemed to be a leech.
WELL....one day that affirmation came true. He ran out of my apt all pouting and whining . "IM A LEECH!??" he says to me???
I knew then he had been hacking my files. That was the end of our relationship.
So my answer to that is :
NO!!! NO way would i show them anything. I dont have anything to hide. I tell them everything anyhow but i wont be controlle d ever again. !! thats just insanity
THERE are many many many good and wonderful men in this world, I just happened to date a couple losers, but I have dated more WINNERS than losers, so please dont settle!!!! You are worth more than that. :)

Divorce...ticket to freedom land of happiness?
Posted:
1/7/2009 8:41:24 PM
WHAT THE !??????
ARE YOU REALLY SERIOUS ABOUT THIS QUESTION? GULP.
Blink
Swallow.
Ok, I mean, Either i am not reading this right , or you have not worded this properly.
Or....I dont know. I dunno. I just find this highly insensitive. Divorce HURTS ! and i do not care if you are the most prepared for it inthe world, I dont care if you worked yourself up for it, i dont care if you thought it was for the best, and in my case it was, (abuse)
but ....one day......my wonderful ignorant attorney didnt even inform me of the court date and 2 days later i get this notice in the mail that IM DIVORCED , that everyone had been there and it was final. WHAT!????????????????/
yeah. it hurt like the****ns. I am so much better off. But DIVORCE just reeks this whole issue of controversial whispher of "failure" FAILURE FAILURE ....F A I L U R E !! It screams I FAILED~! once again....and that sux!
it affects every single living person and soul that touches your life. Be it your child, oh yes indeed, your momma and dad, your sisters, brothers, extended family, and the friends your children interact with......your friends, ...your society in a whole, your banking, your library, who you socialize with, your vacations, your life in a whole and in whom you interact with......etc
Yes, DIVORCE STINKS!!! but your attitude and the way we handle it and go thru it and face each day has EVERYTHING to do with how we suceed in the future. :)

Does he also say, "I love you, but Im not IN LOVE with you?"
he has comitment phobia, and is a player and will never settle down. I finally gave up after 5 years and 9 years and a divorce later, guess what??? he has had about an average of 30 girlfriends who leave cuz of the same phobia, and live ins/or someone who according to him just "cooks and cleans" RiGHT!!!!
If i were you, I would run! there are plenty of fish in the big ole LAKE! Heck, even Lake MI alone has tons of em. :) what i am saying is , he wont change , Hun. Either accept it or move on to a man who can really truly show you what love is all about.! hugz and best wishes

My Weight and My Boyfriend
Posted:
10/13/2008 6:47:05 AM
MY HONEST OPINION
Even if you lose the weight,,,once you do, then he will just find something esle to find fault with.
seriously. If you are too thin, he tried to put weight gain on you. Then you gain 8 pounds and he complains cuz youre too heavy. Then you dont wear what suits him, you dont cook right , you dont clean to suit him, etc etc etc
Find someone who aprreciates you!!! im not kidding.
And do you know what else? the person who has a problem with YOUR weight, etc, probably is just as overweight as you. or more...way more. ! I know that to be a fact in most cases.
good luck

i have many many many friend i met first online and some i met online when the www first came out , say what, 14 , or 15 years ago and i STILL talk to them all the time. my life would be less without them.
thanks for a great thought provoking thread. :)

Would you date a middle aged woman with a young child?
Posted:
9/27/2008 7:09:09 AM
OMG!!! This is not even funny.
How do you suppose the children of older women feel? This is the most arrogant, outrageous thread i have ever seen!!
I had my first child 15 years before i had my last child. I was abused for 1o years, then lived in a wonderful relationship where i was spoiled rotten, but something really strange happened and i let the age gap win...and ended up with another abuser, ended up pregnant ..So my kids are 24,23,11 and 9. and i would NEVER EVER trade that for anything. !!!
No one can ever believe that they have two older sisters ...they always ask me if i was 10 when i had them, and i know that is supposed to be a compliment, but seriously, i dont think its cute..
i am very involved in their lives , just as i was my girls lives and i am the bestest momma ever. I really abhor this ridiculous pompous thread.
and OH YEAH! i refuse dates on a weekly basis from guys young enough to be my own child!! so you see, not every man out there are total jerks.

Why not ask her? And if you were just visiting that place, maybe write them and let them know how much you appreciated that drink and slip her a huge tip for the know how in making it??
Thats what i did once, and got the best recipe ever for a chocolatee maratte slide. We tried everything to figure out what it was made of , and finally we found a snapshot of the place and looked it up and called him (remembered his name helped).
Good luck!

where do they get their markers and poster board for the signs?
The ones i see are usually well written and on nice poster board with thick markers , i even saw one sign that had been printed out on a computer.
now these are ones i wont give freely to . . . .
But being of the social service field myself (battered women and children) i have a lot of compassion, I know that it only takes one or two lost paychecks to be where they are......

