“ God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel” –Constitutional Convention of 1787 | Benjamin Franklin: |

It is a rough thing.

Think of it this way, maybe it will help.
you want what is best for your children. If your son's step dad is doing such a good job, that he calls him daddy, I would think that he is doing a great job at step dad.

Just FYI, this would rip my heart out, too.

best friends and sex

** tangent warning !!!**** tangent warning !!!**** tangent warning !!!**** tangent warning !!!**** tangent warning !!!**** tangent warning !!!**** tangent warning !!!**

Well, this brings up another question. How many of us get into a relationship looking for someone that 'completes' us.
This seems awful unfair to the other partner, requiring the other partner, to make up for what the first one lacks. I myself will never be complete, I try to seek completeness another way. I think it is a beautiful thing where two whole people, meet, fall in love, get married and become one whole person, much better and more complete than we were alone.

I am much more pleased with the term you complete us. It lends more to an unstoppable force.

best friends and sex
Posted: 8/2/2008 12:01:12 PM
Once you have a best friend, it is hard to cross the sex line for fear of not being able to go back. Once you cross the sex line, its difficult to grow as friends for a time as, sex is forefront on your mind. Sex is on my mind a lot, but much more after I go there with her.
I think that sex too soon, impedes the friendship process.

I have noticed something here

Some people date with no interest in ever getting married again. The views of someone not after a long term may be different in this circumstance.

I have had meaningless sex.

Well, what was supposed to be meaningless.

Left a little of my heart behind every time.

Then, Grew more depressed every time.

Perhaps, I place a little more value on sex than some others.

I feel that I become one with the woman I am with. Separation produces tears that are painful.

I dont understand how this does not fall under relationships. It is all about relationships.

WOW

Personally, I think being best friends with the one you are dating is great. I have actually stopped dating for a while, one reason is because of the role sex has been in my previous relationships.

I think it has a detrimental affect on the relationship if you 'partake' too soon.

But what to do with all those hormones

I see all these profiles that says looking for best friend. My question is this. Does sex cause the road to friendship to slow down?

I mean, would it be easier to get to true friendship without the sex? You know, leave the sex out till after you have obtained the best friend status.

Just wondering what everyones thoughts were

Dating a Separated Guy
Posted: 6/12/2008 10:35:36 AM
First, the finlazation is different for different states, than it is for different countries. I would be concerned, however, that it has been 18 months

Come on. Why has it taken that long. He is asking you to bear the burden of this previous relationship.... and... is it really previous?

From the worldly stand point I would be weighing the aspects of why he is not divorced yet and how important you are to him.

The red flag I would be concerned about here is, can he live without being emotionally attached. If he cannot, you are looking at trouble. Eventually, he will do things that will force you to lose respect for him, and most ppl will not be with someone they do not respect

on the other hand...
If you profess to be a Christian, or a Christ follower, However... the rules are different
If you bring yourself under the rules of God, then, when is the marriage over. I would side on it aint over till its over. Read up on it and seek the guidance of your church leaders.

If he is separated and wants a divorce, then let im get it , then come back to you. In the mean time, read up on it and learn whet the Bible has to say about it.

If he is separated and does not want a divorce, run away from him.

Anybody know the number of US troops killed in Iraq?
Posted: 3/22/2008 8:11:03 AM
The question is no longer, should we have gone to Iraq.

The question is, what will happen if pulling out is not done properly.

Let's not forget who is just to the west of Iraq.

The leader there, in his own words, talks to his prophet in a well. He believes that the prophet will return when the world is in chaos. He is building a nuclear arsenal. If we pull out now, he has the ability, and the means, to invade and conquer Iraq. If he does that, he has twice the resources to build a hefty nuclear arsenal.

If we leave Iraq right now, we would be giving that to him. do you want someone who believes that he should blow up the wworld to bring his prophet back, having those resources?

I don't?

Forget about what country you hate or dislike, or what leader you hate or dislike, and think about what is good for you, me, our children and the world. To allow hate to control you on this topic is selfish and most likely criminal.

he cheats then says its my fault....
Posted: 3/21/2008 8:10:10 AM
First, He Cheats, his decision. For him to say that it was you fault is him just refusing to own up to something he knows was wrong. I hope he learns better.

second.
If he cheated on you, then you relationship was probably lacking things it needed. The does NOT mean he was right. Just means that things could need improving. I would suggest a book called "the Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman", regardless. If it does not help this relationship, it will definitely help future relationships.

Your decision right now must be whether you take him back or not. If he expresses a desire to come back, I believe he would need to say he was wrong and ask for forgiveness. then he needs to show a complete turn around in that kind of behavior and then needs to put himself at your mercy.

This does NOT mean you lord it over him. You forgive him and work on the relationship, or don't and move on. He will pay for his mistake through a higher power or he will otherwise be used for good. Not your call. If you exact revenge, then you will hurt you in the long run.

God bless

The party, after it started, was fun. I enjoyed myself and it seemed the others did as well. It sseemed this would be a good event to host again, but, we need a date where 80% of the people wont bail.
I really enjoyeed the fact that it was not a drink drink drink affair.
I also need to see if management would be willing to allow that again, as they were expecting at least 75% of us to show and they were probably disappointed.

We are going to try something different and have a Meet N Greet at a bowling alley. The manager at CowTown Bowling Center has graciously allowed us to host a meet on November 3rd. There will be of course bowling, and Karaoke.

There is no cover, but, if you want to bowl, she requested you call a week or two in advance and reserve a lane, the cost is $10 per person bowling. This covers the whole night.

Its on the corner of Azle Ave (199) and River Oaks Blvd (28th st) in Fort Worth

Cowtown Bowling Center is at

OJ Simpson arrested

my opinion is, i feel that these white people who have said things about oj. basically could careless about this st

I am so tired of being called prejudice. This is pure prejudice right her. 'These white people'. What if I said 'these black people'?

Get a life

If OJ is guilty, put him in Jail. If the cops ignored his pleas. Jail them too. As accomplices to the crime. It's the same as if they drove him there.

It looks pretty much like OJ killed his wife. But think on this, do you want cops having the legal authority of not defending you cause they thought you did something wrong. So it goes against your sense of right or wrong. Get over it. I look at the picture of how this can affect me in a court.

If OJ is guilty, then jail, but jail all the guilty parties.

If they entrapped him, then that is not on OJ and someone should pay for that.

Who is to blame if a woman accidentally gets pregnamt?
Posted: 9/18/2007 12:48:47 PM

Anyone know what happened in the case going to trial about the guy whose GF lied about being on the pill. He was suing to be held not liable for the child being that she lied/tricked him into it

He should be a dad and take care of child, but she should not get off scot free. Anyone have any ideas on what should be done about this. I have seen this.
I mean, she gets pregnant on purpose, knowing he does not want a child. He does everything right for protection and she counters them. Yet he is responsible. He should help with child, but I think her acts should be illegal

I don't know how to forgive someone and I think it's killing me a little bit day by day...
Posted: 9/18/2007 10:48:51 AM
We need divorced persons counselors. It seems that there are hurt feelings on both sides of the fence.
First, realize that forgiveness is in the best interest of the child. You and he will never come to agreement if you both have unresolved issues.
To forgive is to let go. In my book its to say God, take, I relinquish every right I have to retribution. It does not mean to forget. You may have forgiven, but the hurt may still be there.
Perhaps you just do not know how to overcome the hurt.
As right as you are, he feels the same way, which to him is reality.
Ask him to right down all the things are important in your child's life. And why. You do the same. In everything you ask of him, do the same.
Some men feel that if a guy does not curse, he will perceived as a wimp. Unfortunately, there is reality to this. I am, by no means condoning this, but, in dealing with the issues, you have to see the facts. In convincing your son it is not alright to curse, you must find a way to instill the character needed to deal with how the world perceives this.
It sounds as though his morals and yours are at different. This presents a whole world of obstacles. People never did there heels in harder than when it's about what they believe. this is why there are so many rules governing these forums.
The caution I would leave with you is that when your child becomes a teenager, where he lives can be decided by him. So, unfortunately, politics is required in this whole mess.

Trust and pray to God that he will handle what you cannot and for the wisdom to handle correctly and the virtue to follow though.

OJ Simpson - Part of Plan to SHAFT the Goldman & Brown families?
Posted: 9/18/2007 8:13:19 AM
This why all aspects should be investigated.
I hear in so many other venues to not judge. What are we doing here. You have all convicted him with out a trial. With only the facts that a press who wants more ratings give you.
This man is held without bail, for something others would be given bail for. Is he a flight risk? Or is he getting 'preferential' treatment.
Is there going to be an investigation as to whether they stole the stuff? Is there going to be an investigation on whether the police ignored requests for investigation from OJ?
Assuming he is crooked in this is so judgmental. Geez
If the guys in the hotel were 'in on this' should they not be tried as well?
Be careful how you conduct yourselves, lest you are seen as guilty without a trial

even if the stuff were his,...he had no legal right to seize or aprehend those he believes took his stuff,...his course of action should have been to call the cops to intervien on his behalf,....that's how it's done,....legally

He did call the cops, they refused to help

Should he just let them keep stealing his stuff?

OJ Simpson arrested

OJ did go to the police. They laughed at him. they figured he did not deserve their support.
I am the first to say that OJ got off easy in the murder trial. that's not on OJ though but on the cops. Although there is so much pointing to OJ in the case, evidence was clearly planted and it screwed up their case. He was a quited.
This means that he retains the SAME rights as everyone else, including the same support of the police. How would you react if someone kept stealing your stuff and the police refused to help.
I am not say OJ is right, but, if he goes down, the cops that refused to serve, (note the word serve,) should be fired and an investigation launched.
With so much pointing to OJ's prior guilt, everyone is so ready to hang OJ on this one. It is an extreme. Now let's turn the tables. If one of you get tried and a quited for something you did not do, but the cops thought you did it, should they be allowed to refuse to help protect you and yours.
OJ needed the protection of the police, and they refused.
Think about this, Cain killed able, God punished him, but God also protected him.