I do have 3 friends in canada , and according to each of them, in different locations , the age varies, however you are correct-0.
That still gives her no right to send out abusive emails. No need for me to retaliate back to her.

Raellic? and everyone else too, Im just wondering/? do you think 1000 a month is doable?? cuz i mean, wow, thats impossible to live on that. i have tried! and i have done a darned good job. peepz have told me they dont know how i have managed before, and i chalk it up to good management when i was a child , my parents had 6 kids and only my daddy worked and everyone thought we were "rich'
My mom knew how to budget and we picked up on that and even when i dont have to.....i go to Dollar Stores (not second hand) but Dollar stores. and Odd or Big Lots. i find that the stuff made there is the same exact stuff (same factory even) as those sold at krogers, walmart, kohls and even Macy! yep.
so , you see, sometimes our child hood sticks and Im glad in my case that it did. it has helped me to have a lovely home and have many many extras besides! my kids never do without. They wear nice clothes and have all the extras , like games, cellphones, gadgets etc, and more even than some have.
Haze56, i feel for you. I have been there. . .I know the hardship.
and the feeling you get when people try to help you , it makes you feel an inch tall. You are like me and would rather be the GIVER....:)
some people dont have because they dont know HOW to budget. Im not saying that people can not be down on their luck. BELIEVE ME!! i have been, but i am just saying that with proper management , usually it can be conquered. ;0

LOL, Jim, why am i a "poor thing" ?
I was just wanting others opinions and i did get a diverse variety! Thank you much
Today, my kids and i went downtown to the ZINCINNATI FESTIVAL. O my , what a site to behold!
And yep. beggars holding signs on every single corner. . . There's a black guy and his little boy , about my little boys age who plays drums at every event. i see them at Newport on the Levee alot too, and my kids drop $ in for them , they do a darn good job, but im wondering for that poor little boy, dont he get bored? Is the kind of living his dad wants him to have to know all his life???

Do men usually love their first wife the most?
Posted:
9/20/2008 5:24:43 PM
i think that EACH love is individual and a person of their own and can not and musst not be compared!!! Every one i have loved has been special and has been their own person. i wouldnt want my first hubby again, he was abusive, but he was also an excellent lover. The Englishman in between was the best thing that ever happened to me , why i ever left him i will never know...and then 2nd hub by. abuse , control and selfishness and did NOT know the first thing about romance or how to love , either , nor did he even WANT to love me. horrible.
But each person after was wonderful in their own way. i think people dont mean or want to be indifferent on the most part, but some people, well, its just who they are. And if they dont love you....well, they just dont.! and dont care if they hurt you meanwhile.
But most do try to spare feelings. :0

Significant lead in polls for McCain

no...obama is running the smear .....not McCain.
It is like when you cant find something bad about some one, just START something...and keep nursing it. Like as, how on earth can you keep your 17 year olds pants zipped up!??
Goodness. Now thats insane!! Why pick on something so stupid? And most people are not falling into that trap, it only makes them think WORSE of obama. I mean, hey, he has a daughter,,,,,,hope to god she never winds up pregnant at 17....i mean COME ON!!!
and besides these days and age, they ADVERTISE and PROMOTE teen pregnancy just about.
Who CARES if she has a teen daughter who got pregnant?? SO DID I!!! and i also got pregnant way PAST my teens , not intending to....unmarried and lost and alone.
I feel for her, and so should the rest , i dont care what party you are. Its called being of the HUMAN party!!!!

The Arizona senator has a 13-percentage-point lead over his Democratic rival both with men and senior citizens, and a 23-point advantage among rural residents, according to the Associated Press-GfK Poll of likely voters. He's also doing better than Obama at consolidating support from party loyalists: 94 percent of Republicans back McCain, while 83 percent of Democrats prefer the Illinois senator.

wow
no one looks at your profile simply because there is nothing there.
or, errr. anyway , what is there is tasteless.
pity party for you. most arent into that!
and you have no pix.
everything you say is negative. who wants or needs that?
Try rewriting it and be more affirmative and postitive and at least post one pix. you will strt seeing that you have hits.

well said, FP!!!
It does get frustrating when peepz dont quite get the point you are trying to make, but on the other hand, the written word can be SO misconstrued and read wrong. if you read something one way, it sounds like this to one person and that to another...
i love the written word, but it is a fact that some can relay to it or correspond with it very well.
good luck!
